talia

"Oh hush. You know it's worth it." Talia winked at Raider before taking the shot and spinning around in her barstool to look at all the other patrons. Life was weird now. Talia was NOT interested in Raider at all but in the literal apocalypse there is only so many ways to entertain yourself. Talia chose sex and drinking, Raider fit both of those boxes. Plus... Edward wasn't around anymore. He wasn't even around much once Daphne returned a few months ago. Talia knew it was fucked up for her to have taken it personally, especially since she had been gone for five years already and then seemed so distant again after the coma... but it was hard... she hadn't been close to any of the others and suddenly she had no one.

"Aren't Izabel and Lucas coming in today? It will be nice to see them." Talia kept her back to Raider as she spoke, carefully picking up her class of bourbon and taking a sip as her eyes scanned over the tables full of demons and angels. Outside these walls they would be trying to kill each other but in here there was a strict no violence policy. A few times they broke it and Raider had met them with a bullet to the brain. Eventually the bar got so much attention that Talia started working here as well, though most times she just drank.

Daphne

Over the course of the month Daphne felt like she was losing her mind. Edward tried to control her. Marnie and Edward tried to help her get her memories back, but she felt flooded. All she knew was her heart and her mind was confused. Raider was the only one that made her feel somewhat comfortable and even he pushed her away. She no longer belonged with the others, that much was obvious to everyone.

And then it happened. The gates of Hell opened and a horse appeared in front of her. A beautiful black Clydesdale with glowing blue eyes, a long silky black mane and tail. As their blue eyes met she knew her purpose. Life, death; Daphne controlled it all. The Reapers that escorted the souls to heaven or Hell were all under her command. Daphne was the girl that everyone loved, but Daphne was gone. The beautiful blonde girl was now Death.

It wasn't long before everyone knew of Daphne. Some called her an angel, and others called her the devil himself. Apparently the person in charge of the millions of deaths wasn't popular. So many people wanted to do, they wanted to go to Heaven or Hell to escape the Apocalypse. Many took their lives, and Daphne was getting blamed for it all of a sudden.

The magnificent black horse let out a loud neigh as she approached the bar. "I'll only be a few minutes." The horse snorted as Daphne slid off as if to argue with her. "I haven't seen them in two weeks, I told them I'd check in every so often." Daphne's blue eyes rolled before she entered the bar. Her new work attire consisted of a white crop top, a leather jacket, black stilettos, leather black gloves, and black leggings. Her platinum hair was much longer now and was typically in a braid that fell down the front of her shoulder. Once the gates had opened she became stronger and far more agile. Now she was a no nonsense straight to business type of woman. Hell, she could even summon a scythe nearly her size at will.

Her eyes landed on Raider and Talia and she felt her heart waver. Seeing them together felt wrong. Her brother was so angry for some reason, said to stay away from them. Even as a horseman he was still bossing her around. "My brother keeps warning me about you two. Should I be worried?" Daphne waved her hand and the scythe on her back disappeared. No weapons, no violence. Slowly Daphne walked around the bar and took the bottle from Raider with a gentle smile. "Raider dear you look exhausted. I'm not going to see either of your names on my list, am I?" After she poured herself a glass she sat down the bottle and took a small sip, her eyes looking from Talia to Raider.

Izabel

Things went to Hell in a hand basket after Daphne woke up. Edward was more angry than ever, and eventually it drove Daphne to leaving. Soon after that Edward left, then Patrick, then Marnie... It just kind of seemed natural for Izabel and Lucas to drift away from the others as well. Raider's bar became their safe haven, and after about a week long of adventures Izable and Lucas returned with plenty of booze. Now that the gates to Hell were open Lucas was much more powerful and confident, and after they hit the road it wasn't long before they became a thing. It was the end of the world and she really cared for him, what on earth was stopping her at this point?

When Lucas planted his kisses she couldn't help but to smile sweetly up at him. He was the only thing that was normal in this crazy life they led. House hopping wasn't something she liked, she wanted a place to call home with everyone again. Now it seemed impossible, but at least she had Lucas by her side. "Mm, I suppose. You demons have far more energy than humans do, I'm still exhausted." As she stood to her feet she let out a small yawn before she tossed on her black sneakers. She slipped on her backpack full of liquor bottles and grabbed the keys off the mantle. "Off we go."

Buildings were crumbled, some were on fire, and most were abandoned. So many people just disappeared, she had no clue where they went. The rapture was a rumor going around, but her and her friends should have been saved if that were the case. They were all good individuals...right?

By the time she parked their shiny red Mustang she could make out the image of a pitch black horse and instantly she felt excited. Daphne was back! For how long who knew, it was usually a short visit to check in and have a drink, but it was better than nothing. "Daphne you're looking well." Izabel walked behind the bar and sat the backpack on the counter. "As you requested Raider. You feeling okay? You look sick." It had only been a week since she was here last but he looked pale and sickly.

