Fantasy The Guildstone Chronicles (( Questing Thread 2 ))

Gion Stickman
Location: Forest -> Thimbleweed village

"You're not gonna finish them, buddy? Aww, fine." Gion was expecting an epic closing from his wizard friend, but it seemed something change his heart. Something the skeleton didn't quite understand and even more so when he witnessed the wizard healing the turkeys he just hurt. For the skeleton, once he fight he should aims to kill. That's what he learned during his time as a pirate. Still, he would respect the decision. Stopping his guitar playing, the skeleton joined his guildmates in collecting the eggs. He took some extra eggs as a souvenir and for extra money to repair his guitar later.

When they arrived back at the village, Gion enthusiastly presented to the baker the eggs he collected. He was rather confused at the wizard's attempt to lie about what truly happened but he didn't mind it too much as he's too excited at getting his first honest money.

(OOC: I'm going from the point Kathlyn set her bag down in the previous post.)
"I'll help your friend but you need help as well-" As Kathlyn set down the bag with her shopping, the child ducked under her hands to snatch it off the ground and disappear into the crowd.

There was a ripple of surprise from those around her that noticed, a passerby almost looking as if they'd chase the child down before their companion pulled them in the other direction. Without little more than a few sympathetic sighs and resigned shaking of heads, the crowd continued its slow migration towards either end of the street.

Further along, the tail ends of a stitched-together shawl disappeared into one of the side alleys, escaping as quickly as it could into the maze of narrow streets.

The town was much quieter upon their return, with the hunter waiting anxiously in the street when Gion and Wizard returned. He seemed surprised on Wizard's mentioning that the King Turkeys were dead, attempting to remark that it was the eggs Ms Galeed was after before being stopped by the shorter mage putting a hand on his shoulder.

"The turkeys are gone and you're going to let everyone know...The Wizard dislikes repeating himself." The hunter clamped his mouth shut, jerking his shoulder away as the dogs snapped and snarled around his heels.

"Best be gettin' a move on," the hunter said, his tone just as chilly.

Even miss Galeed seemed more withdrawn as they entered the bakery, none of her jovial warmth from before present as the adventurers presented her the eggs. She didn't seem to hear Wizard's excuses about the turkeys, hurrying to place their reward on the counter. Her earlier offer to give them something for the road didn't resurface. Much like the hunter, she appeared to want them gone just as quickly.

There was a commotion outside the door, the sound of marching feet accompanying the clatter of armour. There wasn't so much as a knock before the door of the bakery was kicked in.

"Stay where you are, Necromancer!" the apparent leader of the vanguard announced. Miss Galeed made a sound of distress, hurrying to escape into the back room of her shop as among the armed soldiers, a few piled in with the distinctive crests of the Dawn and Arcane houses. The leader continued to speak, traces of light magic present upon the sword he held at the ready. "Do not move, or we shall return you and your construct to the death you have tainted."

The Wizard stared down a group of armored soldier who looked ready to cut him down at a moments notice. At first he was shocked that he was being treated as a criminal with no proof. Then he realized that he and Gion had been reported to the local authorities. A small village like this was like under the thumb of noble of significant power. He could see not one but two different crests adorning the shields of these warriors. Necromancy was outlawed in quite a few territories. An undead like Gion drew not only attention but scorn. Perhaps even the Wizard was treated with equal disdain. They'd been sold out by this group of narrow-minded villagers. Maybe since they first arrived. His mind went back to the dark times, to the orphanage that shaped him. He could almost feel the sharpened flint pressed against his forehead whilst that Half-Orc boy twice his size called him names. The sound of the jeering children filled his ears to the point where it was almost deafening. A bloody taste filled his mouth as his expression darkened. It was all the same, no matter how hard he tried.

He'd had no name, so his caretakers ignored him. Without any confidence, his peers had traumatized him. Then he'd been worked like a slave by the rotten old librarians who hired him. Just when he thought he'd turned his life around by joining the guild. Now people who viewed themselves as above him where trying to lock him up so they could BRAG to their friends about catching him like a cornered rat. Something broke inside of the Wizard. Even when he'd been beaten to the brink of death by that boar, he still felt better than he did now. Looking at the apparent leader who held his sword at the ready. Emotions began to seep through the cracks of his wizardly facade. "I'm not a Necromancer. I don't control corpses or consult with spirits. This skeleton at my side is neither my creation or subordinate. He is my comrade and traveling companion. You wouldn't know a single one of these things because you NEVER asked. No, you took one look at us and let your underdeveloped brains make a barrel of assumptions with no basis in reality. It was far easier to gather up your little friends just to catch the Necromancer. If you did so, you'd be some kind of HERO. Vanquishing a nasty mage and earning brownie points with your Lord. Thats all this is after all. You're just trying to ladder climb while attempting to fulfill your own sense of justice" uttered the Wizard with utter disgust plastered across his face.

The Wizard took a single step forward and found a sword coming for his face. So he erected a wall of ice to protect him. Naturally he knew the leader had a magical blade so he planned ahead for this. This wall was made of multiple layers of flash-frozen liquid. The Wizard may have been yelled at by his former employers but they also never bothered to see what he was reading. Watching as the warriors attempted to hack the ice away. He revealed the trick to Gion. There was an ice mage who had discovered how to create ice that not only boasted incredible cold but also strength. However the catch was that said ice could only be created under incredibly high pressure. This was what gave it density rivaling stone. Which was one of the reasons he'd run his mouth just moments earlier. To draw the attention of their opposition away but targeting their pride while he lowered the temperature to the point where he could instantly erect the wall. Handing off the reward to Gion to take back the the Guild. The Wizard chose to stay behind. He was weak and vulnerable before. Now he was going to demonstrate to these ruffians the DIFFERENCE in power.

Andromeda de Valinnari

"Like pixies..." Pixies? Really? That was Milby first thought? Andromeda had her own share of dealing with fae, pixies, and fairies related entities, but that was no pixie job, that was something else. The horned female now had a little bit of problem, one that she could deal fast, if the goat wasn't trying to interlock horns, so she had to stand her ground, and she stood, headbutt after headbutt. One could only hear the hollowish bone against bone impact sound.

"I am here to aid in your valiant quest!" The draconian lady could hear the sentient rodent, but at the moment, she was dealing with a goat.

