Stands at 6'2". Has a very muscular build which is no surprise since he trained at Durmstrang. Hair is a black and his skin typically more of a tan to it, though when stuck inside for multiple days in a row he will lose the tan. He is almost always seen in business casual-business formal, though on the odd occasion he can be seen wearing a loose shirt and shorts. ​

JBalso believes that everyone should come to class dressed anything but casual. After all he believes your outward appearance reflects your inside and you should dress at least semi-decent.
> History -JB doesn't really remember much before his time at Durmstrang. This is not due to an injury or anything but it just that so much happened at the school that he just cant remember a time before being a wizard. He was one of the students who would live there all year long despite having a witch and wizard as his parents. (Only pure-bloods get accepted into Durmstrang after all) While in school, his studies primarily focused on the Dark Arts as well as marital magic. He was on the quidditch team as a chaser and was actually pretty good at it. While in his last two years at the school, JB dated and fell in love. They had promised each other that once they graduated they would get married and move away from this place for good. It was through her that he realized practicing the dark arts was actually frowned upon pretty much every where else. JB unfortunately lost her during their last year for she had been drawn to participate in the triwizard cup and was accidentally killed during one of the tournaments.

Upon graduation JB was offered a teaching job at Durmstrang but turned it down for he wanted ot travel and also felt no need to stay there. After a few years of traveling and doing odd jobs in the wizarding world, he was offered a position at Hogwarts as the professor of the Defense Against the Dark arts class. He said yes for he had see what the real world was liek and wanted to be able to teach the younger generation how to defend themselves from that kind of magic. He of all people knew what it could do.

Name: Travis Wright

Age: 29

Year: Staff for the past 5 years, 3 years assisting with work around Hogwarts, 1 year as an assistant to Defense against the Dark Arts, and most recently an assistant to Professor McGonagall in the Transfiguration Class. His work for this year is currently undecided.

Wand: It is a Blackthorn wood with a Pheonix Feather core. It stands at 12 inches and appears to have taken on a deep purple tint. Has some fracture marks from extensive battle that have been expertly patched to still reveal their damage. After disarming and killing his own Father during the great wizard war, he carries with him a Chestnut wand with a Dragon heartstring core along with his main wand. He only keeps this wand as a reminder of the death and carnage of that day, and does not use it unless absolutely necessary. It stands 11 inches and has a slight curve to it.

House: Ravenclaw

Some younger students describe him as a modern day rendition of Death. His demeanor shows him as well educated and sophisticated, but also present his match with death. His eyes seem distant, he carries a lot of pain and anger. He has a scar that runs down his right arm, and a tattoo along his left arm representing death. He also has the Ravenclaw Crest tattooed to his left shoulder and multiple scars along his back where he was beaten with a whip.

Likes: Bright rooms, which prevent the shadows from creeping up on him. The Ravenclaw Tower, it reminds him of the way things used to be. His Brother and Sister, and his Aunt and Uncle, who took care of them when Travis couldn't.

Dislikes: Stuck-up people. Giving up, as it is a sign of failure. His Parents, who abandoned him.

Positive traits: Very defensive. Protects those whom need protecting. Passionate in his work. Well-versed in the arts of combat, whether magical or physical.

Negative traits: Is constantly woken by nightmares and is sometimes ill tempered. Very defensive, doesn't let people into his life. Has been betrayed too many times. Is easily distracted by his thoughts.

Quirks: His smile is contagious, although it hasn't been seen in quite a while. When in the company of friends, he speaks his mind. Has a knack for teaching.

Fears: Large groups. Confined spaces. Abuse of animals and creatures, regardless of what kind they are.

> Personality Before the war, Travis was cheerful, even though his childhood was filled with pain. He had a contagious smile and was well liked. After the war, he is isolated. Defensive. He is over-protective of his siblings. He can be very quiet when not teaching and prefers to teach with his hands and not with a book. He feels that people learn better when they experience events rather than reading about them.

> History: When Travis was young, his parents constantly belittled him and expected more of him than he was capable of doing, and suffered for it. While in Hogwarts, he abhorred violence and felt the best way to protect himself was to become the most well-trained in physical combat. During his summer breaks, while living with his Aunt and Uncle, he was taught physical defense. When he turned 16 his Aunt and Uncle became the legal guardians of his younger Brother and Sister. This was because his Parents pledged their lives to the Dark Lord, Voldemort and had abandoned their children.

During the First Wizarding war, His parents had become Death Eaters around 1970. They served with Voldemort until 1980, when in a fit of rage to escape his captors, Travis killed both of his parents and 2 other death eaters using Dark magic. He never returned to his normal self after this occurred. His younger brother and sister were very young at the time. He kept his identity hidden and asked his Aunt and Uncle to keep them safe and protected until the time came for him to reveal himself. Now as students themselves and well into their 4th year, and with Frost keeping a more public eye this year, they will undoubtedly discover his true identity, as their older brother.

Ambitions and Goals His ambition, is to become something of what he was before. Without his anger. Without his pain. He wants to live life freely, without nightmares and without seeing the images of the people whose lives he was forced to take.

Extras: Is a pure blood, like his Brother and Sister.

Julien, The Persistent Prefect

Age – Appears 16

Year - 6th (when he died in 1792)

Julien doesn't glide, he strides about the castle with purpose (only the occasionally drifting). His posture is rigid and hair and robes are always straightened immaculately, the only crease to be found anywhere on this spectre if the frown perpetually on his brow. Unlike the picture his robes would be a bit more dated, longer hems and more embroidered.