Patrick

Daphne didn't unite everyone like they had anticipated. She wasn't the old Daphne, she was much more quieter and more intimidating than before. It didn't matter, the world was going to shit. Patrick was warned about the end of the world and informed of his job to kill the anti-Christ. He kept the mission hush hushed since it was Daphn'es child, but as soon as he was killed this could end. That's why he poured his entire being into the hunt.

Unfortunately Marnie insisted on coming with him. He wanted her at Raiders bar; safe, out of the way of danger. But she was different. The black streak of hair wasn't hers. What did God do to her? Whenever Patrick asked he got no answer. This God was far more frustrating than the last.

He was on his way to another lair of demons, his second one of the day. They had to know where the anti-Christ was. Just as the sun was beginning to set though Marnie spoke up and Patrick let out a long sigh. "We had breakfast this morning. Was that not enough?" He let out another sigh and shook his head. He knew the answer to that, she was like an overbearing mother. Not that Patrick ever had one, he did see them in church though. "Fine, we'll camp here for the night. We leave before sunrise though."

Patrick sat down the large bag and sleeping bag he carried. Patrick never tired anymore and hardly got hungry, he had to force himself to slow down for Marnie's sake. "Today's been a hot one. Sorry, I didn't realize it." He handed her a bottle of water before he knelt down and began to grab some sticks to start a fire with. It was so hot during the day yet so cold at night.

Edward

Everything in his life crumbled so quickly. His sister didn't want anything to do with him. As he struggled to help her he found herself losing her. He knew he was struggling to hold on to everyone, so after a while he arranged dinner to have with Talia. When he walked in and found her in bed with Raider, well, he snapped. He cursed his friend, told him to do them a favor and stay away from him and his sister. He couldn't even look at Talia before he left.

Edward went off, got in fights, caused chaos. When he had gotten shot he was thankful and ready to accept death. Only it wasn't death that arrived, it was his sister. She gave him the option of becoming a horseman, said something about the Devil wanting him among his ranks. And, just like, that he became the red rider.

Initially he thought they would ride together. Edward was angry with a hunger only war and rage could satisfy. The bit of human he had left in his heart felt bad, it was hard facing the people he once cared for. It was even worse facing the people that had betrayed him, so Edward barely went to the bar. Why? Raider and him weren't friends, and Talia had made things perfectly clear.

"Settle." The red stallion with red eyes neighed loudly as he stopped near the pure black horse. Edward walked into the bar and straightened his red leather jacket as he did, his black combat boots smacking against the ground as he walked. A table of demons whooped and cheered as he walked in which caused Edward to chuckle, giving the group a small wave. He was popular among the hellions.

"Sister if Raider appears on your list it's because he's a drunk, leave him alone. Izabel, Lucas it's good to see you again, you pull off the horns well." Edward pulled out a red flask and took a long drink of the burning liquid. He avoided eye contact with Talia, he still had nothing to say to her.

talia

"Hmm?" Talia turned back to the bar as she heard the voice next to her, "Oh Daphne, I didn't know you were stopping in today as well." She chuckled weakly as Daphne spoke about Edward. "Worried. Wow." She rolled her eyes and slid her empty glass over to Raider with a sigh. Talia knew things weren't GOOD between Edward and herself but really? To WARN Daphne about the two of them? How petty. He was the one that just forgot about the two of them, everyone else was so obsessed with their own shit and suddenly it was like Talia was left in the dust. They made a PROMISE to Talia to help her with her father if she helped get Daphne out of the cult and she kept her end of the bargain but then it was like her issues didn't matter anymore. It only got worse when Daphne fell into the coma. No one asked... no one cared how she was. Now he wanted to be mad at her for finding comfort in literally the only person that still chose to treat her like she mattered? Fuck him.

Izabel and Lucas came in soon after Daphne, then Edward. As the demons cheered for him she scowled and looked over at Daphne as Edward made jest at Raider. "Yeah well at least hes not a giant pussy." He wouldn't even LOOK at her! Wasn't he some fucking badass now?! "What a fucking joke." Talia slurred her words as she jumped off her barstool and went to move behind the counter to get away from everyone and pretend to be working, only as soon as she stood she swayed and hit the ground with a thud.

You see... Talia had been having issues other than her terrible coping mechanisms. She hadn't been eating much... for weeks. Ever since the Gates of Hell opened all her food looked... bad. Sometimes it would appear as bugs, organs, tar. Other times she would have the nagging thought that her food or drink had been poisoned. The few times she did eat it made her sick and throw up soon after. She had no clue why... and she had no clue how to get past it.

On the floor she struggled to roll over onto her side as her body went colder than normal. For the past week she had noticed chills and severe stomach pain, she had been coughing up blood and hiding her body under large sweaters and baggy pants. She thought she had been doing enough to keep her body moving but clearly not.

Lucas

"Well looky here, the gangs... mostly... all here!" Lucas grinned as they approached the bar and placed the bags full of clinking bottles against the sticky counter top. "Nice to see you Daphne, as long as your here for pleasure, not business." He chuckled nervously as he spoke and jumped up onto the counter, sitting so he was facing everyone as Edward walked in behind him. "Well shit now we really have a party."

