Not since the Godstone of Reyona was stolen from the grand Warriors Church, has such a unbelievable crime taken place. For the dragon king to be stabbed in his own throne, the idea of a masked assassin able to slip inside the Drawin castle is insane. Laughter would have flooded the hall if you were to suggest some killer wielding a dagger could run up and simply murder the mighty Dragon King.
Indeed insane, improbable but not impossible it would seem.

Said assassin was doomed the moment the poisoned blade pierced the kings chest however. With the king's response being a dragons roar of fire. The dragon knights swiftly killed the burning danger but the damage was done...
Puzzling to all of course, what poison could Kill the mighty Dragon king? A man whose powerful mana resonates so strong in his blood that even in human form he had the resistances of a mighty winged beast.
A man who had ruled the kingdom of Drawin for over sixty seven years but could still fight on the front lines like a man in the prime of his life.

Only one organisation could could achieve this, The Shadowhand...
A guild of criminals that every one on Aerth has heard of, fears, or simply doesn't believe in.
Who could believe in a tale like a network of legendary thieves, killers, slave traders and worse that span the known world like a hidden government.
Dragon King Lizar Hart believed it. He knew they existed, he had his own guild of spies thieves and killers trying to investigate. Get recruited, become trusted, take down the organisation from the inside.
There was no clear evidence at the time, until letters were received a few months ago that confirmed king Hart's speculation.

Leader of the Dragon rogues is dead, killed by what I suspect are assassins of the Shadows. Master Fieful was able to confirm that the Shadowhand has robbed the fallen island of Drocoka. The skyracers on top the fallen island mountain, it's basically a mountain now....
My associates and i were able to find some criminals in Andwall who had been hired by the Shadows to tunnel into the mountain to mine for precious stones and metals.
The skyracers on top Drocoka are hostile to any who try reach their villages, but I was able to confirm they were unaware of the mining thats happening under their home. As this is the only hard evidence found on the shadows and i suspect they intend to mine drocoka bare...
I request a Dragon knight leading a squad to assist as heavy combat towards the skyracers and the Shadows are most likely inevitable.
I shall investigate further staying at the hunters guild in Andwall under the name Lelu Dart. By the time assistance arrives I shall have scouted the location to provide further instruction to who arrives.

With much love, Lalo Hart.

Unfortunately with the orc invasion Drawins army was to busy to send a squad off chasing shadows. But with the king dead and his dying words naming his latest wife to take the throne until a suitable heir can be chosen. Dragon queen Limon Bluflame was quick to set the requirements needed to fulfil to be determined "suitable"

"Avenge your father, crush the shadowhand and prove to the people, myself and the soul of your father, may he rest in peace...
Prove that you are fit to rule Drawin. The Throne is for those with strength and wisdom. The Dragon's Throne is the top of the world, only those fit to lead have any legitimate claim to rule."
The Dragon heirs would need to recruit help of their own accord from the knights and rogues in service to Drawin. There is three heirs in particular who have taken this quest,

Princess Maria, despite being the youngest of the three she has achieved the title and honor of knight. Her determination burns as fierce as the fire she breathes.

Prince Leon, The possibility of being the one to sit in the dragon's throne is probably more motivation then avenging his father... (But one can only know for certain by asking the Prince of course.)

Prince Waboe, A poisonous man whose only real goal seems to be for everyone to acknowledge his strength and skill.

These were not the only three, but the first two mentioned and the people with them is what we shall focus on.
20200611_112334.jpg
Here in Andwall is where our heroes are! Princess Maria and Prince Waboe arriving much earlier and noticeably... because while a dragon flying in the sky is much faster then traditional travel, its alot easier to spot and much more of a talking point.

Prince Leon chose a more conspicuous mode of transport but still drew attention anyway. The party arriving six days after with funny stories of bandits being dispatched and some orc scouts. The fancy wagon being escorted by knights seemed a prosperous target, but ultimately resulted in death from much more skilled hands.

The tale begins proper once everyone sat together at the Hunter's guild.
Lalo and Zephyr had been waiting for the party after hearing from Maria and Waboe, the latter who was quick to leave alone. With the heirs, knights and rogues able to eat and relax in a reserved room...
Lalo was happy to start off casual once the door was closed.
"happy you could all make it, for those who don't know me call me Lalo or sir Darts. If you haven't eaten here I'd suggest the fried frog as it has the best value for money and the batter is just... its something else let me tell you."
the scraps on a large platter suggested these were of the giant frog variety.
"But I'm sure you have questions regarding Shadows an whatnot. I'll answer what I can but before you bark at me like poison Prince did before... the only lead I can show you is a location where people die trying to keep tabs on it. So before we go wait around this place where people die I figured have a fighting force ready yada yada"
With a large sip of mead Lalo leans back on two legs of his chair as he met eyes with everyone apart from the masked man but Clement seemed trustworthy enough for a woodshaping jester.