In may ways Julien is the polar opposite of Peeves. An immortal spirit hell bent on spending the rest of eternity telling pupils to pick up after themselves, tuck-in shirts and stamping out any sign of mischief in the castle. He is immensely proud of his work and, as in life, he take his role as a prefect extremely seriously. Regarding himself as essentially holding the authority of a teacher.

Ironically he is almost as big of a headache to the staff and students as Peeves himself. Julien bombards the teachers with constant updates and reports on potential trouble-makers as well as frequent suggestions on how to run things. He considers himself to be in charge of the living prefects and has difficulty when they don't seem to show his own single-minded dedication to the role. Predictably he himself is the frequent target of pranks over the centuries...
There was often speculation as to whether Julien had deliberately set out to become the least liked student possible. It was easier to believe this was some strange joke on his part than accept that someone was actually that much of a rules stickler, snitch and teacher's pet. The news and general misery at his appointment as prefect was however mitigated by the commencement of the Tri-Wizard tournament of 1792.

When panic ran through the castle about some 'cockatrice on the loose' Julien was of course the first on the scene to stop this silly joke. The usual student miscreants pleaded with him not to do into the great-hall - they gave a jolly-good performance too, Julien almost could of believed there really was a cockatrice in there. But an experienced prefect like him knew a prank when he saw one and he had a duty to do.

As if to seal his legacy as the least popular student in the history of Hogwarts, his death marked the end of the Triwizard tournaments. The student body (and secretly the staff) were distraught to see him return to them as a ghost. But death could not stand in the way of a prefects responsibilities!
Ambitions and Goals
Aside from his unending goal to root and stop all mischief and his campaign to have Peeves permanently removed; Julien is determined to gain more respect from the staff. He longs to be recognised as an official member of staff and to have the proper authority to command the living prefects.

Year: 5th year

Wand - He has a Dogwood wand with a Unicorn Hair core. It is roughly 11 inches and stands straight, with a semi-flat bottom.

House: Slytherin, like his Father before him.

Lucas stands at just under 6 feet tall. He wears a ring around his neck like his sister, also given to him by his older brother. The ring is now large enough for him to wear, but he feels like he should wait until he meets his brother again. He wears quite a few necklaces and likes to wear wrist bands that his sister designs.

Likes: Snakes, Dungeons and Pheonix's.

Dislikes: Being told what to do. Bullies. Pain.

Positive traits: He is very protective of his Sister. Is very curious about his surroundings. He likes most animals and likes to know a lot about them.

Negative traits: Can be rude, and very to the point. Thinks of himself as all-knowing. Immature and childish.

Quirks: Has a good sense of humor, however typically turns them into practical jokes. Has house pride, typically only hangs out with other Slytherins. Thinks that he could someday be a great wizard.

Fears: Death. Being disliked. Spiders.

Personality - Lucas is extremely outgoing. His smile is contagious and he can be very sweet. He can be very immature at times and makes jokes at the wrong time. Some of his jokes can be considered offensive.

History: Lucas was born 14 years after his older brother. His parents almost immediately gave him and his twin sister to their Aunt and Uncle, likely the only good thing they did for their children. Lucas grew up hearing about the evil things his father did, but never really believed them. He dreamed that his Father was a good wizard and died a good man.

He has no idea who his older brother is. He has spent his life believing his older brother is a hero and that he is a powerful wizard working far away to save the world. When he was made into a Slytherin, he was excited. He knew that his Father was once a Slytherin and that he was continuing the family legacy.

Ambitions and Goals - He wants to be the top of his class, and become one of the most powerful wizards ever to live.

Extras: He is a pure blood. He is well talented in transfiguration and seems to be drawn to potion making.

Classes - Transfiguration, Charms, Potions, History of Magic, Defense Against the Dark Arts, Astronomy, Herbology and Flying. He has also picked up Study of Ancient Runes, and Care of Magical Creatures.

Samantha stands at 5ft 9. She likes dark clothing to highlight her white hair. She has slightly long fingernails with her own paintings on them. Her hair is just below shoulder length. She has a scar that runs up her pinky, and always wears a ring on a chain around her neck, given to her by her brother. She likes to wear rings and has both ears pierced, typically with small chandeliers on.

Likes: Darkness, Learning and history.

Dislikes: People who are rude, Liars and people who are full of themselves.

Positive traits: Very outgoing. Likes meeting new people. Has a big heart.

Negative traits: Is sometimes too trusting of people. Sometimes draws in class rather than paying attention. Focuses too much on one class over another.

Quirks: Is quite a good artist. Has a contagious smile like her brothers. Sometimes participates in her brothers pranks, but only when she deems they won't hurt anyone.

Fears: Large crowds. Growing up to be nothing. Snakes.

Personality: Sam is quite the natural when it comes to spell casting. She seems to be very attached to her wand and enjoys casting spells, no matter how small. She is kind and sweet, and is typically well liked.

History: Samantha was born 2 minutes before her twin brother, Lucas. She faintly remembers her older brother. She knows he was kind and protective. She also knows that what has been said about her parents are true. She hates her parents and what they did to their family. She thinks of her Aunt and Uncle as her real parents, and treats their child like her own sibling. She has had a very good childhood, growing up after the Wizarding war.

She has a suspicion that Travis, one of the Professors at Hogwarts is her Brother. He has been hiding it well but the more and more she see's, it seems more clear. She hates that he appears so broken, likely caused by her own parents. She hopes that one day Travis will reveal his true identity and let her back into his life.

Ambitions and Goals: Sam wants to be an artist after she leaves school. She has been learning more and more about art. She also hopes to become a great witch and help heal people.