Lucas may have been half demon but he knew nothing about hell or being a demon other than how to handle his own power and what little he had learned since the gates opened. He didn't really mesh well with the other demons, they wanted to just party, use earth as their free real estate and live it up until the inevitable war broke out. There was already a lot of fighting but thankfully there was still safe spaces left... for now. The whole horseman thing was new to him, but from what he had read there should be four... so far only two have surfaced and BOTH were within their strange little group.

As Lucas was busy day dreaming, Talia was mouthing off to Edward before suddenly dropping. "S-Shit!" Lucas jumped down and bent down to try and help her up only to realize her body was limp and shivering, "Hey Talia, what's going on?" He tried to help her sit up and quickly realized something was very wrong... she was so light, so much more than anyone should be. "Izabel what do we do? I-It's not like we can call 911!" As he held her head up she started to cough, blood splattering across the floor.

Marnie Harris

"No need to apologize, I feel bad for slowing us down all the time." Marnie spoke plainly as she took the water with a small thanks and took a sip before unloading her own backpack from her back and tossed it on the ground as Patrick began setting up a fire. She wished her powers would just fully come out... God told her that she would have all this... power! But so far all she had was a highlight and some heightened senses. She was a fucking Valkyrie! Where were her wings? Where was the strength? Shouldn't she have less of these human weaknesses like hunger and such? Her job was to protect Patrick but so far it just seemed like he was protecting her!

"I'll try better tomorrow." Marnie gave him a soft smile before setting up their small tent for rain cover and pulling out two cans of ravioli from her bag. "Would you like some or .... " Her voice trailed off as she held up the can to show him. She knew he rarely was hungry anymore but eating alone was a little sad. Sometimes she felt like a part of her was so lonely... like it was missing someone so badly that she could hardly stand it. Marnie knew that it must have come from her missing years of memory but there was nothing she could do about that... it was too far gone now.

"After this mission we probably need to head back to the bar to re up on some supplies. Unless we can find a store to raid but this area used to be so populated I can't imagine it would have much left if anything at all..."

Raider Thomas

"Right, sure it is. You're totally not a giant pain in the ass." Raider rolled his eyes as Talia bragged about herself. They were an unlikely friendship, if you could really even call it that. They were more like two very very fucked up people who literally had no one else left and had to deal with it together. Plus the bar got busy and he could have used the help. Especially as he got more and more ill... it was getting harder and harder to stay away from the booze her served. At first it was just drinking like normal but when Daphne came back and was treating him so... strangely.... it became more. Then when she became this horseman thing? And Edward too? He had already lost them but now it just felt so final. At that point his drinking turned into full blown illness. He would wake up needing to drink because going to long without it made him begin withdrawal symptoms... which were the WORST.

"Ah, look what the cat dragged in." Everytime he saw Daphne his heart broke a little bit more. He didn't realize how much he cared until it was too late. He really thought she was just a crush and that he would get over it for the sake of Edward but... god it was so much more than that. "Oh I am fine, don't worry. You however, you look like death." Raider winked, "Get it?"

Soon Izabel and Lucas walked in with a delivery and he took the bags, unloading the bottles along the shelves as Edward also joined them at the bar. Oh great what a fucking lovely reunion. As he was lining the bottles on the shelves he heard a thud behind him, assuming it was a drunk falling over he chose to ignore it at first however when he heard Lucas' voice he turned quickly. Talia was no longer in her barstool and Raider rushed through the opening in the bar to find her on the ground in Lucas' arms. "W-What happened?!" He knelt down and cupped her face, "Hey Talia, come on. Don't tell me you stopped eating again? I thought we got through this? Talia?"

Daphne

Was it just her or was everyone weird? It made coming around so much harder. Talia looked frail and ill, and Raider looked just as ill. No one seemed to listen to heed Daphne's warnings. Lucifer himself gifted Daphne with the powers of the horsemen, to give the power to worthy lives lost by the Apocolypse. Her brother was her first, and she didn't want to deal out the other two. This power was a curse more than anything...Daphne couldn't even touch another person anymore without killing them, which explained the gloves on her hands.

Raider's drunken attempt to flirt made her chuckle quietly. His breath reeked of alcohol, and while she tried to show concern for him and Talia no one wanted to listen. Just because she had no memories with them didn't mean she didn't care for them. It was like having to stand there and watch your old friends kill themselves...

As if on cue Talia dropped and the scythe appeared on Daphne's back. A piece of her heart broke and she bit at her lip gently as the others rushed to help her. "She hasn't been eating?" Daphne's voice was sad as she spoke, a magical scroll appearing on the counter with Talia's name written in calligraphy at the top of the names. "I..." Dammit, she didn't come here to steal a life. The list was final, and if Daphne didn't act then a Reaper would be here soon to end her.

Daphne moved to Talia's side by Raider and Lucas and knelt beside her, slowly taking off the leather gloves on her pale hands. Dammit. "Talia I have room for another horseman to ride with me. You could join me, never feel pain or hunger, you'd have power worthy of envy." Which horseman would she turn out to be? They'd only find out if she accepted. "The cost will be heavy burden on your soul, but you can either embrace death or a new fate. Whatever you decide I will make happen but you have to make it quick." Gently she took Talia's hand, holding it in hers as it glowed a bright light.

