1. I probably asked this in the wrong place, so I'll just repost it here:

Don't know why I didn't notice this before but...if we're going by slots/roles, does that mean abiding by the female/male demon/hunter is a requirement? Was planning on having my character be overall genderless.

As for my other questions...
2. Is it alright to assume that the demons in this RP are more or less the same as demons/youkai in folklore? I mean this in terms of powers and origins (e.g. sometimes being born from nature rather than a set of parents). Assuming they stay within the limit of not being too OP, of course.
3. Do the humans of this rp have any abilities other than just physical and technological prowess?
4. Sorry if I'm just missing something, but about how long ago was the demon war? Like the very start of it. Is it also right to assume that demon hunters came into prominence after the war?

ukiiyo I have a question as well. XD One which nano already asked regarding how long ago the war was exactly since it seems it's been long enough that the more recent generations only know of the current state.

Mine is more along the lines of the kingdom pairing since it seems mathematically speaking and what is currently on CS's, matching contracts by kingdom is going to leave a lot of people without a contract? Or at least my brain is interpreting the information in that way.

They are different from yokai or oni because it’s a completely different world and I prefer for them to be separate. There’s different types of demons and spirits if you will but they are lumped together as one race so technically you could have both. I personally would say that it would make far more sense for the demons to be born between parents or a parent because that would make more sense for the demon population to grow and shrink. So for character purposes, parents are required for demons.

No humans are just humans. They don’t have anything outside of what a normal human does.

The war was hundreds of years ago but demon hunters only started popping up not too long ago. Like 10 years ago max. Demons and humans coexisted peacefully for a long time but then humans started viewing demons as inferior and wrong so they pushed them out of society

Basically people will be applying for a kingdom as a human and demon. If there’s kingdoms that are empty or lack a partner, people will just have to consider changing the kingdom of their character. Everyone is competing for roles so I’m not going to make anyone not compete for the same kingdom. Hopefully that answered your question correctly! I’m kind of dumb rn lol

If the location is significant to the backstory, there's always the option that they were born and lived in kingdom A but recently traveled or moved to kingdom B. P much what I'm doing ;;;