Extras: She, of course, is a pure blood. She prefers to go by Sam, and her twin brother calls her Samantha, she believes, simply to irritate her.

Classes - Transfiguration, Charms, Potions, History of Magic, Defense Against the Dark Arts, Astronomy and Herbology. She has dropped Flying and taken Divination and Muggle Studies.

    Personality: Eun-Jin is known as a happy and lovable person, who likes meeting new people and getting to know them and eventually become friends, she has the mindset that everyone is a future friend so she would try to get to know everyone around Hogwarts and helped them become comfortable there.

    She is a hardworking girl who gives her best effort in everything that she does and would not give up until she accomplished her objectives but she is also a naive girl that could be tricked into doing someone else works just because she had this nature of helping others.

    Eun-jin is also known for her kind personality she would be the first one to jump if someone is feeling sad or discouraged, she is a good listener and also would help that person overcome their problems by giving them advice or just support them.

    Bio:The beginning of the Kim family started when Kim Seung-Eun a wizard who was interested in herbology who wanted to travel around the world discovering new plants and their properties.

    And he would never regret that decision because that took him to France and if it wasn't for that he would have never been able to meet Kung Eunbi a veela that was just starting as a healer and was interested in Seung-Eun research, he wasn't sure if it was because she was a veela or her charming personality but since he saw her the first time he knew she was the one.

    Seung-Eun and Eunbi got married and not long after that, they brought into the world their first and only child a small and lovely girl who received the name of Eun-Jin.

    Eun-Jin grew up in a loving family where she was passed on the love for herbology of her father and her desire to become a healer just like her mother. When the time came she decided to attend Hogwarts since it was the closest school to her family even if her mother at some point wanted her to attend Beuxbatons like she did

    The day when Eun-Jin received her letter was the happiest day of her life, she couldn't be more excited about being able to go to the same school as her father and being able to learn all this wonderful and exciting things.

    Before she entered her father told her about the different houses and how he was in Hufflepuff, but wouldn't get mad at her if she ended in a completely different house although Eun-Jin was hoping she would end in the same house as her father and live the same adventures that he did back when he was a student.

    When she got selected into Hufflepuff she couldn't be prouder of being selected on the same house as her father.

    The time passed and Eun-Jin found her love for potions and care of magical creatures, stating that her dream of helping others as a healer could become true. She became part of the school newspaper in her first year to her becoming the president in charge of the newspaper.

She also is very wary of strangers and is known to be a tough nut to crack when it comes to being trustful. Essentially, unless someone is close to her, she'll push them away. Occasionally she can be quite deceitful to get what she wants despite the feelings of those around her. She can also be quite shy when it comes to being in front of crowds.

She is furiously loyal to those she trusts and will standby them, even if they are in the wrong. She is also very cunning in intelligence and knows exactly how to appease her professors in order to receive good grades. Although she tends to keep this to herself, Ella is a hopeless romantic and strives to find her ''soulmate'' and likes to read romance novella in her spare time when nobody is around.

Ella Grey was born on the 31st of December during an intense snowstorm in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA. Her parents were both magical and thus raised her in a household full of magic. Her mother was born and raised in Utah while her father was from England and had a British accent that rubbed off on Ella a bit. After she was born, her parents loved parenthood so much that they tried to conceive for another child but unfortunately could not. With that, they decided to focus all their love and attention on their daughter.

Ella grew up living to muggle neighbours who weren’t allowed to know about magic. This was a hard kept secret as Ella had become friends with their neighbours daughter, Katelyn. Her and Katelyn became close immediately and would play almost every day together. Her favourite memory of her friendship with Katelyn was when they were 7 years old playing outside in the forest behind their houses. The two had been planning to build a treehouse and finally had all the materials to do so. However, they overestimated their abilities and Ella had to go and ask her father to help them. After a couple of hard work, their treehouse was complete.

She and Katelyn spent many summer days hanging out in the treehouse, listening to music and just talking. They even created an intricate secret handshake. Unfortunately after one afternoon, a couple of neighbourhood boys chased them up the tree and because Katelyn wasn’t paying attention, she fell out of the tree and broke her arm. After the incident, Katelyn’s parents told Ella’s parents that Ella was no longer allowed to hang out with Katelyn. When Ella found this out, she had a magic outburst and broke her mother’s vase. This burst of magic caused mixed reactions from her parents. Her father was upset that Ella had broken her mother's vase, but her mother was absolutely excited that her daughter had magic. Despite being told they couldn’t see each other anymore, she and Katelyn would sneak outside every night and meet up in their treehouse. It was in the treehouse that Ella told Katelyn that she was a witch and that Katelyn couldn’t tell anyone, not even her mom. Katelyn swore secrecy with their secret handshake and the two became closer than ever.

As Ella grew up, she always had interests in music. She would sing and dance along to the radio that played in her parents' house and when she was 6 years old, her parents bought her a ukulele to practice on. From that day on, Ella practiced playing on her ukulele, singing and playing to different songs. Her and Katelyn promised each other that when they were older, they would start their own band together as Katelyn could play the piano. When Ella was 9 years old, she brought home a garter snake whom she swore was named “Nelson” and could speak to her. When her parents asked how he could speak to her, Ella demonstrated and began to speak in Parseltongue. While her parents were happy, they were confused as they hadn’t known anyone from either family that had the ability. However, they shrugged it off and told Ella that she couldn’t keep the snake as it belonged in the wild. When her parents first told Ella that she was a Parselmouth, she was immediately bewildered and scared that she was too different. After that, her parents had her meet with a family friend who also could speak Parseltongue. Ella would spend every Friday afternoon practicing her Parseltongue with him as he would bring in various snakes and would also teach her how to hide it in front of others. When Ella finally perfected this after around 4 months, her meetings with the family friend came to an end, but she still kept his contact info in case she needed help with anything. Having the family friend help her with her ability really helped her with her confidence and helped her understand that she wasn’t the only one with the ability. Ella enjoyed being able to speak Parseltongue as she was quite interested in snakes and she begged her parents to buy her a snake but they told her it was too expensive and she could just find snakes outdoors to speak to.