Izabel

Edward's presence now made Izabel nervous. He brought war, rage, and chaos wherever he went. What was more scary was how much he seemed to enjoy it. Demons worshiped him while others feared him. Quickly Talia laid into him, and before she knew it Talia was dropping to the floor beneath them. "Talia?!" Izabel jumped to her feet and felt her heart race. She wasn't a doctor, that was Daphne. Izabel knew herbs and medicine but that was it!

"I-I, uh." There was 911, there was no emergency medical response anymore. Everyone was on their own. Maybe if they had been around more she would have seen Talia looking so frail. Were they all going to have to watch their friend die in the ground? That just seemed so wrong...They were horrible friends and failed to help Talia through such a rough time.

Tears streamed down Izabel's cheeks as Daphne moved over and knelt by Talia. "Daphne..." At first Izabel thought she was going to take Talia's life. Daphne's scythe was out, the list of names was out, and the gloves were off. But the words spoken to Talia weren't words of goodbye. No, they words were ones of acceptance, comfort, and an opportunity. Daphne was responsible for turning Edward into a horseman and now she was trying to do it to Talia.

"I thought all you did was take lives, I didn't know you were able to save them." The words seemed harsh as she wiped her tears away. Izabel meant nothing cruel by them, it was her duty. She just didn't know that Daphne was capable of sparing lives.

Edward

"Well at least I don't have feelings for one girl and-" At least I don't fuck the girl my best friend has feelings for. Edward's face went red as he shut his lips tightly, not wanting a full out brawl to happen in the bar. Though, he was pretty positive he could fuck Raider up. He looked like a full blown alcoholic now. And maybe if Edward had come around to see Talia he could have seen how sick they both were. He was a shit tier person but he had come to accept it.

That is, until he heard something drop. His red eyes darted down to see Talia and, for a brief minute, his eyes switched back to blue. Edward quickly lost his compassion as a horseman, he had accepted his fate with his whole being and hadn't looked back sense. Now he was realizing what he had done to everyone he cared about. "Daphne just fucking save her!" Edward jumped to his boot clad feet and felt panic build up inside of him. His sister was giving Talia the option like she had given him, but this seemed to take so much longer than his did.

Edward let out a loud groan and knelt in front of Talia, his hand brushing some hair from her face. "I'm sorry Talia, I failed you." He felt all the anger he had for her completely wash away, though the anger for Raider remained. "I promise I'll never fail you again if you choose to live. I've been trying to keep my promise to find your dad I really have, and I've found him, but I haven't been able to restore his memories yet. Maybe as a horseman you'll be able to help him?" He wasn't ready to say goodbye to her, not by a long shot. And as much as anger he felt towards her and Raider he hadn't given up the hunt for her father. Between the wars and rage that was his main focus.

It was easy to do when demons idolized you, they led him straight to the cult. He couldn't find the elders but he found the civilians. Now was a Hell of a time to reveal what he had been doing but if he didn't do it now he'd never be able to tell her.

Patrick

Once the fire was started he sat next to it, his now golden eyes looking over at Marnie as she offered a can of raviolis. He gave her a small gentle smile before thanking her. Did he get hungry or thirsty? No, but he knew that look on her face. She was lonely and he couldn't blame her, Patrick hadn't been the most kind person lately. He was sure he made her feel like a burden and that was the last thing he wanted. It was better that she was out here with him; this way he could make sure nothing bad happens to her. He wasn't going to let her get hurt again.

"You're doing fine, I just need to remember to slow down a little for you. Besides, you're good company. I'd rather you than anyone at the bar." Patrick popped open the can of ravioli and pierced one with a fork, plopping it in his mouth as he looked up at the now dark sky. He didn't like returning to the bar. Everyone was different and half their friends were never there. He much preferred the open road and adventurous life they lived.

The crickets stopped chirping and Patrick felt a sense of doom overwhelm him. "Marnie get out of the way!" He dropped the can and pushed Marnie out of the way, just in time to be assaulted with a barrage of bullets in his back. Normally wounds like that would kill him, and while his body was Heaven strong he wasn't able to heal cursed wounds quickly.

The bullets in his back burned his soul and he immediately began to cough up blood. He collapsed to the ground and felt his body fighting back. "Marnie just run, I'll get up in a second to join you." A gang of demons with large horns protruding their foreheads walked out of their hiding spot, one chuckling darkly. "There's a price on your head blondie, the first one to bring it back to the anti-Christ becomes immortal. And I know your mother wants your little girlfriends head. This is just icing on the cake."

Marnie Harris

"Hah, right." Her voice was weak in response to Patrick's sweet compliment, it made her chest warm slightly, more than it had in a while. Out here everything felt cold, it felt that way back at the bar as well but sometimes it felt nice to just be confident that the others were still alive out there. "Y'know, I hated these things back in college but now they're so good compared to some of the shit we have to eat." Marnie chuckled with a mouth full of food before Patrick was suddenly yelling and tossing her out of the way.

