DanganronpaRE: Remember Me RP

Ryōka would've continued with his laughing fit had he not seen Mari separating herself from the group. Immediate concern washed over him as he felt compelled to follow her. Ryōka stepped out of the water without drying himself off, giving a quick smile to Yukino and the others before excusing himself. "Excuse me everyone, something has been brought to my attention. I will be returning shortly."

Ryoka did his best to keep up with Mari, she must've still been in shock from last night's happenings. And to think just a moment ago he had been laughing while she was in such pain. "Mari, wait!" He called, hoping she wasn't mad with him for being so happy in the presence of her despair. "Mari, I'd like to apologize if I've upset you. I shouldn't involve myself in such antics when you're clearly suffering." Ryoka went out to touch her shoulder without thinking, but he quickly withdrew it just as his fingers had brushed her. His stomach knotted in regret, how could he be foolish enough to make contact with her without her permission. "I'm sorry, someone like me has no right to touch someone as beautiful as you."

Stepping into the shadows casted by the trees, the girl didn't instantly stop as Ryoka called out to her. She fastened her paced, but soon came to a halt when Ryoka came dashing to her side, pausing for long before she finally turned to face Ryoka.

step0004-png.331058

The girl's dark violet eyes stared right into Ryoka's, the air around them was still, unperturbed by even the slightest tinge of noise, that was, until a faint yet crystal clear voice reached your ears.
"Ryoka......"
"You are a good person, just like all of the students here..."
"You are the only one, that's willing to treat me this way."
"......"

"It's hard...it's hard for me to-"
"But I can't be a selfish coward forever..."

"I want to be brave...and....."
"I want you to be brave too."

"Indulged in those unrealistic dreams, blinded by my feelings...I know I'll have to snap out of it eventually."

"......."
Mari lowered her head amid the silence that ensued. Slowly, Mari rose her head up and took a slow and long blink before she turned away Ryoka, facing away from that boy as she stared into the blank space like a lifeless doll.

step0004-png.331058

"Ryoka, You and Mari...they don't have much together, but Mari really do cherish everything she has with you."

"Mari really do."

"That's why, even at the end, she still couldn't say it, for she fears she would lose the one who she truly loves."
"Because she knows that she never deserves anything from you...so she desperately holds on to the false hope you gave her, even to be as foolish as to allow herself to be with you in the first place."
"She is just a worthless coward who begs for pity with tears for her entire life......"

"She is selfish and greedy, but......"
"I would like you to forgive her......"
"......"
"I would like you to remember her...the Mari you know, and truly cares about..."
"That's the only thing, Mari would ever want, so she decided to be selfish, for one last time."

"For once... she would like to be nothing but a girl, just a girl, a lovely... lovable girl."

"Promise me, you'll remember Mari as how she is, the Mari you know."
Mari turned around to face Ryoka once again midway through her sentence.
.
"You better remember her, do you hear me?"

The girl's pale lips soon curved into a smile, but that smile only masked the thoughts and unknown variables swirling in her mind.
Hiding behind that facade, Mari took a step away from Ryoka, before she turned around and walked away, disappearing into the darkness that extends from the heart of the forest.

"Minori Fuse..."
"Well, perhaps you are right...Hope and Despair did exist...hmph...but...that's not the point right?"
"For all we know......"
"What if there is no hope nor despair in this arena...what if there's nothing left for us? What if everything already ended before it started?"
"I wonder, what are we really fighting for? Knowing that this would be a fight that we could never win......"
"Just because there never is a 'Win' in this meaningless game......"
"To be completely honest with you...I don't have a clue either...hehe..."

"That girl...Jzh-...I mean... Yume......"
"She's...always like that...she looks like she knows what she wants, yet she doesn't."
"She's always talking about friendships, trusts, courage, hopes, dreams, miracles...tsk, all sort of that nonsense non-stop as if it's her religion...just like some cheesy protagonist who knows nothing but 'hope' and 'stuff'......"
"What a funny persona......"
"And you know what's funnier?"
"WE...US..."
"We play along with her and treat this so-called killing game like some sort of game that could be won by...'the power of friendship'."
"I feel stupid, but somehow...I am just...compelled...compelled to play along......"

"Are there really any meaning to our suffering?"
"I guess...I am just tired...tired of everything...tired of finding the meaning in the meaningless..."

"And look at you, Minori Fuse...completely unphased even when you think about the possibility of us being on a foreign 'planet', hehe......"
"Then again, that's not very different from our circumstances...since everything we know about the world we lived in never apply to our situation anyway......"

"Then again, that's not very different from our circumstances...since everything we know about the world we lived in never apply to our situation anyway......"

Minori listened patiently once more, before speaking again when he finished. "Well there could be a win, if we play our card right, and I think we are compelled to follow her my at least three things. One: Hope, hoping that she will get us out of here, and that her plan, whatever it may be, will work, Two: The fact that we have nothing better to do then to follow her, and Three: the chance to get closer to her so that they can easily murder her, and get out the Monokuma says." she says. "although honestly if we were really on a foreign planet, well, that would be the Coolest. Thing. Ever!" she finishes excitedly, aliens were cool, even if they did cut her open for experiments, still cool. Although she had always thought the whole 'power of friendship'-thing, was lame, after all friendship wasn't a physical thing. Well, it could be strong, but friendship can't overcome death, and it can't stop disease, or stop the blood pouring from someone's body. That's why it was dumb, especially if they wouldn't shut up about it, annoying!

step0004-png.331058

Mari, with her back turned on everyone, didn't react to Tsuzaki as she called her over. She only turned around halfway and glanced at Ryoka, her gaze stopped on the boy for a few second before she silently walked away from the group.
Her eyes, burning with determination and a tinge of melancholy, they weren't the same anymore, something within that girl changed.

Yukino eventually managed to right herself in a sitting fashion, cross-legged in fact. She managed to calm down herself. For a little, bit. She was still giggling a bit. Her smile still wide on her face She didn't even notice the fact that Mari didn't respond to her question. Not even when Mari left the area completely.

Ryōka kneaded the muddy ground in his hands, he couldn't show weakness now after everything he just said. He shot up from the water, his body (and his speedo) once again in full view. With his fists on his waist, he forced out a laugh that was much too obvious. "It could be worse, I could've changed into a banana hammock!" The thought of that was actually enough to make him laugh sincerely. He knew he would've been worse off if that had happened, but the idea was just too much. "Could you imagine? Me, in a thong?" Ryoka was nearly in tears now, any feelings of embarrassment had all but passed at this point to be replaced with jolliness.

She started to break out laughing again but somehow managed to remain upright. She was clutching her stomach hard. It was really just too funny for her. Couldn't maintain her facade. She might as well run with it. You know, he seemed to be quite a nice person actually. Not enough for her to trust him with herself but enough to just hang out with him.

Strange, she wouldn't have thought of that before this. Especially when she knew that he practically says scandalous words to girls casually. Maybe because he made her laugh like this. Something that had never happened since... well forever.

Her face showed surprise when he got out of the water - not because of his speedo. "Wait" Yukino pleaded as he ran away. "Where are yo-" she asked but she was too late when he disappeared into the trees. What has gotten into him? She got up. With a stumble. She steadied herself and ran after him. Not close enough for him to hear her actually but just enough distance to see what was happening.

Of course. Why would it be about anything else? His heart is only for Mari. The only person he actually really cares is her. It seems to be physically impossible for him to do so. Yukino hid behind a tree, her face facing the other way. Good thing she never fell in love with him. Not like Mari. Good for her. Right? She listened intently. Maybe it's natural if there's a bit of emotional pain. Normal in fact. Right?

Stepping into the shadows casted by the trees, the girl didn't instantly stop as Ryoka called out to her. She fastened her paced, but soon came to a halt when Ryoka came dashing to her side, pausing for long before she finally turned to face Ryoka.

She sensed a change in tone. Her hair stood up at the end. She never did like horror stories when she was younger(even now).

"......"

Of course he would. He actually cares about her. Nothing can sway his heart. What got in her mind when she wanted to break them up. She's a good girl. He's a good, somewhat questionable boy.

"It's hard...it's hard for me to-"
"But I can't be a selfish coward forever..."

Questions filled Yukino's mind. This is starting to get confusing.

"I want to be brave...and....."
"I want you to be brave too."

Okay, he might be an okay guy but he didn't have a speck of bravery with him. Hey, she was being honest.