Andromeda rammed the goat, the bone-to-bone noise was astounding to say atleast, using the interlocking of her horns to flip it. The dragon lady kneeled together to hold of the ruminant by its horns. "So what dastardly foe are we fighting today?" Andromeda kept her weight enough to keep the goat pinned down, whose tried to shake her off. "What dastardly foe? Hmm--..." she let the goat go "Good ramming Goatbrand." the pink haired one said to the goat, replying now directly to Milby "And as the questboard information goes, some kind of cursed?--" she veiled questioned her memories of said quest "cursed beasts that are dealing havok into Gorgon Valley i think--" she stopped to think about it.

Andromeda fiddled with her hair, while pressing her upper lip against her lower lip very gently "We need to figure out where the so called dastardly foes are hosted first, right?" the tall dragon lady looked back to the village, she knew that words on the streets fly faster than some thunderbirds and catching those whispers would be quite easy, like a spider's web catching a fly. "People from villages like there love to chat, we can go there, gather some knowledge, figure if pixies are behind it or something like that. What do you think?"
Andromeda aproached Milby, extending her hand once again for the slayer of overlords to mount her. Time was essential, and neither Milby nor Andromeda knew where the beasts cames from and when they would attack again, so the village was the best of the clues to how to resolve this problem.

"Cursed beasts that are dealing havok into Gorgon Valley I think--" Milby responded with a dramatic gasp at Andromeda's words, spinning atop her post. "We need to figure out where the so called dastardly foes are hosted first, right?"

"At once!" she said, brandishing her sword. "Such tyranny cannot remain unchecked!"

"People from villages like there love to chat, we can go there, gather some knowledge, figure if pixies are behind it or something like that. What do you think?"

Milby didn't need to be told twice, scampering up Andromeda's arm to her shoulder to whisper conspiratorially. "So you do think the pixies are up to something. Their devious schemes have the whole guild fooled, but not us!" The hushed cackle Milby gave sounded more like a mouse in a coughing fit, but she returned to her normal volume soon after. "Onwards! We shall rid the town of these dastardly pix--*ahem*--pillagers!"

Unfortunately the town in question didn't have much in the way of villagers to question. At least, none that were visible on the streets. Windows were boarded with scratched up planks and garden beds were torn to ribbons. Milby pointed them towards what seemed to be a guard tower, claiming the highest point was always the best place to start.

As they approached, one of the fortified portholes swung open, a guard sticking their head out to shout down at them. "What in tarnation are you lot doing down there?!"

Their head disappeared without a chance to respond, though the guard's voice could be clearly heard inside. Shouting, followed by the clatter of someone tripping over something. "Padan! Get these people off the street before the flock arrives!"

Gion Stickman
Location: Thimbleweed Village

Gion was beyond happy at the sight of the reward, the amount itself wasn't that much. He once got a chest full of coins from plundering. Yet the small sack felts much more... satisfying. He gave someone something valuable and in turn, his works was rewarded. That's how economy should work, right. If only he had lips, he would be grinning from ear to ear, but he didn't. The only thing he could do to express this feeling was laugh as hard as he could, and laugh he did. Though his laughter was cut short when the bakery's door slammed open.

The skeleton was of course confused at what was happening but as soon as the armed man yelled necromancer at the wizard he could conclude the situation. Afterall, this wasn't the first time this happened to him. He traveled to a lot of places and many of them had a few paladins living among them. Normally, he would just throw dust on their face and then run away. He's pretty good at running away. However, he's not alone now, and his guildmates didn't seems eager to run away as he handled his reward to him and prepared to fight.

If Gion had eyes, he would probably shed some tears at the sight of how brave the wizard at defending his friend. Even though they just met, this morning. However, Gion didn't want anyone to get in trouble because of him. When he decided to rent that box and live in the town he was already prepared for the worst case scenario, and he didn't intent to drag anyone down with him. Since both sides seemed to be eager to fight, the only way Gion could avoid bloodbath was by deescalating the situation.

If Gion had heart, it must be busy pumping adrenaline to every corner of his body. At least that's how the skeleton imagined how living body would works, but he didn't felts any notable things even as he moved his body forward, passing where the wizard stands and towards the armed man.

"EVERYONE, PLEASE STOPP!!" In a quick motion the skeleton slided forward while folding his body down into groveling position right in front of the armed leader.

"I'm not going to move from this position, so please hear me." Gion said to the leader while his forehead was still sticking to the floor. "The boy behind me is not a necromancer. I am my own necromancer! Please spare him and only take me."

The skeleton said his plea. The part where he said he raised himself was actually a lie, but he stated it without any hint of doubt in his voice. Sometimes having no heart was benefical, as he rarely got affected by emotional swing even under heavy pressure like this.

Milby was one of a kind. All that theatricals and boldness was impressive, and besides that she had an instinctive perception that led us to the guard tower. "My friend, i'm not so sure about pixies doing that kind of damage" Andromeda commented to her chinchilla friend.
Andromeda just saw the porthole open up, and the guard's head stick out just to complain about what we were doing and go back again like a turtle plucking a lettuce and going back inside the shell. "Wha-- Unbelievable!"
There was our lead, secure inside the shell. "Hey!" she shouted, dashing to the porthole trying not to trip and fall, because she now have a companion on her shoulder.
Her hands was the first thing to lean over to the fortified porthole and then almost her entire body weight. She could potentially breach it, if necessary, but for the time being, she just stood there and then came the clatter followed by a command to someone called Padan to get the people out of the street before the flock arrive. "Milby, i think we found our way in" Andromeda whispered to the rodent. "Oy! Padan!" she shouted to them, while banging at the porthole. "Oy, let us in!"

For a brief moment Kathlyn was too surprised to do anything of value as the kid took her bag and bolted. Though moments later she gave chase through the crowd, making full use of her small stature to keep up with the kid. If was her own money on the line she might've simply let him go, though even then she would have wished the kid just asked her for food instead, those cookies would hardly make for a nutritional meal. Either way, it wasn't her money and she really wouldn't be able to face Azalea if she just let herself get robbed in broad daylight.

She rushed into the alley after the kid, immediately coming to a halt as she realized she had no clue which of the many ways available the kid had gone. Though the vague sound of footsteps up ahead eventually made her decide on one of the many narrow passageways.

The further into the alley she got the more nervous she got, she soon found herself softly humming a bedtime lullaby her father used to sing for her, she would have loved to tell herself it simply was to fill the deafening silence that filled the alley but the further into the alley she went, the harder it was for Kathlyn to keep her hands from trembling.

