DanganronpaRE: Remember Me RP

The maid stood there, only a few foot away from the group, yet it seemed to be miles and miles away, she seemed so far away, and so...unreachable. Something about that girl had changed, from her hollow eyes to the menacing smirk on her face. You could instantly sense the unsettling difference, even from the subtle movement of her body, her body language had completely transformed, not in a good way.
It was almost as if Mari had taken on a completely different persona.

Is she still the Mari you know?

Mari's eyes were enveloped with a void of nothingness, it was as if her soul was swallowed by an expanding black hole.
She silently scanned through the group of students, one after another. Her eyes bored into you, you could tell that she was plotting something in her mind as her lips curled into a smirk.

Mari's gaze fell on Julian as the boy claimed that he could defuse the bombs. The smile on her face faded into a poker face.

With her eyes locked on Julian like a hungry predator that found its prey, she took a step forward, pausing for long before she made another step towards the group.

step0003-png.344278

"You are saying that you are going to defuse the bomb?"
Mari turned to Julian. Slowly, she leaned her body forward, her eyes widened as she questioned with a high and sarcastic tone.

"Ahe...ahehe...aheeehe!!!"
Mari burst out in laughter as she held her stomach.

"How funny..."
Her laughter stopped as she straightened her back and muttered in a monotonous tone. Her eyes narrowed as she stared at the group with a disgusted look on her face.

step0002-jpg.289020

"Mari...what was that supposed to mean?"
"We are not joking, our life is on the line here, we *must* do something, anything."
"We can't go down without putting up a fight."
Yume was feeling extremely uneasy as she noticed Mari's strange behavior. First, she mysteriously disappeared, and then she suddenly appeared before their eyes. She was puzzled by her every action, she could felt her heart palpitating faster and faster with every word she said, Yume just couldn't predict what would Mari do next.

step0003-png.344278

"Huh? Huuuh? Huh?"

"HUH......?"

"What do you think we can do?"
"For a group of so-called SHSLs, you guys sure are dense."
"Are you guys even aware of our situation?"
"Hmm, even if you are really able to successfully defuse the bomb, how are you going to find each and everyone of them."
"It's a needle in the hay."

"Just admit it, trapped in here like prisoners, you guys are nothing more than a group of whiny, helpless teenagers, unbearably obnoxious, especially you, Yume. I guess that could be why that bear makes us kill each other, hehe."
"Do you really think all of you worthless people that amount to nothing deserve to live? So why are you guys even trying to make your demise look that...laughable and hysterical?"
"Did all of your common sense just went down the drain when the desperation to live flooded your tiny little brain?"

"I am utterly bored and irritated by each and everyone of you......"

step0002-jpg.289020

"Mari-"

step0003-png.344278

"Es-pe-cial-ly, YOU, Yume."
"All of you act like disgusting bugs trapped in a spider web, it was funny to watch all of you buzz about hope and struggle at first, but all of that continues, it just becomes annoying.
"How pitiful......"

"You know, I can keep going, but well, if you have at least a little self-aware left in you, you should be able to realize how abhorring you are now."

She picked up the paper on the floor that was tossed out by Yume.

"I believe everyone of you here understands our situation now right?"
She unraveled the ball of paper, revealing the pink font that was written big and clear on that piece of wrinkly paper.

step0003-png.344278

"The answer is right in front of all of you......"
"It's either this...or we all go bomb in an explosion......"

"Of course, I could care less about whether all of you live or not...but here's a piece of advice......."

"If I were you......"
"I'll do it......"
"I'll definitely do it..."

Mari smirked in a wicked way before she turned around and disappeared from everyone's sight.

step0002-1-jpg.289028

"M-mari!"
"Mari! Please! Come back!" Mika shouted on the top of her voice and sprinted into the wood right after Mari walked away.

koba-png.315091

"Mika! What are you doing? You can't just leave the group like that!" Koba twitched as Mika ran off to the wood, the boy then ruthlessly chased after Mika, in hope of catching up to her to ensure her safety.

step0002-7-jpg.289022

"What's that girl thinking? I don't understand...I don't understand at all......"

step0002-5-jpg.289024

"No way, meh...Is that what she's really like? Is she psychotic or something? I-Is she going to kill us all?"
"She's a...terrible person all along...she's so mean......"

step0002-jpg.289020

Yume face was distorted in disbelieve, her body shivering involuntarily as she tried to suppress her emotions and the despair that washed over her.

"Why......"
"Mari...why......"
Mari's act was unfathomable, Yume grabbed her head as she pondered in frustration, but her mind was completely clogged by the shock that was still pulsing in his brain.
Why would Mari suddenly spurting such hurtful words, is this her true color all along, is the time they spent together all a lie? To say that she was utterly bored and disgusted by every one of them. Is the cowardly yet lovely Mari nothing but a facade all along?

You never shed a tear.....
You are a strong person......
You have to keep the group together......

Yume covered her face, she could feel her spirit slowly crumbling.
No, she is not strong at all, she can't even bring herself to mutter a word in front of Mari, she can't keep the group together. The only reason she was not crying was that she couldn't. The tears just wouldn't flow from her eyes. She was helpless from the very beginning.

Is what happened to Eiko and Ayaka going to happen once again, were the going to through that hellish class trial once again?

Yume shook her head violently. She straightened her back and tried to keep her head up, she knew this is not the time to be dwelling on how weak she is.
Thinking about what it would mean to the fate of all of the students, she was certain that she'll have to keep going.
Her trust and the power she gained from everyone was the exact reason she was able to pull herself together through all of this. Of course, she is weak, she is helpless, but it's that faith she puts on everyone and the desire to protect all of her friends that make her strong. So she can't lose faint on everyone on them, she'll have to hold on to the dream she envisioned no matter how hard realities try to crumble it with all its might.

step0002-jpg.289020

"We have to find Mari, we have to gather everyone and settle this Treasure Hunt once and for all......"
"I am counting on all of you."
"Julian, I hope you are ready for all of this......"
"Don't push yourself too hard."