"......."
Mari lowered her head amid the silence that ensued. Slowly, Mari rose her head up and took a slow and long blink before she turned away Ryoka, facing away from that boy as she stared into the blank space like a lifeless doll.

When it grew silent, Yukino decided to peek out of her tree. Mari seemed to be possessed. Her eyes are blank, no life within herself. Terrifying.

"Ryoka, You and Mari...they don't have much together, but Mari really do cherish everything she has with you."

Her mouth was wide open. She wanted to run but her feet were glued into place. She wanted to hear more. This is starting to get a bit interesting. She wanted to know more. Theory after theory. She tried to think. However, she was utterly scared at the same time. Maybe, Alex was right that there are ghosts.

"Mari really do."

Referring in the third person. Change in personality. She has MPD. Which made Yukino even more interested. She didn't really think of Mari as a threat before. But now, she was unsure.

God. If he exists. Is this what she thought about herself? She got closer to the couple.

"She is selfish and greedy, but......"
"I would like you to forgive her......"
"......"
\

No. This is a bit wrong. No. This is very wrong. Very very wrong.

"For once... she would like to be nothing but a girl, just a girl, a lovely... lovable girl."

"Promise me, you'll remember Mari as how she is, the Mari you know."
Mari turned around to face Ryoka once again midway through her sentence.

"You better remember her, do you hear me?"

This is unacceptable. She wanted to say something. Anything really. This will turn horrible.

The girl's pale lips soon curved into a smile, but that smile only masked the thoughts and unknown variables swirling in her mind.
Hiding behind that facade, Mari took a step away from Ryoka, before she turned around and walked away, disappearing into the darkness that extends from the heart of the forest.

"Wai-!" she called out, forgetting that she was hiding. Her hand was reaching out from the tree. For a split second, she stayed silent. Then, she booked it. Ran away. She ran all the way back to the lake, hoping, hoping with all her life that Ryouka didn't know.

"So, Dr. Koba, are you enjoying the crystal clear water?"

Mika glided her way out of the water and sat beside Koba, who was sitting beside the pond as he kicked the water aimlessly with his trusty skateboard placed beside him,

ko1.png
"Well, I guess it did wash away some worries and concerns......"
Koba muttered nonchalantly while watching the waves spread across the calm and clear water as he let the chilling sensation of the water slowly seeped into his skin from his submerged legs.

step0003-2-png.331059

"I am glad that you enjoyed this Dr. Koba, it-"
"......"
Upon noticing the subtle changes of Koba's faces, Mika paused.

"Is there...anything wrong?"

ko1.png
"Mika...well... you see....."
"I really appreciate your admiration on me...but......"
Koba drew his legs out of the water and sat beside the pond with his legs crossed while readjusting his posture.

"You can just...call me Koba...or even some dope skater names l-like, S-sparkling Moon Walkerer89, o-or Mac Cool Sandstorm Drifter101...w-well I wouldn't mind that!"

step0003-2-png.331059

"H-huh?"

"Um...Koba...so what's wrong about being a Ph.D. or a doctor?"
"That's an achievement to be proud of right?"
"I mean......"
"You are a doctor, right? Come on, how cool is that!"

ko1.png
"Hey!"
"I am a skater too, mate! So it's only natural for me to be treated like a pro skater, woo!"
Koba cut in, and sprung up on his legs, imagining that he could pull off a cool trick as he stomped on the skating board, expecting it to flew up right into his grip when it jetted off straight to his face instead, then falling back to the ground and stayed upside down.

"Ouch...right in the face......"

step0003-2-png.331059

"So...why are you doubting yourself?"

ko1.png
"W-woah, woah! W-wha- How-"

step0003-2-png.331059

"I am pretty good at reading people and listening to their inner voice, I guess...it's partially due to meditation."
"Hehe, or maybe it's because that I am always that close to the realm between life and death, I became a psychic eventually......"

ko1.png
"......"

"The truth is...I had been thinking about resigning....."

step0003-2-png.331059

"W-what?!!! You can't be serious right!? W-what are you talking about...Koba, you are the SHSL Cytologist, you are basically one of the most talented person around the world in the medical field, the world...needs you."
"P-please tell me you are not being serious on this......"

"You are a great, great, excellent cytologist, there's no reason for you to...doubt yourself right?"
"Koba, if there's anything-"

ko1.png
"......"
"No, I failed."
"I am a failure as a doctor."
"I killed my brother, is that reason enough for you, Mika?"

It was almost as if time had stopped for a split second and the color of the world faded, the cheerful atmosphere around them instantly vanished, as if an ominous black cloud loomed right above of them.

step0003-2-png.331059

"......"

"Koba, in my eyes, you are the coolest, most awesome person I have ever see..."
"Not just because you can skate...or your one of a kind fashion taste......"
"But it's because you are a life saver of thousands and thousands of people in despair, tormented by the curse that they bear......"
"You are like a...superhero to me, and I had always dreamed of seeing you in person and present my sincere appreciation to you for saving my life."
"So now that I am here, sitting right beside of you, I want to let you how much I want to thank you for giving me a second life that I swore to treasure."

"I......."
"I am the testimony of your heroism."
"I am here, so as the patient you saved all around the world, you don't have a single reason to doubt yourself, just because-"

ko1.png
"I don't want to listen to your...complicated philosophy...and lines and lines reasoning...and all of that..."

"I can't...I can't ..."
"I can't even cure him, for some reason...even if I am "talented", even if I have "endless potential"......"
"I can't save him......"
"I wonder why? I wonder......"

An invisible void of darkness grew as it fed of from Koba's gloom that was radiating from him, that void grew bigger and bigger as it slowly swallowed the world around Koba.

"My parents......"
"They say I did that on purpose...they say I killed him......"
"Hmph....and maybe I did, maybe I did kill him because of jealousy......"
"I am not a hero...and maybe I am not a good person like you expect me to be...at all......"
"Maybe I did kill him because no matter what I do-"

An impact on his cheek sent Koba's face turned to aside, a burning pain on his cheek pulled Koba back to reality, he squinted his eyes as the pain slowly set in, he put a palm on his cheek that was glowing in redness.

ko1.png
"M-mika......"
The boy turned and saw Mika, with rage burning in her watery eyes. Her gaze bored right into Koba.

step0003-2-png.331059

"Did it hurt?"

"Now, remember that pain...and deal with it......"
"Like everyone of us...here...right now, at this very moment......"
"It's as simple as that."

"Koba, you are not just...any cytologist, you are an Ultimate, for a reason."
"I...I......"
"I don't want to see you like this......"

"I don't care if you are a killer or not...I don't need to know if that's true or not..."
"You saved me, and you will save many people in the future too, that's what I know."
"They are countless people around the world, waiting for you to save them......"

"So after we get out of this place...don't stop! Don't you ever give up, go create miracles, go save the people in need!"
"...And remember that you are an Ultimate, nothing can stop you."

ko1.png
"......"
"M-mika...I......"

"E-excuse me...t-toilet......"
The boy stuttered and ran off to the toilet while carrying his skate board, trying to cover his face as he pulled down his cap, vanishing from the scene almost instantly.

"For once... she would like to be nothing but a girl, just a girl, a lovely... lovable girl."
He wanted to tell her that she wasn't a coward, that she wasn't selfish or greedy. He wanted to say something, anything, but the words just wouldn't come out. Ryoka found himself paralyzed, unable to move or speak. All he could do was watch as Mari slandered herself with such heinous lies. Watching her debase herself like that was enough to bring him to tears, his body was shaking as sadness and anger took hold of his body. The only sounds he could muster as she spoke were whimpers and grunts. His helplessness made him want to scream, but even that was beyond his reach.

Why was she telling him all this now? She should've known that she could always come to him with her troubles. What he wouldn't have given to walk up to her and embrace her, to tell her that she was wrong.

What was she talking about? What did she mean by 'remember her?' It wasn't until Mari started to walk away that Ryoka regained his control of his body. He was going to tell her to wait but it seemed someone had beaten him to it.
"Wai-!" she called out, forgetting that she was hiding. Her hand was reaching out from the tree. For a split second, she stayed silent. Then, she booked it. Ran away. She ran all the way back to the lake, hoping, hoping with all her life that Ryouka didn't know.
Ryoka turned around to face whoever was there, but all he saw was a figure running back towards the lake. While he couldn't make out what they looked like, he thought he recognized their voice. Ryoka wiped the tears from his face and slowly made his way to the lake. During the time it took him to get there Ryoka tried to better understand Mari's words. However, he just didn't get it at all. The next time he saw her, he'd have to talk with her a bit more. Next time, he wouldn't allow himself to get stiff like he had back there.