It wasn't that anything was actually happening, rather it was the overall atmosphere of the alley that weighed on her spirits. She found herself reaching for the hilt of the small knife she kept at her belt for cutting herbs instinctively. It wasn't like she could actually do anything with it, sure the knife was sharp enough but Kathlyn herself only had so much strength as she had gained from running around all over the place with her cauldron, which was to say not a lot.

The slightest noise made her tense up, dropping into one of the many fighting stances she had observed during her time at the guild, it wouldn't do her any good but it was all she could think of.

"Milby, i think we found our way in. Oy! Padan! Oy, let us in!" Milby had to cling for dear life as Andromeda banged on the porthole.

"I heard! I heard!" A scratchy voice echoed, fussing around behind the door. The reinforced oak wood opened outwards with apparent difficulty as a smaller fellow huffed with the effort of moving the rusted hinges. He wore the metal helm of a guard, but looked much too scrawny to be one. "Wow, uh-" He seemed surprised upon seeing the towering dragonborn. "You're..."

Tall. With a start the boy recalled why he had opened the door in the first place, gesturing for Andromeda to hurry inside. He preoccupied himself with checking back and forth for any sign of hostile forces, dragging the heavy frame shut them.

"Y-you're from out of town, then," the boy said after the wooden bars were safely secured across the door once more, turning worried eyes to his guests. "Are you here about the... attacks?"

"If you're here for help we can't offer none!"
The gruff voice of a soldier spoke, followed by the owner stomping down the stairs. "All our best men are out dealing with those hordes. You and your farmland will have to make do for now...?" Upon seeing Andromeda and the small, well-dressed rodent on her shoulder, he paused to reassess. "Hmph, not a resident, by the looks of it. You from a guild? Or just unlucky enough to be passing through?"

"Ice affinity!" the leader shouted. Those at the front line fell back as Wizard erected the wall of frozen water. Several others stepped forward, fire sparking to life at the edge of their weapons, shooting forward to crash into the blockade of ice. A terrified shriek came from the back storage rooms as the roar of magic began to rise.

The leader glared at the warped reflections of their opponents through the ice. None of the guard had deemed to respond to the obvious provocations. Suspects were rarely pleased about being detained. The troublesome ones were those who kept their heads about them and their mouths shut, but judging by the tenor of the mage's voice, the leader guessed they were dealing with someone young. Self-righteous adventurers were a different sort of pain.

The fire soldiers had almost finished melting through the frozen wall, taking longer than they should with the leader's support magic boosting them. No sooner had it been reduced to a reasonable height than the undead entity clambered over, charging straight for them.

"EVERYONE, PLEASE STOPP!!"

The dressed up skeleton dropped onto its knees, sliding to a stop in front of a barrier of sharpened steel. It had sentience, apparently. "...the boy behind me is not a necromancer. I am my own necromancer! Please spare him and only take me."

The arcane mage stepped forward, speaking to the leader in a muted voice. "Undead sentience usually indicates a willing binding of the soul, or an incredibly skilled practitioner."

"Can you restrain it?"
the leader responded, just as quietly. The mage nodded, conjuring intangible chains that began to coalesce into something more physical. The leader stepped forward, weapon at the ready as he addressed the skeleton at a usual volume. "We will need to clarify further your origins. Your companion will only be questioned for the most part, provided he does not resist further efforts."

He turned his gaze upon Wizard next, eyes narrowed behind the slits of his helm. "Boy, you realise that impeding a guard's official investigation is grounds to be sentenced at Magistra. I suggest you sit yourself down and cooperate, if you don't want to make your situation worse."

The Wizard was moments away from unleashing a maelstrom of mana when he saw Gion give himself up. Gritting his teeth in frustration upon hearing the skeleton beg for the guards to give the black hatted mage leniency. All he could do was hold out his hands to be cuffed. The Wizard was separated from his companion and escorted into a small room. There was only a table and two stools. This was going to be as personal of an interrogation as he could get. Pushed down into his seat by a pair of guards. His hat was snatched away for decency's sake. The Wizard had no doubt that his precious hat would be manhandled and tossed away for the icy reception he had given the guards. However for Gion's sake, he couldn't lash out at these men and women no matter how much he wanted to. These specialty handcuffs on his wrists were likely made to mess with his ability to manipulate mana. While he was sure that they were far too weak to completely suppress his magic. The act of preventing him from wielding magic at his usual efficiency was in itself a somewhat decent countermeasure against The Wizard.

"The Wizard? Ara, bit on the nose with that one" said the interrogator as she put down his file. Unlike the stocky guard from before. This soldier was a woman with a playful disposition. Her fancier armor and shiny badge indicated a Captain's rank. At her belt were a pair of slender swords that gleamed like gemstones. The way she tucked a strand of her long lavender hair behind her ear gave attention to the fact she was a Half-Elf. "Why the long face, little Wizard? Were you expecting some big strong knight to come and chat with you instead of little ol me?" teased the female Captain when she noticed his stoic expression. The Wizard didn't respond to her prodding and kept his gaze away from her face. It wasn't because he found her attractive. Rather it was to escape the intense pressure he felt whenever they locked eyes. Even attempting to look away from her didn't hide the fact that he was intimidated. Since the moment he sat down, he knew. This woman casually eating bon-bons right in front of him could end his existence without even drawing her blades.

"I'd offer you one but the Colonel tells me not to feed the prisoners" whispered the Captain while she held her armored hand over her mouth. Her casual tone of voice and laid back atmosphere belied the power that was making the Wizard tremble in his seat. "Now little Wizard. Raising icky corpses is a big no-no in this part of the world. So we need to know if you've been doing something as terrible as Necromancy. Judging by the little iceblock you made in front of our boys. It isn't a stretch to assume you know a little magic. So why don't we clear the air here before someone makes a mistake they'll... regret" stated the Captain whilst passing off her empty box of bon-bons to a subordinate.

The trip to the nearest holding outpost was a grim affair, since the best form of containment Thimbleweed village had was a couple of stockades in the town square. Gion and Wizard bound in spirit chains and separated onto different carts, Gion in particular refused leave to speak, the tightening of the chains threatening him each time he tried.

The gates they arrived at belonged to a training barracks, not far from one of the larger villages. Wizard was taken to a tower while Gion was shoved down the stairwells and into an iron holding cell. He was not the only undead there, though none of his companions in the adjacent cells appeared to share his sense of humour. Or intelligence in general.

He would wait there for what felt to be hours, the spirit chains having been replaced by magically resistant metal that connected to the walls. There appeared to be plenty skeletal remnants he could entertain himself with nearby, but any attempts at magic fell apart after long, the mana seeping into his restraints and the darkened stone surrounding the cells.

