Rider
The Younger Rider cursed as a sudden snowstorm started to settle in. This must of been the work of the enemy Assassin's Noble Phantasm. What were they thinking? Using a Noble Phantasm in broad daylight? Cursing in her native language, the Younger Rider prepared herself. Even though the blizzard was in her way, she always knew where her sister was. Due to their status being the same servant, it allowed them to pin point their location no matter the distance. "Phan!" Without a split second of hesitation, the Younger Rider ran towards her sister's location. Even with her sister calling her an unfamiliar name, she understood that meaning behind it. Launching herself towards at the wall and transformed.

The sudden blizzard caught off guard for a split second, before she had to parry the damned levitating sword. What kind of person would be like, 'Yes, a levitating sword that'll fight for itself. An ingenious idea.' Though enough ranting, the Older Rider shifted off to the right in order to avoid being cut down and reached out to her right. In an instant a sword pierced through a walls and glass and she reached out to it. As if her hand was magnetic, the sword magically went into her grip. Again after dodging another slice, she parried the sword and threw her other swords towards the general direction where Vita was located. Saber was also there too, but they needed to take the risk. Saber didn't kill Vita the instant he got to her, so she was banking that Saber wouldn't interfere. The chances were low, but they had to do something, or else Vita would die.

While airborne, the sword transformed back into the Younger Rider. In another instant, when the Younger Rider was near Vita, she grabbed Vita's arm. The Younger Rider summoned her mount. In an instant, a giant light blue armored elephant would emerge out of the cafe. Several bullets bounced off, but some of them did hit the flesh of the newly summoned elephant. Now in a state of rage, it was now causing more damage than the enemy Saber and Assassin did combined. Now on the top of the elephant, with Vita with her, the Younger thought to herself. Escaping on the elephant was a bloody bad idea. Assassin, despite his class, would be able to slow her elephant down enough that Saber could finish her off. The primary objective was to get Vita out of this situation. So, she did the only thing that she thought she could. Carrying human that was twice her size, the Younger Rider jumped off the elephant. "Koki! Trample them!" With an objective in mind, the elephant started to destroy its surroundings in a blind rage. With that, Rider began to run as fast as she can.

The Older Rider rolled her eyes at her sister's careless display of destruction as she parried another strike. Seeing that there was no way to get out this either, the Older Rider summoned her elephant as well. Instead of having light blue armor, it had a golden orange. That being said, the elephant was now trying to stomp the sword into dust. At best, it'll immobilize it, at worst it'll 'distract' the levitating sword of death. With that, she turned incorporeal and started to leave the area.

“This…is surprising.”

Having finished look around the city of Venice for clues about what brought Assassin there (with little success), he heard from his uncle that the head of the Burial Agency had been the one to spread rumors of a secret grail war with world-ending stakes. That she was the one searching for those who bore white command seals.

He had been on his way to where he heard she was staying, after having gotten lost twice, when he encountered a bounded field. Curious, and not wanting to alert the creator of the field, he took his time to make a small opening in the field—deconstructing one layer of spell at a time.

Magecraft was highly complex. Truly, he didn’t know if he managed to avoid alerting the field’s creator or not. He didn’t particularly care. His curiosity outweighed his cautiousness. However, even he did not expect to see a priest with a gun pointed at a white-haired woman with her hands around his throat.

What sort of battle had he walked into? One of the church’s hunting expeditions? There did seem to be a pant-less, winged succubus-looking girl nearby so maybe…

Lawrence immediately held his hands out in front of him. “Don’t mind me. I come in peace. I’m only here to look for Ms. Milburga Narbeck of the Burial Agency. I heard she lives somewhere around here...?”

He looked from the white haired woman, to the priest, to the seductively dressed winged creature that couldn’t possibly be human. “If I’m mistaken, I’ll happily take my leave.”

Lawrence laughed lightly, and somewhat awkwardly, as he rubbed the back of his neck a hand. If his uncle had made a mistake, he’d kill the old man for wasting his time. Again. Hopefully Derim, Charles, and Anna were having a better evening, helping Rika out, than he was.

<Worry not, o'master. A weakness of the spirit such as the one within you hurts none but the one who allows it to manifest and corrupt their habit. Not to mention one's reasons may... well, in any case, I have always appreciated some good dramatic performance. May we yet see the unfolding of victory, not tragedy.> I did a little bow, though even my master wouldn't be able to tell while I was in spiritual form. Master decided to take me up on the offer to leave that place, likewise agreeing that I should continue to work on the trolley train. <Were such matters as plenty and as efficient as thine requests, master, no doubt would be cast upon whether we would win this holy grail war. Alas, I lack such convenient swiftness as to be able to spawn it in time for the cacophony already spreading. Who our friend and comrade, I ask? Who is our foe, I inquire? For three to fight one another, a four perhaps if the master is to be counted, five if the floating blade is yet another, like dogs drawn by the same meat, but so occupied with growling, threatening and squabbling with one another that they forget the very meat that caused the conflict, their very purpose in the fight. I cannot help but sigh a sigh of exhasperation, master, since at least one among these is our ally. I hope not a second or a third who'd swing at one another in such a manner. Only the blade...a small child? Remarkly similar to one of them. Perhaps two related servants? On the same side no less. Indeed I hope such side is ours...ah, my apologies master, I became distracted.>

I realized something, or rather someone, else was occupying at least part of my master's attention. Yet as gave some of my own, there didn't particularly seem to be anything remarkable about that young man, other than perhaps his peculiar choice of words. Back in my day, we called it insanity. Nowadays, I believe there was a different kind of name...eigth grade syndrome? He spoke with grandeur as if he personally knew the now fallen gods. A strange name for a strange condition, I supposed, but if that was the manner of speech of these days, it couldn't be helped. More importantly, my master's response. Though the young man hadn't said anything of particular relevance, nor was he anyone of particular relevance, my master might still allow himself to be bothered by such a simple taunt. What was the expression? "Better safe than sorry"? Such lack of refinement. Well, at least it was memorable.

<Master, surely you need not heed the words of some stranger, not when we have matters to attend to. I beseech that you may show me the pride your lineage boasts of, and do not let this provocation get to your temper.>

Ryuga Tohsaka - Master of Darkness

Ryuga would nod, understanding Caster's issue. The uncertainty on who is in actuality is their friend, and who was their foe is quite a problem. He actually hoped whoever he prayed to would support them, but a voice interjected.

“The gods don’t really answer prayers.”

Ryuga turned towards the person who said it, A seemingly normal person, but he spoke as if he knew what he was talking about.

"They’re mostly gone now anyway. The few that are still alive don’t have the power to influence the world as they used to.”

"Who exactly are you? You aren't exactly taken aback from my appearance." Of course, other people try to avoid Ryuga when he is around. It is a lonely world indeed for him, his only real friend had passed away recently, which weighed heavily in his heart.....

-Flashback-

It was a rainy night, Ryuga was on his lonesome, heading back home with an umbrella above his head while he walked. He was thinking about his mother leaving him behind while she was at the Mages association to seek refuge there during the war. He was thinking about being abandoned when he heard several gunshots.

