Fantasy Phoenix Academy: School for future heros! (IC closed)

"Uh yeah sure, no problem" A little bummed out, he finished putting all his stuff away. "Man I didn't even flirt with her. Hell, I didn't even learn her name". He sat on his bed and pull up his guitar. Right before he strummed, he realized she wanted peace and quiet. He put his guitar in the corner and began stretching. He put his headphones in and began doing push-ups. He kept the volume low in case he wanted to talk at all. He didn't want to ignore her.

Saoirse Mac Eoghain

Saoirse sighed a bit as she crossed her legs. She felt a bit better knowing that he respected her wishes. Many people wouldn't have done that - she experienced it - so maybe she should've given him the benefit of the doubt. Maybe, but it wasn't very likely that she would anyway. She tended to be extremely judgemental based on first impressions, which was one of her worse traits. Strangely enough, she found no fault in her way of thinking.

Putting her ear buds in her ears and untying the rubber bands that held her two drumsticks, she browsed through her phone before looking up at him apparently exercising. She watched before going back to minding her own business, finding a song to listen to. She put the volume on medium-high so that it wasn't too loud for him to hear and even though it was rather loud, she could still hear. She took the drumsticks and began tapping them on her things while tapping her foot, appearing to be air-drumming. She knew she would look stupid, but since she didn't have her drum set, this was the next best thing. She decided she would probably save up to buy another one later in the year.

Interacting with: John ( AbatedBigfoot AbatedBigfoot )

John started to chuckle when she was drumming in the air. He lost his concentration and fell over. Laughing even harder now. He stood up smiling and began to play the air guitar jumping around and spinning trying to make her laugh. merveille merveille

"Only for your own good...like I said, don't want you getting kicked out this early." The guy said to Lei, as he to began to stand up. "Want to go find Axis? Or do you wanna go have a wander, meet some new people?

Saoirse Mac Eoghain

Saoirse raised her eyebrow slightly, though she understood why he was laughing so much. However, she didn't realize that he was "strumming" an air guitar until she noticed the guitar in the corner. She probably should've realized it as she played the guitar herself, though not as much as she played the drums. She stared at it for a few seconds and smiled slightly, but it wasn't a genuine smile so it faltered quickly before she went back to drumming in the air, though it was closer to her lap rather than looking like she was randomly hitting the air. She then resorted to just drumming softly on her lap.

"Yeah, that part of the speech struck me as odd too..." Price said, replying to Ezra's question. "I think... I think maybe he was saying that, up until now, we haven't really scratched the surface of our powers, or really had a reason to really push them beyond their limits. Er, most of us, anyways," he added, glancing at Gerrant. "But maybe he's trying to tell us that Phoenix will really make or break us as heroes. That's what I got out of it, anyway."

Price looked around as the auditorium began clearing out. The kid in the rafters had jumped down in a somewhat showy display, in Price's opinion. And several large groups of students still loitered around the auditorium, no doubt unsure of where to go or what to do next.

"I haven't even been to my dorm yet, have you, Ezra?" He fished in his pocket for a moment, pulling out his room key. "I'm in... 111. Should probably get going, huh?"

Ezra shook her head no.
"This one hasn't been to her dorm yet. But the principal doesn't know what this one and Gerrant have been through, though she wouldn't know if he knows about her or not. This one needs to be reminded what it means to talk normally in class but she will possibly fail horribly with talking normally. Oh, this one began rambling about her inability to speak normally when we were talking about dorm rooms. She has 104."
She said.