"We'll first split into three groups to locate all of the bombs, while we are at it, keep an eye for those who ran off into the wood, especially Mari... if you happen to run into them."

step0002-5-jpg.289024

"But...she's...a little...cuckoo....."

step0002-jpg.289020

"No, Hitsuji. That doesn't matter."
"We can try to...talk with Mari, perhaps there's some misunderstanding, or she's just frustrated, I do believe she has her reasons."
"I really hope that...all of you will be able to forgive her for what she said, I don't think she means it......"

step0002-7-jpg.289022

"You sure is an odd one...Yume." Hisoka spoke softly as he shook his head.

step0002-jpg.289020

"With that being said, let us proceed to settle our groups."

"Now, off we go! Please stay safe and sound, everyone."

The air in the jungle felt heavy, like a wet towel hanging on Yukino's head. She trudged through the muddy ground. It was a few minutes ago that she was searching for bombs among the trees with Alex. There was a weird scent in the air. Then, she was starting to feel nauseated. Her eyes blinked quickly over and over. Damn. She was starting to lose focus. It was difficult to pay attention to what was happening in front of her. The world blurred in her eyes and the pain in her head throbbed further. She folded over and massaged her skull. Aggh... Feeling lightheaded, she started to close her eyes slowly-

"Hisoka and Tsuzuki are going to cover the eastern part of this area."

"Huh?"

When she opened her eyes again, she was with the rest of the others. What was that? She swore she was in the jungle just now. She turned around and looked around her. Her head still felt a bit strained so she was still a bit spaced out. She shook her head. It was strange. Maybe Monokuma started to invest in multi-dimensional wormhole machines and he used it to cause confusion in her mind. Whatever that was.

No, that makes no sense, what are you thinking Yukino, she scolded herself. It was just the heat getting into her head alright. She was starting to become delusional. "Uh-huh, yes, I agree completely." she confidently responded. Her back straight. They needed to do this quick. She desperately wanted to end all of this quickly. She strode straight into the jungle, somewhat wobbly like she felt tired with the day. She was a bit nauseated. She didn't even wait for Hisoka to catch up with her. However, she tried to look fine to everyone else.

"Hurry-huh- up, Hisoka! We don't have enough time."

That was enough to notify him. The jungle disoriented her. That ache in her head... It was annoying and-Uggh-...starting to make her lightheaded again. She decided after 5 minutes of grunting, huffing, and headaches that she needed to take a rest. Her body hunched over. "Ryouka....Curse you for all of this." . He was being ridiculous though. He shouldn't prevent them capturing Mari. This was just troubling. She slowly managed to pull herself up then looked to her right.

To her relief, she saw a large shady tree. It seemed promising. She just wanted to take a quick rest and find Ryouka, Mari and the bombs as quickly as possible. She laid against the tree. It was just going to be a short rest. That's all. She waited for Hisoka to catch up. Her eyelids are heavy.

Alex nodded, looking over at Minori. though she was quite confused. First, she was following Yukino, then after stopping to close her eyes and take a breath, when she opened them, she was with everyone else. As if she never left. She felt the spirits presence, and knew something was wrong. They were confused and worried, or trying to tell her something. She didn't know. But boy did it feel off.

And now she was Paired with Minori to cover the Western side of this... Area. She wasn't with Yukino, nor anywhere close. She supposed she'd have to quietly ask Yukino to the side and talk to her then. for now, she'll act as normal. Through when she notice Yukino walking off, she looked.. Pale. Was she okay? Was that the side effects of whatever had happened? She hoped that the Debator was okay, before Leaving with Minori.
"Let's go, Minori. We don't have any time to loose." She said, before walking off. She felt as if a large dizzy spell had hit her, but she shook it off. This was something that she would like to find out.

"My appologise, Minori, if I do not seem like someone who you can talk to. I'm not used to socialising with people very much." She explained briefly. Might as well get that out the way.

"Ah, don't forget the metal detector, the treasure box seems to be mostly made up of metal, this will help to make locating them much easier."
"They seems to be pretty sensitive too, I think that's an advantage."
Yume waves the metal detector around the mostly metallic treasure box, a long beeping could be hear as soon as the sensor faced the metallic treasure box, even from a distance.
Yume then proceed to hand the tools to the assigned groups.

step0002-7-jpg.289022

"I'll like to have two metal detectors and a shovel, please." Hisoka sneaked up to Yume and asked politely.

step0002-jpg.289020

step0002-jpg.289020

step0002-7-jpg.289022

"What are you going to do? When you meet Mari......"
"You are going to just pretend as if nothing happen right? Even after what she said to you and everyone here, even after what she had showed us......"
"She's clearly playing wild card, so why would you still be able to treat this as a simple game of negotiation."

step0002-jpg.289020

"It's...purely because I trust her, I trust Mari as a frien-"

step0002-7-jpg.289022

"Enough."
"I knew that."
"I knew I am going to get that answer...somehow......"

"And now I wonder, why would I expect anything different form you."
"I was hoping to see something from you after all of that, but apparently nothing had changed. I wonder when will you learn?"
"You will always be that one-dimensional...flawless, perfectly pure girl that came straight form a story book, a land of pure fantasy......"

step0002-jpg.289020

"......"
"What would I need to learn? Because we are friends, of course we are going to trust her."

"Please proceed to join Tsuzaki on your way to the eastern part of the forest, she's waiting for you."
Yume didn't seem to be giving any reaction or whatsoever to Hisoka's speech, diverging their topic by asking Hisoka to leave.

Hisoka looked away to hide breath that escaped his mouth before he turned to Yume with a smile on his face and walked away.

The group soon set off on their quest to locate all of the treasure boxes and bombs. Yume was getting herself together as the students started to leave her sight in groups.
Yume straightened her back, heightening all of her senses and gathered up all of her concentration as she tried to get in the mode for a treasure hunt of death or victory.