Ryuga ran towards the sound, and as soon as he showed up at an alleyway, he saw three men dressed in business suits, one with a assault rifle, one with a Flamethrower, and one with a bloody knife. The person with the knife stood over the shaking body of a girl, most likely younger than him (if excluding appearance.). Blood was seeping from her chest, as the male turned towards his two buddies and said, "We will be getting good pay for this! As soon as our boss hears we killed a Matou, we will be remembered by alot of future Assassins!"

His two partners cheered, as the male knelt down knife up, and whispered into the girl's ear, "You should have known we mage killers are prepared for nearly everything. Now I suggest closing your eyes, it will all be over in a min-" He didn't get to finish, because Ryuga would run in with his now closed Umbrella and smack the knife wielder in the face, knocking him back. The person dropped his knife in the process, and get up holding a bloody nose.

"Who dares to interfere in our-?" He stopped as soon as he stared at Ryuga's face. It was a menacing glare that made the assassin step back for a brief moment. The assassin regained his composure and looked at the flamethrower user. "You Know what to do!" "Understood!" He lowered the nozzle and pulled back the trigger, Ryuga dropped forward and grabbed the knife before throwing it at the guy's Fuel tank.

As soon as the knife hit the tank, it exploded, the guy was enveloped in flames and ran away screaming. Sharepnel from the explosion struck the leader in the face, and a large bit pierced through his skull. He fell in an instant. The Assault Rifle prepared to fire, but Ryuga ran up to the Gunner before he could fire, and punch the guy in the face, knocking him out cold.

After the fight, Ryuga would kneel down and take his jacket off, putting it over the wound to stop the bleeding. He asked her, "Are you okay?" He asked concerned. She looked at Ryuga, before recognizing who he was. "R.... Ryuga?" "Y-you know my name?"he asked, surprised she knew him. "You... Were that... Boy I would..... Play with....... When our parents....... Would meet....... You..... Remember me?" It took a second for Ryuga to respond. "Kozue? You.... Were the only childhood friend I had."

He asked his friend, "Those three guys from earlier, who were they?" Kozue winced in pain, but responded, "They were..... Hired to attack me...... They knew..... I was participating in...... The war....." She held her right hand up, all three command seals intact. They were black instead of red however. "Ryuga...... Please.... Take my seals. I don't want...... Caster to be without a....... Master." "But Kozue, if you have caster, maybe that can-" She put her hand up, a finger to his lips to keep him quiet.

"It's too late for me... Ryuga, please..... Win for me." Ryuga would close his eyes, tears flowing from them, as he held Kozue's hand, her seals being transferred to Ryuga. After the transfer, Kozue smiled and said, "Thank..... You..." Before she stopped moving. Ryuga got up and yelled, before shouting, causing one seal to vanish. "Caster! Whoever you are, Save her, Please!!!"

That idiot. Does he seriously plan on killing his master and possibly dooming our Lancer? We’ll have to talk some sense into him later but there are more pressing matters for now. Like continuing my fight with that Lancer, our fight. I jumped to block her strike, changing midair. Now I was in full plate, wielding a sword. Man those mystic eyes are annoying though. Just how can I stop their effects?

I reached her. Parrying her thrust I bantered, “Did you forget about me? Or did you think I was unable to fight CQC? Either way you’re naive!” Now she won’t be able to ignore me, and I plan to keep it that way. Now we’re falling while fighting. Given her longer reach and the fact that I’m not in top form(stupid eyes!) we suffered some wounds. But it’s nothing so don’t surrender. Keep going, keep fighting, live!

“I can do this all day.” I said while taking a stance, having hit the ground.

She watched as the enemy servant summoned forth a wall of ice, deflecting Tran's swing as well as her redirected fireballs. But she wasn't about to let that stop her. As the servant spoke she quickly dug into her pocket, pulling out a pair of goggles and slipping them over her eyes. Once they were firmly in place she refocused on the servant, still carrying on. Taking a deep breath heat began radiating around her. A small wind fluttering about her due to the rapidly shifting temperatures. She held her glare on the man, even as he threw his sword at Tran. She knew that she'd have to get serious right from the start. While she was almost inclined to call his flying sword unfair, it wasn't like he was the only one who could control his weapon of choice mid-flight. Small sparks of light formed in her palms, the heat swirling around her rushing towards her hands to fuel the ever-growing light.

However, before she could even think of attacking the man had vanished. She didn't even have time to frantically look around before feeling his hand on her shoulder and his voice behind her. She went to quickly turn, but the forceful hand kept her in place. It was clear he wasn't trying to hurt her, but even then it wasn't just a casual resting hand either. Clenching her fists the heat that had accumulated quickly spread across her body. "Vita." Was the only response she gave him before her entire form erupted into white-hot flame. The floor beneath her began to warp and melt almost immediately, yet beyond a few feet the temperature was entirely normal. All her scalding heat being contained around her and, subsequently, the servant touching her. The snow that suddenly began to flurry in through the broken window melted as soon as it neared her.

She barely noticed, or had time, to subdue her radiating fury before the younger Rider reached her. Not wanting to hurt the girl the flames were snuffed out as quickly as they had formed as she was quickly swept up. In the blink of an air she was resting atop a large elephant, removed from Saber and left trying to get her bearings. The sound of yet more gunshots ringing in her ears. By reflex she wrapped her arms around the smaller girl that was, surprisingly, carrying her. As they made their attempted escape she looked back, squirming in the young servant's arms. "W-wait! We can't just leave Tran!"

Anna, Archer of Light, and Rika
D790_7_511_0004_600.jpg

“I’ve lost sight of them, Master.” Standing at the opening of a helicopter hovering 50,000 feet in the sky, Archer lowered his bow. Even from here, he could see the plant-covered cathedral sitting atop Lugate Hill well enough—through the windows and openings he created on the roof. “They’ve all entered a reality marble of some sort.”

“Can you pierce through it?”

The blonde servant shook his head. It had all been planned out. Rika, who had been following Jack, found out about the meeting. However, rather than attack Rider’s master right away, she decided to contact them. Archer kept an eye on the location. Scouted the area. Anna, when she arrived with Charles and Derim, planted the seeds.

The rest was just waiting for the prey to arrive.

Seated in the pilot’s seat, the Anna flicked a switch and spoke into the headset she wore. “Ms Rika? Charles? Derim? Can any of you hear me? What’s going in there?”

There was a buzzing noise, and something that sounded like gun fire, before Rika answered. “It’s a warzone. Lancer’s holding off Berserker and Saber’s mowing down the infantry like cattle. Took out 1/3 of them with her Noble Phantasm alone, but there’s still a good chunk left.”

“Will you be able to get out?”

“Once I find Corvinus’s master and eliminate him. Fortunately, all this chaos makes it easy to remain undetected.”

“Corvinus?”

“The black armor they wear. The banner they raise. There can be no doubt about it. We are facing the Black Army, led by one Mathias Corvinus—the Raven King of Hungry during the 15th century.”

“…is there anything I can do to help?”