When Ryoka did return to the lake, he seemed a bit out of it, but it wasn't apparent what he had been doing. "I'm back everyone, I just had some things I needed to do for later tonight. He tried to put on a smile as he looked to Julian, who had been hanging out with the sheep boy Hitsuji. "And don't think I've forgotten. Before the day ends I want to see you in my room for your haircut. If I found out you've avoided it I won't hesitate to hold you down and shave you bald." His eyes wandered over to Yukino for some reason, and his gaze stayed fixed on her for a few seconds although he couldn't explain why. "Well, enough about me. Let's get back to the fun now, shall we?"

Cosmic_Chaos Cosmic_Chaos

Yukino was sitting next to the pool, kicking her feet into the water like she was doing nothing. Her face was bland but you could make out sweat on her fore head. She turned around to Ryouka when he came back from the forest. For a second, she stared back at Ryouka. Then , quickly, she looked down into the clear blue water. She pretended to look embarrassed.

"May you please stop staring at me, Ryouka?" she said in her most convincing tone she could manage. She didn't turn her head when she asked that. She played around her mind on what was going to happen. But she didn't quite expect him to take Mari's escape so kindly. Didn't he consider that Mari just ran off to the woods when it was very clear that she jumped off the deep end? She's going to kill herself in the wilderness. And he's going to act like nothing has happened. Or, he trusts Mari a bit too much.

However, she then thought of it a bit differently. Her splashes became more mild. This would be for the greater good of the group. Mari has shown to be quite insane, having a split personality. There's no telling what is going to happen if they found her and brought her back. Maybe he's hiding it because they are probably going to tie up Mari.

Her death would be even more important as it seems that Monokuma gifts whole areas for them to explore after people's deaths. She came to that conclusion after this whole area was only opened after the last murder.

Bodies for new areas. Sounds morbid. But it is for the greater good so Yukino should stay silent. She zipped off her mouth and continued to kick into the pool.

But, she asked herself whether that would be the right thing to do. Condemning a fellow person to their death. She shuddered to think. It's not right. Definitely not. It would be selfish and it just seemed wrong. Who cares if logic says that is the best choice? Her disappearance was worrying. Her death would be more so. She doesn't deserve that fate. It just seems wrong

Wouldn't Ryouka dislike her more if she told everyone the truth though? She asked herself again as she pulled herself out of the lake, looking at the others. Of course he would. She was eavesdropping on his conversation with Mari. She didn't have a right to know something so personal. It would be understandable. Before this, she was holding him to even higher standards.

"Where's Mari?" she tested at Ryouka while staring straight at him. "I swear I called her just now but she didn't came."she feigned ignorance while crossing her arms. "Where is she?" GinkyGotBack GinkyGotBack Dreamtique Dreamtique

"Where's Mari?" she tested at Ryouka while staring straight at him. "I swear I called her just now but she didn't came."she feigned ignorance while crossing her arms. "Where is she?"
Ryōka scratched at his cheek idly with his index finger, avoiding eye contact with Yukino as per her request. "Yes, well, in truth the 'business' I had to attend to was in fact Lady Mari herself." It wasn't like Ms. Yukino had ever shown any interest in anyone before, let alone Lady Mari. Why now of all times was she starting to care? "You see, Lady Mari hasn't been quite herself since Lady Ayaka's execution. She's been rather distant and even more introverted than usual. When I saw her walking away from the lake I felt concern for her well being and decided to follow her." So far Ryōka had been speaking truthfully, but now came the hard part. Lying.

Ryoka had no moral problems with lying. He believed that in certain situations lying could be more helpful than hurtful as opposed to telling the truth. This was one of those cases. If anyone had discovered what had transpired between him and her, there was no telling how the others would treat Mari. The last thing he wanted was for anyone to see her in the same way that she saw herself.

"When I caught up to her.. She told me that she wasn't feeling well. Her stomach was quite upset, perhaps from something she ate. Of course, I'm not implying it was your salad Lady Mika! Your salad was undoubtedly divine!" What Ryōka found hard about lying was that somehow people always seemed to know. Regardless of how he worded his lies or how insignificant his fibs seemed his Father and his servants would know he was lying one way or another. Perhaps, he thought, he was such an honest person that when he did tell a lie it was visibly apparent?

"After that, Lady Mari told me she would be retiring to her room for the rest of the day." Ryōka looked down to the ground, wondering if there was anything he could've done to help before she ran off on her own. There was regret and a profound sadness in his eyes and he dared not look anywhere but at his feet. "I wish I could've gone with her, but she made it quite clear that she wanted to be left alone for now."

The roaring of engine filled the air when a giant shadow overcast the lake, the tree around started to rustle as dust flies in the air when the ominous gigantic hovering object came into sight.

20160725034722a0egvcarv6msa0yf.jpg

The hovering airship started lowering on the lake as the roaring of the engine dies down like a chaotic cadence. As the boat sunk into the lake, a wave of water propagated out and splashed around the shore, while the boat slowly came to a stop as it settled down on the surface of the lake calmly with the damping of its periodic shaking.

It seemed like a pirate boat, a flying pirate boat to be precise, which is now resting on the middle of the lake, a few meter away from your reach.

monosp.png
"Ayyye!!! Gather around, brave adventurers! It's your friendly, totally not evil, favorite pirate king, Monooooo~kuma!"
Lord Monokuma, now dressed and attempting to speak like a pirate, yelled from the head of the boat, before he leaped down to the land, he barely managed to balance its chubby body to prevent a total embarrassment.

Soon, a few Monopawns dressed in blue striped shirt, worn out vest and a silly black bandana on their head could be seen running around the deck and leaped down from the boat one by one, forming orderly queues behind Monokuma, while some of them scurried around with a pirate sword in their hand to search for the students, guiding them to Monokuma for his upcoming speech.

Eventually, guided by the lil' pirate Monopawns, all the students were gathered around the lake, all except for Mari.
Upon the arrival of most of the students, Monokuma cleared his throat before he began his speech.
"Eerrr! How are ya'll du'in fellow adventurers!!!"
"Upupupu! It sure is a wonderful day, ya?"
"A wonderful, perfect day to go on an adventure! And to spill some blood, of course!"

step0002-jpg.289020

"What do you want?"

monosp.png
"Hey, don't give me that look, Miss Yume, I might prick your cheek with my tiny pirate hook if you enraged me!"
"Don't be like this, it will be fun and exciting......"
"Well, for me, at least."

"Now, now, I got some pretty exciting new for you all!"
"Now let's build up the tension, shall we?"
"Hng......Hng........"
"Hng......Hng......"
"Drum roll, please......"

monosp.png
"Silence! Don't interrupt me like that! How rude!"
"......"
"Damn it, what was I going to say again?"
"Oh right! The forgotten treasures in this whimsical forest!"

step0002-7-jpg.289022

"Forgotten treasure huh, sounds pretty interesting to me. That is, the concept of 'forgotten' per say."

monosp.png
"Yes, yes! Trust me on this one, it's pret-ty interesting indeed!"
"Think about what all these treasures mean to all of you, they are all priceless and valuable in their own way, say may even say that it's the most precious kind of 'treasure' ever known to man, that's irreplaceable by golds and diamonds......"

step0002-5-jpg.289024

"Whaaaat? So there's no gold OR diamond? What a bummer......"
"Laaame."
"Why do we have to always roleplay anyway...can't we just be ourself? First, it's students of Dreamer's Path Academy...and now all of a sudden we are adventurers......"

monosp.png
"Stop complaining, you lowly peasant!"
"Go stuff some weed in your mouth and listen."

"Well......"
"I am sure all of you would be interested in said 'treasure', yes, don' question it, I am ignoring your opinion, because I am not even gonna pretend that I care like a candidate in president election."

"So...Adventures!!! Are you ready for a Treasure Hunt!!!"

step0002-jpg.289020

"Treasure...Hunt?"

monosp.png
"Yes! You hear it right! A Treasure Hunt, one filled with excitement and stimulations!"

"You are all now officially tasked to hunt down all the treasures!!!"
"Oh well, except for my dear Kasumi...you are going to help me clean the castle today."
"Now go do your work, okay?"

