Lucid dreams. A funny thing, truly. The ability to control one’s dreamscape, to warp reality as ever you may see fit. It sounds like a science fiction novel. To be specific, an amateur science fiction novel. But it is real. Too real. And for those who have unlocked the secret to these dreams, have unlimited power.

But one such group has taken it too far. They have spread the secret to everyone they can, no longer so secretive anymore. And these people....they were unprepared for the chaos it could cause. For, you see, monsters exist in dreams. And even these monsters cannot be controlled.

The world would never have enough weapons to face this threat.

So, basically, don’t go spreading secrets kids. Won’t end well for you. And lucid dreams are basically a gateway to both good and bad things. The whole plot is that everyone having lucid dreams has widened tears in the dimensional veil, bringing dreamscape monsters into the real world. Now, there are two options:

One-
We can have people immediately band together to stop the monsters

Or....

Two-
We can have monsters take over the planet, apocalypse style setting. Years pass, typical Earth-coming-back-to-life stuff. And then humans have adapted and can now fight the monsters