“For now, nothing. Get ready to target any surviving enemies once the reality marble comes down. Is there anyone who managed to escape the radius of Corvinus’s Noble Phantasm?”

“Not as far as I’m aware…,”
Archer scanned the perimeter of the building. “Oh, wait! I see a priest down there. He seems to be leaving the church.”

“Follow him. Keep out of sight. If he does anything suspicious, kill him.”

Archer looked to Anna who nodded. Sighing, the blond servant vanished into spirit form to follow the escaping human who was neither a master or a servant in the Holy Grail War. Killing a non-involved party, especially a holy man of the church, didn’t appeal to him, but he also understood the stakes in this war. He was a coward. He always had been. Weak to women as well.

Jack, Changwei, and Judith
Jack coughed as blood got down his throat. With Clux’s blood purging the poison from his system, the feeling returned to his legs. His arms. His head. Once his vision cleared enough, he got a clear view of a winged woman flying through the skies and hacking through bodies as if they were nothing.

It was a horrendous, yet beautiful sight.

Blood splattered her armor. Cries of death and pain surrounded her. However, none of that seemed to take away from the way she shown in the battlefield. Her ephemeral beauty even as she took away one life after another like an angel of death.

“Beautiful, isn’t it?” Changwei spoke from beside him. “Valkyries are said to choose who may live and who may die in battle. To carry chosen heroes, slain in battle, to Valhalla. I never thought I would get the chance to see one up close. In a battlefield, no less. Who will she choose, I wonder, to take to the hall of the slain?”

“No one,”
Judith replied as Saber shot to the sky. A mountainous amount of mana gathered at a single point before a giant light beam of pure gold slammed down on the ground scattering the horsemen, annihilating a good number, and destroying the landscape . Even though the odds weighed heavily against her, it didn’t look like she would lose. “She’s a Servant in the Grail War— soul within the throne of heroes herself.”

“But it makes a good story no?”
Changwei chuckled as Judith’s bat chimera flew back to its owner after having bitten him to help quicken the spread of Clux’s blood . “Regardless, we have Miss Clux to thank for providing a cure.”

The pollen hadn’t traveled very far in his system and he had managed to drag Judith away from Saber the moment she was distracted by the reality marble . Lancer had vanished into the spirit form as soon as Archer had given his warning, cursing him for his stupidity and threatening to kill him if he harmed her master all the while.

"How did you guys let this happen? Inviting us here right into a trap." Jack shook his head. "I knew we shouldn't have come."

"It's my fault for not being able to foresee this,"
Changwei removed his glasses and pinched the bridge of his nose. Even with one Servant staying out of the battle, he could feel the drain. It was heavy. How much longer could he maintain the reality marble? 5 minutes? 10? Changwei wasn’t an idiot. He would cut off the mana-supply to Archer if he felt his life was in danger. However, he also wanted to see how this battle would turn out. It was a good opportunity to see what their allies were made of as well. "Getting out alive should be our priority. I can force this reality marble to an end, but that would also mean returning to the cathedral where the pollen remains in the air and our ranged assailant has us within sights. For now, we are safest here. If Archer and Berserker can defeat the enemy Servants all the better. There's only two of them, after all."

He put his glasses back on. You have 10 minutes, Archer. Show us what your army can do.

Saber of Light NP Revealed!

Swords I know lying
in Sigarsholm,
Fifty there are
save only four;
One there is
that is best of all,
The shield-destroyer,
with gold it shines.

9. In the hilt is fame,
in the haft is courage,
In the point is fear,
for its owner's foes;
On the blade there lies
a blood-flecked snake,
And a serpent's tail
round the flat is twisted.

Name: The Shield-Destroyer

Type: Anti-unit/Anti-fortress

Rank: B

Description: A golden sword engraved with snakes and runes, it is the weapon found in Sigarsholm belonging to the hero Helgi in norse mythology. True to its name, it’s a sword that cuts through armor and defense of anything ranked B or lower. When she pours her feelings for its owner into the weapon, she can channel it into a devastating anti-fortress beam of energy (that also cuts the defense of the target it hits, assuming they survive). Normally she can only do this 3 times per grail war (due to the fact that she has 3 incarnations with her lover), but outside factors like command seals/master’s mana supply may influence this.

AssassinHm. This was a good a time as any for him to retreat. It was not out of cowardice that he chose now to disappear. He had revealed all that he needed to reveal about the enemy, at the cost of the revelation of one of his Noble Phantasms. The Master was not human, and the enemy’s identity was more or less confirmed. His own identity remained a mystery, but, as he had figured earlier, there were only so few riflemen of his calibre that were related to the snow. That having been said, he would rather not waste any more time here. They had found his location, despite his best efforts to remain hidden, and deflected his bullets, much to his own chagrin. How they had done so even when his position was completely unknown to them was not his concern. This was a promise, however. The next time he fired at them, he would not replicate this result, on his honor as a sniper. As the snow continued to whirl around the Servants and their master, Assassin aimed his rifle once more. Now that they were in the outside, exposed to the elements, their vision was worse than ever, while he held the vantage over the area, even in this never-ending winter.

But this time, his target was different. He pressed his finger against the trigger, paused, then fired. Straight at his Saber partner. The bullet missed him by a hair’s breadth, as calculated, zipping right in front of his eyes. Wordlessly, he aimed his rifle skywards, and fired two shots, as if calling Saber’s attention to him. The wild snowstorm that enveloped him hid him from the view of the Servants and their Master, but Saber would be able to see him nonetheless. He waved towards Saber, then with a whirl of his cloak, turned and disappeared into an alley, as the snowstorm continued to rage onwards around the enemy. He had signalled his withdrawal, unbeknownst to his enemy. He would remain in the area long enough to facilitate Saber’s own withdrawal or continued assault with his ghostly winter, but no more, and no less. Strategically, if the enemy chose to seek him out in this blizzard, it would be their downfall. Given who they are, they, too, would know this. They would be hunting a needle in the snow, and that needle would more likely put an end to them if they made the wrong move.

Well, he assumed they would know, anyway. Either way, if they hunted him down, a being of fire or not, their Master was a wide open target in the white void, and seated so high upon their elephant too. Hmph. This would be an easy enough shot. However, he would only be wasting more bullets if he continued. Not that he hadn’t an infinite supply of bullets, but more like it would be an annoying battle of cat and mouse, with both sides playing the cat and the mouse at the same time. He was a hunter, not a fighter. He would visit upon them death again, and make them wish they hadn’t made it out of this fight alive. Not today, not tomorrow, but he will come again on another day. Maybe the next time, they wouldn’t magically realise his position through some metaphysical divining tool.

AISLING ~

"Sean!" Aisling shouted as she burst through the door of the old farmhouse where she and her brothers made their home. Sean, her older brother, sat at the kitchen table with a stack of papers scattered out in front of him. "Sean, guess what! Lucy had twins!" Sean glanced up from what he was doing to look at Aisling, a brow arching slightly in surprise.

"Did she now?" he drawled out. Aisling gave an excited nod.

"Yeah, that so far makes 5 lambs to sell at market this fall. And Becca hasn't even had hers yet."