"Monopawns, go."
As soon as Monokuma commanded, a group of two Monopaws soon sprung to life and marched to lead Kasumi away from the group.

step0002-6-jpg.289023

"H-huh? W-wait..."

monosp.png
"By the way, Kasumi, you are forbidden to participate or enter this area for as long as the Treasure Hunt is in session."
"Remember, rule breaking is a big, no no."

"Now go, my fellow adventurers, there's no time to lose...quite~literally!"
"You have...around 24 hours......"

Monokuma then threw out a map to the students, presumably, a treasure map.
As you opened the map, you were perplexed to see red crosses covered the whole map, it's almost like it was just some doodle scribbled randomly on the map.

step0002-jpg.289020

"What is this?" Yume took a look at the map in her hand and questioned in puzzlement.

monosp.png
"It's a treasure map, Einstein."

step0002-jpg.289020

"No, what IS this? This is not how a treasure map should look like at all."
"This is basically...pointless......"

monosp.png
"Wow, that hurt my feeling, I went through all of the trouble to cross out every single point of interest on the map for you after all......"
"There are all kinds of treasure around this magical place, and as I mentioned, all of them are valuable and unique in their own way, so you sure wouldn't want to miss any of them."

step0002-jpg.289020

"This can't be *just* a Treasure Hunt isn't it? You are hiding something......"

monosp.png
"Oh yeah, you are right Yume. In fact, I am hiding *many* things all around this place, upupupu."

"Like......"

"You know, my jar of cookies, my pet rock, a pair of sunglasses, a rubber stamp, a box of tissues, a bottle of pills, a box of markers, a bottle of oil, a pair of water goggles, a keychain, a comic book, a handful of change, a lighter, a box of baking soda, a knife, a rope, a fishing string, a hook, a syringe, a pillow, a key chain, a bottle of pentobarbital, a plastic box, a bottle of ethanol, a bottle of cyanide, a can of beans, a grappling hook, a ninja star, an erotic magazine, a credit card, a chain, a bar of soap, a toilet paper tube, a box of tissues, a belt, a bouquet of flowers, a Monokuma plushie, a toy plane, a bottle of paint, a bottle of nail polish, a quartz crystal, a crystal ball, a magic wand, a whip, a game CD, an acorn, a glass plane, a saw, a hot glue gun, a bottle of adhesive, a bottle of nicotine, a bottle of tetrodotoxin, a bottle of sedative, a bottle of chloroform, a bottle of honey, a paper crane, a flower, a hat, a snail shell, a soccer ball, a ball of yarn, cosmetics, a clock, an orange, an apple, a pie, a mouldy cheese, a damp handkerchief, a mouth mask, a wallet, a spool of wire, a pinecone, a copy of your lost memory, a packet of seeds, a bottle of glue, a container of pudding, a microphone, a bottle of lotion, a toy boat, a balloon, a bottle of perfume, a plate, a plush dinosaur, a tea pot, a tennis ball, a shopping bag, a whistle, a recorder, a video tape, a cell phone, a mannequin, a gun, a sling shot, a volley ball, a ping pong ball, a plate, a comb, a toy soldier, a love novel about hot vampires, time bombs, a toy soldier, a plate, a body pillow, a picture of me in thong......"

step0002-jpg.289020

"W-wait! Stop!"

monosp.png
"What? You wanna see that picture of me in a thong right away?"

step0002-jpg.289020

"No...about what you said......"

monosp.png
"Oh, you want me to start from the very beginning? Okay, my jar of cookies, my pet rock, a pair of sunglasses......"

step0002-jpg.289020

"No...not that!!!"

"Did you just...mentioned... time bombs?

monosp.png
"Oh, did I?"
"I guess you'll just have to find out...after 24 hours......"
"Upupupu......"
The Monopawns rushed over to Monokuma and lifted him up before they form a ladder with their body like trained circus performer and make way for Monokuma to aboard the flying pirate ship. Monokuma soon vanished from the students' sight, hiding in his pirate ship.

Monokuma disappeared just like that after announcing the beginning of a Treasure Hunt, leaving the students hanging without a clear explanation of their circumstances, but it's clear, it's clear that whenever Monokuma show up, something will bound to go wrong, very wrong.

Julian was in a nice, peaceful silence with Hitsuji, when Ryoka mentioned him and his haircut. the threat to make him bald made him whine, his hand going to his head as if to shield his hair from Ryoka, or, anyone. "Y-yeah, okay. As long as I don't look weird at the end of it...." Julian muttered. He liked his long hair, even though it got messy... A lot... All the time... Wasn't his fault he didn't have any extra hairbands. Julian sighed, as he continued to stare out into the distance. He did, however, come out of it, when Monokuma as a pirate came out of nowhere.

A treasure hunt? He wasn't too bad at those kind of games. Julian got up, and attempted to ask Monokuma before he left, but he was gone before he could get the words out.
"So, we're looking for all of the things he mentioned?" He asked, clarifying. But then he asked another question. "Uhm... Does anyone even remember half of what he said?" He then asked. "I could only remember a few things, and most of them were stuff that could subdue or hurt people. Like cyanide is a poison, and Chloroform knocks people out. Though he mentioned Sedative and Cloroform.. I thought they were the same thing....?" He muttered confused at the end. "I'm, uhm... Not bad at looking for obscure things, but if something is in plain sight, I'm useless." Julian admitted. That had always been a thing. He'd miss things in plain sight, but an object hidden in/behind something, he found it immediately.

"Either way, splitting up into small groups may help cover more ground. And lets be careful, lest you hurt yourself..."
Julian warned. He worried for everyone's safety in all honesty. "If we're going to go into groups or pairs. And if we know who was with who, then if anyone gets hurt, then we know who it'll be." Julian rationalised. "Maybe we should write the pairings down?" He suggested, then he realised that he was rambling. "S-Sorry... I'm rambling... I'll shut up now..." He said, looking down at the floor embarrassed.

Yukino examined Ryouka quite carefully to see all of his flinches, twitches. Her eyes narrowed

Lying.

Now is the moment of truth for Ryouka, Yukino thought. She would never quite see him the same if he lied. Nothing is as great as the truth. That's what her father used to say. At the very least, before he lost it all, he lost his power. He didn't quite become the same man since. She missed him. "The truth, no matter how dangerous, terrifying or embarrassing, has to be told. Lies are an evil," he used to say. They misguide people, trick them to make the wrong decisions. The past has shown that bad choices have grave consequences. Futures have been destroyed by lies. Surely, an honorable person like Ryouka wouldn't do such a thing.

Of course, she was immediately disappointed. She was not angry, more sad than anything. Her face fell into a slight frown. She was almost shaking her head. Oh, Ryouka. How careless of you. Do you not really care about her? Or, maybe, he cares about her too much. He couldn't handle the thought of how they are going to capture Mari as a result. But this is for her own good! Why can't he see it? She limped her hands to her sides.

This barefaced lie needs to be shot down quickly. She put a hand on Ryouka's shoulders, her eyes full of a sorrow sort of determination. She started, "You kn-"

The roaring of engine filled the air when a giant shadow overcast the lake, the tree around started to rustle as dust flies in the air when the ominous gigantic hovering object came into sight.

"Impossible," she said when she was interrupted. Her hand covered her face as the wind blew all over them. Her short hair going all over the place.

The wave hit her directly in the stomach. She fell backward. It felt a little bit like a sucker punch. Air was knocked out of her lungs. Somehow, she managed to balance herself with her hands but only slightly. She coughed violently as she tried getting off of her knees. Her body was wet. She couldn't see that clearly so she tried to blink the water out of her eyes. She hacked her cough more rapidly. When her sight became clear, she saw...

It seemed like a pirate boat, a flying pirate boat to be precise, which is now resting on the middle of the lake, a few meter away from your reach.

Alright? A flying pirate ship. This is something weird and doesn't make sense. There was only one person who could do this.

monosp-png.336156

"Eerrr! How are ya'll du'in fellow adventurers!!!"
"Upupupu! It sure is a wonderful day, ya?"
"A wonderful, perfect day to go on an adventure! And to spill some blood, of course!"