Minori.... Minori seemed excited about this entire situation. He was bouncing fro foot to foot this entire time. During the arguing, and even during the talk of the bomb, and Mari's return before she left. Actually she seemed to beam even further each time.... something was wrong with this chick.., very wrong... She excitedly grabbed whatever they might need for the treasure hunting, before running over to catch up with Alex. She basically ignored anything she said before starting up her own excited chatter. "Hi there!!!!" she greets happily, "We never really have gotten the chance to talk before!!" she says with a grin. Minori was loud, and it seemed like she would interrupt almost anything said in response. "This is so cool!! I love treasure hunts!!!" she exclaims pumping her hands in the air. But even as she walked, talked, and was being incredibly active, her eyes were scanning the area for any treasure. She didn't seemed he slightest bit concerned about the threat of death or the bomb! "What do you hope we will find first?" she asks, and before Alex could respond, "I would love to find the The bottled stuff!!!" she states excitedly. She likes bottles after all, bottles were cool!, "And maybe the ropes and string-things too!" she adds happily, "Oh and maybe!-" she continued on with the list for a bit as she searched for treasure, bouncing all over the place, listing almost everything, and conveniently leaving out the bombs before turning to look at Alex why she bounced about down the path, "What about you? what do you home to find?" she asks with a seemingly childish grin. Something still seemed off about his girl. Cosmic_Chaos Cosmic_Chaos

Yukino was startled from her sleep when she heard rustling in the distance, jerking awake. She jumped to a crouching position to conceal herself. Was that Mari? Honestly, she was surprised that she wasn't turned into Mari Shanks considering that she even slept for more than 5 minutes. She peered over. If that was Mari, she was thinking of legging it. But, there was no need. It was just Hisoka among the leaves. She breathed a sigh of relief.

She stood up from the tree she was resting from and called out to him. "Took you long enough," she said tersely but with a hint of gratitude for having someone to help protect against Mari. She pointed to the metal detector on Hisoka's shoulder.

"I'm assuming that's for me to use, is that correct?"

"Sorry for the wait, Miss Yukino."
"Come on, we have to make this quick. We should start our search right away, we are racing with time after all."
Hisoka tried to emphasize. Even someone as calm as him appeared to be little worried about this whole ordeal.

Hisoka nodded as Yukino spotted the tools in his hand, seemingly ready to put them to use.
"Yes, these are metal detector, this should make locating the treasures easier, if I am not mistaken, every treasure should be contained in a special treasure chest before they were hidden."
"Since the treasure chest is mainly made up of metal, by using this metal detector, we should be able to detect the treasure chests, even the bombs."
Hisoka scanned the floor with his metal detector as he maneuver around the forest, a beeping could soon be heard from the metal detector.

"I found one, looks like the treasure map is accurate after all."
A smiled surfaced on his face, his hands goes through the thick bushes and drew out a treasure chest, carefully placing it on the floor before he opened the heavy chest, he dug into the chest and found a plushie of Lord Monokuma.
"Adorable, but useless." Hisoka was rather unhappy with his first treasure, he simply placed the plushie back into the chest and pushed back the heavy chest into it's position.

"Man, these chests are basically impossible to be lifted up with only one man's strength......"

"Ah, you could certainly make notes about what we find and where we find it, as Yume told us, but that'll be unnecessary for us, I can remember everything."

"Besides that, I had memorized all areas that are marked on the map, so I think I have the confident to guide you through this forest."
"If you don't mind, please follow my lead, okay?" Hisoka turned to Yukino and asserted. The young man was strangely motivated in this treasure hunt.

On your journey as you try to hunt down the treasures hidden around the forest, most of them are practically useless rubbish, a diversion from the hidden bombs among the thousands and thousands of marked spot on the treasure map.

Oddly enough, a few treasure chests that were placed at some very obvious spots that's within the range of vision were found out to be empty. You wasn't sure what it could mean, since most of the well hidden chests will certainly contain something most of the time.

As two of you approached east side of the forest from the center, you could start to spot a tree top village which extends very widely around that particular area.
You couldn't help but to spot a particularly big tree house with an inviting spiral staircase leading up straight to it.

You noticed Hisoka paused for a second, seemingly noticed something as he frowned. He looked to the huge tree as he stood there, seemingly rooted on the ground for long. There are still plenty of spots to be searched but his eyes were somehow fixated on the tree house.

"There is someone over there." Hisoka walked closer to Tsuzaki as he whispered.
You were not sure what makes Hisoka thinks that.
What could be heard was only a sudden rustling of the leaves, that was maybe caused by a gust of strong wind, or maybe not. It could also be caused by 'animals' like the birds, squirrels or something like that. Or else, what could it be? It would be ridiculous to think that there'll be flying humans after all-

"Hisoka, Yukino, I am glad to see you two here." Your train of thought was interrupted as a voice called out to two of you.

As two of you turned to the voice, you could see Mika, who was walking down the spiral staircase curling around the giant tree gradually before she leaped off and landed on the ground.

step0002-1-jpg.289028

"I...I am glad to see two of you here." She repeated what she said, she seemed to be panting slightly, perhaps from the long staircase that she'll have to climb.

"Um...um..."

For a few seconds two of you were just staring at the girl as she started to make a bunch of incoherent voices, seemingly having difficulties to come up with words, but after the girl's breathing pattern slowly resumed to a less erratically one, she gave the two an awkward smile before she finally spoke.

"I am extremely sorry, I am feeling a little nauseous and tired... perhaps it's from the stinging smell of detergent and all that...but regardless, I want to apologize for being not able to provide any help to all of you in this treasure hunt."

"You two are trying so hard...and so is everyone, all of you are working together despite of all thous challenges and pressure, so I wanted to make sure I can somehow do something too......"
"But my body wouldn't budge, that's often how things works for me. But, no, I wouldn't give up just like that, it'll be okay, I want everything, and everyone to be okay."
You suddenly realized how pale this girl looked as she spoke, her dry and scaly lips trembled ever so slightly every time she tired to move them. All of a suddenly you were reminded that Mika is a patient that's prone to many diseases for her entire life, staring into the now weakened figure of her, you could almost feel the pain she had been experiencing vividly stimulating your senses.

