~ Augurium, Day Zero ~
Mon, the 2nd of October, Year 500
09:45 - Trade Island 1, The Ampitheatre

Augurium CEO_Principal.jpgIt was, without doubt, a wonderful, crisp Fall's day. For most of the populated regions of the world, it was after the harvest. For the furthest of them, the students had been on campus already for a month, so it was right around the start of October. For those who had been there the shortest, they had only been there for a few days. They had made their way back around to Terra Augurium, having started in the same place, and now the school year was about to begin.

A tall, well-built man in a coat and vest with dark grey hair stood behind a podium on a large outdoor stage. It was near the middle of of the first of the trade islands. The assembly of students sat in rows upon rows of chairs. There were some teachers on either side of him, and he had a big smile on his face, himself. He had one gloved hand in his pocket, the other on the microphone's neck, "We are here to celebrate the beginning of your lives."

"You may have some knowledge of magic already, or you might feel like you're completely in over your head. This... This school, this organization... it is the place for you to learn who you want to be. Whether you're going into the Pugnator program or the Artificem one, this is now your home, and the people you see around you are now a part of your extended family. Magic is in your blood, coursing through your system like a fire that will consume everything. We are lucky enough that we can learn to control this fire inside of us. There are nations and groups that disagree with our mission. Some you have come from such lands. You know the hate, the fear, the doubt. Your old family, your old community, they didn't want you."

"Guess what. We do."

He ran the hand that was in his pocket through his hair, "I've been the Principal of this school for as long as most of your parents can remember. I've seen people come and go. The one, huge change that so many people have had to face coming here is that they are cared about. We want you to succeed. We want you to grow. We want to see what you do after you graduate, after you settle down, after everything. We are here for you, not for ourselves."

There were some people sniffling throughout the crowd. He sighed before continuing, hand tucking back into his pocket, "Now then. Soft words aside. I bet you all are wondering how this works. You've all had your dorm assigned for... well as long as you've been here, so I don't have to go over that. Your uniform will have been delivered to your dorm by the time we're done at this assembly. You must wear it during school hours, but when you're on your own time, you're free to wear what you like. This year, we have the luck of a few Ultima joining us for our class year. As many of you know, the Ultima is the pinnacle of magic, and with the sheer number of duplexes we have in this tier, their wisdom will be much appreciated. Some of you may even have one as a teacher."

1566616597184.png"Today, for the first time, you'll meet with your teachers and get a taste of your classes. Hopefully, they'll go easy on you, but I know for a fact you'll be given your tool today," he grinned mischievously, "plus perhaps something else... So go! Enjoy your day. Try not to get lost. There are signs around that you can follow, but if you get lost just find a helper. They'll be marked by a shirt that says helper on it."

He paused for a moment before seeming to recall something, "Ah! Right. While you are here, you will be supported. You will never have to fear going hungry. We cover basic needs. You may get a job while you are here if you wish - the trade islands have many available, and they love hiring students before anyone else. Even if you decide not to get a job, however, you still have a small stipend. 50 Crystal a week, enough for pencils, books, and other needs, but not much else. If you log studying hours, get good grades, etc., you can earn more. And yes, you're not going crazy, we do use a different currency than other countries. We've found this is the easiest, to make sure that everyone has access to goods. That said, if you brought money from home or are being sent money, you will likely be able to find a seller that takes your denomination. Otherwise, there are a few booths that will exchange your money for a small fee."

"While here, you are citizens of Terra Augurium, and after you graduate, that becomes permanent. If you came from a bad household, a bad nation, a bad situation in general, you won't have to go back if you don't want to."

"So. Go get your uniform and get to class! The uniform will have your schedule with it. Enjoy your magic for the first time. I assure you, there will be many, many more days of magic to follow."

He stepped off of the platform, allowing people to leave and get to it.

Dorm: Each housing building is more of an apartment complex. They are large and nice. Each dorm-house has two bedrooms, one bathroom, a kitchen/dining room, and a living room. Some students never get a roommate, and while some consider that to be a curse, others consider it quite the boon. They are the colors of the element living there, within a gradient range (Aside from the Pugnator dorms, which are a tasteful mix of darker and lighter shades of the colors, signifying that they are unified. No, they don't look like a rainbow.). Look at the crest of the school if you want an example of the colors.

1566605853510.png~ Ms. Sylvia ~
Mon, the 2nd of October, Year 500
09:50 - Trade Island 1 -> Scientificus Classroom on Magum Spiritus Island
Sylvia, her tiny frame covered up by a huge baggy hoodie with shorts beneath it, yawned about as big as her small mouth would allow. Her fangs showed as her ears turned back, then up again to their normal position. This was so boring. She was gonna fall asleep. Sure, it was her first year, but... like... did she have to attend this talking from the creepy principal? ...Okay, he wasn't too creepy, but he was scary. The kind of scary where you feel like someone could bury you with a word. He was powerful. He had to be powerful to have the position he did... how many people probably wanted him dead...

There were going to be Ultima here this year? Fun, though they'd probably tell her to try for Ultima... again... She was looking away when the principal was done. The crowd started to move and she sighed super heavily, stretching out her arms until her fingers just barely peeked out of the ends of the hoodie. Time to get to her classroom. She was a teacher for the Magum Spiritus students, her element.

She stepped down off the stage and into the wandering masses. Only a few steps in, one of her familiars appeared, phasing into existence on her shoulders - it was a large, incredibly fluffy Cheshire cat, purple tiger stripes and all. The thing, despite managing to perch on her shoulders, was easily bigger than her head. It was quite pleased that it was there, however, as anyone nearby would be able to hear it purr like an engine.

"Jasper, please darling. You're so loud in my ears," she giggled, voice like wind chimes, her long white hair up in a messy ponytail behind her, trailing to her buttocks.