You arrived in Andwall searching for the kings ninja who sent letters months ago, Lalo being the one who can point the heirs in the direction of the shadowhand.

I shall be making another knight named Cruce Chayne at some point when im able to
and edits Waboe's sheet to be a poison heir again

To summarise y'all in a secluded room in a guild/tavern, ask questions or be in a hurry to leave for the first clue aha don't think you need to match anyone's post length as I'm after two paragraphs twice a week at the minimum and there is no max yet lol
Post order is let three others post before you do again
You, 1,2,3, you
For example.

Please Write combat as attempts rather then direct actions with no chance of fail lol
allow me to control npcs enemies and whatnot,
If you write "Bob stabbed mister named villian"
I will be a dick about how mister named villian deflects Bob's knife and kicks bob in the balls.

If you write "Bob thrusted his blade at Mr villian attempting to slice his throat" or something along those lines, I'll be much more reasonable.
the same as any significant action such as stealing, seduction, lying, distracting, barter.
I understand this might sound confusing either way ask questions if you need to and try to have fun

Leon looked down in disgust at the fried, greasy mess of frog in front of him. To think someone expected him to subject his taste buds to something as slimy as a frog, let alone something fried. He brought the metal chalice held limply in his hand up to his face, the sweet yet sharp smell of the liquid hitting his nose. At least the drink here was decent.

He listened distantly to the man Lalo’s speech. The mention of the Poison Prince, Waboe, snapped his attention forward and made Leon’s gaze harden. The idea that his brother would charge so recklessly into the quest made him uneasy. Knowing that both him and Maria arrived days earlier than he did disgusted him, but not as much as the thought of letting two men who were meant to serve him, get a free ride on his back. Not that he regretted the ride over much. Watching the two warriors beat the crap out of the measly peasants and monsters that had the balls to come up and rob Prince Leon Hart of Drawin was worth the six day delay. That and the scope of their drinking binge.

Leon looked squarely at Lalo when the man was done speaking, unfazed at the mention of people dying. “How far away is this place,” Leon asked. His tone was flat, coming out more like a demand rather than a question. Leon’s eyes were full of an inner fire, but the young Prince’s expression was calm, serious and haughty.

Maria, who was sitting next to Leon, glanced at the man's plate when he mention fried frog. She glanced at Leon already knowing he was probably insulted at the thought of trying it. Maria had actually had fried frog before....but uh she would keep that to herself. She didn't need Leon judging her cause she had actually tired it before. And honestly it wasn't that bad was pretty surprised. "Thanks for the offer but uh...we don't eat much fried food." Or in Leon's case any at all. Maria thought to herself.

Maria went into deep thought. Maria honestly didn't care about the throne she just wanted to avenge the her father and if someone else manage to do it good for them! Though that didn't mean she wasn't going to try. She prefer they all worked together but uh.....she figured none of her siblings would be interested in that. "Every dragon for themselves I suppose." Maria mumbled to herself. Maria snapped out of her thoughts when Leon spoke out.

“How far away is this place,”

Maria thought for a moment and spoke up. "Also Why don't you just tell us everything you told Waboe" Maria said.

Lalo let his chair legs reach the floor as the two heirs voiced their concerns.
"Well it wouldnt be to far away for you and your kin Blondie,"
With a smirk the rogue laid a map across the table for all to take a peek at.
Andwall was marked as is a triangle labeled Drocoka, from that triangle many black lines are drawn twisting into each other in a messy pattern. Some lines are drawn thicker indicating a path that leads into the maze. Some end with a small X others with a small circle, A single red line zigs curves and eventually reaches Andwall.
"the location is Drocoka, but the problem is the tunnels leading inside.
like I told old purple breath... they made a maze deep underground, one of the entrances is in that underground arena outside Andwall. The tunnel we found first however was three days walk away from the fallen isla.. The mountain Drocoka."

Lalo took his time to explain the dangers and overall brilliance of the shadows.
Using Miners, farmers and common criminals to make the tunnels. This was a grand plan that took months to achieve most likely... The maze is designed for disorientation and most of It is armed with a mixture of magic and cruel traps. Not only that...
Reptiles and Darkspawn are common down here for some reason.