"I suppose that is a bit of good news," Sean said turning his attention back to the papers before him. While he looked surprised about the lambs, he still a look of solemn frustration about him.

"Aisling," he started, sounding as if he really didn't want to say what needed to be said. "We need to have discussion." Aisling's stomach began to turn into knots. She had a feeling that she wasn't going to like what he had to say. Sean was silent for a moment, too long, before he continued.

"I've been going over the finances and it's not looking very good. We're at risk of losing farm unless we do something really soon." Sean glanced down at the table as he rubbed his hands together, his jaw clenched and unclenched. He really didn't want to say it, but… "We might have to consider selling Pooka."

Aisling's heart dropped at her brother's words.

“But… but, the lambs…” she stuttered trying to think of some other way.

“Will not be ready to sell until fall," Sean finished. "We need the money now, Aisling." Sean looked up at his little sister. He knew how much she loved that horse and he wished there was some other way around it. "Pooka is in fine condition and should be able to fetch us a good couple thousand pounds or more if we're lucky. That would be enough to pay off some of the debt and buy us a little more time. I'm sorry, Aisling. I really am."

Tears prickled at Aisling's eyes. Before they had a chance to fall, she turned and headed for the door. She opened in only to run into Thomas.

"Hey Aisling," Thomas said. The smile of greeting disappeared when he saw that she was crying. "What's wrong?"

Aisling didn't answer. She just pushed past him out of the house. Thomas turned to Sean with a questioning look and Aisling heard Sean give a sigh. But she didn't stay to hear what he was going to say. She didn't want to hear him repeat that they had to sell Pooka. Instead she ran out to the old barn.

As Aisling opened the barn door as soft wickering greeted her. Pooka leaned his head over his stall door, his ear perked forward as he gazed at her expectantly. Aisling threw her arms around the gelding's neck and cried into his dark mane.

"Oh, Pooka," she sobbed. "I don't know what to do." Pooka brought his head around and he gently blew his warm breath into her ear, almost as if he were comforting her.

The black gelding then gave Aisling's shoulder a nudge. As if answering some unspoken question, Aisling reached over and grabbed his bridle from where it hung on the wall. She slipped it onto Pooka's head and lead him from the barn. Not bothering with a pad or saddle, Aisling hopped onto his back and guided him out of the farmyard. The lane was quiet as she steered him down it, pressing her heels to his sides as she urged him into a gallop.

Saber of Darkness
Saber stared at his hand. It stung a bit, but nothing Saber wasn’t used to. Having trained with his temperamental Noble Phantasm for many years, fire didn’t particularly frighten him. A couple of lines in his native tongue and even the pain went away like it was never there. Still, the fact that he felt anything at all was a little startling.

"Vita, hm?"

He wondered which fire burned hotter. Hers or the prized gift from his God?

As if hearing his thoughts, Saber’s self-moving Noble Phantasm, which had been deftly avoiding the elephant’s trampling legs, picked up its pace and sliced at the large mammal’s flesh with renewed vigor. Saber himself had leapt back to avoid the enraged mount summoned by the Servant’s twin. There was no longer any doubt that Tran was Rider. In fact, he was fairly certain he knew her identity as well.

From the far east. Sisters. Elephants.

It could be none other than the Trung Sisters

Calling the floating blade to himself, Saber caught his weapon as his feet touched the ground and he considered what to do about the rampaging animals. He could cut them down as most in his current class would—duel wielding both his Noble Phantasms. Or, he could go with the easier, yet more wasteful route. A bullet whizzing pass him answered the question for him. Assassin seemed impatient. If he didn’t consider Valk an able marksman, he might’ve thought the Servant decided to betray him.

Eyes on his targets, Saber summoned chains that surrounded and restrained the armored elephants, whose size and weight didn't lend itself to quick evasive maneuvers. Not just ordinary chains though. Special chains. Ones he created himself based on what he learned from the dwarves. The chains of Gleipnir. They wouldn’t be easily broken.

He then pointed the stronger of his two Noble Phantasms into the ground and, using the smallest fraction of its power, engulfed the entire café in flames. Already the building started to crumble a bit, though whether it was due to fire melting through beams or the rampage of Rider’s mount weakening the structure, it was hard to say. Probably a combination of both.

Satisfied, Saber vanished into spirit form and glided through the roof of the building. By the time he re-appeared, Saber was a couple of hundred meters away, once more donning the guise of a human, and headed towards the direction where Assassin indicated his location. While he thought it’d be good for all evidence of battle and magic to burn to the ground, he didn’t care one way whether or not Vita or Rider returned to put out the flames and save the mounts. Chasing them wasn’t a priority of his. In fact, the only reason he’d come to America was to secure the alliance with Assassin of Dark and their master.

That in mind, Saber pulled a phone from his pocket and dialed Alan Martin’s number to give the boy his report on the Cheyenne investigation. He brought the device to his ear and listened as it rang and rang and rang again before ultimately cutting to voicemail. He repeated the action twice more before frown settled on his features. Had something happened to Assassin’s master?

In life, Saber had been commissioned by Odin to create chains strong enough to bind the great beast, Fenrir. Therefore he visited the dwarves and together they forged Gleipnir, a magical restraint 'impossible' to break, that would hold Fenrir until the coming of Ragnarok. As a Servant, Saber retains knowledge of how to craft these chains. However, due to the fact that he is not a dwarf, and the chains aren't the exact ones from legend, the rank drops from EX to A. This translates to them simply being very tough chains with an extremely high effect on phantasmal beasts (all stats and abilities of phantasmal species decrease 3 ranks when bound)

As Lancer of Light charged forward, her general senses kicked in glancing to the side as Berserker game charging in. She shifted a bit as her blow was struck being deflected. Her eyes fixated with a stern glare towards her seeing her heavy armor. Being in the air was far from the best position to fight though Lancer was quick to move her spear to block utilizing her superior range to her advantage to press the offensive acting as the best defense for her, though the current position she was in made it a bit harder. Upon landing she spun her spear with great grace glancing over briefly towards Archer having her attempt to thwart his ability halted.

"I won't no quarrel with you now Berserker, nor should you have one with me while you Master is at risk, put further in danger by your own ally's foolishness." She spoke quite sternly her mystic eyes gazing upon the servant not able to really control her ability though at the moment holding little care considering the current situation they were in. She could see the Saber was handling Archer's work taking out the infantry handling it a lot on her own. With Berserker in her way there wasn't much chance for her to help though to some extent she was fortunate enough to be contained far enough away from it all. It still had her worried there was more to come that was likely to be even more trouble for them should Archer of Dark not have his Noble phantasm disrupted. She had to deal with Berserker though for now, until she might be able to slip past and strike Archer.

"If I have to strike you down in order to minimize the risk of greater causalities, then so be it!" She spoke as she pushed forward suddenly striking at Berserker. Now on the ground Lancer adapted a stance to fully take advantage of her ranged combat. Her spear struck out utilizing its further reach to strike at Berserker carefully aiming her strikes aiming at the joints of his armor in order to hit at a weaker point. Her fighting style was much more aggressive clearly attempting to push the advantage she had and utilize her quick speed as well as Berserker's restriction from her eyes. She needed to get Berserker out of the way in order to deal with in her mind a bigger threat both to her and Saber, as well as to the Masters she didn't wish to get needlessly killed if all possible. She could deal with fighting a little dirty for the sake of a less bloody result.