"I don't want to wast any of your time, so, I just want to say... thank you, thank you for being a part of my life. I sincerely hope that all of us would be able to get through this, and keep holding on to our hope no matter what challenges lie ahead of us......"
Mika took a step back and bowed at the two before she slowly paced away from two of you.

step0002-jpg.289020

"I am sorry Hitsuji, we'll have to do this following the procedure, step by step, so that we wouldn't miss anything. Guess work wouldn't do any good in this situation."

"I would really appreciate it if you follow my instruction, Hitsuji...or maybe just, keep quite, so that you wouldn't distract us."

step0002-5-jpg.289024

"Bu-bubu-but......"

step0002-jpg.289020

"We should really start our search now, we had wasted too may time."
"Julian, let us begin."
Yume spoke with a serious tone as she turned to Julian, Yume swung into action right away after she spoken without any delay.

After a few minutes of search, as you are completely absorbed in your task of searching around the lake, you head the rustling of the frolics, and soon a splash could be head clearly near a river that's not far away from you and the group.

When you approached the source of the sound, you could spot something sank to the bottom of the river.

step0002-jpg.289020

"What was that?" Yume rushed over to your side as soon as the splash reached her. Hitsuji was somehow not by Yume's side.

"Is there something at the bottom of river?" Yume noticed the water that was splattered along the edge of the river and realized that an object just fell down into the river.

She approached the river and hesitated before she grabbed a long branch that was lying around and scooped up the item from the river.

The item seemed really familiar to you, somehow.
It was a shoe, a black shoe.
You tried to recall about when had you saw this shoes, but before your memory surfaced, Yume let out a relatively loud statement.
"This is... Mari's shoe......."
Yume face went pale, she gulped as she tried to think of a way to explain this.
"Why would Mari's shoe be in the river."

"Did she...accidentally fell into the river?"
"I-I......"
"I can't let anything happen to Mari. I got to find her immediately."

"Julian, you keep searching for the bombs...I will have to find Mari, she could be in danger."
"I am sorry for abandoning my duty temporarily, but, I'll have to try to search for Mari along the river for now. I can't continue before I find her and know she's safe."
Yume seemingly panicked when the though of Mari drowning came into her thought, she acted rashly and dashed off to find Mari straight away.

As Minori and Alex went on their journey to find the 'treasures'. The came across a cave, well hidden by the entangling vines the leads into the entrance of a dungeon.
As two of you walked into the dungeon, you could see a large room with many path ways leading to different direction, the internal of the dungeon was dimly lit by the torch around the dungeon.
At the center of the huge room there's an empty book stand at the center of the stone table, as you step closer you noticed that around the edges of the book stand were dusty, but strangely, the slated surface of the book stand was clean.

Before two of you decided to walk down a path, you could head a loud thud coming from one of the tunnel, and then a series of foot steps reached your ears. Two of you instinctively follow the sound, and soon ended up in the middle of a path with various rooms along the way.

You scanned around, but you could find any traces of anyone being around, it was until you head a thud coming from a room again,. Two of you approached the room, just before you stepped into the room.
You could fee a presence behind you, as the metal sensor in your hand (presumably facing your back) started to beep violently before two of you were pushed from behind.
A loud click could be head before the a door closed behind the two of you, and a pungent mist filled the air. Your vision started fading as your conscious drifted into darkness......

step0002-jpg.289020

"Minori!!! Alex!!! Please wake up!!!"

As soon as you opened your eyes, you could see Yume's concernedly looking at two of you, her hands were shaking from the fear that was washing over her.

"Minori!!! Alex!!! Are you alright!!?? I-I am glad that you two are..." Yume brought two of you in his arms and hugged two of you tightly before she let go and started to check two of you for any potential injury.

"What am I going to do..if two of you...I am so glad that..." Yume muttered incoherently, she was seemingly out of breath from all of the shock.

You looked around and noticed that you are still in the room that you walked into before you fainted. You was not sure how long it had been after two of you were locked in this room.

"We need to get out of here, this place is too dangerous."
"I think head something...there could be someone else trapped in here just like you two, we have to find them." Yume lend a hand to two of you and offered to lead the way.

As soon as you stepped out of the room, you could head a faint weeping of pure anguished and despair coming from inside the dungeon, echoing all around the dungeon.

"W-what's that...this cannot be good, we got to hurry." Yume stood there and listened the alarm of bad omen before she dashed straight to the sound, following behind the girl, you soon spotted someone, kneeling at a corner of a wall, sobbing as he curled up his body with his forehead pressed to the ground.
Upon closer inspection, it's Koba, the once goofy and cheerful youth, Koba, now drenched in tears of anguish.

step0002-jpg.289020

"Koba!" Yume rushed to Koba side as she tried to make sure she was alright.
"Koba! Koba! What's wrong!?" Yume tried to shook the guy, but he didn't give any respond at all, almost as if he was numbed from the world around him.
All of a sudden, Koba pushed Yume away from him and dashed away from the group.
"K-koba!" Yume tried to chased after him, but she stopped, knowing there's something much more dreadful awaiting them.

Yume stood up and started to scan the surrounding, there's a huge doorway and a strangely bright room up ahead of them, it seemed like they had reached the depths of the dungeon. Yume stepped into the room that's filled with natural lighting, it was then her gaze stopped onto something that caught her eyes, right under the sunlight that beamed down from a opened roof that lead to the surface, hidden amid the vibrant flowers that bloomed under the blessings of the sunlight, glistening.

Her eyes slowly widened in disbelieve as she stepped closer. She couldn't blink, as she inched her way towards an altar that was set up right in the middle of the hidden oasis in the depth of this dungeon. Her eyes was fixated on the glass coffins that were placed on the altar. Two glass coffins......

step0002-8-jpg.289021

"Congratulations! Everyone!" All of a sudden, Monokuma's voice echoed throughout the forest through the PA system around the park.
"Yoooou, did it!!!"
"Someone finally did it!"
"Two bodies had been discovered! The Treasure hunt officially ends now! The bombs will not detonate!"

"...Because we are moving on to something much more exciting...upupupu..."

"After a certain amount of time, a Class Trial will begin!!! You know the drill!"
"Good job...and good luck, my dear students!!!"