She was not surprised. She righted herself after a minute of sizing up the situation. Her gait was a bit unsteady but she didn't receive any permanent injuries. The most that Monokuma could do was to cause her trauma from ever going swimming but that doesn't matter. "Right, it's you buffoons." And with that, she forgot about Mari.

step0002-jpg.289020

"......"
"What do you want?"

monosp-png.336156

"Hey, don't give me that look, Miss Yume, I might prick your cheek with my tiny pirate hook if you enraged me!"
"Don't be like this, it will be fun and exciting......"
"Well, for me, at least."

She physically scoffed and rolled her eyes. This was just another one of his Byzantine schemes to get them violently stab each other. There's no other reason why.

"Now, now, I got some pretty exciting new for you all!"
"Now let's build up the tension, shall we?"
"Hng......Hng........"
"Hng......Hng......"
"Drum roll, please......"

She had to cross her arms at this ridiculousness.

step0002-jpg.289020

monosp-png.336156

"Laaame."
"Why do we have to always roleplay anyway...can't we just be ourself? First, it's students of Dreamer's Path Academy...and now all of a sudden we are adventurers......"

She was so rudely interrupted by Monokuma but she became interested in the 'hidden treasures'. He could have meant anything but it sounded important. Her ears perked up. But she couldn't hear it because of Hitsuji's immature mumbling. "Shut up, Hitsuji!"

monosp-png.336156

"Stop complaining, you lowly peasant!"
"Go stuff some weed in your mouth and listen."

"Well......"
"I am sure all of you would be interested in said 'treasure', yes, don' question it, I am ignoring your opinion, because I am not even gonna pretend that I care like a candidate in president election."

"So...Adventures!!! Are you ready for a Treasure Hunt!!!"

Finally, something that she and Monokuma could agree on. Moreover, that reference. The mentioning of the presidential election reminded her of that weird election way back when where the first orange man became president and he became president because he memed to the top. It was a strange election. It was nice to see that Monokuma was honest, despite the horrible, horrible things he is making them do. Not.

step0002-jpg.289020

"Treasure...Hunt?"

monosp-png.336156

"Yes! You hear it right! A Treasure Hunt, one filled with excitement and stimulations!"

As soon as Monokuma commanded, a group of two Monopaws soon sprung to life and marched to lead Kasumi away from the group.

She objected. "Why him though?"

step0002-6-jpg.289023

"H-huh? W-wait..."

monosp-png.336156

"By the way, Kasumi, you are forbidden to participate or enter this area for as long as the Treasure Hunt is in session."
"Remember, rule breaking is a big, no no."

"Now go, my fellow adventurers, there's no time to lose...quite~literally!"
"You have...around 24 hours......"

Oh, wait. He would probably find everything in like 5 minutes because of his ability. This was the obvious action for Monokuma. Separating Kasumi would make it easier for Monokuma to confuse them. It was a shame though. She noted his departure for now. It might be important for the inevitable case later. She could tell there will be blood.

step0002-jpg.289020

"What is this?" Yume took a look at the map in her hand and questioned in puzzlement.

monosp-png.336156

"It's a treasure map, Einstein."

She walked close to Yume and looked over her shoulder. It was horrendous, a childish drawing that was made by washing colours in a washing machine and that child was blind. Even abstract artists would denounce that drawing.

step0002-jpg.289020

"No, what IS this? This is not how a treasure map should look like at all."
"This is basically...pointless......"

monosp-png.336156

"There are all kinds of treasure around this magical place, and as I mentioned, all of them are valuable and unique in their own way, so you sure wouldn't want to miss any of them."

"Sorry, but how?" she began to question. "This map tells nothing! It's worthless."

step0002-jpg.289020

"This can't be *just* a Treasure Hunt isn't it? You are hiding something......"

monosp-png.336156

"Oh yeah, you are right Yume. In fact, I am hiding *many* things all around this place, upupupu."

Alright. This is a ridiculousness that is too much for her to handle. This must be a dream. Yes, probably. She wanted to turn Monokuma's wall-text when she heard the only thing that interested her.

a copy of your lost memory

A copy of your lost memory. A copy of your last memory? A copy of your last memory. A copy of your last memory. COPY OF YOUR LOST MEMORY. She could hardly believe it. Her mouth fell to the floor. He must be kidding, right? Right? No. For some reason, she knew that Monokuma was telling the truth.

step0002-jpg.289020

"W-wait! Stop!"

monosp-png.336156

"What? You wanna see that picture of me in a thong right away?"

step0002-jpg.289020

step0002-jpg.289020

"No...not that!!!"

"Did you just...mentioned... time bombs?

Her lower jaw dropped even further. Fear spiked into her heart. It can't be possible. Monokuma couldn't be serious.

monosp-png.336156

"Oh, did I?"
"I guess you'll just have to find out...after 24 hours......"
"Upupupu......"

Soooo....What now? A possibility of death for all of them.A possibility of truth. This overwhelmed her. She seemed a bit lost. But she hardened her face to hide her emotions. She can't show any weakness right now. It will make her a prime target. Then, she noticed her disheveled hair. Quickly, she combed her hair until it became tidy again.

He suggested, then he realised that he was rambling. "S-Sorry... I'm rambling... I'll shut up now..." He said, looking down at the floor embarrassed.

"...." she looked sternly at Julian. A minute of silence passed. "Yes, that seemed like the appropriate manner. We need to cover as much space as possible. Considering that there are time bombs, possibly. We need to also avoid pointless deaths. "

"But didn't you hear?"
she turned to the rest of them. "Monokuma. He said that he was hiding a copy of our memories." her face brighten up " If what he said was true...The significance of this cannot be overstated. You know what is going to happen if we found our memories? I-I don't know."She spread her hands to symbolise the possibilities.

"Well, I'm all for finding our lost memories. If anyone happens to find Lady Mari's please let me know, I'm sure it would make her feel better knowing they'll be returned to her." This all reminded him of Easter back at home, when his father and the servants would hide eggs all around the island for him to find. It was funny, Ryōka could remember so many things about his past that it made him wonder if he really had any lost memories.

"I'd like to volunteer Ms. Yukino and I as a pair! With my all-seeing eyes and her logical deduction, we'll make short work of finding those "treasures!" Truthfully, Ryōka did have a good eyes, the way he saw it there was no difference between finding an Easter egg or the right haircut. Ryōka eyed her possible partner, she had been watching him warily ever since he returned from the forest. Hopefully she would tell him about her suspicions while they were out looking for memories and bombs. "That is, if she will accept my offer to pair up."

Ah! That reminded Yukino. Mari. Seriously, these distractions were very annoying. Most of the distractions were from Monokuma so that is why. They needed to find Mari, quickly. But it did make her question why he himself commit an error so early. He just said that Mari was in her room, didn't he? Just a few minutes ago. It was absolutely obvious that he was lying, to anyone who was paying attention. Yukino didn't need to reveal that she was eavesdropping at all. She just needed to point out that grave contradiction.

Her mouth was open but no words came out. She had to admit though, it was a bit odd. Suspicions played in her mind. She suspected something was wrong. Surely, Ryouka wouldn't be so stupid. He wouldn't do something so stupid. At least, that's what she thought. She hesitated for a minute.

She blinked her eyes. That came as a surprise for her. She straightened her posture, suddenly becoming self-conscious. Her? But she didn't treat him well before. That made her suspicious but a small voice in her head wanted to trust Ryouka. She wanted to go with Ryouka, spend time and ask for forgiveness for before. She wanted to know him more, she found.

But what about Mari? Her logical self snapped back. Mari is going to kill herself in those woods. There's no telling what's going to happen when she is that insane. Especially the fact that no one else knows what is in the jungle. Could be snakes or sand pits or (because Monokuma probably made that jungle) giant death machines.

She was split. She felt that she could just let Mari in the woods. There's no harm in doing so. She's probably fine, her emotions reasoned. And what if she dies a horrible, horrible death? The world is survival of the fittest. If she dies because of her actions, then that is a good thing. That means she was weak and that's one less person to backstab her later. She doesn't care about Mari at all. She doesn't know her. Why care?

Her logic, no, her unselfish self said it was wrong. Right and wrong. A concept she has never touched. Well, she did when she was younger but that lesson was pointless, at least that was what she felt back then.

"I would, if only you told the truth, Ryouka." she told Ryouka, her eyes staring into his. She then raised her voice.

"Mari," she muttered as she looked at the ground. "Do not lie, Ryouka. Mari's not in her room right? If she is, why did you say, 'if we find her'?" She pointed an outstretched finger at Ryouka. Her face frowning. It is clear she disapproves of his actions. Her eyes tried to tell everything she felt right now to Ryouka.

