Fandom A Lion's Pride - Ranma 1/2 (Ranma-chan x Ryoga)

Bunesh

Filled with DETERMINATION
Just for clarification, I'd be playing Ranma.

Cologne warned of the dangers of the Shi-Shi Hokodan, a power that takes one's despair and magnifies it until it overcomes the user and they self-destruct, only hastened if they face another user of the same skill. Like two tigers fighting as they fall down a mountain. Ranma inevitably developed his own technique, but Ryouga continued to utilize it as one of his trump cards, each blast feeding on his self-esteem, sinking deeper and deeper into depression. But what happens when the tigers reach the bottom of the mountain?

Ryouga Hibiki has been the one constant in Ranma's life, even more than Ukyo was Ryouga, always challenging Ranma, always following him, fighting back-to-back as much as they did facing each other, and learning the Shi-Shi Hokodan didn't change that.

Until it did.

Unbeknownst to all but The Lost Boy, Ryouga's depression and despair had been gnawing at him, devouring him up from inside until it fully consumed him, leaving the fanged boy looking out at the world with a dark, empty, bleak look. What point was there? He'd spend the rest of his life alone, he'd spend the rest of his life cursed to turn into a damn pig, never knowing a real home, never knowing what it meant to have a real family.

The loneliness, despair, shame, and sadness tore at him as he sat alone in the woods, the lost boy not noticing that his sickly green aura had sprung up and was growing brighter and brighter as he fell deeper into the dark feelings that had built up inside of him. In fact, he was so consumed by his depression that he failed to notice that he wasn't in a forest... he was in a wooded area next to Furinkan High, and the brilliance of his aura was so great that Ranma could see it from the roof of the Tendo Dojo. Recognizing that glow anywhere, Ranma sprang into action and charged towards the high school, but in his haste to reach his sometimes-friend, sometimes-enemy, the pig-tailed martial artist forgot to inform anywhere where he was going, and instead focused on reaching Ryouga instead.

Arriving at Ryouga's camp, Ranma called out to Ryouga demanding to know what the hell was going on, and that one question broke the emotional dam Ryouga had built up. Ryouga snapped that it wasn't any of Ranma's business, Ranma refuted this, saying that it was since Ryouga was lit up like a light bulb, but lost in the toxic emotional quagmire, Ryouga was not thinking straight and so this set off an argument. Ryouga yelled and screamed, pouring out all he had kept inside, every word brightening the green aura, deepening his despair, but while Ryouga was blind to what was happening, Ranma wasn't and could see that Ryouga's body couldn't handle the stress. He tried to calm the other boy down but couldn't, Ryouga's ranting growing even more animated, but it was when Ryouga's clothes began to smoke and his skin started to scorch that Ranma acted, jumping in and grabbing the other boy, trying to siphon off the toxic ki until someone else could arrive to help, like Cologne or hell, even Happousai.

But they didn't.

Ranma kept focusing, bleeding off more and more of Ryouga's poisonous green ki, while Ryouga tried to figure out what was going on, only then finally noticing his deadly green aura and how out of control it had become. He tried to suppress it but he couldn't, the Shi-Shi Hokodan was going to destroy him, but Ranma wouldn't accept that. Digging deep, Ranma emptied himself of all feeling, all will, and become emotionally hollow, then filled that emptiness with Ryouga's ki, pulling more and more into his body, even as his skin began to crack. This time, it was Ryouga trying to stop Ranma, but Ranma wasn't able to hear him, because in absorbing so much of Ryouga's ki, he had also started to see some of Ryouga's memories, feel his emotions and it was all too much for him. There was a giant ki explosion that tore apart the wooded area and shook Nerima.

When Ryouga awoke, he found himself in a bed in the Nekohanten, with Ranma laying in one near him. As a girl. And what Cologne revealed next shook the lost boy to his core.
