Avalon- a beautiful and magical city filled to the brim with wizards, mages, witches and creatures of all manor. Protected by a magical force field, the Avalonians live in relative peace but what happens when a witch falls in love with the wrong human? Unimaginable carnage. Stella Nightshade, a beautiful young witch, fell in love with a human knight from the kingdom of Camelot and the boy used her to gain access to the fabled city of Avalon. For seven days, the city burned as war ran rampant in the streets whilst every magical man, woman, and child fought desperately for their lives. The ruler of Avalon, a sorceress by the name of Morgana Le Fay, made one last attempt to expel the human filth from her kingdom and casted a spell that hid Avalon from mortal eyes for thousands of years years.
the immortal Morgana lowered her shielding after nearly four thousand years with the intent on using the powers she had accumulated to take over the mortal world and exact her revenge, Not knowing the world had advanced the way it did, Morgana and her followers the Avalonians now hide amongst the human population waiting for the perfect time to strike not knowing the knights of Camelot have been preparing for this moment.
Rp plot:
This rp will take place in modern times(2022) a year after Morgana Le Fay lowered the shield that kept them all protected and eternally youthful. Many Avalonians have adapted to human life and live amongst the population but there is a small group that has stayed loyal to Morgana and plans to help her exact her revenge. You will be able to choose between serving Morgana as a soldier of Avalon or a knight of the rountable to participate in a war spanning lifetimes.
Welcome to my new Rp called Gates of Avalon. This rp is about a city of magic being forced into hiding by humans only to re-emerge centuries later to exact their revenge but has to face a blockade of an authorial manner. You will be able to cast magic spells of any proportion, wield magic weapons, ride on the backs of dragons, and doing so all while trying to thwart the plans of the opposite group. I would like this rp to pretty much be a sandbox where you can do almost everything you want. Want to use magic to take over an entire city and enslave the population? Go for it! You want to ride dragons through New York while battling a spell casting maniac? By all means have fun. Almost everything will be accepted as long as it doesn’t directly affect the collective rp members without their prior approval. I have lore and roles written up so if anyone is interested I will post them!
Avalonian Roles:
High King Sorcerer- Reigns over Avalon with the help of her under kings, position is still held by Morgana Le Fay (open)
Under Kings each have an army of their own race that report directly to them.
Druid King- serves as the representative of the Druids, usually considered the strongest Druid. Manages all magical creatures in the kings army. (Me/open)
Wizard King- serves as representative of the wizards of Avalon. Serves as the kings engineer as is always creating new spells or weapons (reserved Huntertabbysandshark3 )
Witch King- Serves as the representative of the witches, always has a familiar. Serves as the kings spy and assassin. (Open 0/1)
Dark King- Serves as the representative for the Umbramancers, typically borders the line between treason and scheming by engaging in deals with the Arthurian soldiers for information. (Open 0/1)
Proprietor- an Avalonian who is in training to take over a king position, handpicked and trained by the king of that time

Arthurian ranks
All Knights are equipped with magical weapons and armor enchanted by the King’s mage. These weapons are specific to the knight and can have a number of different enchantments that help them battle Avalonians.
Knight King- leader of the round table, descendant of King Arthur. (Reserved Gaius Danius Griinia )
King’s Mage- A Druid or sorcerer that serves the king, can be descendant of Merlin (reserved AbyssFlower )
The Teacher- A knight of the round table who specializes in training new knights, they are considered the most experienced fighter.

Magic ranking:
Low: little innate magic ability, can only cast simple spells without the help of enchantments.
Mid- the average spell caster, able to decently cast most common magic without the help of enchantments
High- talented spell casters, able to perform high level spells without the help of enchantments.
Godly- highest level of spell casting, able to reshape reality itself on a whim.
Avalonian races
Wizard(both male and female)- uses stones and talismans to perform energy based magic. Commonly uses staffs or amulets.
Magic Ranking: low to mid
Witch(both male and female)- draws power from glyphs and sigils typically drawn with blood or enchanted ink, one of 3 classes that allow the use of familiars. Carriers a book of glyphs and spells called a grimoire.

Sorcerer/sorceress- invokes magic through enchantments and words of power spoken in various languages, sorcerers are able to change and warp reality itself through sheer willpower and are considered one of the dangerous trio. one of three classes the allows the use of familiars. Known to have enchanted talismans to boost their magic but do not require them as a wizard does.
Magic ranking: High to Godly
Druid- druids invoke elemental magic and have a strong connection with nature. Their magic is either cast through sheer willpower or strong emotions. One of three classes that allow the use of familiars and are part of the dangerous trio. All druids have a animal spirit that takes form once they reach a certain level of magical aptitude (age of 12 for most) these spirits take the flesh form of animals and will greatly increase their masters magical ability over time.
Magic Ranking: Mid to Godly
Umbramancer- specialize in dark ritualistic magic than often calls upon inhuman creatures, the power of necromancy, control over darkness, and mastery of necromancy. Umbramancers complete the dangerous trio.

Magic lore
All magic comes from the source, which unknown to most, comes from the Greek goddess Hecate, the goddess of magic. Long ago, Hecate was slain in spite by Zeus and as she fell into a crystal clear lake, she blessed her blood as it touched the water to create a new source of magic for her children. This lake was deemed the River of Avalon and the city of Avalon was built ontop of it. There are serval ways to cast magic, be it verbal, mental, but all require focus, life blood(mana) and a conduit to work with the only exception being sorcerers .
Conduits
Conduits are what help an Avalonian channel their magic.
Types of conduits-
Wizards- enchanted stones, staffs
Witches- Grimoires
Sorcerer/sorceress- not needed
Druid- spirit animal, nature
Umbramancer- darkness, strife, death
Familiars and Spirit animals
(Familiars are always visible and will be mistaken for a pet to humans)
Familiars are animals that have been given magically ability by an avalonian and posses abilities such as speech, minor spell casting, and empowering their master to a certain degree
(Spirit animals can take the form of a tattoo and will not come out unless is called by name or senses their master’s danger)
Spirit animals are powerful earth spirits that take the form of an animal and are bound to a Druid for life. Spirit animals have many abilities such as dream walking, speech, spell casting, and transformation. Spirit animals also empower their Druid master to a greater degree.
Familiar / Spirit animal possession
Avalonians have the ability to allow their familiars or spirit animals posses their human body to give them great strength, speed, and higher magical ability. During a possession, the avalonian can utilize their familiar or spirit animal’s natural ability such as flight, strength, speed, or stealth.
Avalonian Physiology
Avalonians are similar to humans in many ways but will always have one distinguishing feature that lets them stand apart from their magic-less cousins. Common features are, glowing colored eyes, strange skin shades, and pointed ears.
Strength- Avalonians are naturally stronger than normal men due to the life blood. One Avalonian has the strength of 4 men
Enhanced senses- all Avalonians have enhanced senses such as animal like hearing and eyesight.
Agility- most if not all Avalonians have some sort of advanced agility whether it be acrobatics, flight, or super speed
