"It's be more noble if I could remember anything about them." He said. "I don't remember about my life other than the pain of plunging a wooden stake into my heart." He said. He pulled out a journal. "Looked through what I assumed was my belongings. Tracked down what I hope is my last little by little. You know the scariest about being an undead?" He asked. He waited a second before answering. "My past is all guest work. The people I provide for. They don't even know I exist. Which is fine. Because the scariest part is knowing that I will might never know for sure if Liam Weston is who I really am."
He sure had a ruff time, not being able to remember his family. Just the pain of ending his life. Amelia noticed the journal in the corner of her eyes as he looked through it. "What...?" She asked when he asked what the scariest thing about being an undead was. The women was quite surprised he had opened up so much to her. Telling her a bit about his past, she really didnt know what to say. The last thing he said really stuck with her.
"Look at that." He said. "Barely know you and I'm spillong all my secrets. Guess I learned another thing about myself. Can't resist a pretty face." He said. "we're here."
Amelia lightly chuckled shaking her head as she looked out to the massive desert in front of them. She stopped the vehicle as they reached their destination. Climbing out of the Hover Hauler she looked out just ahead of them "the rumor is the Rancor in this area is large and has quite the temper.."
"Well then. I'll get it's temper going. It follows me. I trust you can make the shot?" He asked.
"the crate in the back has its bait if you want to use it.....its extremely rank.... but it will lure the creature out of hiding" She commented as she picked up the large bazooka "you can trust me sweetheart, I'm quite the shoot," she said with a wink.
If he could he would blush. "I don't breath remember?" He took the bait and went to the cave."
"right lucky you..." Amelia commented making sure to stay away from the direction of the wind when Liam opened the crate. Just the thought of the fermenting meat made her want to throw up. She waited until he was at a good distance before moving into position.
He took out the rancid meat and threw it feet a way from the Rancor. "Wake up ya big ugly brute! When that didn't work he took his revolver and fired into the ceiling.
When Liam threw in the rancid meat the Rancor slightly moved, turning its back to Liam as it continued to sleep. After shooting at the ceiling rocks fell one hitting the rancor on hits back and one of it head waking up the beast. It roared in anger having been awaken from its slumber. Turning towards Liam it swiped at him sending Liam and the rancid meat flying out of the cave.
He rolled on the ground a few seconds and laid there motionless.
Amelia was standing next to the Hover Hauler as she held on to the bazooka watching the cave. A roar was heard that echoed through the cave before Liam and the meat went flying out the cave. "Shit!.. Liam!" She yelled watching the man laid motionless. "Scout! Go" she motioned with her head and Scout took off towards the Rancor. The rancor charged out of its cave about to swip at Liam once more. The small robot zipped around the beast grabbing its attention. Hitting the creature with its lazer, not enough to hurt it but enough to pis it off. "Thats it scout!, bring him to me" Amelia yelled out to Scout as the robot had the Rancor chasing him. "Just a little closer" the women whispered before firing the bazooka. The force of the gun pushing her back a bit against the veachel, as the shot hit the creature.
It was knocked out.
"Good work Scout" she praised the little robot as it beeped happily. Amelia checked on the beast, seeing it was knocked out she ran down to the mouth of the cave to check on Liam.
Liam's skull was detached from his Jody which was flailibg around trying to find him. "Over here. Left. No not that way you bag of bones." He said to his own body. There was a large crack in his skull but it was healing.
Amelia watched as Liam's headless body walked about. Truly that would have frighten her a bit, not to say it wasn't a bit freaky. She now knew he was undead and not just some skeleton alien. "Need some help?..." she asked crouching down next to his head.
"Yes please." He said.
Amelia chuckled reaching out and gently picked up Liams skull. This had to be the weirdest thing she done, holding a disembodied head while trying to get it back on to its body. Reaching the body she placed the skull back on its neck. Behind her was Scout holding on to Liams hat in its legs.
Once back on his body he took his hat. "Thank you."
"no problem..." Amelia replied "now let's get this Rancor to Jabba"
He nodded, "Yeah let's do that," He said.'
Amelia nodded and walked back to the Hover Hauler. Climbing on to the back she unclocked the chains and started to chain up the Rancor.
Liam wealked over and started to help her chain it up. "Sure is a beautiful beast ain't he." He said. Not the term most people would use but he looked at it. She would assume that he was looking at it as fondly as a skeleton that couldn't make facial expressions could.
"in its own way, he is a beautiful beast" she agreed as she finished chaining up the Rancor.