Unexpectedly I'm not the first one to make a jab? Reign was a bit puzzled by Raven's tease, since she had never been on the receiving end. Well, it was to be expected since being gay had only recently gained acceptance where she lived in Germany. However, rather than let herself get stopped by the slight shock, she decided to play along. Reign quickly advanced to in front of Raven, walking backwards with a smirk. "While I can't deny that Raven in a bikini would be a sight to see... Although, it's a problem if you don't know what 'fun' is." Reign winked at Raven. "Anyways, I really do enjoy swimming, you know?" However, Reign quickly lost the smirk after the fun was had and turned around, thinking seriously on the question of what to do. "What to do... Well, to be honest, I have a lot of things I need to do, and not a lot I want to do. My power needs a lot of money to sustain, you know? Since I'm not some lawless villain, I can't go around stealing diamonds and pencils to use the carbon from. Plus, I'm going to be buying ingredients to cook myself. So I need to find a job nearby. Swimming would be nice, but I actually don't have a bathing suit on me, and it's still up in the air if there even is a pool."

"... I guess, in terms of fun, that leaves playing games, maybe even with a few others?"
Reign came to the conclusion, but she didn't really want to go out of her way to meet people before classes started. It would be easier to socialize in a preset environment, after all. Going around and knocking on doors wasn't her thing.

Unless there were hot girls, but there's already one present and there's no need for more than one.

Raven couldn't help but develop a blush at what Reign said "well I wasn't sure if my definition of fun would match yours..." then she listened carefully to what she said. "If we really wanted to go swimming the town isn't too far away. But, I suppose we could try to find somthing to do here. Maybe make some new friends ?" She asked, one hand on her hip as she spoke to her newfound friend, looking her in the eyes as Raven was raised to do. It's the respectful thing to do.

Nodding with a smile at Saoirse retirement, Thompson was kind of hesitant on what things to do next. He had the rest of the day opened, so keeping the dorm as a surprise for the end was the best option. Wandering through the stairs, he stood up and left the auditorium, his hands on his pockets while walking. His mood was getting kind of darker while he had reached what was looking like a garden. There was nobody. "Damn it..." He mumbled. "Damn it." He said. "Damn it!" He said out louder while clunching his fist. "DAMN IT ALL !" A black line formed, striking out the ground leaving a medium hole on the grass. He looked at the trees that was around him, bitting his lips. "I told to myself that this guy who came in a theatral entrance was dumb, but he was extremely powerful. And that's is the same with the others students around... That's crazy." He sat down on the grass, forming some tears. "In all of the powers i could obtained, it was one of the worst. I won't stand a chance for my revenge..." After cleaning up his short tears, he sighed while staring at the lac that was near him. "I'm all alone, again. I lied today to somebody once more."

"Oooo, yea lets find find Axis! He said he'd be at the main office." Lei rushed for the door, waiting for you there like a small child. Most of her actions could be summed up to be childish and hyper. "Ready when you are!"

John stopped when his dancing was ignored. Frowning, "Man, I thought she'd at least laugh and not give a slight grin.". He looked out the window at what appeared to be a garden. "Hey there's a new person" he was puzzled when he saw him shake his hands. "hmm wonder what's up with him" he looked back at his roommate "Hell she won't care." He opened the window and leaped out. Landing wasn't perfect but he didn't want to show what his power was yet. "Hey you okay out here?"

(Sorry for the wait, i was travelling but i'm here now !)

After leaving the sight of the lake, he heard something loud behind him. With a quick reflex, he took a step back and stared at the boy that was in front of him for several seconds. "Did he saw me?.." He shook his head. "Thanks for the concern... But what do you want?"

He said with his tone not taking a friendly tone but rather an annoyed one at the end of his sentence and frowned. He was really ashamed by the fact that he didn't even noticed that he was near a window.

"Look pal, I'm not here to my enemies. You looked a little upset so I was curious as to what was going on. You were shaking your hands and next thing I new, you made a hole in the ground. I'm just trying to help out" John didn't really know what he was saying. He was trying to hide the fact that he was a tad bit scared of what his power was. Sure his dragon scales would protect him from most attacks but he didn't see how he managed to put a hole in the ground. He changed his stance ever so slightly just in case he had to go on the defensive side. He would never start a fight especially towards another student but he was prepared to defend himself and finish the job if need be. "Look, if it will make you feel better, I'll leave and go else where. I'm John by the way".

