How's everyone doing today? I'm feeling lonely. I haven't lived on my own in a little more than a decade, and it's a hard adjustment. My eldest sister and her husband come out every couple of weeks to hang out, which helps, and I talk to my best friend a lot, but he lives over 600 km away now, and 8 hours is a long way to drive for a cup of coffee.

I can imagine that’s very difficult for you 😔
Thats good that your sister and BIL are able to visit.

I ended up with a bolt and washer in my tire so I had to spend my one day off getting that taken care of. Now I’m stuck in bed too 🥴

I've been sick with a respiratory infection X(
Can't sleep cause I've been coughing so much

Try sleeping in a chair or elevate your head with pillows. It'll help with breathing; it won't be an instant cure and probably damn uncomfortable, but you may fall asleep easier.

I might try that tonight! It's been nearly a week now of this OTL

Respiratory infection sucks a lot. It takes about two weeks to fully recover, and the symptoms always seem to get worse before getting better. Just make sure you go to the ER if your breathing becomes shallow, this is the inflammation of the lung tube, gotta be wary.

Sometimes it really does feel like it's getting worse rather than better OTL
At the very least, I'm not coughing up as much gross gunk, anymore.
I'll head to the ER if I feel like I need to!

I slept on the couch the whole time I had covid. It’s easier to sleep upright like that!

Please take care of yourself. A respiratory infection is what ended up killing my mother. In addition to sleeping upright, make sure you stay hydrated. Hot & warm beverage do great work towards keeping your respiratory tract lubricated. Also taking a hot shower and breathing in the steam. Or boil a pot of water, put your head over it, and cover both yourself and the pot in a large towel to trap the steam. You'll sweat like crazy, but it works.

I used pillows to prop myself up last night and it worked pretty well! I was able to get a full night's sleep, finally!
I'm making sure to take really hot showers and drinking plenty of cough syrup. Maybe I'll make myself a cup of tea tonight, but I hate warm drinks :(

I finally have my laptop up again, so I'm going to work on at least one of the posts I owe 😊

I hope you get better soon! Currently caught the flu and I’m coughing my soul out as well. Just make sure to avoid both alcohol and coffee, since they dehydrate you.

Also, who doesn’t like warm drinks?!

I hate alcohol and don't drink coffee, so winning there! :D

IDK what it is about them, I just don't really like hot drinks. I like to drink my water as close to ice cold as possible. But when I'm sick the warm feels pretty nice :)

The worst thing about being a groomer is my hands bleed from the shampoos. They hurt so bad right now 😅

I don’t drink a lot of hot drinks either. My coffee is almost always iced coffee. On the rare occasion I drink alcohol it’s usually Baileys with cold brew or iced coffee in it 🤣

I have started drinking hot tea though, for immune support. I finally found some I like. But yeah, I definitely prefer freezing cold drinks.

I'm not a huge fan of ice cold drinks. It always gives me painful hiccups. Nor do I drink a lot of alcohol. I enjoy it, but I rarely crave it. I have liquor in my cabinet that's been there for at least 4 years. Hot tea or coffee? Yes please.

Is my birthday :D
Happy Birthday GIF

I know we were waiting on viloxii for a post. I sent her a dm asking if she was still interested, and depending on the answer I'll get an Emory post out soon!