"Ryouka. Don't lie to us. Don't lie to me. Don't lie for Mari. Tell the truth. The absolute truth and only the truth. The bitter truth."

Ryōka panicked internally for a moment, thinking to himself how she could've possibly known he was lying. Then it hit him, Yukino had been listening in on him and Mari. That was why she had been acting so strangely with him. Ryōka was about to instinctively bite his lip out of anxiety when he realized something.

"Ms. Yukino, forgive me for saying so but you are much too quick to point fingers." His expression gave the impression of someone who's cool and collected, like someone who had nothing to hide. A single brow was raised in confusion and just a smidge of contempt. "Just what lie are you accusing me of telling? If you had been listening you would know that I said if we find hers. As in her memories." His face hardened into an angry frown, his brow furrowed with annoyance. "You had led me to believe you were a good listener. I suppose now I was wrong to assume that." Ryōka would say, his own way of discreetly letting her know that he knew what she had done. He could see the disappointment and sadness in her eyes, and his showed likewise.

"I've changed my mind, after this incident I'm not sure the two of us together could stay focused on the task at hand." Ryōka shook his head and looked at Julian. Someone as shy as him wouldn't dare to ask him about what happened. At least, that was what he was hoping. "I'd like to go with Julian if that's quite alright with him. He's proven himself to be very perceptive, as well as an innovative thinker during the investigation and the trial."

Julian was fine to go with whoever. He was used to being picked last, and didn't mind it. He supposed he kind of.. Adapted to peoples personalities, and stayed quiet most of the time. He let himself go into his own world, almost muting everyone. Here, he almost sort of slept, but awake. His eyes were open, but he wasn't exactly there. He was sat at the side of the pool, almost curled up since everyone was talking, and no one seemed to want to bother him. He felt safe in this position. However, he snapped out of his small trance when Someone, Ryoka, said his name. he had to quickly figure out the situation.

He looked at Ryoka and went red slightly. He knew he acted out of his usual 'quiet persona' but he couldn't help it. And he would rather no one mentioned it. It just made him feel self-conscious. He smiled nodding.
"I should be of some use. Glasses help me see better after all." He said. Though if he lost them, he'd be blind as a bat... Well, hopefully nothing happened. He got up and smiled shyly. "I'm fine with going with anyone really." Julian shrugged slightly. "I'm not perceptive per-sey, but I am a logical thinker. I see the logistics, and correct things if they don't make logical sense to me. I'm not sure how else that's helpful other than investigating..." He said shyly. "I kind of... Piece together the large puzzle pieces, I guess. And make theories. But I'm not 100% right all the time." Julian added, a bit embarrassed. Maybe he should just stop speaking now.

"Fine. I will tell the truth. I did spy on you, Ryouka! And Mari..." she shouted suddenly, over Ryouka's voice. Yes. She slipped up. She misheard (or is that misread?) what Ryouka heard but she didn't care. Human fallacy, curse you, but it won't take her will to reveal the truth. She was determined. She has made mistakes before but she has always never lost the spirit. Maybe that was why she never had close friends, because she would never admit a point but that didn't matter.

"I saw. She became mad, started talking about herself in third-person and ran off into the jungle." She stood steady and talked firmly. She made sure every single person heard her. Secretly, her throat was starting to hurt but she didn't care. This is about Mari. She's doing it for her good. Ryouka. He needs to see what he's doing is wrong. Lies. She could never stand them. Even worse, that lie was irresponsible. There will be blood because of that lie. Her face remained calm.

She took a step closer to Ryouka, her eyes trying to pierce
"I saw it with my own two eyes. She's not in her room. We are going to find herself killed in the woods. I am disappointed that you lied. It shouldn't have been like that." Her voice was getting noticeably louder. A mixture of sadness and anger crept into her voice. She hoped no one could hear that. That would scar her reputation.

"Yes, we will probably constrain her but that is for her own good." she reasoned.

"We need to consider sending a search party for her. Now."

Alex sighed. Yukino was freaking out, and it looked like no one else seemed to know what was going on. She sighed again, walking up to Yukino, gently, but firmly, grabbing her Tukino's arm. "Yukino. Calm down please. If you would calm down and listen, then you would understand." She said firmly. "Ryoka didn't Say anything about Mari being in her room. He did say, however, that
If anyone happened to find Maris Memories, then to let him know. They are close after all, so it is understandable.."
Alex explained. She was in front of Yukino at this point and hand both of her hands on he arms, gentle, yet firm.

"You are one of the more level-headed people here. We do not need you to have a freak out." She said calmly, letting Yukino go, before turning to the rest of the group. "Besides, we should probably start looking for the Hidden Treasures that Monokuma mentioned, as well as Mari. We may have a lot of time, but it's best if we don't procrastinate with arguments." She said, before looking at Yukino. "Would you like to go with me in a pair? I feel like you may blow up at someone... I'm a good listener, being a Medium, listening my job. But if you would like to talk about it, or not, it's fine with me." She offered. She wasn't good at giving advice, but she was good at listening, like she said, it's her job. Well... Considering how rare Mediums are, she had a lot of spirits trying to talk to her. Maybe... This mute WAS a blessing? Well... she still didn't like it.

Ryoka watched Yukino silently as she described her side of the story. The best thing he could do here was not react, he thought. If he reacted in any way then that would only confirm the others suspicions. So he stood as still as a statue and stared with a blank look on his face. He had even unconsciously stopped himself from biting his lower lip.

When Yukino approached him and told him that they'd find her dead it took everything he had not to clench his fists in anger. She had no faith in him or Mari, there was no way she'd end her life on a whim. It didn't matter what she said about herself, Mari was not selfish. There was no way in hell she would ever take her own life, he refused to believe it to the very end. But if everyone were to suddenly accuse her of being insane and if they were to lock her away in her room, Mari's heart may be broken beyond repair.
"Yes, we will probably constrain her but that is for her own good." she reasoned.

"We need to consider sending a search party for her. Now."
Ryoka finally moved to shake his head, he couldn't believe what he was hearing. Detainment was the last thing Mari needed, to be trapped within her room all by herself would only hurt her more. "In 1951 researchers at a university paid a group of students to stay in solitary confinement to study the effects of sensory deprivation. The experiment was planned to go on for six weeks, but not a single student made it past seven days. Nearly every student lost the ability to think clearly about anything for any length of time, while some began to suffer hallucinations. Thoughts of self mutilation and suicide were not uncommon either." Ryoka frowned and looked down at Yukino, forgetting momentarily that she was a woman, a beautiful one at that. In any other situation he would have forgiven her for saying something so atrocious, but this was unforgivable.

"Now tell me something, Ms. Tsuzaki. If Lady Mari is as mad as you say, then just what do you think she'll do after you've all confined her? Do you think she'll be any better after treating her like a prisoner?" Ryoka looked at everyone's expressions, searching for uncertainty in their faces. It was apparent how flustered he was, based on the glower on his face. "To hell with any and all of you who even considered what Ms. Tsuzaki is suggesting! For shame on the traitors and conspirators among us who would lock away a friend out of fear!" Ryoka was raising his voice to volumes he had never used before. His face was flushed from his anger and from the shortness of his breath. Ryoka took a few moments to catch his breath, his face returning to its slightly pale color. "I will look for Mari myself. I can only hope that I find her before any of you paranoid backstabbers do. To those who recognize the short-sightedness of this plan, I wish you the best of luck in your hunt for your memories and bombs." With a huff, Ryoka stomped back into the forested jungle where Mari disappeared. Alone.

Julian watched as Ryoka seemed to do a 180 in his composure, which was, usually, rather friendly. Then again, he couldn't really judge. "Ryoka is kind of right. If we treat someone like a prisoner, when they thought that we were their friends, it would have to opposite effect. People don't react well when people shout at them, or manhandle them. Sometimes you have to be more... considerate to their feelings, whether they're dubbed as 'insane' or not." Julian spoke up, getting up as well. "Mari is a shy person, being upfront and shouting at her, or manhandling her isn't going to help her at all." Julian explained. And it was true. He had enough experience as it was.

