The Diner - OOC

Name drop away!

That said sorry about being a ghost around here.

I hope you guys weren't waiting on me or CoyoteGhost to move things along.  I was waiting until a few others got a chance to speak with the Sheriff.

Been a tad tied up with school.

Plus forgetting this existed a few times I'll admit.

CoyoteGhost apologized for delays recently, but that was all I heard.

If people do want to ask the Sheriff more, they can go ahead, but I figured it'd be good to keep us moving until the momentum takes care of itself.

Everyone alive?

I'll probably just move us along today.  I hope you haven't been waiting solely on me.

I didn't know this was still alive to be honest.

I'll get to reading once I finally get home.

And yes, if you'd lead the group there it might give some momentum.

Some coal to stoke.

Some fuel for the fire.

Some of fire related things.

I was about to just force the scene there anyway, so this more organic approach would be nice.

It's not dead, but it looks like we may have just lost a few players.  CoyoteGhost has apologized for delays but I haven't otherwise heard a peep.

Things can move slowly sometimes....unlike fire......no fire-related puns coming to mind, though.
Once we get to the doctor we can split the party a bit, Diane'll be cuttin' things, and presumably you guys will go ask the locals some questions, or look at crime scenes.

Alright, I'll be around then.

Not much to say to sherrif grumpy-guts.

I will find time to post where needed. I can't even this weekend: there's a maintenance on our web systems so I -can't- do work for 48 hours. I'm so happy I could cry.

Forced 48 hours off?! That sounds amazing...

We're finished with him for the moment; we're outside the department, about to head to the doctor's. Feel like adding anything, or shall @Grey scoot us along to the clinic?

He can sweep us forward.

i have no qualms.

Got into a really interesting conversation about art history, the sciences, and modern social justice.  Also beer.  I hate to delay us, folks, but I'm gonna have to actually update after breakfast.

On the upside this provided time for Vaneheart and Coyote to get some useful intel.

Again, sorry - I may offer explanations, but don't be afraid to tag me and ask for an update on our progress if you think I'm shirking my GM responsibilities.  I've got a bad memory and a habit of taking on more projects than I can manage sensibly.  Neither be afraid to call me out if you think I'm being inconsiderate of your investment in this game.

I sincerely appreciate your patience and your contributions - this is a good player group and I don't want to let you down.

It's all good.

In the end this is our hobby, not a job, may feel like it at times but it's key to allot time for more important things as well.

I consider hobbies pretty vital, honestly - especially creative hobbies.  There's an investment of time and energy that I want to respect, and if we don't have our hobbies, aren't we just living to work? If you like your work, that's pretty rad, but we don't live in a world where that happens all the time.

Plus I write for a living, and design RPGs for a living, and frankly if people wanted to make a monthly donation for my GMing it's legit my favourite use of effort so I'd gladly treat it professionally in addition to my natural passion.

I mean, I treat it pretty seriously as-is.  I'm the entertainer here, you know?  I promised you a good time and I plan to deliver.

That's not an effort at guilting you guys.  I'm just a drunk socialist.

Go drunk writer, bring your worlds to fruition! I respect your drive to entertain and create, didn't mean to seem like I was kicking the hobby to the curb yea know, just doing the typical "it's okay real life comes first" thing that is the typical standard response for such topics.

I shall continue sitting here, procrastinating projects and being an over all typical college student.

...Fuck I am a shitty student, plus side it's reading week here so I have a week off to do them.