As you stepped closer, you could see two beautifully crafted glass coffins on the altar, surrounded by the a sea of flowers, carefully arranged around the glass coffin.
Inside the two glass coffins that were placed side by side lies Mari and Mika that were both laying peacefully in their respective glass coffin, seemingly in a deep and permanent slumber.
Mari and Mika were both dressed in a beautiful gown and had a make over from head to toe, both of the girl looked graceful and beautiful even in their eternal slumber. Two of the girls were displayed like a monument, an art, and their death seemed to somehow be celebrated, with all of these ceremonious decorations that was made upon their death.
You wouldn't even noticed that the two had already stopped breathing if you didn't fling open the glass coffin and put a finger on their pulse, for how calm and peaceful those two looks in their death, there's also no apparent wounds on the girls, that was at least a comfort you could find in the cruel and unfortunate departure of the girls from this world.

"Yes."
"Judging from the situation, the bodies are very likely to be around the westerner part of the forest."
Hisoka deduced and decided to head to the westerner area straight away.

After awhile, under Kasumi's help, the group soon found their way through the dungeon and eventually witness the body and found Yume, Alex and Minori.

step0002-jpg.289020

Yume eyes turned to the group and made a quick glace at the group that just found their way in before she turned back to stared blankly at the body, her eyes were hollow, as her hand twitched very slightly.
"I am sorry, everyone. I am sorry......"
"I-I......"
Yume voice was distorted by the sadness that welled from the bottom of her heart before she could mutter a word.

"We...we will have to do this once again...I am very sorry." Taking a deep breath as she lowered her head in an attempt to hide from the reality momentarily, she then took in a deep breath and exhaled, seemingly mentally preparing herself for another session of investigation.

Investigation Start.

(Just ask npc like Yume or Hisoka if you are not sure what's important and should be investigated.)

Minori was still chattering on when they entered the cave. Though she quieted down as they walked through it, apart from comments of 'coolness' and so on. She saw the book and trotted over, curious as to what it was, but she jumped when she heard the movement, and quickly bounced over, trying to find it. Of your she was surprised when she was suddenly knocked out, and then a little annoyed when she was then woken up. He mainly complained under her breath. Even when she got a grasp on the situation, she didn't seem bothered. She honestly found it exciting in truth. When they heard the cry of anguish she quickly followed them and when she found Koba, she was intrigued. What could of happened? She wanted to know SO badly. What could make such a cheerful guy DESPAIR so?!Oh this was just going to eat her up until she found out! Though now probably wasn't the best time. She watched him run off, before looking towards the lit up room. It looked interesting, and man was she not disappointed! There had been a murder! At the moment she had a tight grip on her left arm, practically squeezing the life out of it as she tried to calm herself. She put on a shocked face, and made he self look even upset, that part wasn't to hard since she was physically hurting her own arm already. She walked over trying to see who was in the coffins. She was surprised about Mari, she had been sure she would have been the murderer. Well, after all the best part was when your surprised.

She let out a sigh releasing her arm, she was no longer on the verge of seeming like a maniac. Her arm would probably bruise up soon enough, but she didn't mind. She decided to start investigating. She decided to first look at the flowers and the coffins. It seemed to convenient that the killer had gotten them.

She decided to start investigating. She decided to first look at the flowers and the coffins. It seemed to convenient that the killer had gotten them.

The glass coffins could be opened easily, the whole coffin are actually hand crafted and put together from glass planes that was covered with intricate carvings and patterns, it almost looked like a work from a skilled and experienced artist. Many of the flowers could simply be found around the forest yet there are some you couldn't really recognize, the flowers are all trimmed and arranged nicely around the corpse, some of them formed a perfect cushion for the bodies in the coffin.
While some of the petals covered the floor around the corpse like an elegant carpet. The scene really wouldn't look that intimidating if it wasn't because of the two familiar friends of you that were now being displayed in a glass coffin, now cursed to fall into eternal slumber.
Other than being used for aesthetical purpose, the flowers and coffins didn't seemed to be anything significant.

step0002-jpg.289020

"The glass coffins seemed to be crafted by hand, someone actually took the time to arrange and decorate these bodies......"
"It almost looked like a ceremony...they are like dolls being displayed like an exhibition of art work..."

"Why......why would anyone do that, it's simply irrational......"

Could it really be one of us? One of us actually did this...I don't understand......

"If I didn't let her go away from me just like that...maybe she wouldn't end up like this......"
Yume closed her eyes as she tried to remain her composure, she just met Mika not long ago, literally a few moments earlier as she was wondering around the forest looking for Mari, face to face...if only she didn't just let her go like that, maybe she wouldn't end up like this.
She bring a hand on her chest, she could felt the guilt torturing here. She failed, she utter failed to protect everyone and ensure everyone's safety.
Her legs were starting to go limp under the depression and frustration that came crushing down onto her.

Yume mustered up the courage and took a step closer, looking down to the two corpses that were laying peacefully before her.

"I-I am sorry...Mari......"

"I am sorry, Mika......"
step0003-2-png.327992

"And you! What are you going to do, Yume?"
Mika walked over to Yume as she teasingly asked.

step0002-jpg.289020

"H-Huh? M-me?"

"Urm...how should I put it......"
"Somehow...the thought of dipping myself in water seems a little...intimidating to me...and the strange part is, I am not that sure why do I feel that way myself too......"

step0003-2-png.327992

"Very strange...indeed......"

step0002-jpg.289020

"But it's okay...I'll be happy as long as everyone is getting along."
"It's great to be able to see all of you having fun together like that......" A bright smile stretched across Yume's face as she spoke.

"M-Mika?"
"Y-you are not going to t-toss me into the lake, right?" Yume paused and took a step back from Mika as she noticed how she had been staring at her as she spoke.

step0003-2-png.327992

"Hm......" Mika grinned and leaned towards Yume as she brought her face close to Yume's.

"No."

"No, I wouldn't, as long as you keep smiling like that."

step0003-2-png.327992

"As long as everyone keep smiling through all of this together...my mission will be completed."
Mika saluted at black space as she spoke, and chuckled at her own silliness shortly after.