After only a few minutes, she made her way to her classroom on the Spiritus island. It was of an old-style, like ruins of the old world with a network of multistory buildings close together, knit into a web that only looked more beautiful if you could see the colors that the Spiritus students could. All the purples and blues, flashes of color dancing from object to object, sparkles dripping off of a light fixture, the energy of the world on full display.

1566610087074.pngGothic architecture blessed the landscape, and even the labels on the doors read like surprisingly legible cursive, wrought iron wisping its way around the border of it.

Scientificus - Ms. Sylvia Caysin

Her classroom. She actually had one now. Since she was a Spiritus, herself, her class was on the same island that her later class would be for the caster type classes.

She bit her lower lip and strode in, full of emotion and with trepidation spilling off of her. Sylvia sat at her desk, the seat lifted like a barstool so she was at the correct height, and swung her legs. Her tail wrapped around her abdomen, and her hands plopped down on the desk that looked massive in front of her. Now, to wait. A ghost beside her that looked like a tiny blue wisp wrote her name on the board as she waited and watched.Fire testing 2.png

Mon. 2nd of October, Year 500
9:50 AM- Trade Island one -> The Ring, Pugnator Class

It was time for class. At least, it was time to start heading to class- though with the little speech the dean made, the time to get to class was reduced by five minutes. No matter. As it was, Auren was certain he'd still get to class on time. He did, after all, memorize the layout of the campus, and spent many of those walks counting the minutes it took to get to class. He had a schedule to keep- lateness wasn't a part of it.

As the group began to break apart, people going to their respective classes, Auren trotted off towards his own class: the Pugnator classroom. More specifically, the teleporter that teleported one to his designated island. THEN he would walk over to his class. As he approached the gate, spiraling with light, he took a moment to yet again admire the way the colors shifted and flowed, and sighed. To any casual observer- or, more accurately, anyone around him- he looked like a soul resigned to his lot in life, his face unchanging as his eyes darted left and right, taking in details. Then, he seemingly shrugged his shoulders, and plunged into the mass of light.

He reappeared on The Ring, his hair a little swept, but other than that, everything was in order. As he began to take in the scene of rolling green hills about him, he noticed a woman waving water in front of her. She seemed young, almost like a student, but her skill belied her status. Not to mention that he didn't see her in front of him when he went to the portal, meaning she had her own transportation method. Not typical of a student. So... was she the teacher? ...No use questioning it now. And he didn't want to ask, because he didn't want to seem like a fool to everyone else. So he stayed quiet. He would find out soon enough who this girl was.

As he approached the girl, he began to take stock of her and all of the students around him; the ones that were emerging onto the field with him. His head never moved, except when to look behind him- the action seemed almost lazy, as if he didn't care that other students were entering behind him, and what he did was only a casual glance to make sure that it wasn't anyone important. However, that couldn't be further from the truth, as the young man was taking everything in, eyes flicking left and right, analyzing everyone, taking in their appearance, posture, demeanor, even their behavior, and storing that data in his mind for later use. Information was useful, if used properly.

Mon, the 2nd of October, Year 500
09:50 - Trade Island 1 -> The Ring, Pugnator Class
Seryva was not getting paid enough for this.

...Okay, that was a lie. She was definitely getting paid enough. Still. Waking up this early to deal with kids was not something she was totally looking forward to. Hell... some of the kids would even be older than she was.

She chuckled to herself at the thought as the assembly ended, some of them might be a bit surprised by her age.
Surprised she's not just a student.
Youngest Ultima.
Heh.

...Okay, maybe she was a bit nervous too. Shut up.

She rubbed her face and walked off of the stage area. The instant her foot touched the ground, however, she pushed off with more force and her next step caught an orb of water that was suddenly there. This continued, step by step until she was above the crowd. Then, the orbs of water turned into a surfboard, pushing her along in the air to her destination. This way she didn't need to mess around with a huge crowd of people. She could get where she wanted, as fast as she wanted.

1566618833244.pngSeryva got to The Ring, the hoop that surrounded the entire tier of islands. The teleporter from the Trade Island led to this site. Where she... well... sat. It was endless green as far as the eye could see over small hills of rolling grass. No buildings here to speak of.

While she waited, the young woman played mindlessly with a whip of water back and forth in front of her.

~Liliana Bermudez~

It was actually a lot worse than she was expecting. Surprisingly, it wasn't being surrounded by all the students that was bothering her, it was the waiting. The dean was taking his sweet time with his speech and now Liliana's back was cramping from the hard chair they were told to sit in. They were petting at her ankles lightly, trying to offer some sort of comfort without exposing Themselves. It felt nice to know that she had a friend so close-by. Just when she thought her ass was about to lose feeling from sitting for so long, the dean ended his speech and dismissed them. Keeping her head down, the brunette mumbled a few 'excuse me's as she worked her way out of the row she was in. Pick up the uniform, and then go to class. But wasn't she supposed to change into her uniform first? Hesitating in the middle of the crowd proved to be a bad idea very quickly as students jostled her left and right. Ducking back into the flow of students in order to grab her uniform and schedule, Liliana decided to worry about it later. It's only the first day, they can't get mad at me on the first day right? Accepting her uniform with a quiet, "Thank you," the brunette read her schedule as she fought through the crowd to get to the portals. Scientificus. That's Magum Spiritus. It was easy for her to find the right portal now that she's been here for a month; before, the campus had been a confusing maze that she had gotten lost in many times. I could still get lost if I'm not careful.

Steeling herself, Liliana rushed through the correct portal and onto the other side. "Oh wow," she breathed. Moving over to let other students come through, the brunette let her eyes wander over the towering architecture before her. Terra Augurium was gorgeous, but the Magum Spiritus Island has a magical sort of presence to it. Well duh, it's full of magic. Trying to keep any of the other students from hearing her, she whispered, "Do you like it?" Her shadow rippled in delight below her before returning to normal. They seemed to like Collegium Magi, which was a relief because if They hadn't then Liliana would've immediately abandoned the school. I don't know if Mom and Dad would be able to handle that. Seeing their daughter going out and about had made them so happy. While it terrified Liliana to go out again, she couldn't stand to be the reason why they had such dark circles under their eyes.