Angora had her doubts since the messenger had first rushed into the warhall of the Solmar outer fortress. Out of breath, they claimed a necromancer had been sighted in the countryside. A squad had been sent from the training grounds to deal with the threat.

Angora hadn't need to go herself. As one of the leaders of the Dawnguard she had all manner of duties to attend to in making sure the undead forces of Solmar were kept at bay. But, the peculiars of the situation were what decided the matter. Reports said the undead could talk, and the timing didn't coincide with a breach of the outer guard posts. She doubted there was any deeper ploy at play, so she called for Tork to be readied, and in short order set out from the blackened land and miasmic skies of Solmar to visit the countryside training grounds.

In truth, she was getting much too old to be travelling by horseback. Likewise her steed had seen better days. But, she kept him for the same reason the kingdom kept her in command, even if he wasn't the strongest or fastest in the barn. Not just any old horse could survive as long as he had in Solmar.

There was a decision to be made as Angora entered the weighted gates of the training ground, scaring more than a few trainees into a flurry. She handed Tork to the stablehand as the Captain who'd made the arrest came to speak with her, explaining that Vel was with the suspected necromancer.

"An ice affinity?" Angora remarked, going over the details of the encounter with the Captain as the ascended the stairs of the tower. He'd passed the two bags they'd confiscated over to her, and she observed with interest the small, magic-charged stone that she'd pulled out of one with interest. The spiral emerging from the centre of it was one that was familiar. "It's unusual, to say the least."

"Judging by the little iceblock you made in front of our boys. It isn't a stretch to assume you know a little magic... So why don't we clear the air here before someone makes a mistake they'll... regret."

The iron inside the door turned without need for a key, the inlaid metal frame swinging inwards as Angora stepped into the room.

"Ara... too late it seems," Vel sighed, leaning over the table to 'boop'--as she'd once explained the phrase to Angora--the prisoner on the nose. "You'll be good now won't you sweetie. Looks like there's someone veeery important here to see you."

"Dismissed, Vel. You too Farren."

"Aye aye!" With a twirl Vel swept past, dragging Farren with her before he could protest the action.

Angora declined to sit, observing the boy in the silence that followed. Farren had told her he'd been young, but by the look of him, he wasn't even of an age that he'd be accepted into the guard--not that outer appearances were ever a good judge of those things. She'd met more than a few 'children' that were older than she'd ever be.

"By the sounds of things," Angora began, stepping forward to release the metal loop that kept the Wizard's cuffs locked to the table, though the restraints themselves stayed on. "You seem to have landed yourself in a predicament."

She gestured for Wizard to head through the still open door, following not far behind as she directed him down the flight of stairs they'd recently ascended. "I have yet to meet a necromancer who possessed an affinity with ice." She continued, carrying the conversation onwards as they walked. "In fact, I'd go so far as to suggest that, without a third affinity, it is nigh impossible. And you look a tad too young to have manifested that."

They passed several soldiers as they reached the bottom of the stairs, continuing along the corridor. They gave Angora and the Wizard a wide berth, though Vel waved from afar as they passed the training grounds. It seemed she'd returned to running her squadron into the ground.

"Likewise, to create a sentient undead requires circumstances beyond what is currently understood. I am taken to believe that, were you of such a caliber of necromancy, you would be smarter than to galivant across the countryside for all to see." The boy was clearly not from Solmar, or anywhere near the region, if he was travelling with the undead in the first place.

They turned into the dungeons, Angora raising one of the steel plated torches from the walls to float in front of them. The mana deficient properties of the stone didn't bother her greatly. They were there to keep the mana reliant undead subdued, and resist any magic based attempts at escape. If a creature was strong enough to overcome the draining properties of the stone, they would not have been brought to the training grounds.

"All that aside, what I'm most curious about is the contents of this bag of yours." Angora held up the decorated stone, her expression indecipherable. "I happen to recognise this particular pattern. And, strangely enough, the guards confiscated two of these. One of them off that companion of yours, correct?"

They finally reached the cell where Gion was being kept. As with the door to the tower, Angora had no need for a key. The lock turned inside its frame with a clunk and the door swung open. Angora placed a hand on Wizard's shoulder, stepping inside the cell with him, though the iron frame remained open.

"Well then, it's nice to meet you." Angora addressed Gion, her hand still firmly on Wizard's shoulder. "The guards tell me you are your own necromancer. Quite the feat, binding your soul to your body." Her expression suggested that she wasn't overly impressed. "Unfortunately, that process usually creates what we call wraiths, which you most certainly are not." It wasn't unheard of to find a masterless, wandering undead. Souls could be bound to bodies as illegally as they could be bound to anything else. "What I'm interested to find out is why you are the second undead I've encountered, coming from the same guild." The grim smile she offered promised none too friendly things. "Both of you come along now."

As she had with Wizard, Angora undid the loops where the metal chains connected Gion to the wall, though she didn't alter the mana draining metal that actually bound him. She led them both out of the dungeons, waving aside any protests from the guards. As soon as they were out of the interference posed by the magic resistant dungeons, Angora placed a hand on both their shoulders and activated the waystone in her grasp.

The cities were always too noisy. Tyron did his best to tune out the ceaseless chatter of people who walked and breathed too loud, oblivious to their surroundings. He missed Solmar, in that resect. The undead didn't breath. Their footsteps were noisy, but easily erased, and anyone else who lived there did their best to be as quiet as humanly possible. Footsteps were easy to track, and hurried ones stood out in a crowd where everyone else was walking.

Tyron paused, gaze sliding towards an adjacent alley where the echoes of lightweight feet emerged. If there had been a group of them, he might've dismissed it as children playing, but one set of footsteps followed by another spelled problems. Tyron caught the child as they emerged from the alley and tried to dash past, probably intending to lose the pursuer in the crowd. They weighed as much as a leaf, and were quick to pale when they saw the emblem of the guard house pinned to his clothes.

One look at the bag in their hands revealed it was, in fact, a trivial matter that Tyron had involved himself in. The kid was probably from the orphanage. Petty thievery wasn't all that uncommon and, ignoring the protests and excuses of the squirming worm, Tyron grabbed the bag clutched to their chest, waiting for the second person to emerge from the alley.