When she was 10 years old, a really bad snowstorm happened while her parents were driving home from work. Ella waited patiently at the door for them to come home but they never did. The snowstorm had caused them to be in a really bad car crash and unfortunately, they both passed. When her aunt from Britain came home instead of her parents, she sank into grief. All that she had left from her parents were their wedding rings in which she put on a silver chain on her neck. She wouldn’t speak for days on end until her aunt told Ella that she would be moving to England with her. Ella protested against it as her best friend was still in America but her aunt would have none of it. Because of this, Ella and her aunt had a fractured relationship for the first couple of months living together. Despite moving across the world, Ella and Katelyn still keep in touch to this day. In England, her aunt tried to help Ella with her grief but nothing would work until her aunt suggested she play her ukulele again. She was initially reluctant, but after a few days, Ella picked it up and turned her grief into written songs and music. Although she misses her parents terribly, Ella has gotten better with coping.

On Ella’s 11th birthday, she received her Hogwarts’ letter! Her aunt was absolutely ecstatic and threw a little party for the two of them. Ella appreciated this greatly however she couldn’t help but wish that her parents were with them too. After her little party, she called up Katelyn and told her the news, in which Katelyn squealed in response. The next day, her aunt took her out and bought her a black cat in which Ella named Merlin. After this, Ella and her aunt had a better relationship and have become much closer.

She doesn't wear makeup, except for during concerts/performances and her clothing choice is often more for comfort than appearance. Personality:
Kayla is an affectionate sort of person. Gentle, caring, compassionate, she has a habit of feeding/taking in strays that she sees. To a friend, she'd be the first to offer a shoulder to cry on. Even if they weren't a friend she'd probably still do the same. She can't ignore the suffering in front of her eyes. According to her father, she'd been that way ever since she was born. She'd cry when others cried. Didn't react well with when exposed to negative emotions. As she grew older, her reactions tempered, but her sensitivity to her surroundings remain. Kayla is happy when others are happy and therefore enjoys contributing to the happiness and well-being of others.

Kayla doesn't live in her head. She likes to get things done. To create things. She appreciates the beauty of the physical world with her five senses and wants to contribute to it. She has a strong aesthetic sense and finds comfort in natural surroundings. The smell of grass. The sight vivid blue skies. Staying indoors for a long amount of time doesn't suit her and she'll easily grow bored or sad when forced to do. She supplements this by keeping a plant in her room to keep her focused when she's studying. Listening to music helps as well, especially sounds from nature.

Kayla doesn't want to control others nor does she like to be controlled. She has a strong set of core values and feels uncomfortable making decisions solely based on logic. She's a sensitive person and feelings are always taken into consideration when she decides something. Both hers and other people involved. The problem occurs when these feelings clash. Kayla can easily become indecisive, has a hard time picking between friends, and may walk away from a fight if it becomes too emotional (not because it's the smart thing to do but because she doesn't like tension). However, deep down is a strong resolve and stubborness that lets her walk her own path regardless of what anyone says. Her years at Hogwarts have honed her ability to deal with confrontation, though she still prefers to avoid it.

Kayla isn't shy, but she'd difficult to get to know because she is reserved and doesn't like to express herself unless it's to the people she's close to. She's polite enough when dealing with others. Will always offer a helping hand when she sees someone needs it. However, she rarely ever asks for help herself. Kayla is independent, likes doing things on her own, and as a result has harder time making friends (with humans) despite her kind disposition. The bright side is that she doesn't make very many enemies either. Being sorted into Hufflepuff, surrounded by the warm caring nature, then joining the frog choir, has helped her learn to express herself more (at least through her singing), but it's still rare that she opens up with her problems as she doesn't like burdening others.

History:

Kayla was born in the wizarding community to a pureblood father and a muggle mother. Her father, Gideon Bristlewood, traveled around a lot as a magizoologist and met his mother on one of his trips to the U.S. where they fell in love and married. Gideon inherited the Magical Menagerie from his grandmother and the couple moved to Diagon Alley to settle and start a family.The first few years were wonderful. However, as time passed, Helen Bristlewood would have a hard time adjusting to the new environment. She missed the gadgets that made life easier. She couldn't use magic like those around her. She felt constantly judged by those who could do things she couldn't. Helpless to deal with magical situations as they arise without the help her husband. And, as much as she tried not to, she took out her frustrations on her spouse.

Eventually, when Kayla was four, the two realized they were both making each other (and Kayla) miserable by living together and divorced.

Since then, Kayla lived part of her life with her father in the wizarding world and part of her life with her mother in the muggle one. She was the link between her two parents. Fortunately, they separated on amiable terms and never forced her to choose between them. Her mother still contacts her father when magical accidents happened and both were still invested in her care. Kayla held hope that they would eventually get back together for her sake. That hope died when her mother remarried. Kayla couldn't fault the muggle for making her mother happy. She even rather liked her new stepfather. However, she ended up spending more time living with her biological father in the wizarding world out of consideration for the newlywed couple.

