Agree, I'd love a real fucking long campaign for once. (Pardon my French.) It would be interesting to have a campaign where you play as a German, that I'd like.

Yea, there seems to be a lack of German campaigns in these games. I mean, I can understand why somewhat, but that's like erasing a huge aspect of the war. Besides, not all Germans were Nazis. Many were simply serving out of love for their country, things like that.