It was obvious long before they stumbled onto the street that they weren't accustomed to running, but the girl that emerged looked like she'd be at home in some sort of shopfront. Her clothes were plain, but worn enough to indicate a life of labour, though there was no distinctive emblem sown into the material that he could discern. She probably wasn't at work anyway, given she had the leeway to chase after a street urchin. Wordlessly, he held out the paper bag for her to take.

"I'll assume this is yours." The kid gave some sort of protest, but Tyron didn't see the point of involving himself further. It would be a waste of time visiting an orphanage, or whatever other hole they crawled out of. He was keen to be out of the crowds. After the girl had taken her items Tyron dropped the child back on their feet, turning to continue on his way. Maud was supposed to be at the port, and while his sister managed to surround herself with the most obnoxiously loud crew known to man, it was still part of his familial duty to greet her. Paying little attention to the scene he'd left behind, he continued on towards the docks.

"I heard! I heard!" when the lad spoke up, she immediately stopped, stepping back a little while crossing both arms. Her body frame was covering almost the entire doorframe, creating a shadow.
"Wow, uh-- You're..." A pirate? No. Santa Claus? Not even close. As the boy invited them inside, she went in. He clearly was out of breath, but had enough to ask "Y-you're from out of town, then, are you here about the... attacks?" So many eyes, they weren't hostile but she felt it.
"If you're here for help we can't offer none!" The gruff voice of a soldier spoke, followed by the owner stomping down the stairs. "All our best men are out dealing with those hordes. You and your farmland will have to make do for now...?" The owner sudden stop as he realized "Hmph, not a resident, by the looks of it. You from a guild? Or just unlucky enough to be passing through?"

"That's aloto-question..." Andromeda said, scratching the top of her head. "Not unlucky, and as a matter of fact we came to your aid. As you mentioned, the horde." as the dragonborn leaned her body in a desk while pressing both lips against eachother and expeled air from her lungs exasperated, she knew that she wasn't the suited to dealing with small beasts, especially flying beast. "Tell me more about it. Especially--" she began to count her points with her fingers "-- Where they are nested. Since when they began to attack. The frequency of said attack, and last but not least, why they are attacking like this."
"Thing is"
the salmon-haired lady began to ponder "If we eradicate every single one of them, we would impact the nature directly..." she had time to think, but how much was uncertain. "Oh great Milby what do you think?"

"I'll assume this is yours." Kathlyn only stared at the man, not having had a single moment to catch her breath from the moment she emerged from the alley to getting her bag basically thrust back in her face by an unknown man. She accepted her bag, giving a small nod as she tried to regain some of her breath before thanking him properly but the man didn't even give her a chance to do so as he immediately turned around and started walking away.

She glanced from the man's back to the child that had stolen from her before quickly sinking on one knee, pulling out a small amount of her own money and pressing it in the kid's hands. "Please go and get yourself some nutritional food, and try not to steal anymore, okay?" She said before immediately standing back up and running after man who had helped her. Her father had always taught her it was bad manners to not thank someone properly and she herself felt very much the same.

She caught up to him relatively close to the docks, shouting after his back. "Hey, hold up! Please, just for a moment, I just want to thank you!" She managed to get out in between gasps for air.

"Ic- Headmistress," The captain of the vessel started, walking up the steps to the raised part of the deck. The woman only hummed to acknowledge she'd heard him, gesturing for him to continue when it seemed like her little hum wasn't enough for him. "You're damaging the ship again." The captain cautiously remarked. "Right," Cylia answered, staring down at the ice crystals forming on the planks around her feet. "My apologies about that. I was simply lost in thought." The captain nodded before slowly walking away, last time he'd asked her what she was so deep in though about he'd received nothing but an icy glare in response. He shivered, being around Cylia Hower was like being outside on a cold winter day without a coat.

Cylia sighed, focusing her attention on her surroundings, slowly regulating the temperature she radiated until the ice crystals melted away. She leaned on the railing of the ship, peering at the harbor of Lantana that was ever growing closer. She'd been on many trips throughout her lifetime, though none quite as far as this one, and none with a goal quite like the one she had now.

As the ship neared the docks Cylia made her way over to the side of the ship, perfectly aware of the many stares and whispers of the crew behind her. She'd gotten used to the stares and whispers over the years and there hadn't been anyone she couldn't shut up with as little as a glare. When the ship was about a stone's throw away from its docking location Cylia vaulted over the railing effortlessly, which wasn't an easy feat considering the armor she was wearing and the shield she was carrying, but rather than the splash the crew had been expecting, her armored boots collided with a patch of ice with a dull thud.

She slowly walked towards the dock, a path of ice forming over the calm waves of the bay as she walked. She raised her right arm towards the path made of ice she had just made as she stepped foot on the dock, sending out a blast of scorching hot water to melt the ice as quickly as it had appeared. She pushed a strand of hair out of her face before staring towards the city, ignoring the stares of the crowd. She was finally here and she was finally going to get the answers she was owed.

Background: Headmistress of Hower Academy and Leonard’s little sister. Those who’ve known her since she was a child will tell you she used to radiate a gentle warmth accompanied by an equally gentle smile. However, after her mother and brother left, her surroundings were plunged into an icy cold. Her father eventually pulled her out of her slump and trained her to one day take over the academy. A fraction of her original warmth returned, though only when she was around her father. When her father died she didn’t fall back into her slump, instead, she took over the academy and managed it with an iron fist, earning her the nickname of Ice Princess.

Cylia’s magic allows her to manipulate the temperature of the water she conjures as well as the temperature of her close surroundings. Her magic can range from freezing temperatures up to scorching hot temperatures though maintaining hot temperatures costs Cylia a lot more energy than colder temperatures.

"Please go and get yourself some nutritional food, and try not to steal anymore, okay?"

It was easy enough to isolate her voice among the crowd as he moved away, for naught but idle curiosity. He sneered to himself, wondering if there weren't flowers growing inside that skull of hers, before he picked up on the footsteps moving more quickly again. Towards him, if he wasn't mistaken. Tyron had neither the time nor inclination to humour some girl out on her shopping trip. Perhaps she was a merchant's daughter, if she had money to be handing out so freely. All the more reason for him to avoid her then. Those types were always so chatty.

She was vexingly tenacious though. Since he wasn't about to indignify himself by running, it was only a matter of time until she caught up. Catching him at the edge of one of the piers. "Hey, hold up! Please, just for a moment, I just want to thank you!"

His jaw locked for a moment, stopping to the side of the main fare as he turned to face the out of breath girl. He'd have been more derisive of her sorry state if he wasn't already aware that she'd been running through alleys after a child, but it didn't elevate his opinion of her either. Her thanks was hardly worth the time he wasted by stopping.