Because of the Skyracers living on top and around Drocoka who protect their land from outsiders, (to the death mind you)
the only way to get inside was to tunnel in from underneath. It's safe to assume the shadows still come and go from the digsite, otherwise they are very cautious and love leaving traps about for the giggles...

The lines that end with a circle are tunnels that are deemed somewhat safe, meaning traps have been disarmed or none existent.
The many lines that end with a small X are tunnels where someone engaged or was killed by a unknown (meaning monster, trap, or a enemy)

The red line was discovered from interrogating some thugs, thought to be a local legend or a lie. Luckily though a rogue was running away from what seemed like a mob of people chasing him... eventually, Dirk emerged (fell through) a hidden wall into the fight pit looking like death and smelling of shit.
Proving 'Tobias the quick' died telling the truth.

Lalo sighed "ol Wabo-boe decided to venture off on his lonesome looking for a tunnel.."
The man chortles a laugh
"Silly minimalist trying to prove he's powerful all on his own... With nothing but the clothes he wears and that foreign blade of his"
Lalo of course didn't know the excruciating pain of destroying your attire when transforming. Shapeshifters, Drawin royalty especially...
Usually wear armor/clothes enchanted to shift similar to the wearer. Waboe instead prefers leaving his clothes and weapon with a squire when the need arises.

The trip to Andwall was actually an enjoyable one for Kana and she was honored to be able to accompany Princess Maria's and Prince Waboe's side, but her attention was mostly focused on the younger of the two. Since the King's death, her paranoia silently ate away at her inside as any sign of danger made her nerves flair. Thankfully, for the two dragons that gracefully and beautifully soared through the sky, there wasn't much trouble. As someone who was able to manipulate the wind and air around, she was able to keep up with the two dragons with greater ease compared to others. She was always behind, always keeping a watchful eye despite knowing the heirs were completely capable of protecting themselves. But, then again...so was the King and look at what had befallen him. She supposed one could never be too cautious.

When they arrived to Andwall, a quaint little town, Kana always stayed a few steps behind the heirs, always attentive, always analyzing any shift in the winds around them. Upon arriving to the guild, though, they were met with a lot of exotic smells and low, warm lighting that made the knight hint at a smile. They were also graced with the presence of prince Leon, to whom she bowed her head to respectfully before she swiftly followed after Maria.

As they sat down, Kana actually stayed on her feet, standing behind the heirs dutifully. She looked at the platter filled of fried, delicious frog legs and seemed to let out a soft laugh upon seeing both Leon and Maria turn their noses away from it, even though she knew the young princess has absolutely tried them before, "Your Highness, if I may, I wouldn't entirely grimace upon such a delicacy", she insisted, "Frog leg, or rather, frog meat in general is incredibly nutritious, high in protein, which is exactly what you two need. However, we can absolutely order something else for the two of you that is more up to your standards", she stated. They would need to be in top shape for this foray into...well, wherever it was they were going. Though, she did seem to discretely hide her smile behind her hand as Lalo wittily shot back to Leon, even going as far as to call him 'blondie'. My, my.

Kana turned to Lalo and respectfully nodded her head in acknowledgement to him. Sir Darts sounded a little funny, but she didn't think she could simply call him by his first name. She listened attentively as he explained their destination and the dangers that came with it. She sucked in a sharp breath. She was chosen to accompany the heirs to such a dangerous mission and she was confident in their skills. She simply hoped she could exceed their expectation and continue to work as hard as she has been.
Kana seemed to lean forward a little as Lalo laid out a map. She studied it and traced her gaze over each line, circle, and 'x'. A soft hum seemed to escape her, continuing to nod along to Lalo's words as he explained, with great detail, everything they needed to know about their location. It was a shame Waboe left on his own, and only wished the best for him. Kana did notice a slip in Lalo's tongue. Fallen island. Hm. She leaned back and let out a heavy sigh before she rested her eyes over Lalo, raising her hand a bit sheepishly, "I have a few questions, myself", she stated, "Excuse me, Sir Darts, I was wondering if you could tell us...what exactly is our end goal there? Exterminate? Conquer? Fill in the mine?", she asked, "Do you believe there is a chance we will get to encounter the leader of the Shadowhand? And, if we do encounter anyone involved with that group...are we ordered to kill or take some hostage?", she asked lowly.
"Also, when will we be heading out? Tonight or tomorrow morning?", Kana asked.