Garm watched, and the moment the arrows crashed through into the room. His eyes darted around the room, analyzing everything they could. The arrows, the flowers, the effects of the pollen. He began to chuckle. "Oh, I do adore the absurd amount of bloodshed and combat this modern era has presented!" 'Well this isn't good' Garm thought to himself 'If we stay in the room, and this ailment is allowed to continue to plague the masters, it could cause a failure of their hearts... they'd die.' Garm wasn't ready to leave the mortal plane yet. Meaning he had to keep Jack alive. He watched Clux and nodded. He said, "I can assist with the collection of blood." Garm then after a brief internal debate then set into motion his plan.

To make sure Jack wasn't going to inhale the pollen or more of it that he already had, Garm did something that would've been unthinkable to him, had he not... well, trusted Jack. Garm removed his mask and placed it over Jack's face. Garm said to his master "Now go. Try not to die." He rose up, before looking at his enemies, eye's full of fury, his face fully exposed. His mask lost the glow to it, his Jaw seeming to leak out whatever made the mask glow. It trickled up Garm's mouth, like an ethereal fire. He spun his cloak around him, and after it returned to normal, no longer did he wear his atrocious clothes but his noble armor.
570805
He screamed "MAIDSERVANT! ALLIES OF HERS! FACE ME! THOU DO NOT HAVE MY RESPECT AS A WARRIOR !" Garm's eyes filled with rage "DUE TO THOU'S COWARDICE, ATTEMPTING TO KILL MY MASTER BEFORE HE'D EVEN HAD A SERVANT, ATTEMPTING TO STAB OUR MASTERS IN THE BACK! FORCING MY HAND IN REMOVING MY MASK!" He growled "I promise you, I WILL BRING A SUFFERING UNSEEN TO MORTALS AND IMMORTALS ALIKE! AN ETERNAL SUFFERING OF NUMBNESS IN THE WINDS OF HEL! I'VE SUFFERED AN ETERNITY WITH THAT PAIN, AND NOW THOU SHALL HAVE WHAT LITTLE OF MY TORMENT WAS!" His anger seemed to cool turning from hot anger to the cool, calculated kind.

He drew his blade and set into action. First, was Lancer. He was confident in Archer's ability to fight off Saber, but Berserker seemed to need assistance. And so he complied with his obligation, leaping into combat, using his mana burst on his legs, rocketing forth at Lancer of Light, trying to match her spear with his blade. He said, "Why don't thou fight like a warrior, Girl?" He spat out the last word, obviously not respecting her, similarly to Saber of Light and his duel, only subtracting the subtlety used. He did his best to try and create space for his beserker. And clash as often as possible with Lancer. He winced, upon realizing that using any mana bursts, or most of his abilities, would drain Jack. And right now Jack needed to fend for himself. He said to Lancer, teeth smiling through his skin and the flames "Thou does fight impressively, however... thou seems to lack the proper attire for warfare. This is not some winter frolic through the snow. I do however appreciate the attempt you made, with those silly gauntlets."

Caretaker of Darkness
Darkness tilted his head, considering Caster's Master. The young man paused, seemingly bombarded by some sort of heavy-handed memory, so the entity in human form gave him a second or two before retorting. "Why should I be afraid of you? I chose you."

Ryuuga's appearance was really nothing special in the society of magic. In the history of Gaia. Lonliness. Fear. Intolerance of things different or unknown. It was something he'd seen consistently while walking the earth as a human. Great or small, it was all the same. It wasn't limited to humanity either. Closing the book, titled '101 ways to cook beef stew' in Japanese, Darkness gave Ryuuga his full attention.

"I just thought I'd give you some advice. That is, if you have a wish, something you want to see accomplished, to take matters into your own hands. Opportunities may be given, but it won't matter if you don't reach for them."

Humans prayed to gods because they had wants they couldn't accomplish on their own. Gods granted some of these wants because worship gave them strength. Shrines were simply proof that such a coexistence once existed on the planet. They still held some power, maybe housed a divine spirit or two, but the authority of the gods had long since diminished. Not that any of those rules applied to him, of course. He wasn't created from a collection of human thoughts.

"Isn't that what the Grail is for? Why waste time in prayer when the answer to those prayers is well within sights? Seems horribly inefficient to me." Darkness pushed up his glasses. He did want them to emerge victorious after all. While he had no intention of directly interfering with the game, little nudges here and there were perfectly reasonable.

Rider

The Younger Rider kept in a muffled laugh as she continued to run. "My sister will be fine, if anything those servants have to be afraid of her!" If there was a single drop of doubt, then the Younger Rider was hiding it well. Once Rider thought she had put enough distance between the servants and her master, she stopped. There was no signs of Assassin's bullets, nor Saber's presence. Deeming it as safe, the Younger Rider dumped Vita onto the ground. They were currently in an empty alleyway. "Those damned servants, I'll have their heads," The Younger Rider muttered to herself. They had killed
precious companion, Koki, along with her sister's. While she could always summon them again, the pain they inflicted to Koki would not be forgiven.

"Anyway, it seems like my sister is on lookout just in case that the enemy servants are nearby." The Younger Rider turned and ran a hand through her hair. How troublesome. Despite their assault, they didn't make the Riders lose possession of Cheyenne, which was good. On the other hand facing against the two servants of darkness without assistance would be extremely troublesome. Hopefully, their allies will realize where they were and come to them. If not, then they would have to improvise. The Younger Rider to Vita. An apology would not suffice, that was for sure. If anything, an apology would probably make Vita angrier. That being said, the Younger Rider decided to remain quiet. Silently waiting for Vita to respond, letting her go at her own pace.

Ryuga would understand what the person meant.
"Unless I myself take action, I won't be able to claim the future I wish for." He looked at The Caretaker, before saying, "I will not fail you. Caster," He said, as he turned around and would head to the shrine's exit. "Let's get that train finished." He wasn't going to waste any more time.

The bloody stench of battle filled Ava's nostrils. Her prey lay flat and vulnerable in front of her, and yet it still had the gall to try and talk its way out of the situation. It had that same sort of audacious confidence that the Boss had. The kind that, even when a predator had her teeth around its heart.

A complex brew of feelings bubbled up in her chest, and she pressed her forehead against Nicholas's gun barrel.

"That's a fun bet, don't you think?" She wasn't quite sure what to make of Nicholas. Just from these few moments, she had an inkling that he was the same sort of absurd human being as the Boss. A human in name only, so to speak. She could smell it on him. The sort of scent that only someone who'd kill a room of toddlers without batting an eye if they had a reason to. The scent of someone who'd stare down a lion and still act like that had the absolute advantage.

In the Boss's case, it was scary. But in the case of the little man in front of her, it was exciting. She was so, so sick of her usual prey. The kind that talked big, but the moment things started going poorly they'd break down. Screaming, crying, begging for forgiveness.