"Speak then," he said. He could see the rolled up sails of his sister's man-o-war further along the dock, accompanied by a crowd he could hear chattering from where he stood. His interest in going anywhere near it was waning, no matter if he was supposed to greet his sister. If anything, that notion was even more exhausting.

His gaze strayed instead to one of the vessels closer by, noting the Hower crest upon it. It wasn't Isaiah's vessel The armoured individual he noted along the stern didn't look to be one of the crew either. As he watched, they dropped over the side of the ship, landing atop the water as they made their way to the dock. They were female, he noted, upon her stepping onto the pier closest to himself. The ornate plates of armour glittered under the midday light, speaking of incredible worth. With a dismissive glance towards the crowd further down and little heed for the girl struggling to regain her breath, he stepped on to the pier to approach the ice-like soldier.

"Tyron Avaticca," he said by way of introduction, stopping at a respectable distance to incline his head. "You sail from Aladon, I presume. I was not aware we would be having a Hower ship in port." There was usually some talk amongst the guard of it. Extra precautions to be taken. "Is there some matter of urgency?"

There was chatter. Loots of chatter. Milby agreed with her dragon friend. Too much talk--not enough stabbing. She let Andromeda talk to the captain as she set about terrorising the much more nervous looking soldier, making a game out of trying to stand on top of their head while they panicked and flailed about being attacked.

"Where they are nested. Since when they began to attack. The frequency of said attack... why they are attacking like this-" Andromeda would get them their answers. Milby was confident her new friend could put anyone in a headlock. That usually got people to speak sooner or later.

Lucky for them (and him) the captain was happy to oblige, growling at his subordinate to get ahold of himself. No easy feat when Milby had taken to prodding different chinks in his armour. She didn't pay much attention as the captain informed them of the Lantern Trees. Scraggly, shrub-like trees that could grew out of the steep rockfaces. Despite having very few leaves they flowered into bouquets of bright orange. The cliff-sparrows liked to make their nests in them, where most other creatures couldn't reach, and it had been with those that the trouble started. At first it was just the wanderers in the mountains that returned injured in town. It was chalked up to guarding the nests, but about a week prior the injured started arriving from the pastures. It wasn't long after that the attacks on the town started. No one knew why, but with the way the flocks attacked there were suspicions of them being controlled.

"Thing is. If we eradicate every single one of them, we would impact the nature directly... Oh great Milby what do you think?"

Milby froze in the midst of giving the soldier an impromptu haircut. Were they getting to the fighting part? With a determined shout Milby returned to Andromeda's shoulder to hold her sword aloft. "We stab them all!"

The captain seemed to have his doubts, but he wasn't given to chance to voice them. A distant cacophony arose--the sound of hundreds of shrill chirps. If they stepped outside, what looked to be a swarm of flies growing larger and larger approached the village. It seemed they would take some time to arrive, leaving two options. Stay in the village and fight, or sneak away to see if they could find the Lantern Trees the captain spoke of. He had given Andromeda rough directions to the area they grew in.

Cylia shifted her gaze from the city to the man who approached her. "Tyron Avaticca," She could only assume he was a member of the guard in the city, he was certainly dressed the part. "Your name is of little relevance to me if you fail to mention your position." She answered. "Even so, I'll humor you with mine. Cylia Hower, headmistress of Hower Academy and main heir to Gustav Hower, the former family head."

"You sail from Aladon, I presume. I was not aware we would be having a Hower ship in port." She simply hummed, motioning for him to go on. "Is there some matter of urgency?" She calmly shook her head. "Nothing for you to concern yourself over, I'm sure. I wasn't aware I needed to alert the appropriate authorities every time I simply want to pay someone a visit." She said, her expression unreadable as always but her tone made it abundantly clear she would be less than pleased if he decided to argue further. "If you could provide me directions to the Waystone guild I'll be swiftly on my way."

"Uhm- excuse me." A gentle but somewhat nervous voice spoke up from behind the back of the red-haired soldier. Moments later, a blonde girl stepped forward from behind Tyron's back. "Did you say Waystone guild?" Cylia's expression didn't betray any sort of surprise as she sternly nodded. "Yes, what of it?"

"Well," Kathlyn said, hastily adjusting her jacket as she stepped forward into the area under the influence of Cylia's magic. "I happen to be the receptionist of said guild." She answered with a smile, trying her absolute hardest to not shiver in the biting cold. Cylia quietly observed the girl in front of her, she seemed young, though perhaps not all too much younger than Cylia herself. Even so, she never would have guessed the smiling girl in front of her, shopping bag in hand and all, was the receptionist of a large guild. Though, then again, perhaps she shouldn't talk, given her position.

She nodded, regulating the temperature around her to a more acceptable level, though still on the chilly side. "Very well, I would be grateful if you could show me the way." Truth be told, she didn't like all smiles, sunshine and rainbows type of people, they reminded her far too much of the way she had been in the past, and the girl in front of her seemed to be exactly that. Still, she could at least endeavor not to be rude to the first person to show her a genuine smile in what must have been a year.

"Uh," Kathlyn had wanted to do some more shopping for herself, not to mention, she still hadn't even managed to eat lunch. But the lady in front of her didn't seem like the type to take no for an answer even if the way she phrased the request had been very polite. "I was about to head back, we can go together." She lied, ignoring her rumbling stomach, she could eat something quick when they got back to the guild. "Oh but before I forget!" She exclaimed, turning to Tyron. "Thank you so much for your help back there, I wouldn't have known what to do if I lost the items my boss asked me to get."

Cylia patiently waited for the girl to finish what she wanted to say, turning to Tyron herself when it seemed like the receptionist was done talking. "I have a final request for you. Should Isaiah Hower decide to visit this port again I'd like you to pass on a simple message. Tell him Cylia Hower wishes to speak to him, urgently." She said, ignoring the fact that the ground around her frosted over as she spoke her words.

"Your name is of little relevance to me if you fail to mention your position. Even so, I'll humor you with mine. Cylia Hower, headmistress of Hower Academy and main heir to Gustav Hower, the former family head."

So it was the titular head Hower herself. "My apologies," Tyron said, a touch dryly. "As the headmost family of the Royal Guard, our position most commonly precedes us."

"I wasn't aware I needed to alert the appropriate authorities every time I simply want to pay someone a visit. If you could provide me directions to the Waystone guild I'll be swiftly on my way."