"You... You're not mocking me?" For a moment, his eyes widened, showing his surprised look upon those words. It was one of the rare moment where he didn't knew what to think anymore. During the past, Thompson used to received taunt from the powerful persons in a sort of street tournament he had join. Succeeding at doing what was impossible, he did something in order to obtained his power. Happy and blinded by both joy and egocentrism, it is kind of hard to do a summary of why he was like that day. Let's just say that he was knock down, several times by his first fight on the arena he was in. Laugh and insult soon came all over, and he just ran away from this. Since that day, it at took a lot of time until Thompson power was used again because of this event who had severely injured his mind. It was a week ago, when the letter from the academy came. Looking down on the grass, a small tear traveled his cheek, he cleared it before smiling while looking back at the boy who came here. "John, please don't leave..." He was kind of hesitant to said that, but this guy gave him hope. It was those moments where you felt like it would never came again. "No one... ever told me before... That he would want to help me out. If you really want to help me, please let us fight together in a friendly battle. No hard injuries involved, just a training between us, here and right now." Maybe this fight could proved to himself that he wasn't useless, that he could do something here. He waited patiently the answer of John, his eyes sparkling with determination. It was a long time since he felt like that.

(I hope it's not too cringy LOL)

(Shit just got real XD)
John was stunned at the offer. "Are you sure you want to do this? I'm not bragging but I don't want to hurt you at all". John didn't really know what to think. His inner dragon gives him abilities beyond normal human capabilities. Plus, he was still reluctant about showing anyone his powers yet. "As long as I don't transformer or anything, I should be good. But then again, if he hits me my scales will come out to protect me" muttered to himself. He stared at him and waited for his reply.

"Honestly, I'd rather wait to meet new people... At the very least, I don't want to go knocking on doors and taking the initiative to start something. I would probably just leave a bad impression with a crappy introduction or something offensive by accident..." Reign muttered the last part of her response, not really intending Raven to hear. Reign lifted her arm up, scratching behind her ear. "Ah... Why couldn't classes have started today~? Life would be easier..." Reign sighed in the end and turned around again, walking backwards with the corners of her mouth ever slightly turned down. "I really do have things I need to do after we get to the dorm, like I said. It's not like you need to stick around me, though. You could go and find people to do things with while I do boring stuff."

(Yeah, i'm liking it !)

Thompson nodded, taking a serious expression. What he was saying wasn't really the truth but his past should remained a total mystery. "Getting myself hurt is the last of my worries... Plus, i will die of boredom if i don't train myself with anyone." For a short while he closed his eyes for a moment as it almost sounded like that every noises around were interrupt as only the wind could be heard between him and John, the herb moving slowly. As he opened his eyes, his shadows slowly dismissed behind him with a large black line that soon replaced it, waving around depending of the movements that Thompson was doing. "Shall we dance?"

After that being said, he placed his left leg behind, like a runner before his course. He ran in John's direction before stopping his course with a worried look. "Wait..." He forced a scoff while looking embarrassed. "Now that i think about it... Wanna go to the training place to do this? It would be better because we're near the dorms and i think that we both don't want a teacher to think we're fighting for real."

Price nodded slowly, looking at Ezra.
"Yeah, it... well it won't be easy here with the way you talk. Not that there's anything wrong with it, in my opinion, but I've heard some things about some teachers here... You already said the receptionist in the office gave you a hard time, right? It might put you in some... situations. But hey, if any students try giving you trouble, I got your back!" Price said, grinning widely and giving a big thumbs-up.
"I'll see ya around. I'm gonna go drop my stuff off in my room," he said, turning off towards the dorm, dragging a rolling suitcase behind him.

But before he got too far, he stopped suddenly and walked back. "I almost forgot, here," he reached into his pocket and pulled out a small notebook, along with a pen, wrote something down quickly, tore the sheet out and handed it to Ezra. "Here. It's my phone number. We can can keep in touch this way, compare schedules and stuff later if you want."