Then her Hogwarts letter came.

Attending Britain's school for witches and wizards, she was sorted into Hufflepuff, though the hat considered Ravenclaw as a possibility. Encouraged by Professor Flitwick when her natural singing and musical talents were discovered, she joined the frog choir in her 2nd year and have been close friends with its members ever since. It was there, in the choir, that Kayla developed her voice. In her 4th year she became the lead singer, a position she's remained in ever since. Melodic and powerful, her voice draws ears, even without magic, and caught the attention of the 5th year Slytherin beater who she would eventually date. Music soothes the savage beast, after all. Kayla enjoys it as well and likes making others happy with the music she produces. Her plans were to travel both the magical and muggle as singer+harpist so she didn't put too much stock into her studies until her 5th year when her boyfriend became afflicted by an unknown, "unbreakable" curse (after touching a dark artifact) that took away his eyesight. His ability to play quidditch as well. The once proud and arrogant Slytherin hadn't been the same again. Her desire to help him prompted her to look into Cursebreaking and, with the help of Bill Weasley, she managed to pass the OWLs that made her eligible for the NEWT level classes required to become a Cursebreaker. Her shared interest with the Gryffindor Head Boy made them fast friends and caused a rocky relationship with her boyfriend who was jealous and considered Bill a rival (both in quidditch and love).

The couple broke up after her boyfriend graduated, but Kayla still loves him and is determined to help him fly again regardless.

Ambitions/Goals:
To become a Cursebreaker and break the curse that afflicted her EX-boyfriend, whom she still cares for. She also intends to recruit new members for the frog choir and practice with the younger members while she can. She hopes to eventually travel the world making music to her hearts content.

  • She's actually closer to Professor Flitwick than her head of house, though Professor Sprout is a close second.

  • She is a skilled singer and harpist, capable of wandlessly infusing her instruments with magic as she plays, and has a mild interest in the development of magical instruments.
  • She discovered in her 4th year that one of her distant ancestors was a Siren, so she has a bit of Siren blood in her, but Kayla swears she's only an average swimmer and her voice doesn't have the hypnotic effect as in the legends.
  • Her patronus, which was a blue butterfly, changed into a bat.
  • Her familiar is a pet frog named Bart and she's good friends with a boy named Barty whom she tutored during the summer of her 5th year.

WAND pine wood with a unicorn hair core. it is approximately 12 inches in length and has a quite bendy flexibility. it looks something like this.
HOUSE slytherin.

HAIR naturally curly and fluffy, it is hard to miss culloden's bouncing head of brunette curls. the actual color of his hair is closer to an auburn shade, as it holds deep red undertones in the warm brown. it is typically unruly but he does his best to control it.
EYES culloden's eyes are an extremely dark brown color, like that of dark chocolate or coffee grounds. it is broken up by a swirling mix of gold like caramel but it does little to lighten the overall darkness of his eyes. when they are hit by the sun, it is especially easy to see the golden tones.
HEIGHT approximately 5 feet 11 inches.
WEIGHT roughly 150 pounds.
SCARS he has a noticeable scar on the underside of his right arm which travels from the middle of his forearm up to his shoulder. he has a lesser noticeable scar along his right hip from the same accident that gave him his arm's scar.
ATTIRE when culloden isn't spending time in the hogwarts robes or his quidditch uniform, he is a fan of jumpers and shirts with long sleeves, preferring to keep his arms hidden. on the occasion, he will push up the sleeves to his elbows, but anything higher and he will feel uncomfortable. culloden has a typical fashion sense for a muggle teenager, much to his parent's disdain. some of his outfits look something like this, this, or this.

VIRTUES adaptable ⇨ culloden is no stranger to sudden change and he finds that he can work very well with plans being changed on him. he is good at hiding his surprise or any distress he might have at such a change, which makes him come off as much cooler than he is. culloden has become an excellent liar thanks to this ability and it makes it easier than ever for him to put on a blank facade.

calm ⇨ the constant calm that culloden seems to carry around with him is both a pro and a con to himself. he is very capable of diffusing tense situations thanks to his more calming nature, but he can often come off as self-righteous to those who are observing his calm from a distance. some of his excellent calm qualities are a show put on to gain respect from his peers and staff.

charming ⇨ to get into slytherin, a student must have some sort of cunning trait within them. for culloden, it comes with his effortless charm that he is able to turn on and off without a hitch. he is known for being able to charm himself out of any sticky situations he might find himself in, though this is rare since he is more likely to be in the good graces of most staff at hogwarts.

popular ⇨ all things considered, culloden has become one of the top dogs thanks to his status, likable demeanor, and the herds of fawning girls surrounding him. he is a well-known student around school and he stands with the big boys from slytherin. however, this popularity finds him unable to escape the limelight and pressured even more to live up to the buchanan legacy.
VICES airy ⇨ culloden puts on a defensive front by acting as if nothing is a big deal to him. at this point, most of the staff at hogwarts are merely exasperated by his lack of seriousness, but it begins to pose a bigger threat as culloden's future begins to come into question. he typically uses this airy nature in order to help calm down his agitated friends or other tough interactions.

deceitful ⇨ in typical slytherin fashion, culloden isn't a huge fan of telling the truth. in fact, most of what comes out his mouth lies. he struggles with admitting the truth to many things and he fears the intimacy of true friendship, so culloden often manipulates people in order to keep them away from his personal life. culloden will try anything in order to get out of doing something, which often involves betrayal and throwing people under the bus in order to succeed in doing.