It took her mind a moment to catch up with the situaiton, Patrick was bleeding and telling her to run but her feet wouldn't move. "N-no. I'm not going to just leave you here." Marnie scolded him and moved to stand between him and the approaching crowd of demons as they taunted the pair of them. Patrick's mother? She had heard stories but just hearing mention of her made a sharp burning in her chest start and Marnie dropped to her knees, clutching her hand over what felt like a wound but nothing was there. Suddenly a memory of a woman with a knife burst into her brain but as soon as it was there it was gone again.

"Oh boys, this will be easier than we thought." Marnie wanted to tell the demon to choke but words wouldn't come as suddenly there was excruciating pain in her back followed by her body feeling like it was filled to the brim with power and confidence. Giant black wings ripped through her shirt and leather jacket, leaving her top hanging off her shoulders and arms in tattered rags as she stood back up and glared over at the group. Her eyes were full on black as she held out her hand and a beautiful golden bow and arrow appeared in her hands.

"What was that about easy?" Marnie smiled as she pulled back the string of the bow and lined up her first shot, let go and watched as three bodies fell quickly. Headshot, powerful enough to cut through three demons at a time. A few instantly went running but the leader was yelling for control before turning back to Marnie and running at her and Patrick full force with his remaining group. "Oh please." She pulled back again and again, taking out one by one without breaking a sweat until only the leading demon was left and tackled her to the ground. The two wrestled for a minute before she was able to use her legs to kick him off and jumped up to her feet once more, using her wings to propel herself backwards as she lined up her final shot and dropped the bastard.

Once she was positive they were all down for good, Marnie dropped to her feet and crumpled a little as her body swayed under the exertion she wasn't quite used to yet. Honestly she wanted to lay down but she had to make sure Patrick was okay. She stumbled over to him, dropping to her knees before lifting his face up gently, her black eyes fading to normal as she looked over his face and back as it slowly healed. "Y-You okay?"

talia

Talia could barely hear the others around her, Lucas was trying his best, at least she thought it was Lucas who was the one holding her up. She heard him mention 911 and gave a terribly timed chuckle that ended in a coughing fit and more blood. Then there was Raider, spilling her secrets to the whole world in one second. "A-Again? Hah. A lady never tells her diet secrets silly..." She coughed again and let out a small cry, breathing was hard, everything hurt... her body wasn't listening to her brain and tears were falling down her pale face. God she didn't want to die but... who really cared anymore? Earth was literally a hellscape... everyone she ever had a lasting friendship with was just so fucked at this point. Her family was likely dead... god please at this point just let her rest.

"I don't know Daphne... I think I'm re-" Talia's response to Daphne was cut off by Edward yelling at his sister and Talia fought to open her eyes as she felt fingers dance across her forehead, pushing her dark hair away from her sickly looking skin. "S-Stop." Her voice was choked out and tired between her now sobbing and difficulty breathing. He had been looking for her dad? Wh-Why didn't he tell her?! Why was he playing this game and pushing everyone away? She KNEW her relations with Raider were ... awful. But she only went to him because he made her feel so alone... "I don't think I can." She cried more and her hand clutched Daphne's hand harder as a wave of pain washed over her again.

Talia squeezed her eyes shut, her body was done. Staying awake this long was already pushing it so much... "I-do it! Make me one! Ple-" Her voice was soft and faded at the end as she lost the ability and energy to do anything more.

Raider Thomas

When Edward started yelling for Daphne to just do it and knelt down to talk to Talia, Raider's guilt hit him like a fucking train. How could he do what he did? In the back of his mind it was always there... how bad he felt... but he ignored it because it was always a suspicion not a definite. But now? Seeing Edward's reaction, this man who was so angry now all of the time who was suddenly telling everyone about how much work he was putting into something for Talia... God Raider was a piece of shit. Way to go. Flirt with his sister, fall in love with his sister, act like a coward when his sister is different and then fuck the girl he likes. What a great fucking best friend.

Raider backed up slowly, watching as everyone doted over Talia and feeling the panic attack raise in his throat like he was going to throw up. "I-I'll go get something to wipe this up." He was aware of how crass he sounded but he was actively having to hold back vomit as he went running up the stairs to the area that held their shitty apartment. Quickly he unlocked the door and ran to the bathroom, throwing up for a while before finally laying back against the tile floor. This was hell. This needed to stop.

Raider stood and stumbled to the kitchen, grabbing whatever bottle he found first and taking the cap off before chugging until he could feel the effects taking place. He dropped the bottle and let it crash on the floor before he followed suit and laid in the puddle of whiskey and glass, not noticing the cuts he got or the sting. "You're a piece of shit." He said to the ceiling as his eyes got heavy, his body to heavy to pick up off the floor. It was hard to stay awake, so he didn't... he just let himself fade.

Daphne

When Edward barked orders at her Daphne scowled at her brother. Death was a time for peace and acceptance and Daphne was the guide for the dead, she wanted to make sure they passed over comfortably. She wasn't going to yank Talia away from death if that was what her heart wanted. And, until Edward started talking to her, she seemed to have given up. Edward revealed what he had been up to, and thankfully it brought back the fight back in Talia.