"I want everyone to keep smiling...and look at things from a different perspective......"
"That's why I try to bring everyone together...and hope that they will all come together...and remembers to be happy...while cherishing our time together."
"I am sure...all of them will understand......"

"I understand how hard things could be when dealing with lost, trust me, I do."
"I used to cry...I used to felt helpless too...in fact...any normal human being would......"
"But...especially under such circumstances... we don't have any time to dwell on any of that...life is too short to be consumed by sadness..."
"Instead of turning lost into something that holds you back...why don't we derive motivation from them?"
"I am sure...they wouldn't want all that's left of them to be those sad memories...I am sure they would want to see us move forward too......"
"To gain strength from their lost, that's the way we should cherish and respect them."

"Like all of these flowers around my head...this flower crown...represented their blessings to me...it is my way to remember all of them. Those folks from the hospital."
"They are always with me, just like how they used to be......"

"They are all gone now...but I kept all of these, the flowers they sent me...I embrace them...and turned them into something beautiful and meaningful to me......"
"It's because of their blessings, that, I am able to live on and survive those torturing years......"

"That's why I told myself...I couldn't give up...and then I kept fighting..."
"That's how I am still standing here......"

"......"
"That's the way we roll in the hospital......" Mika chuckled a little.
"All the years that I spent at the hospital......It's strange...how even death could become a normality to one over time...it's scary how well human can adapt sometimes......"
"But......"
"Knowing that each and everyone of us could be gone...any moment..."
"All of the times we spent together became more precious......"
"And that's how I learned to appreciate life in a way I never did..."

Mika reached over to Yume and grabbed her shoulders.
"It may be hard to learn to let go...but all it takes is to see things from a different perspective."
"Just as you said, if we stay together...there's nothing that can beat us."

step0002-jpg.289020

"Mika......"

step0003-2-png.327992

"Yume, somehow...you worry me the most......"

step0002-jpg.289020

"......"

step0003-2-png.327992

"Even though I can tell that you are hurting from the inside...you never even...shed a tear......"

"But this also proves to me that how strong of a person you can be......"
"That's one thing I admire from you...that's why...you have the power to bring everyone together...I strongly believe in that..."
"That's why I want you to remember what I said. I want you to bring everyone together. I believe you have to power to do so, Yume."

step0002-jpg.289020

"Mika......"
"Thank you."

"Thank you for...eveything."

step0003-2-png.327992

Mika simply smiled at Yume before she turned to join in with the others around the lake
step0002-jpg.289020

"I really did try my best......"
"I want to stay strong, but I really do hope two of you are still with us...I don't know if I will still be okay if all of you leave me like that..."
Yume face was distorted in sadness, but tears just wouldn't fall down, her eyes stopped on Mari and Mika's body, as she looked closer....at lease, at least she left us peacefully, at least there's peaceful look on her face, she could almost see a faint smile on her face......
She shook her head and started to laugh at herself.
"My, don't be like that Mika...don't laugh at me..."

"I promise...I'll bring an end to all of this, I swear......"

Minori looked it over concluding there wasn't anything significant. She was holding one of the strange flowers, it really was pretty. She wondered where they came from. She briefly glanced at the coffins, who ever had done this clearly had lots of time and lots of skill. She almost admired that about the killer... After all, he had made them look so pretty! even in death. She wondered how they had been killed though. She tried to find the cause of death on Mari, showing no unease about moving and touching their dead friend's body.

She wondered how they had been killed though. She tried to find the cause of death on Mari, showing no unease about moving and touching their dead friend's body.
You don't find any wounds on their body, for both Mari and Mika. You do realized that they had a really nice make over though.
Is there...some foundation covering their arms?

You gave their waist a little smudge, if you pay enough attention, you'll noticed a tiny red mark around the right inner elbows of Mari and left inner elbow for Mika.
Furthermore, you also noticed that there are a few similar but less visible dots around Mika's left inner elbow, but not for Mari.

Minori noticed the mark and held her arm up trying to get a better look. She rubbed at the inner elbow, seeing if there was make-up covering more marks. She looked at Mari's arm as well, a little confused about the difference. She was holding their arms in the air, at this point it seemed like she didn't even register that they were her dead friends She was just enjoying the mystery. She didn't understand what the mark was, and was trying to get a closer look at it. Would monokuma know?

Alex Looked at the girl in pure shock. This girl... she wasn't phased by this situation? Alex watched the girl as she went on, and then started Asking Alex Questions. "To be perfectly honest, I don't see why You're so happy about this. This is a Very serious situation, Minori. Just because it's a treasure hunt, doesn't mean that it's a Good Thing." alex said. And once again, she was the voice of reason. She sighed.

After finding the Cave, and entering the Dungeon, and seeing the book. Alex looked at it. "I don't think that this is... Something for the treasure hunt... Right?" She asked. Hearing footsteps, She felt both Worry, thinking that it was someone by themselves, which could mean that they could get hurt, or they were someone who could potentially start another investigation and Trial. She followed Minori, about to voice her concerns, when they tried to look into the room. She jumped out of her skin when The metal Detector started going off, and when she was pushed into the room, she tried to look at who it was, but the door closed with a click. she fell asleep when she inhaled the mist.

When Alex woke up to Yume's worried cried, and then being hugged, she groaned. Ugh, this sucked. She hated being put to sleep unwillingly. she took the offered hand, using the metal detector to prevent her from falling. She saw that there were other people with Yume, But were gone before she could even look at them. That made her blood turn cold. She silently followed Yume, who she only now realised was out of breath. She felt slight Pity for her, knowing how much this would be affecting her. Seeing Koba push Yume away and run off, Alex sighed. She hated running. But Yume... She wasn't Running. She looked at Yume, and then to what Yume was looking at . Mari and Mika, both in coffins. She should have said something. She should have Warned Yume! Damn her for getting used to seeing more people! She winced at Monokumas Voice, and she knew that Yume, Minori and her were all Innocent. Yume was trying to protect everyone, and she doubted Minori doing anything like this.

(Still have yet to do Julian. Too tired rn)

he didn't understand what the mark was, and was trying to get a closer look at it. Would monokuma know?
step0002-jpg.289020

"Could thous be... injection marks? Inner elbow is a common injection site." Yume spoke as she saw Minori discovered and started to investigate the prominent tiny red dot on their inner elbow closely.