Winter sat in the corner of that small, dim-lit tavern room, with her feet kicked up on the worn, wooden table and her creaking chair leaning back against the wall. The journey here was far duller than she expected if she knew how dull it was she would have opted to stay in the castle. Regardless of what she thought she still had a mission to complete, and she would so, even if she didn't exude confidence like the blonde prick across the room from her, she could still hold her own in battle. Before Sir Darts even offered the fried frog she had already taken it upon herself to try one. After all, there was royalty in the same room as her and as a loyal citizen of the kingdom and a brave knight it was her duty to test the food for poison, was the rather the flimsy excuse she told herself as she finished her first frog in record time and moved on to the second one.

Listening wasn't her strong suit and that was made quickly obvious as she stopped paying attention to the Darts guy introduced himself. Although she did vividly remember the look of disgust on Leon's face as he was offered a delicious fried frog, it was one of disgust and it forced Winter to stifle a laugh. She didn't much care for the king's death, while others worlds seemed to halt as the king breathed his final breath, she was completely unfazed, she couldn't care less about his death, but she wasn't sure what the hell would happen to this country if an arrogant shit head like prince Leon took the throne, Maria, on the other hand, wasn't so bad, she could see the tiny princesses being a fair and just ruler, but Winter know she was just a knight. She managed to keep her cool for her entire trip, it wasn't easy to get her worked up over something, but it was far easier to make her laugh, so when Sir Darts referred to Leon as 'Blondie' she couldn't help but burst out into a short, fits of laughter, that she ended rather quickly as she brought a hand to her mouth to stop it. The man seemed to talk some more about tunnels and thugs, most of which she disregarded. She would protect whoever needed protecting and fill herself in on the details later if it was needed. So, with one last glance over to Sir Darts, the royals, and knight standing beside them, she closed her eyes in hopes of getting some shut-eye.

Lalo smiled warmly as Kana rattled off some questions, good questions mind you but sadly not something he could answer with any authority.
"ah, that'd be up to those on said quest, If I'm not mistaken queen Blueflame said...
Avenge your father, crush the shadowhand and prove to the people, myself and the soul of your father, may he rest in peace...
Prove that you are fit to rule Drawin"

The impersonation was scary accurate. Or it might have been the smirk and giggle that followed that was scary or unnerving. He continued on in his normal casual drawl however, "I'd take that, as... murder every member of the shadows... But if we find people it'd be better to take hostages as we need information. I don't think any head honcho is shit kicking about underground even if a lot of gold is to be made. If I'm to take a stab in the dark we would find middle management or enforcement of some kind cause five men have died in those tunnels and three of them were older then me, two of them arguably depending on who you ask better then me as well... so best of the best an all that"
Lalo's smile shrank in size before he pointed at the map to the nearest line ending with a circle to Andwall.
"it'd take some days to get here, doubt you wanna leave horses and cart at the entrance or be spotted flying in so we would be on foot of course."
He looked at Maria and Leon as he said this before looking back to Kana,

"Either way to get in that mine and ambush whoever inside or whoever follows is the only solid evidence we can find on these shadows. No one else is able to set up something as big as this and kill all the kings men who come snooping."

"Well it wouldn’t be too far away for you and your kin Blondie."

Leon gave a subtle smile in retort to Lalo’s comment, its appearance dripping with the gleam of knives as if to say, “ah, very funny,”

His eyes drifted smoothly to someone off to the side who immediately burst out into laughter at Lalo’s comment. He studied her fair figure, noting the sandy colored hair unsubtly draped across one eye. Looks like someone has a complex they’re still working out. He then drifted his gaze down to her fingers; they glistened in the low light of the room, covered by a greasy slime from the frog legs. The deadly smile directed towards Lalo faded from his face. At least that man had a platform to stand on when poking fun at him. Bursting out into a fit of laughter after contributing nothing of value to him was simply...unimpressive.

Leon brought his eyes back to the map Lalo laid out in front of them, scanning the various marks as they zigzagged with differing shapes and thicknesses. A key to all this nonsense would be helpful at least, but the mystery of these tunnels seemed of more interest to him.

He looked up at Lalo as he continued speaking of the tunnels and the travelers who met their untimely ends trying to navigate them. Leon’s gaze was glued on his face with an eerie intensity. He was trying to figure out if Lalo was bluffing or fudging the truth about this journey in an attempt to formulate their decisions towards an outcome desirable to his own motives.

