The Skitty dodged her at the last second and hit her with Attract, which caused Eva to be infatuated with the Skitty, telling Mari that it was male

"nuuu Eva...snap out of it Eva" Mari yelled at her Eevee as the Eevee got a giggly smile. Mari now knew that the Skitty was a boy, she just hoped Eva would snap out of her daze.

Mari called out to Eva trying to break her out of her daze. To which the Eevee was able to shake out it just with enough time before bearly jumping out of the way of the Skitties attack.

Jenny walked back with Sue, after catching up with growlithe "come on Mari, use tackle next" Jenny stated

Mari looked over to Jenny "alright!" she responded with a thumbs up
"Eva use tackle!" she said which her eevee did

The skitty didn't react in time and took the hit, it was limping badly, but it didn't run, it stood staring at Eva
"Mari now's your chance to capture it" Jenny smiled

Eva stood there watching the Skitty tilting her head to the side
Mari felt bad about the hurt Skitty but Jennifer was right, now was her chance. To which Mari tossed a pokeball at the Skitty and captured it.

Mari happily smiled at Jenny before walking over to the Pokeball on the ground. "im sorry little guy..." she said into the Pokeball feeling bad about hurting him to catch the Skitty.
Mari placed the ball away before picking up her Eevee "you did great Eva" she said hugging the Eevee close to her