Her brother would've wanted her to go too.

Taking a deep breath in before letting it out slowly, Liliana turned towards the classroom doors and began making her way past each one. Cursive was always difficult for her to read, so she took her time before stopping in front of a door that read: Scientificus - Ms. Sylvia Caysin. "Sylvia Caysin," she said slowly. Sylvia wasn't a common name, but it was definitely a pretty one. Turning the door knob slowly, she slipped in quietly before softly closing the door. A little girl was sitting on a comically high stool while a blue...flame? spirit? floated around behind her. Liliana gave a stilted wave with an awkward smile before slithering into a seat towards the back. It was always best to pick the back. Nobody could stare at her if she was behind everyone. Except the teacher. Speaking of which... Glancing around, there was no one else aside from her, Them, and the kid on the stool. She must be the teacher's kid, or maybe even a helper. She looked a bit young, but child prodigies weren't unheard of; and if there was ever a place for a child prodigy to study at, it'd be Collegium Magi. Sighing, Liliana put her right hand under her desk and closed it when she felt Them cradle it. It was childish she supposed, but holding someone's hand was comforting.

~María de los Ángeles~
María sat ramrod straight as she listened to the dean ramble on. She kept her face neutral, but inside she felt unsettled. Why is he acting like as if he cares? Everyone in the New Holy Roman Empire knew what Terra Augurium and their school was really like. They had an entire crater to remind them. With each and every lie the dean said, María felt her patience get thinner and thinner. They can't actually believe him, can they? The school had wiped out a entire nation just for crossing them, and they even touted it around like as if it was something to be proud of! It was sickening, and it quickly forced María to reevaluate her decision in coming; but in the end, she decided to stay. If we want to defend ourselves against the enemy, then we need to learn about the enemy. The Empire, while she loved it, was foolish in not training their magic users. If you wanted to fight magic, you needed magic. The brunette blankly gazed at the podium, before snapping back to reality as the dean dismissed them. Finally. Stretching as she stood up, she quickly forced her way through the crowd of students and to her uniform. "Thank you," she said as she accepted the folded clothes with her schedule on top. Already making her way towards the portals, she scanned the paper before setting her eyes onto the correct portal. Striding towards it, she passed through unhindered and ended up on the other side.

The Ring. It was...nice actually. A soft breeze made strands of her hair gently blow into her face, and the smell of fresh air and grass was refreshing. There were already two people there, with more coming in from behind her. A woman playfully levitating some around was sitting on the grass but wasn't paying anyone any mind. The other person was a man with dark eyes staring at her and every other student that emerged from the portal. She wrinkled her nose at him before moving away. Creep. Although, it was probably a good idea to scope out the competition. Gazing at the gathering of students with new interest, María watched as each new figure emerged. These are Terra Augurium's next generation of soldiers. It would be best to keep an eye on her fellow students while she was studying here herself. She'd likely meet them again on opposite ends of the battlefield. Frowning lightly at the thought, María tried her best to spot their teacher. Isn't it a bit unbecoming to not be here to greet the students?

Ivan Timurovich

Augurium

7:30AM

Wake-up for the school was normally around nine in the morning, but as the groggy Occidensian quite literally rolled out of his bed and thudded to the floor to retrieve his phone to turn off its alarm, even if today was more of an orientation, he relented to the fact that he couldn't break an old habit, even if he only bent it a bit. Before Augurium, as per routine, Ivan would be up no later than six-thirty in the morning to begin his routine, with black coffee to start his day before a quick warm-up and whatever bodyweight exercises he had for the day. Pistol Squats, one-handed presses, pull-ups, side-straddle hops, and basic punch and kick combo drills would be completed before breakfast, only to ensure that his body was running full-steam. Of course, he would jog to the cafeteria to eat before anything else, then return only when he had finished.

The jog took him longer than he thought, and returned to his dorm a bit more sore and somewhat irritated than he thought he would be, but by eight-thirty, he was showered, changed, and simply waiting to head to the keynote speech being made by the principle. In the meantime, Ivan took the time to let his muscles relax and food settle by checking in with the family. As of yet, he hadn't spent much time speaking to his roommate, preferring to become more comfortable with the space before doing so. His branch of the family seemed to still be doing well with their PMC and Security contracting business, and two of his younger siblings had chosen to get more into information technology than anything else, which was fine in and of itself. Not everyone could be a grunt, or else the Family would be a one-trick pony, and no one liked a one-trick pony in the world of business.

After an hour of catching up with his siblings and parents, it was about time to head off, and off he went, slinging on his black suit jacket over his pressed white button-up and tie, his Arcane Focus holstered in a chest rig that sat snugly beneath his left armpit. The Arcane Focus was something resembling a sidearm, but with a far larger barrel. It was a matte black, a personal preference, with wood panels for a grip, and of course the normal trappings of a regular sidearm without any need for a magazine or rounds. For all intents and purposes, it was about as safe as a fantasy wizard's wand or staff - entirely inert until Mana was pushed through it, and though he was a duplex, he only had real control over the use of Light.

Ivan's was a special case: Though he was a duplex with a strong handling of Ex Diem and a shaky-at-best working of Navitas, he drew the short straw. Ivan, unlike most other Casters, couldn't really cast far from his body. Last time he had drilled, the furthest he could push a Hardlight construct was only a few inches from his fingertips, and that had made things somewhat troublesome in the tests. It was the reason he had the Arcane Focus at all, otherwise he wasn't sure the school would have let him have it to begin with, and that would've been a problem unless they were more than fine with him being up-close for any of their class exercises when it involved any modicum of range.