"News of that has travelled fast I see." A mordant smile touched his expression, knowing of only one matter that would require the behest of the Hower's scion. The air around her reminisced of the northern waters, not even the sun-warmed winds of the port able to coax it away. "Far be it from me to delay your business. Had we notice of your arrival we'd have prepared a more fitting reception, is all." Though it was possible that in doing so she could have undermined her intention. He did not expect that her target would abscond on word of her arrival, but nor would he have ruled out the possibility. "The last I heard, he was departed for seas West of Mercantis."

"Uhm- excuse me." Tyron's expression darkened as the girl behind him spoke. He wondered what basic faculties were absent for her to assume she had a place in this conversation- "Did you say Waystone guild? I happen to be the receptionist of said guild."

"...of course you are," Tyron muttered. What misaligned god made it that these people were present at every turn. He had not been aware there was another clerk, unamused to be meeting them for the first time outside their place of work. In a way it spoke of how little he frequented the hall. It was of minute satisfaction to watch her expression falter upon the words of Cylia. If she had her own business to attend to, then perhaps she should attend to it instead of waylaying the business of others.

"Oh but before I forget!" Tyron grimaced, raising a gloved hand as he called upon his mana. The shouts and clamor of the crowds around them lessened, the ceaseless noise becoming muted. "Thank you so much for your help back there, I wouldn't have known what to do if I lost the items my boss asked me to get."

The girl had little appreciation for her volume, and he dismissed the thanks with a subtle wave. The intention had been little to do with her items. His concern had been that there was a more serious incident than what had ultimately transpired. He soon returned his attention to Cylia. "I will inform my sister, the Admiral," he said by way of response. "She deals with him more than I." Stepping back, he gestured for her to go first from the pier. "Allow me to accompany you to the hall. I am due to return there myself." Straightening, he spared a glance for Kathlyn, examining the girl with marginally more interest than before. That was to say, not a lot. "...especially since there seems to be some development since I last paid a visit."

"So... you can hold yourselves for a little longer, ye?" The tall scaly woman looked directly to the older soldier, asking him rhetorically "Because if we going to stab them all as my friend here said" she then pointed with her thumb to the rodent "we will be needing a distraction, something to focus the host of sparrows here. And if those birds are being controlled, the person behind it would be in a less defended and far weaker state, with the host here" Andromeda commented gesticulating, pointing randomly outside to one of the houses. "Distance and quantity, one of the factors for thinning magic. Lantern Tree, bright orange, cliff-side, mountain" she made a mental note. "So... find blankets, i advise cotton-ones. They should help with the containment of the flock, especially because of the weight and claws will get tangled into it."

Andromeda prepared herself to exit the building and gave the last set of instructions. "If you see the flock is retreating, don't let them. If there is a supposedly puppeteer, they would probably call back the flock to aid them." The draconian then adjusted her spear still sheathed through the leather strap that held it in her back, setting foot outside the reinforced door as she pulled it, and turning back to the boy "Remember, blanket, cloths, and small spaces. Trap them. I count on you to hold them here, Padan." she said directly to him, but indirectly to the rest, she knew that with his reduced profile, he could transverse smaller spaces, and be agile enough to get to a safe spot.
"Come on Milby, time for the stabbing!" she kneeled outside the guard tower, waiting for the fluffly one to hop on her. When her companion got on her she said "Hold on! And if you see a orange bouquet you point to me, aok?" inhaling a lot of air and then dashing to gain an peak acceleration, and she kept running, and running, the directions was quite clear, to the mountains they went. For a being that size, Andromeda was extremely fast, but of course, she was in fact a long-legged being, that coupled with the fact she wasn't even human contributed with an exceptional speed.

There was a great hustle and bustle, all the armoured villagers scurrying around. Milby held on to Andromeda as they raced around different places, giving orders and making instructions. The chinchilla cackled with glee all the while.

Andromeda said the best words said all day as she exited the building, and Milby echoed the sentiment with an enthusiastic battle cry. "Time for the stabbening!!"

"Hold on! And if you see a orange bouquet you point to me, aok?"

"Aye aye!" Milby ducked into the fluffy cascade of pink hair, holding on tight as Andromeda started off at a breakneck speed. They were headed away from the village and the encroaching swarm, but she knew the reason why. They were finding out the tyrant behind this all! "Tallyo-ho!" she said as they crossed out of the village borders and into the winding goat trails of the mountains. They crossed over steep slopes and crumbling rocks, but the dragonborne was as sure-footed as she was fast. Milby's beady eyes kept a lookout of the surroundings around them while Andromeda focused on not tumbling over any of the precarious ridges and rocky brooks.

They had travelled some way by the time they left the screeching of the flock behind them, reaching the wagon trail that led to the mountains the guard described. By the time the looking rockfaces were above them Milby could point to one of the higher ridges, declaring with gleeful anticipation. "The orange dens are skyward bound!"

The only way up seemed to be rocky outcrops that jutted from the rockface. Scattered among them were the vibrant lanterns trees the soldier described, the sense of many watching eyes growing stronger as they approached.

"The orange dens are skyward bound!" that was the signal to lose speed, and while Andromeda gradually deaccelerated, her face turned upwards, following the shadow that Milby casted upon it. "That is kinda tall..." she commented about it, exhaling to catch a breather, then a sudden cold breeze came, making the rockface howl. The draconian's eyes travelled around, searching for a easier way to go up, without having to climb. She felt as the Panoptes was there, staring directly to the duo, watching, unsuspecting, hidden in the bushes.

"The only way is up." she said, approaching the rockface. Looking up once again, measuring the height through a curious and ancient device, the optoscope also knows as eyeballing. Andromeda held on to one of the rocks that was apparently more secure and easier to latch on. "I'm not a mountain climber, not even tree climber... normally i don't go up, i bring stuff down, especially if it is that steep... or that high..." her entire physique began to widen as her hand began to root harder to the rockface. "... so, if you desire, you can do a scouting before i arrive there, you have the entire apparatus to climb stuff, and in this state, i could be a danger to you" she affixed her foot into one of the crevices and began to crawl up.

While her body was built like an unit, she was undoubtly agile for that kind of physique. The climbing was creating an aura of confidence, and she began to get more cocky, conquering more height, and that feedback into more recklessness as the pink-haired lady began to jump from point to point, going up faster than before. She then held on a crumbling rock that fell apart while she gripped it. Andromeda was now hanging by a single hand, and she knew that the rock she was stepping was getting weaker and weaker while she kept her entire body weight there, it began to break down. She held on, gripping firmly, but she knew that it wouldn't stop the rest of the rock to fall down.
The woman pulled part of her weight while unstrapping her spear, and as the weak stone collapsed above her feet, she affixed the spear by pulling it from her back and sticking it on the rockface. Andromeda continued climbing, now aided by the spear, using it as a leverage.