"Excuse me, Sir Darts, I was wondering if you could tell us...what exactly is our end goal there? Exterminate? Conquer? Fill in the mine? Do you believe there is a chance we will get to encounter the leader of the Shadowhand? And, if we do encounter anyone involved with that group...are we ordered to kill or take some hostage?" A small voice peeped up from nearby.

Leon looked over in a moment of surprise that he veiled expertly as general intrigue. The girl who spoke was an interesting looking knight. She was pretty, with the type of figure he usually looked for in attractive women, but he could see hints of small features that denoted her power and capability as a strong knight. Not to mention her contribution to the conversation proved useful as well. He turned his nose up at having to admit it, but she asked things he wouldn’t have thought; things which were imperative to their mission.

Hearing Lalo’s vague answers to the knight's questions solidified Leon’s inkling that it would be better to approach this mission with numbers. He looked to the side at his sister Maria. Earlier, she too had expressed slight concern with Waboe’s whereabouts and knowledge of their quest. With Waboe traversing out on his own, it would make sense for both of them to travel together to catch up. He would have to play nice for now and cooperate with his little sister. At the current moment, the throne was still too far away for Maria to become a realistic threat. Leon’s main threat was Waboe, who seemed to have no problem running headlong into danger.

“Looks like the best way to approach this is for us to go in with numbers,” Leon said. “The men you mentioned seemed to have met their unfortunate end due to lack of support,” he gestured around to the various people in the room. “With all of us, I doubt we’d have the same problem.”

(mentions NeonFlow NeonFlow Lalo, FuzzyKaktus FuzzyKaktus Winter, animegirl20 animegirl20 Maria, Razvi-sama Razvi-sama Kana)

Gælin had stood silent against a wall, quietly for a majority of his time. Besides, it was his job to protect the future heirs, not to ask questions. It wasn't a question if what lied ahead was dangerous, it was how dangerous was it, and could it's danger be mitigated. Occasionally, Gælin would have a swig of ale or beer, whichever he had ordered. It was certainly better than the watered down liquor he usually carried. He carried in with him a small portion of jerked pork, a small snack per say. He was careful to manage how much he drank though, no need to get drunk, yet.

Gælin had given those before him to speak, occasionally making a small gesture of agreement. However, he held on what Leon had stated.

"My liege, I mean no disrespect, however, with combatants of this grade, numbers would most likely only lead to confusion against a much more prepared enemy. It's almost impossible for them to not know where we will first strike. While it is true that the individuals here..." He made a brief gesture to those around him. "...carry with them extraordinary skill in battle, it is likely the enemy carries the same or even better tactics that we would. This is an experienced enemy. It is of upmost importance to realize that no one here possesses immortality. What I propose is not simply a focus on a full frontal assault."

He paused a moment, drinking a small bit and continuing to speak.

"Our enemy will expect us to simply charge in head on, which they will have no doubt prepared for. A majority of the many good men and women here we could lose in the first assault. That is in no way practical. What I say..." Gælin paused for a moment, for dramatic effect. "...is we tickle their pride and ego."

Kana braced herself as she looked down to Lalo, her gaze occasionally flicking over towards Winter with slight confusion and a hint of concern. Not only had she...laughed at a royal, she was...sleeping? Maybe she was weary after their travels. Maybe she was just resting her eyes, and was actually paying attention on information Lalo clearly worked very hard to obtain and organize for them. Kana was going to hope it was indeed that. She could check in on her fellow knight later, if she was indeed tired or even ill. But, for now, she had hoped she hadn't said anything silly or out of line. She didn't want to look like a fool in front of the royals and in front of what seemed to be the leader of their little group of misfits. She never thought she would ever find herself with this particular...bunch, so to say. They all had their little oddities, but she supposed that was just life.

Yet, Kana was pleasantly surprised to see she got a smile out of Lalo. She naturally smiled back, feeling optimistic. Upon hearing his little attempt at an impression of the Queen herself, Kana's eyes beamed with amusement as she bit her lower lip to keep herself from laughing, "Excellent, Sir Darts. Perfectly understood. I suppose we'll just have to see...in the heat of the moment, so to say", she said softly. She wanted to make her Queen proud, though, "You do make a good point about no one really important most likely being present...", she mused, rubbing her chin as she stared down at the map, "...even if it is just "middle management", I know there are maids in the castle who can easily provide sensitive information if tortured", she hummed, "...anyone we can get our hands on, I believe we should capture...and if they prove to be unworthy or useless...just discard them", she said slowly. But, again, she supposed they would have to see, and more importantly what orders Lalo or the royals would give. After all, the knights were there for backup. They were there to ensure that safety of their beloved royals. Another thing to take into consideration, Kana knew she shouldn't underestimate them. Lalo insisted that..."possibly", people who held more experience over him and might be better than him, had fallen to their deaths. Even if they weren't particularly high in the food chain, that didn't mean they were to be taken lightly. Agh, she was getting ahead of herself, though. She needed to take a deep breath. As she did so, Kana glanced to the side to catch Leon's gaze. Oh. She smiled to the royal and bowed her head to him before she looked forward as Lalo answered her last question.