He watched as Ryoka left, by himself, and Julian instantly felt himself run after Ryoka. He just... Did. Julian assumed it was because he was worried for Ryoka, and went after him. Julian knew that he did things without realising or comprehending it, and while sometimes it helped, at other times it wasn't a very good thing.
"Ryoka, wait for me. I'll help you! It's a bad Idea to go by yourself, and you said we'd go in a pair." Julian called out to Ryoka. He jogged up to Ryoka, able to catch up with the male. "Ryoka... I understand your angry, but what if Mari see's you angry? She'll think that you're angry at her and would run away." Julian tried to reason, though he was getting out of breath. He could never handle a quick-pace and talking at the same time. "Maybe we could slow down a bit, and take a minute to calm down, yeah?" He asked, panting more. He was going to have a bit trouble catching his breath after this.

Ryōka turned to see Julian chasing after him, after he explicitly told them all that he'd be going alone. He stopped and turned to face Julian with his hands at his hips, waiting for him to catch his breath. Ryōka brushed his bangs to the side and sighed, having listened to what Julian said. "I appreciate you coming out here to help me find Lady Mari, but this is something I must do alone." Ryōka turned his back to Julian and stuffed his hands into his vest pockets. "Out of all of us who've been trapped here, she chose to trust in me. Just looking at her fills me with hope and I know she feels the same way."

Ryōka turns 90 degrees and looks at Julian with a small smirk on his face. "While I don't think I could ever be angry with her, I do think our little chat here has calmed my nerves a bit." Ryōka turned on his heel and once more began to walk away. "You should head back to the group, your skills are put to better use looking for those bombs. And when you return to the others, do tell them I'm sorry won't you? I lost my temper, and I wouldn't want anyone to feel there's bad blood between us."

Ryōka thought to himself while walking away, 'Thank you, Julian Kohlier. I sincerely believe that you must be one of the many beautiful people in this world. You won't have to worry about getting your haircut anymore, because...'

"...I've already cut your hair..."

Having always been swift and precise with his hands, Ryōka was able to take out his scissors and comb and cut Julian's hair within the blink of an eye, having even been able to remove his hat without him noticing. No clippings of hair were to be found as Ryōka had just as quickly grabbed them in midair, remembering Monokuma's rule about littering.

When Julian next took off his hat, he would no doubt be surprised to find he was sporting a new hairstyle; A medium wavy with many jagged cut layers on the back and sides of the head to give the hair plenty of movement and textured layer cuts on the top of the head to allow for lift and to enhance the styles natural wave. Ryōka couldn't help but feel proud of his work, knowing he had the power to make the world a beautiful place.

'I'm not freaking out!" Yukino protested. "I just said that she just ran off into the jungle. Mari could die in that jungle! I believe it is likely that you will find her killed. We need to fi - Oh forget it. You are not listening to me. " This was ridiculous. She expected at least someone to show worry about Mari. But she's being lectured to calm down. Very well then, she thought. Maybe she needed to find Mari on her own. That was when her arm was grabbed by Alex. "Hey!"

"You are one of the more level-headed people here. We do not need you to have a freak out." She said calmly, letting Yukino go, before turning to the rest of the group.

Yukino opened her ears to Alex. However, she still disagreed that she was freaking out. Why does Alex of all people think that is how she feels right now? She felt stupid for ever telling them in the first place. She tried wringing her arm free but Alex was too strong (or Yukino was very weak. She was not quite sure).

Nearly every student lost the ability to think clearly about anything for any length of time, while some began to suffer hallucinations. Thoughts of self mutilation and suicide were not uncommon either." Ryoka frowned and looked down at Yukino

She quickly turned her head to Ryouka. He started to spat out a random study out of the top of his head. It seemed like he jumped to the most extreme example possible. Yukino knew that Ryouka was good but this was an egregious fallacy. Her blood started to boil a little. She's doing him a service but he's now scolding her. Doesn't he see that he's endangering his girlfriend? He's going to be devastated even more if he saw Mari die. Yukino didn't want Ryouka to have a broken spirit. Because she cares about him.

"You know that's not what I mean, Ryouka." She answered slowly, trying to control her anger. You could see her grit her teeth. "You are creating a Strawman Arguement. You went to the most violent conclusion. What I want is us to just capture her until she calms down in her room. You could visit her! It's the be-"

Yukino gave up. It's no good. There's no point in saying. Ryouka was whipped up in a frenzy for Mari. Honestly, that tiny voice in her head told her that she felt sick. It's all Mari,Mari and Mari for him. For some reason, this made her angry. Her hands tightened into fists. He only cares about her. He can never care about anyone else. Not Yukino. No matter. She's going to stand her ground. Her teeth gritted against each other.

Yukino has ran out of patience. Her face burned red. "You can't let her run free in those jungles, Ryoka! " she shouted at Ryoka as he ran into the jungle. She added some words that she hoped echo into Ryoka's consciousness. " Mark my words! You will find her killed in the jungle" GinkyGotBack GinkyGotBack

She was fuming. Okay. Calm down. Breathe in. Breathe out. 1.2.3.4.5 Her anger subsided. That's a new experience. She was arguing someone while wearing a bikini.

"Besides, we should probably start looking for the Hidden Treasures that Monokuma mentioned, as well as Mari. We may have a lot of time, but it's best if we don't procrastinate with arguments." She said, before looking at Yukino.

"Very well." Yukino said. She was pleasantly surprised. No more argument right now, she agreed. They need action now "Then, we should all split up and go. Now!"

"Would you like to go with me in a pair? I feel like you may blow up at someone... I'm a good listener, being a Medium, listening my job. But if you would like to talk about it, or not, it's fine with me." She offered.

Yukino didn't really care who she went with and- Hey! 'Blow up someone'? Yukino was somewhat disheartened. Her emotions told her to fight. She really wanted to. That was a disgraceful remark for a girl that prided herself on her rationality. She didn't have a choice to argue though because that will prove her point. "I do not mind. Then let's team up, Alright? I want to rest of you to help find Mari. She needs help but we need to capture her first. It's for her own good. If you have partner, the let's go." She said as she took her first steps into the jungle, turning backwards, expecting Alex to follow.

Julian looked at Ryoka, but nodded. "Well, At least you're more calmer. I know that you do and say things when you're angry. It's... A normal Human reaction, but it's best to stay calm." Julian smiled. He felt something, and saw something, too fast for the naked eye, moving when Ryoka turned away. His head felt... Lighter. And less confined? Before he could even ponder what had happened, Ryoka had already told him that he cut his hair. Julian looked at him owlishly, before feeling his hair. He smiled to himself, and then to Ryoka's back. "Uh, Thank you, Ryoka!" He thanked Ryoka, watching the male walk off. a part of him wanted to make sure Ryoka was, and stayed safe, but he respected Ryoka's request to go back to the Group. "I-I'll see you! I guess!" He said, before making his way back to the group.

Julian did make his way back to the group, feeling his hair. How did he do that? He was Fast, and... That could be dangerously lethal if he ever used it Against anyone. He knew Ryoka wouldn't, the man was too sweet to hurt someone verbally, let alone physically. But still, Julian knew he had to be at least half-aware while around Ryoka. Otherwise, he may not be able to prevent something that could hurt someone. That thought terrified him. He he shook his head, and made his way back to everyone else. It was bad to allow these thoughts to plague his mind. He knew that Alex would understand, considering how she knew who he was, truly was, before he could tell anyone. So... It wouldn't harm anyone to tall her. He wondered though... Could he tell anyone else? He knew it would come out sooner or later, but... He didn't want anyone to become paranoid. He shook his head again. He really needed to control his thoughts, otherwise he'll end up spilling everything to someone, and... Well, he decided to allow Fate to run it's course.

Julian got back to the group as he heard someone, he assumed Yukino, shouting.
"You can't let her run free in those jungles, Ryoka! "..... " Mark my words! You will find her killed in the jungle"
He looked at everyone, and it seemed that Yukino was still angry. He nodded, agreeing to Alex. "Uhm... Yukino. Ryoka told me that he was sorry, and that he didn't want to have anymore bad blood between everyone. He's... searching for Mari alone. I was... reluctant to let him, but... He insisted..." He spoke up, though it was still Meek. He watched at Yukino left, Alex looking at Julian, acknowledging him with a sharp nod, before following Yukino into the forest. Julian decided to was just going to go with whoever was okay with him, still feeling self conscious. He hadn't had much time to get to grips with the fact that his hair was short now, let alone talk to anyone while quietly mulling it over. Worst comes to worse, he'll end up being by himself. And that was fine, he could defend himself. Well... He hoped he could.

