Turnabout

[IceQueen]

Yui looked down, trying not to look at there table. Looking would cause her more pain. Even if she didn't care very much anymore, since there was nothing she could do, it still hurt every time. Even though she looked like she was fine and dandy, every day she was dying inside. With Shou was the only place she found a small part of happiness.

 

[Joker]

Their orders finally arrived as he thanked the waitress and looked at his plate and glances at Yui who felt the same way. " Well, let's eat. " he says as he thanked for the food and started to dig in slowly. It was delicious, but his mother's homemade food was better. Still, it wasn't that bad until once again he catches a glimpse of Mei on the other table.

Yui sighed quietly, the date becoming increasingly awkward because of the two people at the other table. She slowly took a bite of her chicken, savoring it. She wanted to eat slow on one hand, but on the other, she wanted to get out of here as fast as possible. The two of them where bringing up bad memories as they shared a meal.

 

[Joker]

Trying to break the ice, Shou tried to start a conversation. " Good place huh ? " he asks her as he laughs nervously trying not to show his annoyance of the situation. He hasn't been this awkward for a long time now and just seeing Mei here made it even worst. Shou would like to cry but that would only be stupid and childish so he just tried his best in supressing his feelings.

 

[IceQueen]

Yui nodded. "Yeah. It's really nice." She said, laughing the same as him. She could feel the air grow heavy with awkward silence, the background sounds of the restaurant filling and the date across the restaurant filling her ears as they sat there, eating. Normally, it wasn't this heavy, and she was starting to wonder weather he was really over her.

 

[Joker]

" Mhm.. " he nods at her agreement and finishes his chicken has he moves on to his Parfait dessert. This was his favorite dessert in the restaurant as he took a scoop of it with the spoon and started to enjoy it's contents. " Want some ? It's good. " he offers her a scoop from his Parfait and gives her a smile.

 

[IceQueen]

Yui smiled, his smile easing up the tension a bit. "Sure." She said, taking the parfait off the spoon, licking her lips free of cream when she was done. "Hmmm." She said, closing her eyes to savor the taste. Mei and Jason where pushed to the other side of her mind as she felt the flavors of the desert enter her stomach.

 

[Joker]

He smiles at her satisfied look and nodded. The Parfait was really good indeed as he finishes up the rest of it and waits for Yui to finish hers. He then checks his watch to see it was nearly movie time and then checked his phone for any message. There was nothing but spam messages on his phone as he closed and he placed it back in his pocket as he watch waited for Yui with a smile.

Yui finished her parfait, licking her lips to make sure she didn't have any embarrassing spots of cream on her face. She smiled up at him, ready to go. "Alright then. I guess we can go." She said, standing up slowly from her chair. She still had a smile plastered on her face, as she had forgotten completely about Mei and Jason.

 

[Joker]

Shou nodded and smiled at Yui as well. He asked for the bill as the waitress came and brought it as Shou checked the bill. It wasn't much, but he was new to the fact that he is paying for two person now. He always eats here by himself since this place is a secret, for him at least. Not even Taka knows that Shou eats here from time to time. But Shou was right in not telling Taka since Taka eats for four people. He's martial arts training allows him to eat more and Shou knows that.


" Let's wait for the change. " he says as he leans back on the chair huffing. He is very satisfied of the meal as always.

Yui smiled and sat back down, doing the same as him. "This has really been a good date so far." She said, blushing. "The first date I have had too." She said, her face a light shade of pink. She smiled, closing her eyes and wishing this warmth would never leave her side for as long as she lived. Alas, that was never true.

 

[Joker]

" Y-yeah.. " he agrees as he stutters again. He has never been in a date before so he doesn't know if he should call this a date or not. Shou smiles as the waitress comes back with the change for their bills. He takes it as he places it in his pocket since he is too lazy to place it in his wallet. He stands up and offers a hand at Yui. " Let's go. " he smiles.

 

[IceQueen]

Yui smiled, taking his hand and standing up. "I agree. Let's go." she said, continuing to hold his hand as she walked to the entrance of the restaurant. She was starting to enjoy life more around Shou. Not just the big things, the little things to. Like laughing, eating ice cream, studying. She had to face the facts. She had fallen for him.