"That is a good point...If we're on foot, that is perfectly fine. I hope we'll be able to pack up everything that we will need. I'll look over our stock and items before we set out, in that case. That would also mean we would be camping outside and...I'm not sure if our royals have had the pleasure of camping outside before?", Kana hummed as she peeked down to both Maria and Leon, "Your Highness, both of you, correct me if I am wrong, that is. Unless we have the pleasure to stumble across other villages and inns. However, I imagine the closer we get to this mountain, the further away from civilization we will be. Sir Darts, do you happen to have a map that can show us the general route we will be taking? Maybe we can map out how long we will walk and when, or where, we can set up camp or rest for the evening before it gets too dark", she offered. Leon offered interesting insight, and insight that seemed to relieve her concerns. It made her chest puff out a little with pride and she nodded, "I hope that is indeed the case, your Highness. I have to admit it is unnerving to hear all of these talented men have come to such an untimely death...However, thankfully you royals have seen our work as knights. You know what we are capable of, and not only that, we have Maria who we have fought alongside with", she hummed, smiling down to the royal kindly.

Kana was surprised to hear Gælin, as she had not heard much of his voice during their travels and during the conversation. But, his addition was insightful and it made Kana look back down to the map, "Excuse me, Sir Gælin, I'd appreciate if you could please elaborate on "tickling their pride and ego"? While I do see what you mean that a full frontal attack will absolutely only lead to unnecessary bloodshed, on our part, it is reassuring to know that we...should have each other's backs. I think we need to thoroughly talk about what our strengths are and team up with those who compliment our mana perfectly. For example, I work with wind mana, so I could work with those who work with fire. Enflame their flames, and so on. Hopefully, we will be able to come together and fight harmoniously. We could also strategize during our travels. Learn a little more about each other's fighting methods. Etc?", she offered hopefully, "But, overall, I am curious about what you have in mind. Would it involve splitting us up into two? What do you think, Sir Darts, would be the best way to approach this overall, though. You've clearly studied these tunnels, would it be wise to separate or group together?".

Gælin studied for a moment, racking his mind for an answer to the question presented by Kana. "It would be unwise to split our numbers deep into the tunnels. However, if we were to say, have a smaller division of us go ahead of the rest, the smaller division may be able to lure out our opponents. They are for sure quite prideful of their achievement, and may be more cocky and naive if they had not. When we send the smaller division ahead, it would be akin to spitting in their faces, per say. They're possibly the most recent big threat to the kingdom, but we would be sending a fraction of what we could, if it not for the orcs to the northern coasts. Then, once the smaller force encounters the foes in the tunnels, they exit as fast as they can, with the larger force outside waiting to ambush."

"It's a more risky strategy, but with the possibility of catching our foes out of their element, where we may be able to slaughter a majority of our more prideful foes in a simple maneuver."
Gælin paused for a moment, taking a swig of his drink once more. "However, the matter of who enters the tunnels to draw out our enemies may be quite the difficult problem, walking into the arms of death outnumbered in an unfamiliar environment. I for one, will volunteer myself, should we decide upon this strategy. There's no dignity staying safe when it's my own idea that would put others in danger." Gælin pondered.

"If anyone else here has any thoughts on our strategy, it would be best to determine a plan before we plunge into utter chaos."

Lalo remained quiet and stoic as the party voiced opinions and suggestions. Everyone's thoughts are valid an so forth. The knights especially, though a misunderstanding seems to have sprouted due to Lalo's unfortunate wording of the situation. Said map is one of the current area with the added lines representing tunnels underground. Though Lalo and others have spent a vast amount of time mapping the maze underground none have actually reached Drocoka.