Alex silently followed Yukino, falling into a steady pace behind the slightly hot-headed female. "I would like to just say that both you and Ryoka are misunderstanding each other. I can understand what you mean when you say 'Capture' however, others think differently when when one says 'capture'. For example, Capture to one maybe to find someone and keep them still until they calm down. However, to another, the word capture may mean to hold someone against their will, usually in a rough manner. For example, hunters." She explained, he voice staying stable, but also cold and blunt. She personally saw no reason to hold anything back with Yukino. It was better to not sugar coat things and beat around the bush.

"I feel like that is where you both got mad at each other, and I thought I should at least explain what I saw of the situation".
She ended. She looked around at the ground. Who knew where anything could be. "I hope you don't mind that I'm being blunt with you. Some people do not take kindly to my bluntness." She added. She sighed looked around at the air. "This is where I wish my Ability to talk to spirits was not being suppressed. I don't understand why, but I can only Feel the presence of the spirits, and even that is weak..." She sighed sadly. "Well, no matter. I still have Eyes, and Cronus always said that I could loose my ability for some reason or another... Ugh! so he WAS giving me pointers! Ugh, I hate it when they're vague! Ugh, I swear..." she shook her head angrily. She knew that Cronus would be both worried and amused by this situation. As both a 'Told you so' and 'took you long enough'. She sighed, this wasn't the time to get mad. She calmed herself. "Sorry for talking to myself, I will keep it to a minimum." She said, looking around, he voice back to being almost emotionless.

"Everyone! Please calm down."
"Ryoka......"
Yume could only stand there and watch as Yukino and Ryoka got into an argument, she was puzzled by everything Yukino was saying. The fact the Mari ran off to the wood boggled her mind, she couldn't seem to fathom or imagine any of that happening, not to mention her rational behind all of this.

Is that true? What was Mari thinking?

Yume tried to chase after Ryoka, but it seems like she reacted to the whole ordeal a little too late, Ryoka vanished completely from her sight before she could even lift her legs.
It was a relieve to Yume that Julian happened to catch up with him, but Ryoka seemed reluctant to rejoin the group for the time being.

"This is clearly not the time for all of this nonsense......"

"I am sure he has his reasons."

"But still...it's just too dangerous for him to venture into the forest alone just like that, I really hope he'll change his mind, we have to find him and Mari as soon as possible. I am...worried......"

Yume was not sure what to expect in this Treasure Hunt, but as she recalled about what Yukino just mentioned, she could felt her heart skipped a beat.
Our lost memory.....?
A copy of our lost memory?

It suddenly dawned on her, if what Yukino heard, or what Lord Mookuma said was really true, then it could mean a lot of things.
The fact that apparently, all the student's memories are cut-off at some point, it all makes sense now, if Lord Monokuma had somehow...erased their memory in some very absurd ways.
...The fact that she can't remember anything about herself, not even her name, could mean that Lord Monokuma had taken away all of her memories, while somehow, keeping a "copy" of that memory.
It was nothing new, but to actually hear it from Lord Monokuma's mouth was something entirely different, and how he even claimed that he had hidden their lost memory in this place as treasures.

If they are able to find them...their lost memories, what would happen? If she "found" her lost memory...would she really be able to suddenly remember everything about herself?

"Wait...nevermind all of that...all I want to know is, is that bear really going to blow up this whole place?! With us in here?! W-what are we going to do about that meh?!"

step0002-7-jpg.289022

"From what we see so far, there's nothing that bear wouldn't do......"

step0002-jpg.289020

"......"
The thoughts were tingling her curiosity, but she knew clearly that finding their 'lost memory' was not their priority, their priority was to stop the time bombs. If what Lord Monokuma said is true, then all of their lives were in great danger. Is that bear really going to blow up everything?
They will have to stop the bombs.

But the huge question is, how?
She had no idea, at all, nothing came into her mind. She held up her map and stared right into the red crosses scattered all across the map, her eyes scanned through the map before her gaze stopped on a particular spot on the map.

It's a particularly big red cross...located...right under their feet.
Yume hesitated for a few seconds before lowered her body on the grassy land and put her ears on the ground, knocking on the floor as she tried to listen for any echoing.

Without saying a word, Yume started to dig into the dirt with her delicate hand and after a brief few seconds, she uncovered a metallic part of a huge treasure chest.
Carefully, Yume brushed all of the remaining dirt aside and discovered a huge metallic treaure chest.

step0002-5-jpg.289024

"W-what are you doing?"

step0002-7-jpg.289022

"Oh, it seems like Yume got a head start in the Treasure Hunt."

step0002-jpg.289020

"I saw it on the map... it could be something important."
Yume stood up while she was panting after the rapid digging.

step0002-1-jpg.289028

"O-oh! Then let's open it right away."

As Yume flung open the huge chest, you could see sets of digging tools and many basic gadgets for treasure hunting like shovels and pickaxes in the chest, besides, you could see a few big black cases laying around the chest too.
On top of everything, there is a thick book in the chest, a manual to be precise, titled, "Monokuma's Guide To Not Go Bomb(Not for Dummies)".

step0002-jpg.289020

"Could this be......"
Yume picked up the thousand-page thick book and flipped through a few page, a few particular pages in the book caught her interest.
The pages depicted the intricate structure of the bomb and the complicated engineering that involved.
A few lines on the page provided some info on the bomb they were dealing with. The rest of the book was mainly describing the highly specific and sophisticated procedure involved in defusing the bomb. The content seems like something that a professional would have to dedicate a few years of his life just to learn and perfect.
Monokuma's bomb are fascinating bombs that utilized frontier technologies, created by the great Lord Monokuma himself, it could destroy everything within the radius of over a thousand km, it's destructive power makes atomic bomb seems like child's play......

"T-that's impossible, it's......"

Yume got cold feet just by reading that line, now that she knew what they are really dealing with, Monokuma is making them to hunt down and defuse all of the bombs within the time limit or else...she swore to herself that there's no way she's going to find out.

Yet Yume could only clench her fist and trembled at the thought of having to defuse a bomb, there's simply no way that any students here are going to defuse a bomb like a veteran, she couldn't bring herself to imagine what would happen if they were not careful enough.
Whether they wanted to do this or not, it seemed like there's only a dead-end at the end of both paths that they were forced to follow.

"How are we going to......"
The book slipped from Yume's hand and fell onto the floor, the pages flipped over as a gust of wind blew over it.
You could see a giant word "OR" printed on the very last few pages of the book.
Yume knelt down and flipped over the page, to the very last page.
The word "Murder Someone" written in bright neon pink instantly grabbed Yume's eyes.
Yume's body twitched in disgust before she torn out the page right away and crammed it in her hand.
Shivering in anger, she tossed the ball of paper away with all of her strength as an outlet of all of her frustration.

step0002-jpg.289020

"There's no way...there's no way I'll allow that to *ever* happen again......"

The option that they were given was only an illusion at the very beginning.

"Aehehehe......."

The grass rustled as she pranced out of the ominous shadows casted by the trees around the forest.

"Ahh, I can see things are heating up over here......"
"It seems like...you guys are worried about me too, how sweet of you."
"Hmm~hm...but well, I think..."

"Pss......"

"You guys should start worrying about yourself first......"

Julian watched. He supposed he could help out, he had a good Idea about bombs. Hey, if he knew how to set one up, with the right materials, how hard was diffusing it going to be? ... He didn't want to think on it. He watched as Yume tore out a page in the book and threw it. Julian picked it up, just in case it was seen as littering. Then Mari came out of the forest. Her attitude at changed. Completely. Julian had a slight chill, and felt off. Mari was always so shy, and sweet. This just sounded.... Cunning? Sly? Mari knew something... Or at least was pretending to. It just felt off for him.

He unraveled the piece of paper, and read it. He... wasn't surprised. "Well... We know what the motive is this time." He said sadly.
"Uhm... I can try and see if I can diffuse the bomb. I-uh had some experience.... a while back." He said, "It's a long story, but I can always have a go?" He offered. He took the book and skimmed through it. HoooBoy, this looks complicated. He looked at the mechanics almost owlishly. He looked at the bomb, and back to the book. Okay, first off... Find something that looks similar to the bomb in the book.. Got it!

He looked at the contents, and read what types of wire meant what, which would allow him to figure out how to stop the bomb. Since you would usually have to cut some wires.

( Dreamtique Dreamtique This is your part to shine/take us through the bomb lol. You
know why Julian Can do this, if he tried.)
