Terra Gris; The Silver Earth Region -- The easternmost section of the Dawn. Known as the Land of Beautiful Earth, Terra Gris holds the richest soil one could ever imagine, with a sheen so lustrous it is said to glow silver. Underground, there are a great many minerals to be mined, and the soil above is able to sustain any kind of agricultural life. Thus, there are many forests, mountains, and even ice caps, for the silver land also is because of a peculiar frozen field...
The Great Hollow, a terrestrial canyon pass that leads to the most vagrant mountain range in the Dawn, is the first thing to be seen. Small villages belong to those who like to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city and want to be in tune with nature. There is a small river that passes through the canyon's valley and lots of greenery around, in addition to the great earth. The mountains are split in such a way that it creates a huge, gorgeous canyon down below, with lush fields, waters and visible homes on the mountainsides.
Within the canyon that is the Great Hollow, and winding up into the Great Alps is the Great Forest, where the largest collection of forests in the Veritas exist as one giant forest. They are separated into different parts and are all contained within the Great Hollow and branch up and outward into the Great Alps, connecting the Highest and the Lowest terrain of the Terra Gris as the 'Middle Ground'. The different levels of the forest depict in what area one is within the Terra Gris.
In all of this beauty and majesty, there is an Earth Sanctuary at the very end of the Great Hollow and in the clearing of the Great Forest, carved into the mountain. One of the Four Sacred Sanctuaries, being the one of Earth. The Earth Sanctuary is an exalted temple among the mountain people that is the embodiment of the element of Earth itself, and thus grants them with good fortune in the mountains and bountiful harvests. There is only one way in and one way out. All must enter through the Gate, that is the Virgo, also known as 'Virgin Gate.' There are many plants and trees that exist here, as well as mountainous scapes. It is the most natural of all the Sanctuaries. Like all the Sanctuaries, the respective elemental Zodiac's image is upon its borders, protecting it on the outside and inside from any harm done. The entrance sits between the bosom of the Virgo, known as 'Virgin Gate,' where also a river flows from her chest in the place where her heart would be and inside into the rest of the land within. One can find the Earth Sanctuary in the Great Hollow by following the River through the Great Forest.
All of this beautiful land is protected by an Earth God, known to appear in the form of a monkey and a panda -- the Grand Panda. Though his presence is unknown, he is everywhere in the Silver Earth region, watching over and protecting the land from what may occur that cannot be handled by the villagers. His home is the Earth Sanctuary, where he and his consort, the Earth Goddess, are revered as the protectors.
