To clarify, supernatural beings are mostly hidden. The average person doesn't commonly see magic, vampires, dragons, ghosts, etc.

Hope its not too disappointing to you all, but a future mission will kind of rely on this bit

Maniacles deals with the supernatural all the time. The mercenaries mostly know about them, though some mercenaries have only dealt with conflicts involving other humans. Even though many Maniacles mercenaries know all about the supernatural, they aren't going to run around talking about it to people not associated with Maniacles because not only can they get in trouble with their higher ups, but people who don't know about it will just think they are crazy.

No they can't. 2d can't affect 3d.
But if the 2d plane was damaged.... it would damage the object
however you could probably control it from the 3d plain but only moving through the 2d plain
