They're fair questions, with the nature of the rp. You can't hope to get far without having a certain amount of dedication. If this ends up like my pokemon rp, we'll probably be on the starter island for a few weeks depending on my group's activity.

One piece roleplay: gm and dice thread

Be sure to read the op. It has the combat rules for the rp. As a rule of thumb, haki is dormant and not accessible for the blues. I encourage people to obtain devil fruits through foreshadowing and character development, but will allow it at the beginning if you work harder on your character sheet than others.

And pm me the answers to this question once you've submitted your character.

Choose a form of haki to focus on early on. You will submit these via pm to show me you've done everything on this list. It's important you let me know because things you do in the ic will be affected by your choice of haki. For someone who has kenbushoku haki, you will not be utilizing this power,but you might have a great affinity for marksmanship that goes beyond normal human limitations. Resulting in your character just sort of believing they're just talented, but to us we know it's because of their affinity with a certain form of haki. Likewise if yer like James bowie, where you can be shot and stabbed several times and still live to tell the tale, you've probably got an affinity for bushokou haki or the color of arms.

So pick one that's most likely the main focus for your character. Give me the context for at least 3 situations in which your innate affinity would help you out in every day life. Things like super accurate shot, or natural born leader, or super tough guy. Things of that nature. If you can't think of 3, at least try to think of one iconic talent that would spring from your dormant haki that makes your character extraordinary in some way.

My character stated that they were staying at the lighthouse for the night. If this for some reason is not allowed then I can easily change it to some other location on the island. I just thought that maybe the characters could explore the island a little, as a way of forming group connections and all that sappy, emotional stuff before heading out.

I haven't read it yet,but you're not obligated to just go to the stranger's home town just because he offered you a place to stay. Think of this in terms of real life sometimes. If I offered you a place to stay and we didn't know eachother better than we do currently, you're certainly not obligated to take me up on my offer. This applies to the mean looking samurai who's obviously trying not to lash out,but has a hard time keeping level headed. lol

All I want is for you guys to interact, nothing more and nothing less. Although I prefer more that's for sure. :3

Understood. Actually, that's pretty much exactly what I was thinking and thus I decided to (try to) encourage the characters to explore the island more. Of course the village is a solid option, but I felt like there could be some cool possibilities for encounters/events at the lighthouse. As always, just a thought.

In what way, are you gonna be laying the sauce on me? Because I can handle an anti social tantrum every now and again. LOLOL no no nothing like that. Just the revenge part. Have it were the pirate who kidnapped her was actually her father. Then she feels better and goes looking for the treasure hunters in her family for keeping it a secret and exiling him

Safe for the fact that you spoiled what could be a major part of your story that we could have explored as an arc down the line, I do believe revenge is a great way to develop a character. Certainly people are sick of it, but that's partially because it's all the same more or less. What should be explored from my point of view is the pent up anger and self destruction it entails. A sense of futility and lack of fulfullment in one's life as the avenger reflects on the people they didn't value enough in the past, just so this person could pursue an arbitrary vigilante justice that's dressed as actual justice.

Nah, the only time you need to roll for interacting with others is when the interaction is serious. So if you wanted to restrain jasper with coal because you do in fact, retain loyalty to the circus. Then yes you need to roll and make a request in the gm thread. But as long as you ask soda if it’s fine, then you don’t need to roll.

Because if he’s gonna resist in some way, then he has to roll vs your bunny.