Then he turned around and hurried off towards the dorm.

Raven was slightly disheartened at her words. "Ok. Well. I can always follow you to the dorm and check it out. I-If you wanted that..." she looked around at there surroundings. "I don't know... I'm hardly a social butterfly. I might just... draw." She pulled her satchel to her front and gif into it, retrieving a sketchbook. "I guess I'll... see you later?" She asked, not knowing where the day would lead.

"Ready." Howard said as he began moving down the row again.

Once he was out, he waited for Leit to exit to, before heading for the door. When the door was reached, he pushed through it, opening it up for the little girl behind him.

He peaked over to see if Lei was following, then he remembered something. "Hey Lei, what's your room number?"

"Uh... 212... Why?" Lei was following him. "You want to be a roommate? Or are you just trying to be my boyfriend?" She joked, puffing her cheeks with a cute smile. Her eyes widened a tiny bit, realizing she could get flicked again for that.

(Sorry for the late response busy day)
John readied himself when he started running. When he stopped, he was puzzled. After hearing him, he agreed. "Makes sense, I'd rather not get kicked out already." He looked and started walking to the doors. "plus, if I unleash my fire breath, I might burn the flowers. I don't have the money to fix that". He turned and looked at his opponent. "Do you know where we go?".

Oliver

A late taxi pulled up along the dirt road that lay a few hundred feet away from the entrance to the academy. It came to an uneasy stop, the tires kicking the gravel and dust a couple inches into the air before it went silent. "Here we are." Said the driver, who then turned in his seat to look back at the kid in the back, resting his elbow on the shoulder of the cushion. He turned his gaze to the school. "Phoenix Academy for Future Heroes. That's what people have been calling it. Ya know, I've had a dream once about dropping someone off here. It wasn't you of course I jus-..." He trailed off when he looked to the boy again. The teenager in the back remain silent, staring out the window at the building. "Ya know," He started up again. "There are some people out there who think ya guys are freaks. Some even fear ya. 'Specially after that incident in New York." The driver let out a brief chuckle before continuing. "But uh... I think you guys can do great things; Grow to be as fantastic as you want to be. That's why this place exists ain't it? To help ya understand your abilities, and realize that in a way, yer just as human as the rest of us?" The boy once again said nothing, and the driver gave a little shrug and shifted in his seat again, facing forward and placing his hand on the steering wheel. "Anyway kid..." He said while adjusting his mirror. "Good luck in there, get stronger. Learn how to use what is special about you, okay?" There was a pause, and the driver looked in his mirror at the boy. He was about to say something more, but was relieved to see the boy finally reach over, grab his bag and open the door.

Oliver's feet crunched beneath him as he planted them into the golden brown dirt path. He closed the door behind him and the taxi didn't hesitate to make on it's way. Oliver stood there for a long time, staring at the academy as though waiting for something magnificent to happen to signify his arrival, but nothing happened. Soon the sound of the taxis engine faded in the distance. How could it have come to this? His parents were such horrible people, and it took him being unwanted by them to have noticed this. They spared no time at all delving into the web and looking for a place to put him. Although he supposed that was a kind gesture as they had not just tossed him out onto the street like they so easily could have done, and legally now that he was eighteen. Thinking on in alone caused his face to heat up, and he was sure if he got any angrier at his life, his head might burst into flames.

In order to prevent his self-destruction, Oliver shook his head to clear it, and picked up his bags, slinging his duffel over his shoulder and picking the other two up one at a time. Now began perhaps the longest, most tedious event of his life. He began forward, heaving his belongings with him with a slight struggle.

Sometimes he wandered if he was dreaming. It seemed like there was no way he could have been a meta. How many of them were at this school? We're there some normal, human, staff members, or did the whole place consist of meats? He bit his lip harder than he had liked, but he remained in this area, walking ever slowly toward this school.