The one who got the closest to the location was Dirk, luckily able to trail behind a group of miners entering from a cave above ground and following for at least a full day before having to run for his life. It was the Darkspawn that appeared behind Dirk that alerted the miners who in turn called for help. A barrage of ghostly arrows whizzed past into the Darkspawn and Dirk made the right decision to flee...
Now Dirk was running for his life inside a dark maze so he could have been wrong. But his own words being...
"I looked back twice the entire time I ran... all I saw behind me was people with ghostly blades... more then I could count"
Lalo stood to better poke at the map,
"I'd suggest we split into two groups, the first group scouting ahead with the second group following behind within earshot. If it were up to me I would take the tunnel Dirk found as that seemed to be the shortest and safest route..."
He pointed out the larger red line that leads to Andwall and traces his finger along it to show where Dirk first entered the maze.

"Mind you that was a bit over a month ago so that could now be the shortest but most dangerous route. Either way this first group would consist of me and the best suited for combat or their respective mana. A form of Nature mana able to manipulate soil and stone would be suited but I doubt we are lucky enough to have a dirt pusher among us..."
The stoic face glanced between everyone present hoping for a smiling face to state Well actually Lalo...
What he was met with however was the presence of someone sleeping in the corner. A exasperated sigh escaped his lips before he threw one of the bones left on the platter directly at the relaxed knight's forehead like one would a knife into a plank of wood.

"the first group would disarm or at the very least mark any traps found and deal with any other potential dangers, if able to we would put down the threat as it appears but on the chance we are outnumbered or overwhelmed in some way the first group can retreat backwards to where the second group consisting of the royal family can simply breathe death upon anything following."
Lalo's grin beams confidence before continuing

"If all goes well we simply move forward and reach the mine. If people are there we take hostages, if no one is there we investigate further and wait for them to return. Then take as many prisoners as possible... any thoughts or questions?"
The last part probably wasn't needed but Lalo hated relying on people to dumb or proud to listen. But it was mostly directed towards the woman in the corner
"I hate to think I bored anyone to the state of tears or slumber so lets all speak up and add something helpful to the discussion yea?"

Leon listened to the knights’ suggestions openly. After all, his experience and knowledge on battle tactics were limited. Not that he wasn’t taught such things during his childhood within the royal walls, his governess just had more interesting–assets than lessons.

He sipped his drink while exchanging a blank gleam between the two knights and the rogue Lalo as they discussed the specifics of tactics and baiting the enemy. Leon didn’t mind much about which tactic they took, but he would prefer one that didn’t require him to do much of anything. So when Lalo solidified the concept of two groups, the leading one absent of his own participation, Leon set down his drink with a sharp metallic clink and let out a hearty laugh. He clapped his hands together with finality.

“That sounds like an excellent plan to me. Go in on foot to maintain stealth, then proceed through the tunnels in groups of two.” He glanced to the side at the female knight who had voiced concern at his and Maria’s comfort while traveling. “I appreciate the concern, young knight, but Maria and I aren’t made of glass. If I had been too worried about my comfort and safety, I wouldn’t be sitting here in this room, pursuing my father’s killers now would I? A little dirt and fresh air won’t kill me.” He gave her a sly wink. “But the concern is appreciated.”

Leon then leveled his gaze on Lalo. “If I may volunteer anyone, the two knights I traveled here with both possess earth mana. If anyone would be capable of that job, it’d be those two.” He gestured towards Gælin in the corner of the room and lifted a brow to signal the man into responding.

"Now, that should be all should it not? I suggest we get to traveling. After all, Waboe is ahead of us by quite a large margin. Wouldn't want him to run into any type of trouble without any backup."

Leon feigned the look of concern, but a deadly look buried itself in the depths of his deep red gaze. Waboe may have gotten the jump on him this time, but he'd make sure that it would be the last. At the end of this quest, there would only be one to sit upon that throne. Leon was sure it would be none other than himself.

Clement shifts from a wooden beam, shedding himself from the bark that was once melted to his skin and appearing like a painting come to life in his colorful outfit, and masks. A jester would be more appropriate to call what he wore, but a jester would likely laugh more often then this hitman as he joins the others, having arrived late to the gathering. "If you're looking for more backup, then I suggest my liege, that you perhaps gather up the common folk. Rally them into a frenzy and march them against your enemies. A king is well and good, but a king without people by their side makes for easy targets." He comments as he looks to Leon's other guards.

"A fine day to you both. I assume you already have your hands full with our illustrious future ruler?" He asks, reitorically of course. Clement was not known for being on time, nor punctual when he didn't want to be. He simply appeared, and followed Leon at the hitman's leisure, for he was no knight, or noble. He was an assasin, a hitman simply there to protect and preserve, all for the sake of his contract of course. He takes a quick seat, and waits for further orders by the heir of his contractor.

