Where do you find your character images?

Pinterest and Tumblr are my personal go-to places for face claims and art.

I just go to google images, sometimes Comic-Vine.

I usually use the images of google to help me out. But I become very specific, like I start typing out things like...


"25 year old male black trench coat" And I'll get things that pertain to my character, without a bunch of random things. Usually being specific about the clothing your character will typically use can help you out in the long run (Anime is also your friend. It's very easy to find character pictures from there.) Take that from someone who isn't the biggest fan of anime, or even like anime at all.

Google, for the most part. Funnily enough, I tend to google for pictures first, find the image I like the most, and then create my characters based on said image.


It's easier.

On Google Images, I just look up "Anime..." And then fill in the blank with whatever you want your character to be. An angel? Demon? And something decent should pop up.

Most of my characters are in pastel-style. There's just something I love about the artform. Real yet surreal.


Naturally, I go to Deviantart. Drop a couple relevant keywords and go to town.


If you're looking for real people specifically, though, Model Mayhem isn't bad.