After what felt like forever, he arrived at the courtyard. There was a fantastic fountain with perfectly clear water in the middle of it. Trees were surrounding the area, radiant with brilliant blue and purple flowers, and leaves so green it made the color green itself stand out among them. There were a few students scattered around the area, talking amongst each other. Seeing as he was later than most, Oliver had expected to see a lot more of them around.

Nevertheless, he moved onward, making his way along one of the cobblestone paths, heading past the fountain and some students, before coming up to the front entrance. This was the office for sure. The bold lettered sign above the door revealed this. He pushed open the doors and walked in. Inside there were a great deal more students, milling about, entering and exiting through doors, and chattering excitedly. Fortunately he wasn't the only late one, as there was a small line in front of the reception counter. He immediately stepped in behind the other students, though there wasn't any threat of the line getting tremendously longer.

After some time, the line diminished, allowing Oliver to reach the desk. Behind it sat a rather plump, bespectacled, lady, who peered up at Oliver from where she sat. "Hello, and welcome to Phoenix Academy for Future Heroes. If this is not your first year here, please enter the line to the left of you, but judging by the glowing in your eyes, I imagine you are in fact new sweetie?" Her voice was somewhat high pitched, and she seemed to be forcing it to sound that way.

"I, er um..." Oliver gathered himself. "Yes my name is, uh, Oliver. Uhm, Oliver Evanston." He said, trying hard not to stumble over his words. The lady behind the counter looked back at her computer and typed a on the keyboard for a moment. "Oliver... Yes Oliver Evanston. Here you are!" She said in her squeaky voice. She looked back at Oliver from the computer. "Yes I'd say that's you." She confirmed to herself and turned once more to the monitor, typing for another few seconds. She reached down and opened a cabinet of sorts, flipping through files until finally she said; "Ah! Here we go." She sat back up and passed Oliver a slip of paper which showed his schedule for each day, then handed him a card with his name, and picture on it, followed by a golden crest in the shape of a Phoenix. "That is your schedule and your school ID, and..." She stood up, causing the chair she sat on to creak with relief. The wall behind her was covered in organised keys, like in hotels. The lady reached up and plucked one off the third row down, swirling around and handing it to Oliver enthusiastically. "The key to your dormitory." She smiled and Oliver took the key along with his ID and schedule. "Your room number is 111. We hope to see great things from you Mr. Evanston." She said the last part as though it had been the millionth time she had said it, false pleasure almost visibly oozing from her lips as she spoke.

Oliver turned and almost bumped into someone. "Shit! Hey, watch it would ya?" A boy a few inches taller than Oliver recoiled from him, grimacing in brief frustration, and almost spilling his coffee. "What are you blind or somethin'?" He spat.

"Sorry. Wasn't looking where I was going." Oliver frowned a bit and stared back at the teen, silently daring him to continue. "Yeah, well maybe you should." He said before trudging past annoyed. A last thought occurred to Oliver and he quickly turned and looked to the teen. "Hey where is everybody?" He called after the speedy student. "We all just got out of the auditorium. Weren't you there?" He called back sounding even more annoyed, and disappeared through a set of doors. "Thanks..." Oliver sighed and looked around, clueless as to what he should do.

He nodded will waving his left hand around like a gesture you use when talking, getting kicking out the 1st day would be very bad. He was really intrigued when he heard about fire stuffs. "Yeah, i got a plan of the school when i first enter here." After walking out of the garden, it was in no time that he had traveled toward the training field. Stretching himself up, he glanced around waiting for John to come. This place was a lot better for doing this.

John followed close behind. He began stretching. His heart started to race. He never battled with another person with powers. He was slightly worried at the fact of not knowing what he could do but at the same neither did he. They both were at the same advantage. John began thinking to himself. "Okay, as long as he doesn't hit me, and I can best him in hand to hand combat he won't know what my power is." John started going through various moves he could do. Chachalotte Chachalotte