As her body gave way Daphne gave a small smile, squeezed Talia's hand, and watched the light engulf her. The light healed her, restored her to good health. This would be the age that Talia stayed for the rest of her life. "Raider, she's going to be-" okay? Daphne's blue eyes looked around the bar and couldn't find him. Gently she placed Talia's hand down and grabbed her gloves before she stood to her feet. Where did he go?

Suddenly the scroll started to glow again. She snatched it up in a panic and looked at the new name that replaced Talia. Daphne ran to kitchen and felt her heart completely shatter at the sight of Raider on the ground. "Raider? You idiot." The words were quiet as she hoped not to alert anyone in the other room. He was gone, the reapers would be here to collect his soul.

Daphne had one more horseman available, but the price of that last horseman was heavy. Every gate of Hell would burst open and let the worst of the worst roam the earth. If Patrick couldn't stop the anti-Christ the world would be Lucifer's domain. As much as the world wasn't ready for that Daphne wasn't ready to let everyone she used to care for die. Quickly she knelt next to him, the glass biting into her skin as she leaned in close to him. Her bare hand rested on his cheek slightly and tears welled in her eyes.

Raider's body began to glow. The trauma he caused to his body washed away and healed him, the cuts from the glass disappearing. The color returned to his face, and just as she felt the process being completed she was washed over with a tsunami full of all her memories. Growing up, college, Marnie, the five years being tortured, the anti-Christ...everything. Especially the overwhelming feelings of adoration she felt for Raider.

"Raider? Wake up, you're going to be okay." Tears streamed down Daphne's face as she looked down at him, her hands cupping his face so she could kiss his forehead. Raider and Talia were a thing now, weren't they? Then it didn't matter that Daphne got her memories back. She'd do this war on her own so she didn't have to come back and bother any one ever again. It was better that way, she was just so happy that Raider was still alive. Maybe it was selfish, or maybe that's what Lucifer had intended for her this whole time. To live forever when the man she cared for would live with someone else...what a cruel twist of fate.

Edward

When Raider walked off Edward paid him no mind. He was still pissed at him and now was not the time to address the drunk. It seemed like Talia was ready to go, and if Edward had to literally force his sister to bring her back he would. Suddenly that didn't need to be an option. A bright light washed over Talia and restored her to health, and Edward had never felt so relieved. When the light disappeared Daphne seemed to get distracted by something and left the room, so Edward took Talia's hand in his.

"I'll take her to her room so she can get some rest." With that said Edward scooped Talia's body into his strong arms, moving down the stairs to find her room. Once in his room he laid her down on the bed, tucked her in, and pulled up a chair next to the bed. He'd hold her hand there until she woke up. His free hand smoothed over her dark hair, a small relieved sigh passing his lips.

And then it happened. Call it horseman intuition but their pack now felt complete, he could feel a rush of chaos burst through the doors of Hell and goosebumps down his spine. Did Daphne make someone else into a rider? ...No, she wouldn't do that. That'd mean the end to everything and make things so much worse than they were now.

Patrick

When the demon mentioned his mother he felt nothing but rage. How dare they be in contact with that woman? How dare they come after Marnie! As soon as she was out of the way he'd end them all slowly and painfully until one of them gave him a convincing answer on where his mother was. "Marnie I'm not in the mood to argue, GO." He shot her a backwards glance when he faltered. She was on the ground clutching her chest, the spot where she was stabbed with the cursed dagger. No, he gave his life to heal her. What was happening? "Marnie?"

And then it happened. Wings burst from her back and his golden eyes watched in amazement, a golden bow appearing in her hands. What was that? She didn't ever do that before, that must have been new. The first shot she took with the bow dropped three people, then shot another! If that wasn't surprising enough Marnie tussled with the biggest demon of the bunch. Patrick couldn't even get to his feet before she shot the demon in the head.

Marnie looked exhausted as she dropped and stumbled over to Patrick. He blinked a few times as she observed his face. "I'm not the one that did anything. Are you okay?" He groaned quietly and adjusted his back as the bullets popped out. "Where did that come from?" Things made a lot more sense now. God did something to her, and he erased her memories because this power and the memories were all too much to bare. "That was fucking awesome though, I'm pretty sure you could have made all those head shots with your eyes closed. Like, you're a legitimate bad ass." Patrick couldn't help but chuckle as he praised her newfound abilities. "For real though, I'm just glad you're okay."

It was the first time Patrick felt genuinely like himself again. This was all some planned out scheme, he could only pray that Marnie would get her memories back eventually.

Marnie Harris

"Oh calm down. I'm fine." Marnie smirked and adjusted as she concentrated on hiding her wings once more, "I liked this jacket though. I guess I'll have to track down another one at some point." She chuckled softly before continuing, "Ever since I came back I knew something was different... I just didn't really know what. God told me I would have new abilities and be... different, but I guess until something like this happened it never really awakened." Now that her powers were fully realized, it was like everything in her brain just clicked, this duty she had and the abilities she would need to use to complete it. Patrick had real purpose, he was really their biggest hope of fixing this hell on Earth. Marnie's purpose was to stay by his side and protect him when he needed help.