Lalo shook his head while saying "No" a few times. Trust the one who won't show his face to suggest something so dangerous... It was unimpressive to say the least. Being late to arrive and not knowing anything of what was being discussed, Spending so much time in the castle may have dulled the senses somewhat.

"No one is marching a makeshift army of draphted locals to Drocoka so those winged people on the mountain can attack from the sky with magic...
Even if the skyracers were fine with a foreign army holding position out the front of their land,
We can't expect a ragtag group of hunters and common folk to travel underground and help capture the greatest criminals to ever roam the land"

Lalo hoped that was a decent explanation so he wouldn't have to explain further why throwing lives at the problem wouldn't work.

Kana listened patiently as Gælin emphasized and added on to his original proposal. She closed her eyes, as if to imagine it better. She...actually very much liked that idea, especially when Lalo added his own little inputs. Himself and someone who possessed Earth Mana were going to move forward. While the rest would stay behind to ensure the safety of those in front. She would make sure to keep her senses sharp, so that she could feel any changes in the wind...protect them from any flying projectiles that could bring them harm. When she opened her eyes, she allowed her eyes to run over the people before her, knowing they were all strong...and despite how dire Lalo made the situation, she was confident in the abilities of everyone around them. She nodded firmly to Gælin's and Lalo's words, ensuring they knew that she was listening and that she understood.
Kana leaned forward when Lalo gestured at the thick red line that scratched on top of the map, trying to get a better look, when she accidentally bumped into Leon's side. She mumbled out a soft apology, before she shuffled to the side and continued to eye down the parchment. Absolute tunnel vision. It was as if she was trying to drink in its very image, trying to memorize every little twist and turn in hopes that it would somehow give her an advantage. Then again, one was to expect the unexpected, no? A soft breath escaped her, as if she was still processing all of the information, "I think those are all of my questions, you both spoke very clearly and I am honored to be able to work with you two", she said as she bowed her head to Gælin and to Lalo. A small smile snaked over her lips. They were able to take prisoners, and she knew more than one way to get them to talk...if they caught them, that is.
Kana discreetly rose a hand up to her lips as if to hide the smile that threatened to stretch out, when she saw Sir Lalo, of all people, throwing a frog's bone over to one of their knights. Well, the woman was sleeping on his explanation, and to have to re-explain everything to her would be a bit of a pain. Nonetheless, she knew Winter was strong and not one to really mess with...so she was confident that with a bit of guidance, she'd perform excellently. She paused and awaited to see the woman's reaction, wondering if she would even wake. Ah, she hoped Winter wouldn't hurt her neck from sleeping in such a position, though...thankfully, she had a few heating pads if the knight were to need some.

When Leon summarized their plans, Kana straightened up, only to them smile a little better at the heir. She bit her lower lip to contain her laughter, giving the prince a bit of a one-up as if to silently say, "You and dirt is like mixing water with oil". But, of course, out of respect for the man, she bit her tongue, "Well then, my liege, if you say so. I don't necessarily remember you or Maria ever camping or experiencing outdoor training, but then again...what do I know? I'll look forward to seeing some dirt under your nails, sir", she hummed softly, eyeing the man with great amusement before she turned to look to Lalo once the prince suggested that they should start moving.

"As mentioned before, I am more than happy to look over inventory and supplies we will need for our travels. We do need to ensure we pack light, though", Kana mused, though paused when she saw movement from the corner of her eye. She tensed, ready to attack and protect if--! Oh. Oh...She sighed softly as the...jester, for a lack of better words...appeared before them and greeted them. His way of speaking seemed jolly and upbeat, and she couldn't help but be infected by his energy. However, his suggestion at using mere civilians to face such...such a bloodthirsty group of people made her stomach drop at the very thought. Well, to be expected from an assassin, no? His value for human life was different than theirs. Thankfully, Lalo quickly handled the situation, and of course she agreed with him. The way he shook his head back and forth, clearly rejecting the idea rather violently, relaxed her, "Absolutely, nonetheless, the idea of using dummies is an interesting one...one we could discuss further by foot. From my understanding, you are able to manipulate the wood around you. Perhaps you could make a small army of puppets that look like people, just to throw off the enemy. It's an empty idea, and while your input seems...dangerous...I understand the logic behind it", she assured, smiling at her comrade.

"Anyway, I think we're set. I'll start working on our inventory and we can head out, as Sir Leon insisted. Are we good, Sir Lalo?", Kana asked, raising a brow and looking around the room.