 

[Joker]

Shou smiled back as he pull her by her hand while heading towards the movies. They immediately got in as Shou led her to their desired seats from the ticket's information. But before he forgot, he asked for her to stay here as he quickly went outside to buy something to drink and some pop corns. He bought himself a corn shake and strawberry shake for Yui. And he bought one big bucket of popcorn before going back inside and sitting besides her.

Yui smiled, coming along behind him to the movies. She had a stupid grin plastered on her face and she was laughing to herself. She walked into the theater with him. She sat down and obeyed his order of sitting still. He came back a few minutes later popcorn and two shakes. She took her strawberry shake with a thank you and turned towards the movie.

 

[Joker]

It has been so long since he had been in a movie theater watching a movie that he likes. Especially this newly released horror movie. But this is the first time he had gone out on a movie with a friend and he smiles thinking that it wasn't such a bad idea watching it with someone other than Taka. Shou took a handful of popcorn and shoved it in his mouth as he was munching on them while watching the movie showing jump scares and traumatizing ghosts.

 

[IceQueen]

Yui smiled, watching the movie. All though she did jump a bit at some of the scares, none of them frightened her terribly. She smiled, munching on popcorn with him. She was totally relaxed and cool, until her mind started to wander. Out of the blue, something jumped on screen and broke her concentration, causing her to squeak.

 

[Joker]

Shou jumped a bit at her squeak. He was so focused on the movie that he forgot he had someone beside him. He just giggled teasingly at her as he continued to watch the movie and munch on the popcorn. He then felt something vibrate on his pocket, he thought that it was his phone as he took it out to check on it. Taka sent him a message inviting him to play games in his house. He did a quick reply saying "Can't, busy." and quickly place the phone in his pocket so that he may get back on his movie.

 

[IceQueen]

Mei blushed, her cheeks turning a dark pink color. For once she was glad that the movie theater was so dark, partly because it could hide her blush, partly because she was just the tiny bit hidden. She stuck her hand back in the popcorn, taking another large bite. She was enjoying herself, but she needed a distraction from her cheeks.

 

[Joker]

It took awhile for the movie to end since it was pretty long. Shou reckons that it was probably two hours or so. After the movie ended, he stood up from his seat and stretches as he made a satisfied moan. He looks over at Yui and smiles. " How was it ? " he asks as he really enjoyed that movie. He took his cup of corn shake and took a ship as it was nearly empty.

When the lights undimmed, she was a bit disappointed. She wanted to stay just a tiny bit longer, but this would have to do. Getting up, she stretched her limbs, her arm popping as she stretched them to the sky. She smiled, dropping her hands abruptly. "Yeah. It was a really good movie." She said, stretching her neck from side to side.

 

[Joker]

Shou nodded agreeing to her that it was a good movie as he glances at his wrist watch to find out they still had time before night time. He thought about were to go for a moment and snapped his fingers as he gave Yui a grin. " Wanna go to the mall ? I've got some things I want to buy before going home. And maybe we can have a little snack there as well. " He suggested.

 

[IceQueen]

Yui smiled, glancing at him. "Sure, sounds like fun." She said, smiling brightly. She didn't really get out much because she was so busy with homework and binge watching tv. She smiled and took her trash in one hand, taking his hand in the other. She blushed the smallest bit and walked towards the exit of the theater.

 

[Joker]

He held her hand, blushing a little bit a he walks towards the exit with her. He then lead the way towards the mall since he knew where it was. It was pretty far away though and he thought that he might at least have a conversation with her. Shou thought of what to say and then continued, " I'm guessing my mom is looking forward to you for dinner." he reckons as he laughs a bit, nervously.

Yui laughed, smiling widely. "Yeah. Your mom seems to love having 3 people at the table rather than 2." She said, smiling as she clasped his hand. She blushed a bit darker, looking at him out of the corner of her eye. She wasn't really good with small talk, since she normally didn't talk to anyone besides Mei.