The assembly came and went as it should have, and the other students began to shuffle off towards... Well, wherever they were going. He didn't know anyone here - or at least, he didn't know any fellow students aside from perhaps Tori, but that was because she was his roommate. Odd they would have co-ed dorms when it came to hormonal teenagers, but he supposed the school trusted them to be more mature about things. It was a lot of trust to place on teens, but then again, Ivan didn't really care. They were there to learn and to hone their skills. To improve upon themselves - not bump uglies of any sort. Ivan's ruminations seemed to jump from one subject to the other as he made his way towards the different platforms to take the students along to their destinations until he found the specific portal that would take him to the Pugnator ring - the same direction that he had watched a teacher fly off on a board made of liquid, and stepped through.

..... He would never get used to the sensation, to be sure, as his brain did a bit of backtracking instinctively to attempt to connect the dots on how he got from point A to point B. Logically, he knew that the answer was simple enough, no matter how complex the subject itself was: the portals worked as a sort of wormhole that brought together two different locations as if they were touching, causing a sort of rift in what he surely believed was quite a controlled manner. What greeted him was the sight of the Pugnator ring that most definitely was different from the last he had been in. A quick touch to his shoulder assured his rig was still firmly in place, being paranoid of the equipment since it had been so expensive, before he began to make his way towards what he believed had to be another student....

Nyara Innistra:

Augurium:

09:30 AM

A quiet groan left the girl's lips as she pulled the blankets over her head when her alarm began to sound its cacophonous klaxon, demanding that she rise from her restless slumber, no matter the fact she had been there for the past three weeks. She missed her old bed. It was somewhat softer and smaller, and the blanket and sheets she had for her old bed didn't fit at all. She had to be wired money so she could buy new bed fittings, and it was nowhere near the familiarity she once had. Sure, she still slept with the blanket she had from home, but it wasn't the same when the bed felt too big, the room felt too large, there was too much sunlight - and she had just frustrated herself enough to rouse herself from her bed and lurch towards her alarm. It was a very pointed habit she had to keep the alarm far from her bed, lest she never wake early enough due to a bad habit of blindly slapping at her pest of a waking-aid blindly until it ceased its heresy. By the time she had reached it and took a moment to stare at the face of her clock, however, she was more than awake and most definitely streaking through her room to prepare herself for the day. It was already half-past-nine and she was still in her panda-print nightgown. She had to get dressed, she had to fix her hair, get a quick snack - she even had forgotten to take a shower the night before, somehow convinced that she would have enough time in the morning to clean herself and be ready for the assembly.

Dammit, sometimes she thought she was more air-headed than her father... though she had to admit at least the man could be on time...

After having slammed her toes against more than one fixture in the dorm, limped out of the room, and hastily absconded with due rush towards the assembly, she had just enough time to slide into a seat, huff her bangs from her face, and breathe. Unfortunately, she didn't have time to do much more than throw her hair into a messy array of it-works-so-whatever, sling on her clothes, and sprint to the finish without a thing in her stomach. Twice her tummy had the rumblies that only hands could satisfy if she were a psychopathic cannibal Llama with a questionable fashion choice, and she absolutely couldn't wait to....

To...

To go to the Pugnator ring....

Everyone began to leave, and Nyara groaned as she took her time to stand and make her way towards what looked like the right destination, her mind more focused on her stomach. She had ended back in the dorms, to the Cat island, the Trade islands, and then the staff ring before someone took pity on her and helped her to reach the Pugnator meeting-place. Her face was rose-flushed by the time she had stepped through the right portal with the kindly staff member in tow before they promptly left, fidgeting with her fingers as she looked downward very firmly. Not only did she have an empty stomach, but the portals had quite a way with how they made her sensitive tummy dance and spin in ways that the human body should have never allowed in all of its evolutionary cycle.

Luna was bored to her mind. She didn't want to attend the orientation. She didn't even want to attend this school at all. She was slouching back on her chair to the point where she was close to falling off. 'How much longer...' she mumbled to herself while staring at the ceiling hoping to kill time by doing anything. Luna only listened to the important parts such as uniforms, schedules and classes. She ignored the motivational speech and useless info that she would only forget. After the principals speech ended, Luna stood up and stretched her arms out. Her face was tired and all she wanted to do was sleep or go back to her room and study.

Luna decided she would just go to her room and relax for the time being. She took her uniform and looked over her schedule. It was what she expected. She scrunched it in her pocket and made her way to her room. Of course, Luna had no clue where she was going. She ended up getting lost. Her stubborn mind however wouldn't allow her to look at a map or ask for directions. She was determined to find her way to her room herself. After losing her way a couple of times, she finally reached her dorm room. As she was about to open the door, she noticed a male figure approach. 'Oh no....', she sighed to herself while scratching her head. 'Please don't let that be who I think it is'.

He listened carefully to everything the principal said and his motivational speeches truly made him happy. After the orientation ended, he wasn't sure want he wanted to do. He could look around Terra Augurium and explore or he could try to find his classes and meet his teachers. He continued to decide but was soon later interrupted by the sight of water in the air. It was...a girl. She was bending water to create steps above the crowd which later then turned into a surfboard. Zale was amazed by how she was able to do that. It seemed she was also a Vene Aquas just like him. 'Wow....I want to to that too....' Zale thought to himself. Determined to ask the girl how she was able to do that, Zale chased after her but the crowd in front of him only slowed him down. After just a few seconds, the girl was out of Zale's sight. 'Crap...I lost her', Zale said to himself quietly slightly disappointed. He quickly lifted up his mood and said 'Alright! If I ever see her again, I won't lose her and I'll definitely ask her!'.