"If you look closer, the mark is right on the vein too, it almost seemed like they are professionally injected."

"Could this be their cause of death? A fatal injection? If that's the case...then...it's really odd......" Yume started to ponder, something seemed really odd to her, but she couldn't quite put her finger on it just yet.

"Sorry for the wait, Miss Yukino."
"Come on, we have to make this quick. We should start our search right away, we are racing with time after all."
Hisoka tried to emphasize. Even someone as calm as him appeared to be little worried about this whole ordeal.

Yukino waved it off. "No need to apologise," she explained hurriedly, just realising how long she might have been napping. She grabbed onto her shovel offered by Hisoka. "It wastes too much time. I cannot read your mind but honestly, I don't want to be blown into smithereens." she said as she walked with Hisoka.

She nodded along. Simple, However, it's not going to be that easy to find, she was sure of it. There was an entire forest to cover with tonnes of useless junk scattered everywhere by Monokuma. It would be near impossible for them to find the bombs. She felt her heart beat a bit faster. It was clear that the only choice is for murder in a situation like this. She... didn't want to admit it but Mari could be right. What a terrifying thought.

She shouldn't have gotten her hopes up. "Curse that overstuffed teddybear." She felt that they were being played for fools by Monokuma. She tapped her toes on the floor, impatient.

"Adorable, but useless." Hisoka was rather unhappy with his first treasure, he simply placed the plushie back into the chest and pushed back the heavy chest into it's position.

"Man, these chests are basically impossible to be lifted up with only one man's strength......"

"Ah!" She realised that she was just watching him on, doing all the hard work. She felt a bit guilty. "Do you need help?" she hollered to him.

Yukino noted Hisoka's enthusiasm. It was somewhat strange because he's normally aloof on matters like this. Admittedly, it was probably because of the bombs. He seemed quite competent, she thought while following him. Like she was just a burden to him. She really wanted to help, she really did. She felt bad for not doing anything. Alas, even arguing with him would be a burden.

"Impressive!" She fixed her eyes on the tree top village, holding her shovel next to her. She turned to her companion, Hisoka and said, "You have to say, Monokuma really has a good taste in architecture." To Yukino's disappointment, Hisoka was not listening.

You noticed Hisoka paused for a second, seemingly noticed something as he frowned. He looked to the huge tree as he stood there, seemingly rooted on the ground for long. There are still plenty of spots to be searched but his eyes were somehow fixated on the tree house.

She snapped her fingers in front of him.

Her hairs on her back stood up, clearly on her pale skin as she was wearing her swimsuit. She brought up her shovel and held it like a baseball bat. That's Mari, probably. Yukino's going to die in a skimpy red swimsuit. What a way to die!

Yukino was grateful she didn't just randomly swung her shovel at Mika's general direction. The shovel was put down next to her. "Jesus, Mika! You scared the hell out of me! Why are you here anyway?" She stared at Mika with her bright brown eyes.

step0002-1-jpg.289028

"I...I am glad to see two of you here." She repeated what she said, she seemed to be panting slightly, perhaps from the long staircase that she'll have to climb.

"Um...um..."

"Wait a minute..."

"What detergent!?" Yukino questioned confusedly. Mika was making no sense right now and Yukino did not like it at all. She walked towards Mika, slowly.

Yukino tried to get closer to her. Closer and closer. It was clear she was as confused as ever. This sounded like something a murderer would say before they murder. No. She was just being paranoid. That's it.

"Come on, Mika. Are you okay? How about you follow us for the time being?"

"I don't want to wast any of your time, so, I just want to say... thank you, thank you for being a part of my life. I sincerely hope that all of us would be able to get through this, and keep holding on to our hope no matter what challenges lies ahead of us......"
Mika took a step back and bowed at the two before she slowly paced away from two of you.

Yukino tried following her. What was all this? She's not going to kill someone, is it? Through the underbrush, she followed Mika. She turned her head around frantically. No trace of Mika though. She groaned. What did she mean by all that? She returned to Hisoka. "Lost her. Hope she doesn't get into trouble."

step0002-8-jpg.289021

"Congratulations! Everyone!" All of a sudden, Monokuma's voice echoed throughout the forest through the PA system around the park.

"...Because we are moving on to something much more exciting...upupupu..."

"After a certain amount of time, a Class Trial will begin!!! You know the drill!"
"Good job...and good luck, my dear students!!!"

Right on cue, Monokuma's annoying voice pierced Yukino's ears.
"Dammit!"

step0002-7-jpg.289022

"It happens again...Tsuzaki, we have to meet with the others now."
With no other choice, two of you then aborted from the Treasure Hunt and headed back to the center of the forest to meet up with the others.

"Yes."
"Judging from the situation, the bodies are very likely to be around the westerner part of the forest."
Hisoka deduced and decided to head to the westerner area straight away.

"Look at the bright side, " she addressed Kasumi "We know that you can't be the murderer." She said it in a somewhat disappointed voice. Mari. She was the one who murdered. It was the only sane conclusion considering that she was not of sane mind.

A miserable girl. Yume should really know that this is not her fault. Yukino patted her on her back.
"Hey. It's the murderer's fault that we have to go through all of this. All we have to do is pin it on this traitor."

"We...we will have to do this once again...I am very sorry." Taking a deep breath as she lowered her head in an attempt to hide from the reality momentarily, she then took in a deep breath and exhaled, seemingly mentally preparing herself for another session of investigation.

"Right." Yukino peered into the glass coffins, surprised with what she saw.

She gasped. It was beautiful, Yukino thought. It just looked like the two were just sleeping, not dead. And Mari? She was right Mari was going to be found dead in the forest but it didn't feel right to point that out. A pang of guilt hits her. At first, she thought Mari was going to get killed in the forest but after Mari returned, she thought that Mari was going to murder them all. No matter what, Yukino knew one thing was certain.