The edge was near, and she held by it, pulling herself up, and rolling on the ground, laying there, breathing heavily. "Whew... that was something else" the aketon-clad female said to Milby. The presence of the many eyes of the panoptes was so strong there, but that wasn't in her mind while she recovered herself. Andromdeda hands and fingers was scratched and bruised, some off them even bloody, the damage was very dermal, while other fingers had some calluses too.

Approaching the cliff-face was like approaching a nest of bees, except the residents had much larger wings and beaks for pecking instead of stinging. As Milby and Andromeda drew closer the flitting enemies began to grow, crowding the air above their heads with trilling shrieks. As they lost the cover of the trees sky unveiled the true extent of what they faced. An ant-nest of sailing wings and arrow-shaped blurs.

"... so, if you desire, you can do a scouting before i arrive there, you have the entire apparatus to climb stuff, and in this state, i could be a danger to you"

"Aye aye!" Milby's eyes gleamed as she looked up at the cliff face, zeroing in on patches of orange. The towering walls were a cascade of jagged edges and rocky overhangs, but none of that was a problem. Milby was the master of climbing. Even the sky wasn't safe from her! Without further ado she charged straight for the wall and launched herself at it, burrowing into the solid rock with a plume of dust left in her wake.

While Andromeda was stuck climbing with the shrieking sparrows, Milby popped her head out of the rockface at certain points to check where the orange flowers were, sending down a small rain of debris in each instance. Upon reaching the plants Milby began to dig around the sturdy roots, dislodging them from the crevices and tossing them into the air. If the birds hadn't noticed the intruders before they did upon the sight of their roosts being destroyed. As the only one exposed to the sky, Andromeda was soon the target of their renewed aggression. The dragonborne would have to fight or take cover to avoid the aggressive swarm of beaks and claws that began to swoop at her atop the rocky outcrop.

Andromeda let the pain sink in, and with that came the realization that the shrieking cloud of sparrows drew too close for her to call it safe, even if she ran and found cover. Oh well, what the hell she suppose to do now, run and hide or fight the sparrows? She had to lift herself first and foremost. No rest for the wicked, right? The pink-haired lady curled while rolling to her back, and then in a thrusting motion aided by her palms and arms launched herself forward and landing on both of her feet. "Alright then" she mumbled while smooth but swiftly rolling ahead the spear with her right foot and pulling it back to the instep, and then throwing it up, catching it mid-air with a broad swiping hemispherical motion. While Andromeda took some damage from the many beaks and talons agglomerated, the mass of sparrow did too, reducing the feathered legion slightly.

The dragonborn lady began to walk slowly, distancing herself from the verge of the abyss, rotating the spear in an eight-shaped motion, that connected itself to a radial and frontal rotation that lead itself from a skip catch, returning to the beginning of said rotating eight motion, that variated ever so slightly, even if her body got attacked, the sparrows would get cut down or knockouted, by the blade or the wooden handle, respectively. Miss Vallinari body began to bleed out, but she did not halted.

Thing is, she didn't find out the cause of said attacks from those birds, but the absolute unit of a woman expected enemy reinforcements and would not wait for it because even if she was so physically endowed and could withstand it, that would be hubris and be her end, so she kept pressing against the horde still with the eight-shaped motion that connected to a skip catch and radial motion, now semi-randomly, using the shortcomings that she forced upon the agglomerated birds to gain traction and acceleration, zig-zagging connecting her last frontal swipe to the ground as a reaching method to pull herself away from the shroud of shrieking sparrows.

Andromeda began searching for her companion and ally, but at the same time for the true cause of the sparrow problem, and while she was a bit far from the reach of the sparrow, if they decided to advance against her, she could retreat safely while keeping them at bay and by the time they reached her, she would be near enough to the core of the problem.

Andromeda seemed to do well in thinning the ranks of Sparrows, while Milby continued burrowing her way up the cliffside, tossing little orange dens into the air as she went. About halfway up the rock face the sparrows seemed to gather more densely. Circling in defensive manoeuvres rather than spreading out to attack.

It wouldn't be long after Andromeda reached a ledge where she could see the mob of sparrows that Milby's dust covered head appeared out of the rock face in a shower of dust and stone.

"Report, report! I've found the evil heart- ack!" She disappeared briefly as one of the birds swooped at her, reappearing a moment later. "Too big for me to drag through the rock. I can push it out but you'll have to stop the- gah!" She ducked into the rocky surface again as a pair of small talons aimed to take out her eyes. "Bleh! Stop the birds from gettin their mitts on it!"

With that Milby disappeared again, the burrowing trail she left behind racing towards the epicenter of the flock. The birds would most certainly try to retrieve the object as soon as Milby dislodged it from whatever crevice it was hiding in.

"There she is..." Andromeda said as Milby threw the orange dens out in the air. The furred companion gave Lady Vallinari some visual perspective, following her supposed motion she then found the shrieking sparrow shroud circling continuously as a contingent. "It is always upwards. Ugh"

"Report, report! I've found the evil heart- ack!" As the bird went in to attack, Andromeda exclaimed a warning to her ally "Watch out!" The dragonborn noticed that Milby burrowed herself swiftly, Vallinari then kept her eyes locked on the birds while she sat on her own haunches, gathering stony munitions. A moment later Milby resurfaced trying to finish her sentence "Too big for me to drag through the rock. I can push it out but you'll have to stop the- gah!" as the furred figure ducked to the trenches to evade being blinded by the talons, an antiaerial artillery shell came in clutch, shooting down the feathered foe. Andromeda was storing the rock as ammo on her pockets to knockdown the enemies later. "Bleh! Stop the birds from gettin their mitts on it!" The pink-haired lady agreedly nodded while gesturing with her hand closed and thumbs extended upward "I am on it!" said Andromeda preparing herself.

Andromeda kept on the lookout, she swiftly went in the windup motion to gain momentum as her arm went into her back and then went forward following a curved path. In her hand was a rock, when in apogee, she would release it, maximum acceleration and force on it. She kept doing it in sequence to shoot down some of the bird the aforementioned defensive formation, maintaining them occupied with evading the attacks.