egocentric ⇨ culloden has very self-centerd thoughts that hardly take into consideration the consequences his actions have on other people. he considers his own being to be very important and he does things for himself instead of others, a selfish streak that is prominent in many, if not all, renowned pureblood households. much of the popularity he has received since attending hogwarts has gone to his head.

private ⇨ thanks to his grim home life, culloden is desperate to keep any genuine feelings out of his persona while at school. he bottles up many of his emotions until a time when he can let them out in seclusion and away from prying eyes. however, he is known to become a little more aggressive when there's no private time to unleash his emotions available. the most common way he lets out his feelings is through playing quidditch.
LIKES fresh snow, tart candies, foggy windows, the whomping willow, the enchanted ceiling in the great hall, trimmed fingernails, good hair days (doesn't everyone?), mrs. norris.
DISLIKES noisy students, being exposed for any reason, rainy quidditch matches, studying in any form, having a lot of responsibilities, getting letters from his parents, butterbeer.
QUIRKS he is a large fan of twirling his wand in his hand, his posture should be excellent but he lets himself slouch in leisure time, he arrives late to every class as if he is on his own schedule, he can and will put his feet on the desk thank you very much, he does better studying outside than indoors, he will use magic simply for its convenience.
FEARS minor concerns to him would include receiving a howler and getting detention, but his only real fear would be the giant squid in the black lake and very specifically being drowned by it. he could consider drowning as another quite strong fear of his.

HISTORY the buchanan household originated in scotland, where they were most well known as one of the clans to support the bonny king stewart during scotland's rebellions against the british crown. fearing that the battle wouldn't fall in their favor, the magical members of the buchanan clan went into hiding in the wizarding world, beginning a business of selling house elves to major households in the wizarding worlds, like the black's or the malfoy's.

when the terror of voldemort began to emerge in the wizarding world, the buchanan's feared they were in danger once more, so instead of siding with the underdogs all those centuries ago, they took on roles as death eaters for voldemort, willing to do his business as long as they were kept safe from his tyranny. when he was mysteriously defeated, many of the buchanan's were imprisoned in azkaban. luckily, culloden's family escaped the worst punishments.

that is culloden's heritage and the family he comes from. through the years, the buchanan family has become quite chummy with the malfoy family, where they often do business together. in fact, the malfoy's house-elf, dobby, came from the buchanan's. thanks to this business, culloden has known a particular draco malfoy his whole life, though he wouldn't consider the younger boy his friend by any means. it was more of a "my dad works with your dad so we have to hang out sometimes i guess" relationship.

culloden was born during one of the harshest winters that their region of the wizarding world had experienced in years. in fact, the weather was so treacherous that he and his mother were kept from going home after his birth for nearly three weeks until the weather was deemed safe for tiny infant culloden to venture out into. from the moments after he was born, it became clear that culloden was a daddy's boy. although he loves his mother very much, her fretful and often vain attempts at fostering a bond with him always fell through. he had much more in common with his father, right alongside the fact that culloden is the spitting image of his dad.

when culloden was eight years old, his father began to teach him how to ride a broom. culloden had begun to show a deep interest in quidditch, and his father had been one of the best keepers that slytherin had ever seen, so he was naturally delighted to find his only child following in his footsteps. although things seemed to be going well, culloden was still much too young to control a broom and he ended up crashing, injuring himself and leaving him with deep scars on his arm and hip. he didn't touch a broom again until he was eleven, shortly before he was expected to attend hogwarts for his first year.

it was expected that culloden would be sorted into slytherin thanks to the long line of slytherins in his family. although voldemort had long been thought dead, many families who were in allegiance with the dark lord were under tight surveillance at hogwarts, including culloden. those who had come from dark families banded together, since many of them already knew of each other through family notoriety or business partners.

despite his hesitancy over flying again, culloden was a natural on a broom and when he returned to hogwarts for his second year, he tried out for the slytherin quidditch team and became a beater. he continues to play quidditch for slytherin as one of the two beaters. culloden quickly found that quidditch was a way for him to escape from the real world and he could use his strength as a beater to vent his emotions out on the field. ever since he joined the quidditch team in his second year, culloden has come back year after year to play for his house.

within the past year or two, culloden has begun to attending dueling club meetings and last year he officially became a member of the club. through participating in dueling club, culloden has vastly improved on his casting, becoming quite talented in varying offensive and defensive charms. he has recently begun to learn about counter-spells, however, he has been unable to successfully perform one yet. dueling club has ignited a small interest in a career as an auror despite his family's background.

RELATIONS aleck buchanan ⇨ culloden's father. his bond with his father was close, but they began to drift apart when their relationship turned into culloden being groomed to take over the family business rather than their bond as father and son. he looks like this.

elsbeth buchanan ⇨ culloden's mother. similarities between culloden and his mother are few and far between. as a woman of business and particularly harsher than his father, it was hard for young, soft, warm culloden to form a close bond with his mother. although they both tried, by the time culloden was off to hogwarts they had both given up. she looks like this.
AMBITIONS AND GOALS culloden is remarkably empty of dreams and goals for his age, most likely thanks to the pressure and expectation that he would simply take over the family business. the only thing culloden has ever seen himself doing for a long time is playing quidditch, which he dreams of doing professionally.

James is a typical overachiever, pushing himself to be the best as soon as he arrived at Hogwarts. History:

James grew up in a typical pure blood wizarding home, however they were firmly neutral during the war. It was this neutrality that kept James and his siblings safe during the war. He grew and watched his older siblings head to Hogwarts, with them both writing home to say they were sorted into Ravenclaw. It made James declare that he would be a Ravenclaw too much to his parents amusement. The day then came for him to board the Hogwarts express. Full of childish joy he made sure everything was packed three times the day before he was due to leave. It was when they arrived at the station that he hugged his mother, telling her he was always her little boy when he noticed how upset she was.