"Ryouka's not going to like this." GinkyGotBack GinkyGotBack

If memory served her correctly, Ryouka ran after Mari and Koba ran after Mika. She searched for Koba. She wanted to interrogate him but he was nowhere to be found.

"Hey! Where's Koba?"

Oh well. Yukino started to investigate the layout of the dungeon and the glass coffins alongside Minori. She tried to see the entirety of the dungeon from the entrance to the death room.

She noticed Minori was wiping some dust off from the corpses.

"What are you doing Minori?"

"True. I think we should be able to find the poison and syringe around here, I think."

"But...no, I still think this could mean something...something really...unusual."

"But it could just be my imagination, don't be bothered by me, let's keep collecting clues, then we should be able to unravel everything that happened, for the sake of Mari and Mika."

"Hmmm...." Yukino thought hard. What was common between to two of them? What makes them the same which makes injection odd.

"Ah!" Yukino blurted out loud. "Because Mari and Mika ran off to the jungle, so someone must have found them, got close and attacked; Which rules out almost everyone because almost everyone here was already with their group members which would have told the rest about it so they cannot be the murderers. Which leaves Ryouka and Koba....who liked them respectively."

"Also, they had to get really close to Mari, who's... a bit antisocial before this."

"Yukino, it's still too early to make such conclusion." Yume looked away, clearly a little uncomfortable when Yukino started to accuse Ryoka and Koba right away.

That's not what I meant......

"As I mentioned, perhaps it's better if we focus on collecting clues for now."

If memory served her correctly, Ryouka ran after Mari and Koba ran after Mika. Ryouka was nowhere to be found but at least Koba was here. She walked towards Koba. She wanted to interrogate him but he was nowhere to be found.
Ryoka have not showed up yet, but so is Koba...and Hitsuji.

Yukino started to investigate the layout of the dungeon and the glass coffins alongside Minori. She tried to see the entirety of the dungeon from the entrance to the death room.

As you started to investigate the room, you don't find anything that's unusual, it's to be expected, since someone did spent the time to decorate and clean up this room.
Surprisingly you didn't find any poison or syringe around the room, perhaps the killer disposed it or kept it at somewhere else around this dungeon, or maybe not.

As you walked to a corner of the room Mari and Mika was in, you found something scattered around the ground.
There are many very tiny pieces of paper, some of them with tiny ink blots or some words on them scattered around the ground. It seemed like a letter that was intentionally destroyed, the content of the letter was impossible to be read at this point. You noticed the edges for all the little pieces of paper are perfectly straight.

They look something like this. These are just samples.

"I'm just stating my logic right now." she responded to Yume who was looking quite worried. This made Yukino worry as well. "I'm not accusing them right now but I'm just pointing out how strange this murder is."

"It still is a possibility,though."
she said as she turned towards the rest of the room.

She tried to assemble the paper together, like a puzzle. It was already interesting enough that the edges were straight. It showed that there were scissors of some sort but why would there be a letter in the first place? Where would someone get pen and paper anyway? It was too bad the writing was illegible.

She took note to find scissors after this. She also took note that the words 'HO' and 'PE' could be seen. She was fairly certain that they spell HOPE and not PEHO syndrome.
"Hey! I think I found a letter!"

Minori looked over at her when she spoke, listening, "Yes that could be possible!" she says smiling in response, though she did have to wonder how the killer even got close enough to inject them.

She noticed Minori was wiping some dust off from the corpses.

"What are you doing Minori?"

Minori looked over at Her, "Oh well i noticed that marks were being covered by some kind of make-up possibally, and i was seeing if there were more." she replies, before deciding to mostly finish her check of the bodies.

"Oh!" Yukino exclaimed. She ventured for the answer. "Is it because that there was no poison around? If you can recall the trash the Monokuma wanted us to find, I'm pretty sure poisons are part of the list."

She continued to listen to them. A few times she almost said something before deciding to say nothing. She decided to check the coffins themselves, maybe there was something on them or in them?

There's nothing unusual about the coffins, it seems like they are just for decoration purpose. However, the reason for the killer to do so is still unclear.

She tried to assemble the paper together, like a puzzle.
The pieces of paper flakes are too small. The content of the letter is beyond restoration. It seemed like someone intentionally made it so.

She took note to find scissors after this.
You don't see any scissors around for now. You probably wouldn't find one around anywhere too.

"Everyone. I feel like investigating the crime scene wouldn't be enough, we should focus on investigating other areas of the forest too."
"For instance, me and Tsuzaki actually met with Mika at the Western forest before this. Perhaps we could start from there? That's my advice."

step0002-jpg.289020

"I agree......"
"I actually met Mika during the Treasure Hunt too..."
"We should probably start to investigate other areas too just as Hisoka suggested."

"......"
"I can help to cover as many areas of the forest as possible before the trial......"

step0002-jpg.289020

"I appreciate your help, Kasumi. We really need your expertise in this. Thank you."

"......"

Ryōka had been walking through the forest when he came across a cave. An out of the way quaint little cave, uninviting but mysterious. A place like this would be the perfect hiding place for Mari, he thought. With this in mind, Ryōka entered the cave with his mind and emotions finally in check.

As Ryōka was just about to get into the cave, he had bumped into Koba whom he gave a contemptuous look to as he ran off to who knows where. He could've cared less about the skateboarder and his feelings, but now he couldn't resist seeing what had upset him. Finally entering the cave, Ryōka was surprised that everyone had gathered inside. He knew if they were looking for the bombs or Mari that they would've had to split up, so this could only have meant one thing. Ryōka wordlessly pushed his way through the others, eager to see what had brought them all together.

Ryōka plastered his hand to his mouth and stared at the display before him with shock. He knew they were dead; there was no need to check for their pulses. Ryōka silently made his way to Mari's glass coffin and looked at her as tears began to form in his eyes. Watching her lay so dreadfully still was too much for him to bear. Unlike the last times, when Ryoka would hold back his tears when on the brink of despair, he let his tears flow freely and drip onto the glass. Ryoka dropped to his knees and pressed his head and hands against the coffin, sobbing and gasping without shame. "Why God.. Why couldn't it have been me?" Was the only thing he could manage to sputter out.