It left a bad taste in her mouth.

"Your trigger finger or my grip? Hehe... Reminds me of a western. 'Who's the fastest gun in the west?', right?" In spite of the situation, Ava's demeanor was still nothing short of ecstatic. In the face of her mangled legs, she was grinning from ear to hear, and at the gun leveled at her, she was giggling like a school girl.

So it was only natural that something would show up to spoil her fun.

Usually, she would have been able to notice Lawrence's approach, but she'd been so caught up in her little tussle that she didn't register his presence until he'd already inserted himself into the conversation. Asking for the boss. Asking her to do something other than rip this guy's throat out, or get shot in the head.

Urgh.

Urrrggghhh.

She hated it.

Not only was he trying to steal away her attention, but the murderous little wolf in pastor's clothing was trying to talk her down too. It was like a strip tease. Prancy-dancing their way away from the matter at hand.

Letting out a disgruntled sigh, Ava released her grip on Nicholas's throat and shakily stood up straight.

"Fine." She pouted down at Nicholas's woefully intact self. "Looks like you've been saved by the bell. Watch your back."

Now that she actually took a second to think about it, Fafnir getting attacked around here wasn't exactly surprising. After all, if she'd gone to visit a monster hunting agency, and found a monster on the way there, what would she have done?

So, her sparring buddy was probably here for the same reason as the mysterious red head.

"This is her place, but wha'd'ya want? Got a vampire you need killed? Maybe a werewolf?" As she spoke, Ava limped towards the man, half sizing him up and half staring him down. "Sorry, but we're not in business in the moment. A bit busy with some end of the world stuff."

Even with the girl's confident remark Vita wasn't happy about just leaving Tran behind to fight two on one. Eventually they came to a stop and before she could say anything she was dumped to the ground. A small yelp slipping past her lips as she shot a glare up at the girl before rising to her feet. She held her tongue, though. She agreed with the girl's muttered remark after all. Her expression softened a bit at the mention of Tran being on look-out, that meant the enemy had left and the other Rider was safe. With a sigh of relief she turned to lean against the wall. With everything calming down she now had to think things through. She still hadn't entirely believed the twins. It all seemed absurd. But after that display it was obvious she really was stuck in a war. And with what that sword guy did, she didn't stand a chance in a fight.

These thoughts continued to swirl in her mind, quickly souring her mood into one of aggravation until she finally let out a loud, annoyed sigh. "Well, we can't do this by ourselves. They had two people on their team, and I doubt they were also twins. Don't we have any teammates anywhere?" She had no clue how many servants the enemy had, if they were willing to send two their way they might just as easily send more. To that end she quickly continued. "Do we even know how many of them there are? Is it just those two?" Regardless, she would have to start taking this seriously. Her friends were right there with her during the attack, they could have been killed. With her thoughts racing a million miles a minute she, once again, continued before ever even giving the younger girl a chance to respond. "We need to leave the city." She couldn't risk another attack hurting her friends and family, and the best way to do that was to take the fighting as far away from them as possible.

To the Younger Rider's relief, Vita was taking things well. Besides the fact that Vita had just witnessed a couple of people dying, the burning of elephants, experiencing close calls, and a servant seemed to be interested in her. In the Younger Rider's point of view she expected Vita to pop. Now what was more important was their current course of action. The enemies knew they were there and like Vita said their allies were nowhere to be found. "While I would like to say that we do have allies, I cannot say that I know where we are," The Younger Rider said frowning. "Several servants have been summoned all across the world, seven light and seven dark." The Younger Rider looked at the sky. "Some of allies may have been already defeated, some of them might of killed the enemy servants already." She looked down back at Vita, "What I do know is that this 'incident' would most likely alarm our allies, along with our enemies. You are correct when you say that we have to leave this place immediately."

Reaching down, she took out a cell phone and began to punched in a few numbers. "I know a few people that can get us out of here easily." Turning away from Vita, she put the phone up to her ear. "Hey, how is everything?" A quiet, feminine voice responded back to her. "Everything is going badly, people are panicking despite our best efforts. Few have died during the panic and the police are still trying to calm everybody down." A sigh escaped the younger Rider's lips as she massaged her temples. "I need an escort for someone, think you can send one over here." There was silence before the lady confirmed that she could. After giving her their correct location, she stored away the cellphone. "Give them a few minutes, they'll be here soon." She told Vita as she looked at the building to where her Older Sister was on.

Archer of Darkness
Archer smiled as his faction turned the tide against the two enemy servants. He had been pitted against some golden knight and a Lancer who feared for the lives of others more than her own. He could not ask for more ideal prey. For ten minutes they would be cut off from their exterior support, this strike would make short work of the Saber and Lancer. Saber unsheathing her own noble phantasm and blowing away a part of his ashen army had been unexpected but not unforeseen. Striking out at his storm as they were still forming cost him little.

"You should have struck at me, Saber, rather than my distant army. These men follow my hatred in death as no one could in life. Strike them down and they will return as soon as the ash has cooled."

Thrilled at his own strategic brilliance Archer began to howl with laughter. His maniacal elation wracked his body to the point where he had to steady himself as the clouds of ash enveloped him. As it reached its destination, the storm of grey debris and orange sparks swelled ferociously, climbing into a towering cyclone where Archer stood. It seemed to grow by the second, with howling winds racing howling laughter for volume. Then, as suddenly as it had started it stopped, and the great tornado came crashing down on the ridge where archer had perched. For another moment there was silence, as the sound of the storm which had dominated the realm since Archer had created it dissipated. Soon enough though it was replaced by the clanking sound of metal on metal. As the clouds of ash cleared all within the reality marble could see the true form of Archer's noble phantasm.

On the ridge where he had proclaimed his plan now stood a small army of one hundred men. Each wore a ragged suit of black armor and carried in one hand a large shield and in the other a powerful arquebus. At their head stood Archer, contentedly smiling, reunited with the finest men of his army. The fearless men of the front line who sent so many running for the hills with the crack of their black powder weapons. With his army assembled he finally saw fit to set plans in motion. His army notably faced only the Saber of Light. He would test now just how reliable his allies were.

"Rider of Darkness, Berserker of Darkness!" He called out over his shoulder. "I am trusting you with the rear guard! Protect our masters and dispatch that pesky Lancer with due haste. Impress me and spoils from my eternal battlefield shall be yours!" With that, he finally turned his attention to the golden eyesore beneath him. "Now then, you pitiful knight! I hope you know that with the rise of these weapons your ilk became irrelevant! Even if your legend surpasses mine, I surpass you in history! I am your antithesis, I loathe your very existence! Under my reign, not one soul leaves the battlefield!"

Not wasting a moment he leaped into battle, with his army at his heels. At the peak of his jump, he would fire a volley of shots down on Saber, forcing her to contend with the while his men encircled her. Each man's shield was large enough that he could plant it on the ground like a barricade and balance his weapon on top. On its own, this tactic was devilishly clever, but with one hundred elites performing it around saber, they moved to wrap a ring of death around her. The line advanced, wary of their enemy, but fearless in the heart of the battle.