Now with nowhere to go, Zale decided to get his uniform and schedule. He accepted his uniform that was handed to him and said thanks. It wasn't too different than what he expected. He got 3 days off and 3 days of educational classes plus a career class. Zale wandered around Terra Augurium by himself in hopes of finding something interesting. He found himself in the Vene Aquas island. He was shocked by what he saw. There were bright lights and fish with varying sizes swimming everywhere. Zale continued to adventure through the Vene Aquas island. After several minutes, Zale was exhausted and couldn't move any longer. He sat down on an empty bench and began to doze off.

Rever Echni
closed__male_demon_adopt_by_nyastyle_dbq6fmv-fullview.jpgRever leaned back in his chair and sighed heavily as he listened to the principal. Gods could his speech take any longer? He didn't even want to be here. He got stuck here when it came to the country! At least he remembered to bring his case with him. When it was finally over Rever stood up happily. "Ah... finally. It's over, I guess. What was I suppose to do again?.... hmm something about a uniform? Oh right! It's at the dorms." Rever stretched some and reached under his chair pulling out his golem case. It looked like a large ornate wooden box roughly 2'x1'x2' making it a rather large box. Nonetheless he always carried it with him. Trying to lift it he huffed and sighed. He wasn't feeling very well and decided to open it, inside was a velvet adorned sectioned off boxes. Each having a stone figure inside. "Hmmm Natasha or Vita.... let's go With Natasha" reaching in he pulled out a figure that looked like a made. Putting the figure down he closed the box and stepped back. "I the creator, demand you awaken to will and rise before me." As he spoke those words his eyes and horns glowed and the figure grew in size until it was the size of a human what stood there was a Stone woman made from pristine Marble wearing a very nicely tailored maid dress. "Hello Natasha, would you mind carrying my box?" He asked the miad it nodding and picking up the box.

"Hmmmm I suppose I should head back to the dorms then. This will be quiet tiring I suppose. I hope they informed the teacher of my medical condition." He gracefully walked through the crowd quickly going straight to the teleporters. As he looked at them he tried to remember which was his. Shrugging he walked into one that looked familiar and luckily ended up near his dorm. "Hah. Luck is always on my side!" He announced aloud proudly to which made a few students stare at him weirdly. Nonetheless without a stutter in his step he walked into his dorm house and began his way to the room. "Wonder if that strange girl is still outside... Oh well. Natasha set the box down. And if you still have enough time may you make me a quick meal?" He asked her before lying down in the bed the maid setting the box down and quickly walking into the kitchen. Despite being made of stone she made almost no sound from her footsteps thanks to technique.

2cYzE.pngArachne quietly sat with a coy smile watching the speech, looking around she thought With a smirk "Man so many people! I cant wait. Make friends. And so many to gain info on. Though I should keep my precious babies away from very skilled teachers And classified areas." And at the moment it ended she quietly stood up and lightly walked off in the opposite direction. She wanted to get her uniform as soon as possible, To edit it to include hidy holes for spies! . But first......she needed to get back in her disguise. As she walked to thick tree line She simply climbed up it. In the tree was a backpack. To which She changed clothes, put on a wig and changed contacts. After that She hopped down out of the tree. "~alrighty, Ceris on the team!" She said to herself.

Kuroki.pngAs she began skipping back to where She hummed a happy tune. She was very happy to be here and intended to do her best. Even better, her roommate was adorable! Sure she was a bit cold but still didn't change anything! Running through the telporter she arrived at the dorm house and went into her room grabbing her uniform and inspecting it. A bit drab but it would suffice. So for now. She simply sat on her bed and sprawled out awaiting the return of her roommate. "Come on kira.... I don't even are if your brother shows up but hurry up!" She whined to herself

They had been brought to be in front of an outdoor stage where a old man had gone about details regarding their schedules.
He had been sweet talking a little bit at first and Tori couldn't feel but sarcastic irony when he said that the school wanted them but their families didn't.
She hadn't believed that in the slightest. This wasn't some charity case. People always had underlying intentions. Not that she cared.
When she would become an Ultima, none of that would matter. After all, that old hooter was an Ultima, why couldn't she become one too?

The man proceeded to talk about their uniforms and Schedules. A pink...uniform. Oh well she figured. It wasn't the end of the world.
And she didn't really need to ask for a designated helper. No she could just find her on her own. Time to find what her classmates would be like.

Pugnator Class. That was what she had chosen. She figured she'd do well in it anyways since she was already an expert in many stealth/spy related skills.
When she got to the trade island she noticed a teleporter that seemed to lead to the Ring. Very well. She hoped she wasn't the last person to get there.
Or honestly it didn't seem like it would matter too much on the first day.

Stepping through to the portal she had been teleported to what seemed to be a field of bright green grass. Some of the students were already there.
She analyzed the faces of the students, making sure to not forget anyone. Silently she took a spot near what she assumed was their teacher without saying a word.
She didn't really want to stand out too much but she often got called out in life for appearing intimidating or cold. It wasn't something she could really help.
Being careful was just drilled into her from being trained her entire childhood. And to be honest she was just removed from societal conversation due to her upbringing.
It wasn't like she hated talking, she just got tired of things quickly.

Hopefully she could just get by without being too annoyed. Even their teacher didn't seem to really wanna be here. Life could be quite tiring. She understood that.
Not that any of the other students seemed to dread being here. Tori tried not to look uninterested and patiently waited for instructions or in the dreaded possibility of somebody trying to interact with her.

09:50 - Artificem Class, Vene Aere Island
Damon didn't go to the assembly. He was supposed to, but... that sounded boring and crowded and like a waste of time. Instead, he holed himself up in his classroom on the Vene Aere island. He was special to the school, though he didn't particularly feel like it or care. He was just some crazy guy that decided he had to prove something to himself and to others. His hair was a short, disheveled mess of ice blue, the same color as his eyes. He looked like an adorable twink, and that certainly got its own sort of attention. Students had only been on the school for a month at most, but he had already been propositioned many times.