Making it to the great hall, he took his seat and closed his eyes hoping to hear it, when the hat shouted he would join Ravenclaw. Delighted he sat with the other first year Ravenclaws. He quickly established himself as an excellent student and a popular one among the first years because of his charming personality. He moved quickly through his time in Hogwarts. Joining the Quidditch team in 2nd year in a Chaser position. In his 5th year he flew through his OWLs easily, having his pick of classes for 6th and 7th year. Making prefect and then Team captain in 6th year, James was the typical popular guy in school.

He chose his classes to become an Auror which scared his mother half to death. Despite his families neutrality he knew they hated the war and firmly were against the pure blood extremists. James would not be turned from this and took the classes, working overtime so that when the time came he would be drafted into the aurors to take up the fight. However it was on the Halloween of his 6th year that the news of Voldemorts death spread like wildfire. Like waking from a long suffering nightmare the wizarding world rejoiced and celebrated, with the castle having an impromptu feast to celebrate, with Dumbledores notable absence.

His future now wide open, James has to start deciding if he wants to continue to be an auror, and deal with a new issue. A crush he has on one of his class mates, one of the boys....

History:

Zander grew up in America with his mother until she passed away when he was 9. He was a child full of life and love with his mother and kindness. When she passed they sent him to live with his father who he had never met. His father crushed his joyful spirit. His father is part of a strong pureblood family. His father never acknowledged him because he was a drunken mistake he had with a muggle once. Zander's family has pureblood sentiments and Zander is the blemish in that since he's a half-blood. His father only sees him as a mistake. Zander is the black sheep of the family. When Zander was shipped off to live with his father in England. He wanted nothing more to please and prove himself to his father who sees him as a mistake. All Zander wants is his father's approval in his life.

When he got sorted into Gryffindor his father saw it as the ultimate betrayal since their family has been in nothing but Slytherin for years. He suffers from insomnia and spends most nights playing the piano in the common room and his emotions are shown through his music. He is very shy about performing his music in front of others. He developed stage fright and does not perform in front of others. He practices at night so no one will hear him. He doesn't have many close friends at Hogwarts mostly keeping to himself. He spends time with his cousin Brielle but other than that he is more of a lone wolf.


Ambitions/Goals:
On the outside it is to please his father but deep down he has a passion of music that his father greatly disapproves of. He also would like to work with magical creatures in the future.

Erika is best described as a vivacious and direct woman, she isn’t one to shy away from confrontation or to back away from a given task. She can be the life of the party as much as she can be the girl passed out in the courtyard grass, having decided to take a quick nap. > History -
Erika was born in Hungary to a Veela mother and an unknown father. Erika had never known her father but had after a few years moved with her mother into Eastern Berlin around the age of 12. Before this time Erika had spent a majority of her time around other Veela when not attending school at Beauxbatons. Around the age of 8 a new person had entered her life, a british wizard named Bishop Holendorf. While initially not taking to the man she quickly warmed up to him after realizing that her mother wasn’t going to be changing her mind. Over the years the two bonded rather closely, their obvious disagreements with the world shared.

Her norm was shattered however when she turned 13. A night raid by Stasi operatives had left her mother dead following her mother defending herself and Erika panicking, their veela forms having shifted into their harpy forms, Erika out of pure terror and emotional turmoil and her mother in defense. In the resulting chaos Bishop was able to pull a now back to normal Erika out and away from the situation, escaping through a nearby port key. The incident had left a sharp imprint on Erika’s mind, having tied muggles directly to her mother’s death knowing someone must have said something to have caused the incident to spark in the first place.

After several days the two arrived in England, at a home that Bishop had owned but had not lived in for several years now. With her life at Beauxbatons upended she had to be transferred into the curriculum at Hogwarts. Once situated and the new school year began Erika found herself heading to Hogwarts. In the years since she has found herself rather ingrained in the school, enjoying the atmosphere more than she did at Beauxbatons. Though she has found that drama was easy to come by, with some girls finding her obnoxious or even jealous over the fact that many boys would interact with her more than others. Despite this she has found the time enjoyable.

Erika has a strong mental pull towards care for magical creatures as well as being a healer. She is always striving for the next bit of juicy information, though not the kind tied to drama. She is always looking out for anything she can learn that happens to be new, weird or especially forbidden. The girl has an insatiable need to know and that alone drives her.

personality:
jade portrays herself as very cold, sarcastic, and angry. she is fiercely independent and refuses to rely on anyone for help. however, despite her cold front there is nothing jade wants more than to make friends. jade is very insecure from years of emotional abuse from her father, afraid that she'll prove him right by failing or even worse, turning to the dark arts. everything she does is motivated by the desire to prove him wrong, to be better than her brother and reclaim their powerful family name. this causes her to be a perfectionist, and she is much too hard on herself over even the littlest things. she is very driven by her need to impress her father, when she sets her mind to something she does it no matter how hard she has to work for it.

this also makes her quit stubborn, she has become so self reliant that she refuses help from anyone else. while she doesn't have many friends, jade is very protective of the few people she cares about and is loyal to no end, she is especially defensive of her mother's reputation. she has gotten into many fights over other kids taunting her with her mother's past.

