Mario's HLW-6 is now equipped with a fancy infrared scope that allows him to see and fight in the dark and adds a +1 to Strike. Please add this "Infrared Targeting Scope" (that is the name of the item) to Mario's character sheet immediately.

- Psychie. *rolls* Result = 85. Best they can do for Toph and her pistol is add a laser sight (+1 to Strike, but remember that unlike a scope, the laser can be easily tracked back to its source = Toph). Please write "Laser Sight" on your character sheet noting that it adds a +1 to Strike.

Quick question about my eventual Dual Wield (Ranged) skill that I want to pick up. Is it a single roll made for both weapons, or will there be a roll for the primary hand and a second roll for the secondary hand with the -4 to hit?
 
Depends. It works otherwise just like W.P. Paired Weapons in melee (Shadow Chronicles, page 283 or page 192 in the Deluxe Edition - Yes, I'm a nerd and have both. The former is signed, the latter is hardcover). =)

IIRC, it involves a single roll, but I'd have to look at the books to confirm it.
 
No, Sherwood. If you attack separate targets, each requires its own roll. The single roll is if only attacking one target.
 
I hadn't even considered the possibility of attacking two different targets. Interesting, and good to know.
 
Oh yeah. Having practiced this in Real Life, when against multiple opponents, having a real weapon in each hand is definitely a step up from just having one.
 
Mario will stick with his heavy laser, and leave the dual weapon fighting to Toph.
 
Well, Toph doesn't yet have W.P. Ranged Weapons (I put a prerequisite having to be 3rd level in it). Oh, and to be specific, the "P" in Mario's tricked-out HPW-6 is for Plasma, not laser. =)
 
I thought that the weapon I got was the HLW-6, with the pulse laser as a sidearm.
 
IIRC, I requested the HLW. It has better range and uses up slightly less power per shot, giving me more per magazine than the HPW.