He made a little sound that was akin to a whine and leaned back in his chair, staring up at the ceiling. Would he like his students? Would they like him? Would he do a good job? Was he really fit for this? He was the first double ultima of all time... mostly because there wasn't such a thing, but his crazy ass decided that the first bout of training wasn't enough. Got two degrees... so he felt like two Ultima certifications would have been appropriate. It didn't exist. He made it a thing. Simple.

1566690625609.pngThe man chuckled at his own thoughts, but only half got the sound out before a dragon the size of a cat hopped onto his chest.

Oof

The white dragon rumbled at him and nuzzled his face.

"Kiras," he said, out of breath now, "You know that was mean. Butt head." He scooped up Kiras and sat up straight again, looking into the room, "I hope to start soon. I'm excited."

Her roommate was Liliana. Liliana was like her. She wasn't an abomination. Maybe she wasn't an abomination. She didn't have the same issue. She was okay. She was older than her too, so maybe she could be okay too someday? Maybe?

The image of blood strewn across a tile floor made her squeak and scramble for her tool. She had gotten it early. Needed it. Needed it to stay safe. To stay okay. It was a black paintbrush with the softest of tips she had ever felt. It felt like it was made from a chinchillzin... though how they would have groomed one, she didn't know. She gripped that brush like it was the edge of a cliff and shook under her covers. She had to get up. She had to get to her class. Her classes were her only hope, right?

Could she not be a monster? She'd go to hell either way, so did it matter?

Venissa planted her hands firmly on her cheeks, the brush in her right hand, "Stop it! Stop it stop it stop it." It mattered. She mattered. She was all she had left.

The girl slid out of bed, actually in her uniform already as she had been out, but had decided to hide as long as she could in her bed after the fact. Now she was gonna be late if she didn't hurry.

Dumb. Stupid choice. Stupid girl. Deserve hell. Deserve what happened. So stupid.

"Damn it all," she rushed out the door and ran to the teleport, then ran to her classroom. Was she going to be the first in here? Ms. Sylvia Caysin? How many people would already be here? If she got here first she'd look bad. If she was late she'd look bad. What if there wasn't anybody else for this teacher? Was she stupid for her class being what it was? No. It was literally science.

"Shut up brain," she muttered under her breath before opening the door. The wave of relief when she saw Liliana was unreal. A smile finally donned her pathetic face, "Hi! I didn't know you had the same thing as me! Oh my gosh, I'm so happy there's someone I recognize. Can I sit next to you?" Please please please say yes. I look stupid. What if she says no? Embarrassment. Horrible. Stupid. FUCK.

Even though Miranda has been practicing her magic in Terra Augurium for six days. She honestly wanted to cry when the Principal said that they care, for she had to run away from the Egyptian Theocracy for having magic. Although, Miranda didn’t shed a single tear on her face, she was quietly sniffling in the crowd. Because she knew that if she didn’t do that, her wind magic would go nuts again. As six days wasn’t enough for her to stop her wind magic from coming out on its own. But Miranda got some basic understanding of how her wind and light magic works. ‘That part of the speech is so touching, but I need to pay attention to the rest of it.’ thought Miranda.
As the principal continued his speech, he finishes it by saying that they need to get their uniforms and go to class. ‘Alright. The principal is done with his speech, so it is time to get going.’ thought Miranda. She got up from her seat, and tried to go to her dorm in the Mago Ex Diem island. However, Miranda got a bit too excited about this that she accidentally got herself lost. ‘Which way was the Mago Ex Diem island? I kinda forgot, since I got way too excited to start school that I wasn’t paying attention.’ thought Miranda. Not wanting to be late for her first class, she immediately went to find a helper to ask them where the Mago Ex Diem island is at.
They guided her to the portal of that island, thanked them for the help, and immediately went to change into her uniform once she was at her dorm.
After Miranda had done that, she looked at her schedule to find out where she should be going. ‘It seems that I am going to the scientificus classroom.’ thought Miranda, who left Mago Ex Diem island.
Looking at the signs, so she wouldn’t be lost again. Miranda found where the scientificus classroom is at, because the Magum Spiritus island’s portal had a sign saying that the scientificus classroom was there. ‘Oh good. I found where the scientificus classroom is at, and I hope I am not late.’ thought Miranda.
Upon entering the portal to the Magum Spiritus island, and going to the scientificus classroom. Miranda was just standing there when she opened the door to the classroom. For there was a child sitting in the teacher’s chair. “Did someone leave their child in here?” said Miranda, who didn’t know that Sylvia was the teacher.

Locoma
069.png

Locoma had been watching with interest at the speech. Everything the man said, he said with so much gusto and confidence it was as if you wanted it to be law. "I can see why this man was made principal. His charisma and ideals are perfect for the Job. "She mumbled to herself. Though do to her intense focus on the speech, she had not noticed. Or really she never noticed the boys on both sides of her staring at her. But at the moment she heard the speech end. She stood straight up and began walking to her dorm. She wanted to get to class as fast as possible. Despite her blank gaze she had through her walk she was very excited. Getting into her dorm room she grabbed her uniform and inspected it...... very functional. Locoma understood why the school chose it. Walking into the bathroom she quickly changed into the shirt leaving nearly half of it unbuttoned and a pair of form fitting slacks that came with the uniform. Skirts are nice... but a bit impractical inside a lab. With that she headed off to her class.

Upon approaching her class she saw another person walk in. Shame it seemed she wasn't first. But nonetheless it should be fine. Walking in at a calm pace she found a empty table and sat at it putting her medical bag underneath her chair and quickly looked around. The other students seemed nice. And... was that a little kid? Wait no. She heard a few older students mumbling about the science teacher looking like a Little kid. So that must be there. It must be very interesting to hear how she acquired that form. And if it can be fixed using Medicine!