sterling is by far the more confident of the lancaster siblings, having been deemed the "golden child" by their father. he is very charming and easily well-liked, he has many friends in and out of gryffindor and seems to win over everyone he meets. despite the hardships his seen, he is quick-witted and always cracking jokes to make people smile. however, sterling has made a few enemies with his quick temper and stubborn disposition. he tries his best to make everyone else happy because he can't seem to make his family happy.


after years of looking after his younger sister, sterling has come to be extremely protective and even a little controlling of her. he believes he always knows what's best for both of them, no matter how much jade fights him on it. killian raised him to always be the best, meaning he is extremely competitive and doesn't handle failure well.

sterling's parents met in the most ironic way considering their fate. after graduating durmstrang with honors, killian lancaster followed in his own father's footsteps to become an auror. while on a case in london, he met the beautiful adela vasiliev working in magical law enforcement for the ministry of magic. the two were married rather quickly, adela giving birth to sterling then jade only a short year after. he remembers that they were once a happy family, but he tries to avoid thinking about his mother at all costs. sterling was almost seven when his mother lost the baby, suddenly becoming the caretaker of his little sister as his parents both descended into madness and despair, leaving the siblings to fend for themselves.


while he didn't fully understand the situation, he knew his mother had abandoned them, that she didn't love them enough to stay. with the shame adela had brought to their family, killian committed himself to training his son to revive their family name. sterling never understood why it had to be him, why he couldn't train both of his children. Their father overworked Xander, preparing him for Hogwarts well before he needed too, and feeling bad for his neglected sister he spent any free time teaching her everything he had learned. little sterling didn't approve of this way his father dismissed jade, but there was nothing he could do so he became the parent she needed, all of the pressure from his father and his sudden responsibilities maturing him far past other kids.


by the time the young boy finally went to the school of witchcraft and wizardry he excelled in all of his courses and thoroughly impressed all of his professors. growing up and being told he was his family's savior went right to his ego, making him sometimes overly confident with a tendency to think he always knows what's best. while Jade fiercely clung to her memory, sterling resented his mother for leaving them and for forcing so much pressure on him to be the family's savior. killian had taught his son to think the same way he did, that adela was a traitor and a coward for abandoning her family and that her name should never be spoken, and he could never understand why jade wanted to remember her so desperately. slytherin had been their mother's house, and seeing his little sister following in her footsteps frightened him. he had spent his whole young life protecting her, he couldn't lose her the same way they lost their mother. sterling tried to control her, demanding that she let go of their mother's memory and become her own person, become more like him. jade had been infuriated and refused his help, how could he ask her to forget their own mother?, and their relationship had never been the same since. sterling began to understand why their father had placed faith in him, jade was too much like their mother.


when his little sister began to out perform him in certain studies it bruised his ego, he assumed she was only doing it to prove she was better than him. when she began lashing out at school he truly began to worry that perhaps she was too much like their mother, that perhaps she was treading down a dark path. they have yet to truly makeup and their relationship is rather tumultuous, though he vowed to always protect her no matter what.

Elizabeth "Eli" Francis looks quite a snobby person. She's always seen quite like she wants to just sit down and think of her existence in the world. On times she is often seen with her hair up in a neatly done ponytail and her robe nowhere to be seen. Elizabeth looks quite normal with the exception of looking mature than her age. She is older than most of her peers. She likes to click her tongue when talking to people and giving a thumbs-up or down when someone asks her a "yes or no" question. Often times, she is always rebuked for clicking her tongue in an unladylike manner.

Even in her childhood, Elizabeth is bad-tempered and often compared to her father who has a temper of a dragon. She cares deeply for her family. She's always the first who says something where there is an awkward moment which she thinks is a good thing. When she meets people for the first time, she doesn't talk too much which is shyness but when the awkwardness of meeting someone new is over, then that's where she stops holding her bluntness. But past those things, Elizabeth is often seen as a mischievous child. She also possessed an energetic and mischievous personality and often cares for rules and decorum. She enjoyed teasing others to the point that sometimes her words can cut deeper than what she meant to. For the most part, Elizabeth is just a go-with-the-flow kind of person.

History

Elizabeth was born in the Philippines with a Filipino father whose weapon will always be a slipper and a mother who came from Europe. When her parents are there, you could never accuse Elizabeth "Eli" Francis of not being polite; her father assured herself of that. The wrath of that particular father was to be feared, especially when hefting a slipper or a leather belt. The creative torture he could induce was to be feared and avoided at all costs, so she learned early that speaking politely should be used in almost every situation.

Of course, expectations could be made.

And for someone who's big on rules, she sure loves breaking the hell out of them.

Elizabeth wasn't emotionally invested in "He-who-shall-not-be-named" or "You-know-who" the way the locals were. Whenever the conversation talks about him, Elizabeth tended to stay quiet not knowing what it felt like to be in times of war and in the hands of a Madman like the locals are. The idea of a madman running around but then died from an infant was still a foreign concept to her. Her experience upon seeing people cringe away when talking about "You-know-who" shows her the value of staying quiet.

Elizabeth was not a horrible person. Yes, she has a terrible temper and often acts like a "countrywoman" or "bumpkin" whatever English folks calls her, but she was not a horrible person. She wanted everyone to be aware of it. She was practical. Always, indefinitely, practical.
Ambitions and Goals

Elizabeth just wanted to be someone who is exceptional. In her mind, there is a quote in her head. "Grow big or be nothing." She either be someone who is exceptional or she is someone who will be nothing. Of course, her choice is quite easy to know. Her goal is to be someone who she can be proud of. Having no knowledge of another world that lurks on the side was quite a shock to her and her family. Magic. One word and it made Elizabeth's world go higher.