"A little more badass than a human teflar vest?" After a few minutes, Marnie was finally feeling normal again after the adrenaline calmed down a bit. She was able to stand and remove the tattered jacket, tossing it into the fire before holding out a hand to Patrick. "If you're good to go further, I am too. Plus there's a lot of rotting demon bodies around here... it's bound to attract attention. I just need to fix my shirt and pack up so we can find a camp site with better cover."

When Marnie turned around and began digging through her bag to find a new shirt, her large tattoo was fully visible. The raven had wings that went from shoulder to shoulder and now moons and stars framed where her own wings would have been. "I'm going to have to invest in a fuck ton of halter tops I suppose huh?" As she replaced her shirt and attempted to joke, a feeling of sudden dread washed over her and the ground under her feet seemed heavily charged with demonic energy for a moment before it subsided, almost like a wave. "D-Did you feel that too?"

Raider Thomas

Raider hadn't meant to die... but he also didn't mean to NOT? If that made sense. He had finally surpassed rock bottom and found a well under his foundation. Seeing the pain Talia was in, seeing what he did to his best friend... seeing Daphne like she was. All at once? Who could handle that? He didn't deserve the life he had. When he drifted into his sleep it was peaceful, almost like he was finally able to give everyone some piece of mind knowing they wouldn't have to deal with him any longer. At least that's what it felt like at first, then it quickly morphed into dreams of Edward and him talking like actual adults... Talia scolding him for taking the losers way out... Daphne... no wait. That wasn't a dream. That was her voice!

The man woke up with a gasp and his eyes went wide as he was suddenly back in his kitchen, his back wet from booze and his eyes staring straight up into a pair of blue ones that he missed so god damn much. "W-What happened?" Raider sat up slowly, moving his hand to Daphne's cheek and wiping away the tears that were streaming down her pale skin. "Why are you crying Daph? I'm okay see? I must have just slipped or something."

Honestly, he couldn't remember what had happened to have him laying on the floor like this. But what he did know is that he felt completely fine, hell he physically felt better than he had in weeks. "God Daphne please don't cry. I never want to make you cry." Raider tried his best to give her a reassuring smile as he continued to wipe away the tears. "You may be deadly but you're way too pretty to cry like this, especially over some idiot like me."

talia

Talia probably should have been terrified as she stood in nothingness, honestly at first she believed that Daphne had been too late and that this was just what death was. But as she waited for something, anything, to happen... she felt her body changing. Where she was one sickly skinny her body was healthy once more, her pale skin was sunkissed and warm again and her hair regained is shine. For all intensive purposes she looked like her old self once more, except the fact that her hazel eyes turned a vibrant shade of green. Other than this there was no instructions... nor words. Talia expected becoming some badass horseman would come with more than a color and name but... maybe not?

Then it all happened at once, the visions of empty fields, drought, hunger and starvation. The scales. Famine. Ironic.

Talia hadn't been in her bed long when she finally began to stir, her eyes fluttering open slowly as she looked around the room, it took her a moment to gain her bearings and remember where she was and what had happened to her. "Hey there stranger." She glanced at her hand in his for a moment before turning her head to the side on her pillow and searching his face for the anger that she was almost sure would be there. Only it wasn't.... and that only made her feel worse. "Is it scary." Her eyes fell back to their hands as she asked. "I mean being a horseman. Horsewoman. I-" She paused and swallowed her own words before looking back up at him. She was thankful for what Daphne had done but knowing she had to handle famine made her nervous... what if she was forced to do to people what had literally just happened to her? "It can't be like... terrible right? I mean you guys get sweet looking horses..."

Daphne Harrison

When Raider sat up she felt her heart swell with joy. He started to wipe her tears and she couldn't help but to feel so grateful. "Raider I'm sorry I couldn't be there for you when you needed me. I got so scared seeing you on the ground, I don't know what I'd do if I lost you. I'm not used to you being the one in danger." Daphne wiped the last few tears off her face before she threw her arms around him for a tight hug. She didn't mean to let that last part slip but maybe he didn't notice.

Having Raider back alive meant more than the whole world to her. It was a purely selfish thing to do, so when she heard a dark chuckle in the back of her mind she pulled away from Raider. Gently she cupped his large hands in his and looked up at him with sad eyes blue. "I have to go. You take care of Talia okay? I'll uh, be rooting for you guys." With that said Daphne disappeared in a cloud of black smoke, reappearing on top of her horse just outside the bar. Daphne wanted to hate them for being together but she just couldn't. She just wanted them happy. "Let's go, yeah?"

--

It had been two weeks since she had seen the others. The wars across the world had gotten worse, the grounds literally split open and demons sprouted out. It occasionally rained fire now. Daphne sent her reapers to do the lists bidding, her new assignment was from the thorn in her side Lucifer. He made demands and she obeyed. The thought made her scoff. Before she died she would have never wanted to be a pawn of the fucking devil himself but here she was. But torture was something he knew well, that and mental manipulation. When torture didn't get his way he would merely threaten the others. That always made Daphne cave.