1566616317101.pngKawin Twins
The kawins were in the assembly unfazed with the speech given to them and only took the important info seriously, to them the get together was very boring and not even that inspirational but they guessed that some suckers were eating it up like candy. The twins have been spending their days here adjusting, training, reading all while spending as much time together as possible which basically meant that they mainly only separated when it was time to head to their dorms. But now they would have classes which would mess up their meet up scheduled got quite a bit and now they would have to figure out a new way to meet up all the time. The kawins sighed a bit before giving each other goodbye hug no real words were usually needed by the two because of how strong their connection with one another was. They could already tell how the other felt and they were both a bit sad about being separated but they knew it couldn't be helped. They then turned to go to their respective dorms wanting to hurry up and learn what tools they will be getting and how their first days of class would go.
Arik walked out of the auditorium and heading back towards his dorms to get his uniform and scheduled he was curious about what the Head of the school meant by tools. He always did like getting gifts, who doesn't , a tool though would be like a present given to you by the academy he was a bit excited for that part atleast and he went back towards his dorm. He doesn't really bother his roommate that much due to the fact he was mostly the type to keep to himself but when he reached the dorms he unlocked it and went inside before re closing the door once again. He then went over to his bed and looked over the uniforms that they were given. They were all neat and he had one that was Purple and the other one was black considering he was currently on the spiritus island he decided purple would be the best choice he then looked over the uniform once more before thinking about if he should wear the skirt or blazer. On one hand it would be funny to trick people into thinking they were Kira or a girl on the other, well he couldn't really think of anything bad so he decided to pose as Kira he was pretty sure Kira would of thought of did the same anyhow. He then put on the purple uniformed short sleeve shirt and skirt and checked the mirror adjusting his hair to look just like Kiras, he always loved pulling one of these types of pranks on people. He then walked back towards his bed and picked up his scheduled and then began to head towards the class it that it said he was suppose to go to. Upon arrival though he found a little girl behind the teachers desk at first he thought that she was likely the teachers daughter or something but after deducing the fact that the teacher would of stood close to their child he quickly ruled that out and figured that she was either some sorta Prodigy or way older than she looked. But he couldn't help but admire the fact of how adorable the teacher was which is something he never thought he would think about in his life but to be fair anyone that saw her would of thought the same. He stared a bit at the teacher before deciding to take a seat near the corner end of the classroom.
Kira Kawin
Cam E. Leon Cam E. Leon
Kira walked away from her little brother she still liked the title as older sister even though she was only a few minutes older than him but she really couldn't help herself with it. She walked over back to her dorm area and went to her bedroom to find their uniforms just as the instructor said they would although she wondered if the used some sorta magic to transport the uniforms their. It would of been very much work and pretty creepy if someone went to everyone's room just to drop these uniforms off she shuddered a bit at the thought but by now creepy shouldn't really faze her that much by now. She took her uniform and decided to go with the yellow uniform she then looked at the pants that she could wear at first she thought about the skirt but then she realized that it would be fun to pose as her brother for the day or at least as a boy. She recalled all the pranks they use to pull at back at the family estate the servants had a very hard time telling them apart to say the least. She quickly decided that she was gonna try to take on the appearance as her brother he was likely gonna do the same to say the least after all great minds think alike after all. She then took her the Yellow short sleeved shirt and blazers and was gonna take them to the bathroom to change before she noticed that their roommate was their. Oh jeez, this otta be good although she didn't dislike her roommate she did consider her to be inferior to herself but she was still contemplating on wheather they would be useful to keep around or not.

09:50 - Magum Vitae Dorms
She had specifically requested to be in the Magum Vitae dorms. The connection to life was far too important to her to miss out on. Her parents, being both Ultimas, helped with that request being put through. And now she had to contend with a rather... interesting roommate. He seemed to have a good handle on his abilities. He was a duplex like she was. He seemed... nice enough, but wow he didn't want to lift a finger for anything. She was extremely shy, but his brash words and nature kinda made her feel more at ease, weirdly enough.

"Hi," she said to the golem having just gotten back to the dorm from the assembly. They probably weren't sentient, but it made her feel better if she said hi and thank you and all that. She whizzed past the kitchen and into her room all the same, however, taking no pause in putting on her uniform, the green one, in particular, to match their dorms. She checked the makeup that covered the mark below her left eye and sighed before heading out again. Everything on, settled, and a few minutes to spare, she peeked her head into her roommate's room, knocking on the door as she stuck her head in, "Hey."

"You alright? I have to go to The Ring for my class. Where do you need to go?"

Cam E. Leon Cam E. Leon

Ian paid attention to the entire assembly, though most of it was unimportant he couldn't help but notice something. All of the angles on the principal's body were perfect for sudden bursts of power as if he was always ready to jump into action. As he thought about it, it made perfect sense as countless people wanted him dead from all around the world. Aside if his teacher spotted him paying attention he may earn some favor for being presentable rather than sleeping or playing around. He soon grabbed his uniform and headed straight for his room to change and head to his class.

He took his time getting back as he wanted to see if any of the girls were good looking and near his room, which unfortunately were only a few. He found his roommate Luna at the door looking at him with disgust. He remembered how she was somehow hiding her huge boobs from the general populous, which he couldn't help but grin at remembering the scene where he found her changing.

Nyara Innistra.
Tori Azure.

Not all of the faces she knew would be in her class, but eh. Enough to start with. She looked them over, the water she was playing with falling into the grass. These kids all wanted to fight, whether that was to protect the people they love, get some form of revenge, or just get stronger. She wasn't the sort to hold hands and sing songs anyway. There were more important things in life. For her, that was two-fold. Get stronger. Always, always get stronger... and do so to protect those you care for. She had spent so long forcing herself to improve for a reason, after all. These students were just at the start of that same journey. If she taught them right, maybe some of them would even go on to the Ultima program.