Saber of Light
“My antithesis, huh?” Saber raised her shield, blocking the volley of shots while weaving her way to avoid the rest, her wings supporting her and carrying her through the skies. Focusing on Archer attacks, Saber wasn’t able to stop his soldiers of armored black from encircling her.

Saber landed on the ground and watched the steadily approaching ring of death. A barricade of of shields creating a wall. Guns planted on top. It was a clever ploy. One that would make many seasoned warriors tremble in fear in a normal war. However, the Grail War wasn’t a normal war. And Servants were not normal warriors. She could hear Rider of Darkness shouting at her, though she was too preoccupied with her current opponent to pay it much mind.

“Your men are brave, Mad King, I’ll give you that. Fearless in the face of death, I’d lead them all to Valhalla if I could.” Launching herself forward at breakneck speeds, she cleaved straight through a line of elite armored warriors, shield and all, before shooting herself upward and high enough so she was out the trap. “However, if you believe your shields of metal can protect you from The Shield Destroyer, you are sadly mistaken.”

Loops and barrel rolls displayed her aerial prowress as she dodged any magical bullets/beams that came her way from multiple directions. Svava wasn’t a knight. She was a Valkyrie—a proud servant of Odin who rode through the skies. Not a simple swan that could so easily get caught in a simple trap laid out by mortal men and their guns.

Archer of Darkness was right about one thing though. The enemies she killed kept coming to life in his distorted battlefield. How much longer could she keep this up? A single mistake and she might be shot down. Then Rika and Derim would be left to deal with the legion on their own. If she wanted the army to end, Archer of Darkness ought be her target. With her bird’s eye view, he was easy enough to spot. The ridged he jumped from. The swarming of ants as they tried to shoot her hand. Shaking her, Saber of Light dived straight towards the creator of the reality marble and prepared to engage him in close ranged combat.

"Prepare yourself, Archer of Darkness!"

However, before she could reach her opponent, she would suddenly disappear.

Rika Santoki
575586

Magecraft cast on her herself, that made her invisible to her enemies, was how Rika maneuvered her way through the battlefield. It helped that Saber drew all the attention on herself. The maniacally elated king didn’t seemed didn’t seem to notice her as he enveloped himself in a storm of dust…which probably obscured a bit of his vision. Or he was too busy choking on his laughter to pay her any attention.

One or the other.

Regardless, Rika found a position behind a dead tree where she was able to spot the enemy Masters. Rider of Darkness had chosen to join Berserker of Darkness in fighting Lancer after his rant. All was going according to plan. Not even Saber was aware of Rika’s true target. The true reason for the ambush. Svava would have never agreed to the plan if she knew about it.

But Rika wasn’t stupid. She’d seen how Rider survived despite being run straight through by Saber’s sword. The skill he possessed. She doubted even a direct hit from Svava’s Noble Phantasm could kill him, which was why she’d stopped Saber back then. He was probably their biggest threat in the dark faction. Ensuring a way to remove him from the Grail War was the only way the Light Faction could win.

His words didn’t bother her. Respect as a warrior? Cowardice? Easy for a Servant to say such things. It wasn’t their world that was going to be reset if the dark faction couldn’t be eliminated. Rika’s resolution only hardened, her hand tightening, at Garm’s promise to bring eternal suffering to the world. Not on her watch. Not while she was alive.

Rika waited for the right moment, when Rider was in deeply focused on his clash with Lancer, before pulling off her glove. “By the power of this command seal, I order you, Saber of Light, to use your second Noble Phantasm, ‘For the Love of a Man’, on Rider of Darkness. Now.”

Suddenly, Saber of Light teleported between Lancer and Rider, her shield blocking Lancer’s spear while her sword countered Rider’s. Not really giving either Servants a chance to react, Saber vanished her sword, mindless of the vulnerable position that left her in, grabbed the collar of his of his cloak and pressed his flaming lips against hers.

Both bodies glowed.

Whoopsie! You've been Hit by an NP!

Name: For the Love of A Man.
Rank: EX
Type: Anti-World.
Description: In life, Saber's strong feelings towards her lover were such that even death cannot do them part. Once per a Grail War, Saber can pour all her feelings into a chosen target and intertwine their fates. She dies when they die and vice versa (they die when she does). Think Destiny Bond. If used on a Servant, it significantly raises the likelihood of the two of them being summoned to the same Grail War, the next time around. Due to personality, Saber will refuse all uses of this NP on anyone but Helgi Hjörvarðsson.

Berserker of Dark VS Saber of Light
Ok, this is bad. I don't know what that "clock"-eating fool did to impress her master into forcing Svava into using that Noble Phantasm on him but it's the only logical conclusion. Her heart's taken after all. Just use your Noble Phantasm and it'll end well, maybe. Need to try at least. "Svava huh." I said while dramatically turning back to my main self, the one from the British Tomb of the Unknown Warrior, the first of us with recognition. "You say you'd take all that Archer's soldiers to Valhalla if you could?" I smirked. "Well, lets show you your hall of the slain! Sons, of, Mars!" Before Saber and Berserker disappeared.
Noble Phantasm revealed

Sons of Mars
We Shall Live Forever and Never
Anti-Unit (Self)

Range: ~

Berserker is nameless, a nobody who died in a random war in a random time period. He is not alone in his namelessness, millions of soldiers share his fate. Of being forgotten, crushed below the feet of heroes and kings alike, dying for their fame and power. Their world was nothing but quiet servitude, for a cause they may or may not have even believed in

Sons of Mars is their worlds, their dreams and fears and deaths all fused together into a world with no name. This Inner World is an infinite expanse, with the mustard gas ridden trenches of the World Wars, the snow ridden cities of the Russian Civil War, the hill of swords from the battle Battle of Camlann, to the bloodstained fields of the American Civil War, countless battles have forced themselves deep into the minds of the men who fought them, and even in death, not one has forgotten these battlefields.

With a breath, the weapons of these battles can forced from this inner world into the outer world, forcing their way through Berserker’s flesh. These weapons bring with them the fighting style of its wielder, letting the main host wield the weapon with the same proficiency as the wielder. Though swapping to the wielder is also possible.

If Berserker needs to, he can take it a step further, and bring someone from the outer world into the inner world. In this world, there is only one place an outsider can even comprehend and truly understand.

The fragment of the Nameless World materialized to outsiders is a graveyard, sprawled out with makeshift graves of swords stabbed into the earth, rifles standing on their bayonet with a helmet on it, to small tones written in kanji and simple poles of wood, inscribed with simply numbers.

