Other Unpopular Opinions

While I don’t like him, one reason being because of the ridiculous conspiracy theories he puts forward, I don’t think Alex Jones should have been banned on the many social media platforms he was in such a short period of time.

Not sure if this is an extreme (which is why I find it unpopular), but here is another one.

If you falsely accuse someone of rape (and it is proven through evidence that it is indeed false), you deserve a jail sentence of a minimum of five years. But, a number of different factors/charges (including but not limited to falsification of evidence, perversion of the course of justice, libel charges) can make it longer. They also should be forced to make a public statement that they did indeed falsify the rape allegation, and the victim did not commit the crime.

Yes! I could not agree with this more!!

If we didn't have racial/sexual orientation/feminist issues. ....

Way more people would be Republicans.

not necessarily. even if we didn't have these modern day issues, i'd still be more aligned with the parties that were against the bigotry and unfairness that causes us to fight the racial/sexual orientation/feminist issues. if we didn't have them, there probably would be no political party. if would mean everyone agrees that we should be treated with respect and basic human rights.

But those are all social issues, and political parties focus on more than that. If bigotry wasn't a problem, we would still have parties since people wouldn't all have the same political and economical beliefs.

I disagree with you wholeheartedly on this one dva dva . Democrats and Liberalism historically have been worse for the poor and to minorities.

Republicans have a lot of great ideas that people ignore because they're blinded by social issues. They have flaws as well but the branding as the "Anti social justice " party makes people not even want to be bothered.

Alright to avoid the admins and moderators putting me in an uncomfortable position yet again and making me a thread I didn’t ask for, I’m gonna be short.
You’re completely wrong.
I’m a woman and what republicans have to say about me and my issues terrify me.
I’m not a democrat. I’m not a liberal.
If you’re talking about how in the civil war era, where Republicans and Democrats were basically the opposite of each other, then I don’t know how to express to you that I’m not interested in talking about how left-wing is better to minorities than right-wing. I agree, Democrats only care for minorities for publicity and brownie points.
Those in power really don’t care for minorities. Those minorities are not exclusive to racial minorities, women, or those who are not heterosexual; it also includes the working class and the people below the poverty line. It means regular people who have little to no say in government matters.
If we didn’t have racial discrimination, sexism, ageism, classism, power struggles between upper middle and lower middle class, prejudice against people who are not in the gender binary, poverty, and everything else you learn about in a community college’s basic sociology class, it would mean that we would have no discrepancies on how to treat a regular human being who is minding their own business trying to live in this world the only way they can. It would be the perfect world. No one suffers. No one feels the need to put someone else down to maintain the power they have in a society that relies on competition to survive day-to-day.

This being said, there would be 0 politics. Economy is sociological. So are basic defense discussions and executions. If we didn’t have sociological discrepancies, then we wouldn’t have any political discrepancies.

As a trans person, my most unpopular opinion is that all binders freaking suck. The ones that suck the least are from GC2B but they still messed up my ribs really badly and I now have breathing issues and chest pain because of them.

The only truly safe binding method is sports bras ?‍♀️

The way most people talk about false rape accusations is silly at best, and downright insulting at worst. Some people act as if every woman is just waiting for a chance for accuse an innocent man of raping her for no better reason than shits and giggles.

I’ve thought, yet again, of another two unpopular opinions.

1. AntiFa should be labeled as a domestic terrorist organization, and should be treated as one by law enforcement in the US.

2. The NRA & members (myself included) receive far too much flack for things that aren’t true.

If anyone wants to talk about my unpopular opinions and why you may agree/disagree with them in detail, PM me. As LennyTheMemeGod LennyTheMemeGod said in one of his earlier posts, it’s best that we try not to clutter this thread with people going at it back and forth with one another.

It's dangerous to dismiss every sort of speculation of the government and the media as a crazy conspiracy theory. We should be skeptical of the government and media. Yeah, there are some conspiracy theories, but we should also not blindly believe what we're being told.

Some others (lol haven't been on this thread since April)

Nickelback is good
Avril Lavigne is not dead what the hell
Peanut butter is kinda gross and smells weird
The LEGO movie, LEGO Batman movie, and LEGO NinjaGo movie were pretty good, not gonna lie
The Lemonade Mouth book is good; so is the movie, despite it not giving credit to the author

Marching band is a sport all its own

"Toxic masculinity" exists, but not in the way feminists like to say. Toxic masculinity exists in the same way that toxic femininity exists. There are toxic behaviors that are just more prevalent in men, as well as toxic behaviors that are more prevalent in women.