"Hey," she started, starting to stand up, "So... uh... while we wait, anybody wanna spar? There's all this space and nothing going on." She balled her fists lightly, holding them up playfully, "Come on, that'll be a fun way to get to know each other. Any takers?"

1000hrs, The Ring - Pugnator Class

Students were slowly trickling in one after another as he made his way closer to the teacher that he had seen abscond from the assembly once it has ended. It didn't take long for the woman to speak, either, and she was issuing a challenge. Appearance-wise, she seemed small and lithe - not much of a combative build, but if she was the Pugnator instructor, she could have easily been hiding her features under what appeared to be somewhat baggy clothes. Oddly enough for a fighter, she seemed to deign to have her hair down rather than tied back and out of the way, and she was the first person he could admit saying that olive-hued eyes looked good on her. It was a strange mental compliment to be sure, but then again, she also looked impressively young for an Instructor.

Still, there wasn't any reason for him to take her lightly. Slowly raising his hands to crack his knuckles, Ivan paced forward with the lumbering grace only a six-foot-eight dexterous giant of a man could have. As he did so, he noticed a waif of a girl who had come in flustered seem to step back a bit, seeming as if she was in the wrong place at the wrong time rather than a Pugnator student. That was something he would disregard as he moved to be about twenty paces from the woman in front of him.

Within the confines of his black suit and tie, Ivan seemed to be more of a lanky bear than anything physically imposing that didn't consider his height, but taking his jacket off showed that his arms and core were much larger than they initially appeared. His white button-up strained slightly under the pressure of his muscles as he reached to loosen and discard his tie, sleeves doing much the same as he unbuttoned his cuffs and rolled them up to mid-forearm, exposing veins that nurses would ogle at beneath taut flesh. He didn't seem to have a single hair on his body - at least what others could see.

His shock of black hair shifted only slightly as he tilted his neck to loosen the muscles, honey-hued irises staring the woman down before him.

"Would be happy to oblige," Ivan said, speaking for the first time that day. "Timurovich are rough, so feel free to be as well- apologies if it seem as if I am bragging, since I assure you I know the odds. Should we go to exhaustion or knockout?

"Also, if anyone wish to fight before I do, it would be best to settle with spar of our own," He continued, looking back to his fellow students. "Still, probably won't take her long to get to your turn."

Ian arrives as soon as he finishes talking with Luna and changing into his new uniform, being one of the first few to arrive. After a while everyone arrives and the teacher begins talking. As soon as Ian heard the word fight he jumps up to do so with his practice sword which had a blunted edge in hand and his fighting spirit rearing to go. But before he can claim the first fight another guy beats him to it but instead of directly fighting the teacher he challenges the other students.

"Bout damn time I get to have some fun!" Ian says before squaring up with the big guy. He then begins analyzing him for any weaknesses by checking his stance, the angles of his body, any apparent imbalances, and an assortment of other things. He takes a solid stance that didn't give any openings as he waits for the big guy to move first. Ian being a faster and more agile person a battle on the move would be more enjoyable.

Auren Corve
Mond. 2nd of October, year 500
9:55, The Ring, Pugnator class

Strange... so the water-wielding girl was a teacher. Auren could've guessed that already, but he couldn't help but feel a flash of surprise. And another one, when she offered people the option to spar. Either she knew exactly what she was doing, or she had no clue at all. Forcing untrained- mostly untrained- magic users to fight each other? That sounded like a death wish for the two involved. Perhaps she was more skilled than even Auren suspected. No matter... two students had already stood up to challenge each other.

Auren did a quick examination of the two students that chose to do a...friendly duel. In his mind, he couldn't help but snort. Already trying to establish dominance over each other. Typical. Most males wanted to prove themselves superior to everyone else- even Auren liked to do that. However, where Auren did things subtly, only engaging directly or openly when absolutely needed, these two decided to go straight out, flailing their powers at each other, just for the fun of it. If it was for improvement, Auren could see the merit. But this was just to see who was better. Ridiculous.

Still, he knew he had an advantage here, in that he could examine the two's fighting styles, and use that to his own leverage. Especially when a fight could happen. That, and he wasn't going to waste his energy dueling, while simultaneously allowing the teacher to get a grip on his own fighting style. So, he simply sat in the verdant grass, making sure to note every detail that would happen in the fight. Not that he would forget.

Ivan

The student that had approached had set himself in a way that said he wasn't going to go first, and was instead waiting for Ivan. That was fine, and considering Ivan didn't take any particular stance, but rather allowed himself to stand casually, he wasn't exactly throwing out any red flags when it came to structural weaknesses in his form. Instead, he lifted one foot, took in a breath, and then brought it down with more speed than someone his size should have been able to do. The resulting consequence of the motion would cause a sudden tremor for the next twenty paces around him, which his sparring partner surely was inside before he moved, using his shaky control of Energy to propel himself forward at breakneck speed as what appeared to be plates of light coalesced around his forearms. Ivan wasn't stupid, either, in that he moved towards the man with his arms raised. If he got hit in the legs or the torso, then so be it, but he wasn't about to take a strike to the head.

The time that Ivan would take to close the distance between himself and his opponent would be a second at most, but instead of leaping at the man, he decided to take the man's own stance into account. Considering Ivan's opponent was waiting to receive a blow rather than to take the initiative, it stood to reason that the man's feet would be wide apart, rooting himself in place for a normal charge, but it left an opening for Ivan to get behind, but his rush wasn't just movement. As Ivan would have lowered himself to slide, moving in such a way that the man couldn't simply stab him or be as successful with a basic cut, his right hand would reach out to snag his opponent's weight-bearing ankle, and if he was successful, would promptly drag his colleague off of his feet to come crashing to the ground. Regardless of Ivan's success or failure, he would quickly dig his lead heel into the dirt to pitch himself upward and back onto his feet, Hardlight still radiating around his forearms and back to his stance beforehand.