A mere fraction of the soldiers can materialize here, their only combat effectiveness is sheer numbers against a Heroic Spirit. They seem as if they are mindlessly chasing the opponent, but they are not mindless, each one has their own free will and desires. Some want to fight war forever, others want to be released from the battlefield that still holds onto them, and some just want to see their family again. Yet these dreams could not be fulfilled while underneath a ruler, and each soldier will ramp up in aggression drastically if fighting their former commanders.
"This is your Valhalla, where slain soldiers go. Try not to lose you're lunch at what you've done to us." I then turned to the armies, yes armies as the singular word wouldn't begin to describe their numbers. "Today we have a Valkyrie to kill! One who has the audacity to believe they have a say in what afterlife we belong in! One who believes she has sent us somewhere great! Lets show her how wrong she is!" And thus the charge began, at first they seemed mindless given the sheer fervor they possess. That is until they spoke. "Reality marbles are separate worlds from Gaia and thus you can die here, alone. Away from that Rider you thought you were stuck with. You should be thanking us given his sheer stupidity." And it's not just handheld weapons she has to worry about anymore. Artillery, cannons, tanks, planes, and far more. Every weapon of war ever barring those that could be called Noble Phantasms. Let's see how long Svava, Valkyrie of norse mythology, lasts.

Nicholas' eyes narrowed. That madwoman. Even with the barrel of a gun pointed against her forehead, it was still not enough reason to relent. His fingers tightened around the trigger, now wary and ready to fire the gun the second it became necessary. Even more unsettling, was her laugh, filled with what was almost childlike glee. Make no mistake, however - what Nicholas was staring down was nothing near human. The ferocity of a beast, strength and bloodlust of a Dead Apostle, that woman was nothing short of a monster. Even in this situation, she was joking. Nicholas let out a false smile, almost amused by Ava's statement.

However, a young man showed up at almost just the right time, saving both Ava and Nicholas from what could've been a grisly end. Looks like all it took was a random guy, right place, right time, to get that savage off of him. And thankfully, for the most part, Nicholas was intact. Well, moreso than Ava, at the very least. There was a distinct aching in his back as a result of being slammed into the ground full-force, though his injuries seemed to end there. Ava on the other hand...

"Well enough then. It seems as though what I am seeking is not here - thus, I shall take my leave." Nicholas nonchalantly raised himself from the ground, brushing the dirt from his clothing. He slid his revolver back into his clothes, and slowly walked into the distance, as if almost nothing had just transpired. That said, though, he was noticeably carrying another grenade in his hand; possibly a precaution should Ava decide to jump him?

I used to be a Servant like you... Until I took a bullet to the knee. |

Lifting Nicholas off the ground via her magecraft was about the maximum capacity of what Fafnir could achieve. Well, with a bullet stuck in her knee, that is. She tried to stand, yet quickly wobbled and dropped back down to the floor. It appeared as though it was quite difficult to walk when you've taken a magical bullet to the knee, and - oh dear, it looked like tears were already welling up in her bright orange, serpentine eyes. "Waaaaaah... Why does it hurt so much?! I thought pathetic human weaponry couldn't hurt servants! This isn't fair! How did I lose to some damned priest!"

It looked like the dragon was ready to throw another tantrum.

Vita began to pace back and forth, thinking over their options. Seven servants on both sides, so they had to have some allies. Even if some of them have already been taken out there had to be at least a few left. The question was how they could group up. Obviously the bad guys managed to do it, so they should be able to figure something out. Even if this incident would draw their attention they couldn't just chill and wait around for allies to show up. Especially since the enemy were already right there. So even if help did show up they'd be long gone, which wouldn't help. She largely ignored Rider's phone call, too wrapped up in her own pacing to give it any thought. She had to think of a plan, she was the 'Master' after all. If she couldn't even do that much why was she even there?

It wasn't until the young girl addressed her directly that she paused her pacing and looked over at her. "They? Who's they?" She glanced around in search of a hint as to who Rider was talking about but came up short. Thinking back on the conversation she had previously ignored, Rider did mention an escort. Regardless, while curious she'd have her answer soon enough so she instead opted to focus on the more pressing issue. "We need to figure out how to meet up with the other people on our side. Isn't there something we can do to track them down? We weren't given some kind of meeting point or fancy tracking watches or anything?" Seemed like a real dumb system to just drop them all across the planet with no way of finding one another, the world's a big place y'know.

Creep though he might be, that young man was certainly not without some good points. Taking matters into one's own hands, huh... The divine would grant opportunities, not goals, or perhaps it was us who fulfilled its goals through our actions in the service of that divine. On my own part, I certainly hoped they were watching. I wouldn't disappoint them, I wouldn't fail them. Not after being chosen, and given this new opportunity. I would make them all understand, take the advice to heart, unlike my master who despite my recommendation went and talked to the strange man, but also like my master who also understood the (possible) meaning of the man's advice and promised to live up to it. I nodded.

"And I shall likewise provide all the support I can to ensure our success master. It is quite as you said master, the future we desire, our future, it won't be reached unless we travel the road to reach it." Was that perhaps too euphemistic? Well, nomatter, he should be able to understand the meaning of what I said regardless. More importantly, it was time to go. I looked at the small status resting on my palms. There was a question in the back of my mind I couldn't quite get to, but at the same time I felt strangely motivated, my spirit felt inspired to take action like it hadn't been in so very long. We had been preparing for ages. Meanwhile, the holy grail war was already well on its way, our partners had already fought and we missed the fight. If we didn't act now, what were we even doing? We were trying to change the world, for god's sake! "Let us go, master. It is said that a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I couldn't help being disappointed in myself. It took me hours after we left for me to realize what question I had been sitting on, the rather crucial matter of my master appearantly "having been chosen" by that man, if the way he spoke had any truth to it. What it implied was faily obvious, that the man in question was in fact the keeper of darkness. Was he using some kind of magic to avoid us recognizing him? As much as I'd indeed truly to be able to believe as much, I still couln't help that feeling nagging me on the back of my head about it having been a result of my own incompetence. I'd have to work extra diligently from now on to make up for it.
"It is now complete." I observed the metal cabin of sorts, knocking on it like one would on wood, feeling it react to my mana. My understanding of machines like these was indeed too limited, but such a barrier could be overcome with time. I hoped.
"Master, it's time. The train is at our disposal. And if I may, I have a suggestion regarding a place in which we could stop. For we could, indeed, empty handed and late arrive at our allies or even enemy's doorstep, called out to them: I doubt we'd even incurr in the proper respect owed to a foe in combat. But should we have any accomplishments, then perhaps..."
Master of Darkness - Ryuga Tohsaka
Location: Garage next to the Tohsaka Mansion.
It had been a total of twenty minutes since they returned. Ryuga was gathering his blacksmithing tools, his many weapons he Forged himself, and some boxed rations. After putting his belongings and meals in the back of the train, he got out, and looked at Caster, who seemed to have some sort of idea in mind. "Whatever plan you may have, if it involves some sort of advantage over the enemy...."
He paused to think. While it is crucial they should go aid the other Servants of Darkness, there's the issue of the Dragon. Dragons are of course, some of the strongest creatures in many legends, such as the various Long dragons from Chinese mythology, or the Dragon Knight in arthurian legends. Who was that guy again? Ryuga had trouble remembering, but that guy had some admirable qualities, like fighting for all of England, when Arthur was on a conquest campaign to rule the continent.
Or something similar. He had trouble remembering for some reason. But regardless, Caster had brought up in interesting proposition.
"Alright. Lets hear it. Where is this place we will be heading to that may be of use?"
