The DC should be on the order of 12-14, depending on your stat you use for casting.

I believe it'd be 12 from what I could tell? 8+2 proficiency+2 charisma is what you'd be saving against, after research, but I'm not 100% sure on this

I disagree. The description is of "thrust at", not "thrust through", and other orcs were also throwing weapons.

Well. If you thrust a javelin to throw it, it wont go as far as throwing it.

And yes, javelin is a thrown weapon. But not exclusively a thrown weapon. Ome of the benefits of javelins is that unlike the bow, they are a ranged weapon that can be used in close quarters. While not effective as a spear, they are still serviceable.

Dont worry about it, and your fine. There isn't anything wrong with popping your head into places, you aren't interrupting anything. As well, just because an rp isn't in an interest check, does not mean it isn't open. Asking around is a good way to introduce yourself and to see what's open.