For the past few weeks she had been staying at the anti-Christ's new hideout. It was an abandoned stadium that had been spruced up to be his castle. From the interactions she had with him he was a cruel and unforgiving person, the complete opposite of Patrick her newfound enemy. He tortured people that didn't listen to them, and honestly she just wanted to kill him herself. Unfortunately that wasn't possible so she tried to keep her distance.

Today she had to check up on the other horsemen, Daphne had begrudgingly sent them all messages to meet her at the bar. It was more so to keep Edward from losing her cool, but they needed to talk about the end of days. It was coming and she was ordered to confer with the others about their plans. It was a pain but she had to...Lucifer didn't warn her about the control he'd have over her if she was a horseman. Or the punishments she faced for defying orders. "Play nice with the other horses." Daphne fixed the collar and wrists of her black leather jacket with a small sigh. She really didn't want to do this, but after hours of torture she once again caved.

Horsemen didn't die but they could certainly feel pain still, that was evident. The burns around her wrists and neck from earlier were still healing, hopefully the darkness of the bar could hide them. "Izabel, good to see you. Any sign of the others yet?"

Izabel

The two weeks were a whirlwind. Suddenly Izabel and Lucas went from visiting to the bar to completely running the thing! It would completely overwhelmed Izabel if she didn't have any business experience. She was skilled at putting on a fake smile and talking to angels, demons, and humans. And thankfully Lucas was there the whole time helping out! Raider, Talia, Edward, and Daphne were all on their own adventures. Patrick and Marnie? They had their own crusade going. Marnie was apparently a bad ass Valkyrie now who followed Patrick around to keep him safe. The wild blonde boy was in charge of saving the world and she rooted for the pair.

Izabel had fallen quickly into a depression, something she tried to hide from Lucas. The rumors said that her home country was ruled by demons now and it made her fear for her family. Her friends? She had no clue where they were, and she had no clue what was going to happen when Patrick fulfilled his destiny. Would her friends disappear? Was the last time she seen them the last? What happened if Patrick and Marnie lost? It seemed either way she was going to lose more people she cared about. Thankfully Lucas had been her rock, she had felt terrible that he had to deal with her like this.

When Daphne sent word about a meeting she was more than happy to give them a place to meet. She made sure the bar was spotless and perfect for everyone, made sure to trade drinks for the things she needed to make a meal for everyone. Izabel wanted everyone to be a family so she had sent a raven with a note for Marnie to join them. She didn't say the horsemen would be there at fear of scaring them away.

"Lucas Daphne's here!" Izabel smiled and looked over the blonde. Izabel's smile faltered for a minute. For some reason Daphne didn't look like herself. "What would you like to drink?"

Edward Harrison

When Talia's eyes fluttered open he couldn't help but to smile. "Hey." His free hand reached over and smoothed out her hair slowly. He couldn't hate her for what she did. Everyone fucked up in life. Now? Now their lives were eternal. Well, if Patrick lost. That was a painful thought though. "Hmm? Scary?" He blinked down at her for a moment as she spoke. Talia looked scared and he felt his heart waiver. "As horsemen we have to make hard decisions. But those are choices we make for life. If we weren't horsemen we wouldn't be here. Right? Just be strong."

Suddenly there was a voice in Edward's head and he felt his eyes flicker back to red. "Talia I'm going to have to leave you for a while. It's not up to me, trust me. I believe in you, and if there are ever any issues your horse will lead you on the right path. I'll send word on where to find your father, until then I have men keeping him safe." He tucked some of her hair behind her ear. With a small smirk he planted a small kiss on her cheek. "Just because Raider has you doesn't mean I won't be fighting for you. I'll be back for to prove I'm better than him." And, with that said, Raider disappeared in a red smoke.

--

As Edward promised he sent word to Talia on where to find her father. Whether she could break his brainwashing or not he didn't know, but at least she'd be able to see him and try again. From then on out it was nothing but war and rage across the lands again. The more chaos in the world the stronger he felt. One night he felt the rage calm and he was finally able to question himself. What was he doing? What was the point? He used to save lives, he used to be a cop.

Thinking like that sent a horrible burn throughout his body. It was like the rage was fighting him, and it would only subside if he complied with his rage and anger. While it wasn't an ideal life he was just thankful to have one.

Over the weeks Edward tried to contact with his sisters. He sent multiple messages to her but they all seemed to all be ignored. What was with her? So when he got the letter he felt a burden lift from his shoulders. He was going to see his sister, he was going to see Talia. He couldn't help but grin like an idiot, though he wasn't excited to see Raider. The only comfort Edward got from Raider living was that Daphne ignored him too. Served him right.

At the bar he seen his sisters horse and parked his next to him. Edward pat his horse gently before walking into the bar to see everyone. "Hey all. Everyone still in one piece?" Edward grinned slightly and walked over to the bar, sitting next to his sister and glancing over at her. She looked rough. "Anyone been giving you guys trouble?" He glanced over at Izabel as she busied herself behind the counter.
