Fantasy The Calm After War (Always Open and Accepting)

Arabelle cursed when the orc turned to her and tried to make quick decisions. She observed him and tried to find any weak spots, but as he threw the punch to her chest she had to duck, so she did, and attempted to slice off his other arm as he punched the air where she had been. She then saw Lucien stab the orc’s foot so he couldn’t move, and she smirked. He was going to help her instead of escaping.

Bailey O'Connor & Herah Addar
"Just do it! It's our only chance of turning the tides of this fucking battle!" Bailey yelled, mentally and outloud. A loud, ear piercing whistle filled the air, causing the troops which were once pushing the orcs back, to being retreating. She couldn't have any more of her men go down, because if they could either get through this with a victory or at least a retreat, they could try to carry out her end game plan. Because, facing reality, back up wasn't comming. Nobody was going to help the remaining troops, nobody. They had to fight for not only their nation, but their lives.

Suddenly, the front line fighters would feel a lift. Their bodies felt lighter, faster, their strength temporarily returned with a soft green glow. The mages, who were onboard Ari's ship, were now buffing them in anyway they could to help them successfully carry out what the needed to do. Letting out another whistle, Bailey signaled fro the archers in the trees to rejoin the main forces, wanting to save them as well. Her as one whistle was drowned by the distant roar of a dragon.

"Holy shit!" Herah cried with a happy laugh, tearing through two orcs, "Are we gonna fight it? Please tell me were gonna fight it!"

"Let's hope it ignores us!" Bailey shouted back, "So focus Herah!"

"Of course milady!"

As Xonrot unleashed more flames and them not killing all the orcs, they got stronger and stronger. The Kill Death ratio of the Orcs were quickly reaching 5:1, which was effectively eliminating the number advantage the Elves added. Their rage spells were getting to the point where they could kill in one hit from the chest up for anyone not at least Moderately armored, heavily armored for anything hit by a Red Orc Berserker. Out of the flames jumped a Red Orc Berserker with a spiked gauntlet on his arm and covering his fist. He was on fire and slowly taking damage, but it also engulfed his gauntlets in flame. Since Xonrot was hovering over the trees, his underbelly was out there in the open. A punch here, with that Rage Spell would cause some INSANE damage.

Xonrot
He noticed the red orc jump up from the trees. Growling out as he quickly flung himself over with a strong flap of his wings. Moving out of the way of the orc as it barreled pass. Before swooping onto it and sinking his jaws around the orc's middle. Flying up higher as he growled to himself. Shaking the orc to make sure the back was broken before dropping it, His scales almost rising though as he heard the roar in the distance, Flying higher up as he let out his own roar bellowing in response. Waiting a good half mile above the ground while he scanned for the upcoming opponent.

"SUPER WIND SLAM!!" A huge explosion came from the mountainside. Misty had gone all out with her Dive Bomb, using the more powerful version.

A rumble and the ground starts shaking like an earth quake. Screams erupted from the mountainside as all the orcs there were buried in about 15 feet of snow, killed, and were fast traveling down the sides of the mountain.

"Avalanche! We need a fire shield up and as many people on this ship as possible!" Ari's voice boomed over the ship's intercom. "If you're airborne, carry as many as possible!"
He picked up as many as possible with telekinesis and were throwing them in the air to the ship. Elven soldiers were scrambling up the ballista ropes and more were shut down to get more. The orcs on the ship were quickly killed or knocked overboard.

Those under the ship all projected shields while the fire units added flames to them to melt the insane volume of snow coming. Anyone that didn't make it were caught up in the avalanche and carried over a cliff to a long death in a valley below. This wiped the battlefield clean of about half of the orc forces. Only the blue orcs and red orcs as well as their units remained, strong or smart enough to not get carried away. Their rage spells were higher than ever.

A somber silence engulfed the battlefield after the avalanche. What was notable was that the screams of anguish were one in the same between the orcs and the elves caught up in the avalanche. In the darkness, no one would know who died until it was checked in the morning. Their brothers in arms, if they survived which wasn't very likely, they would be too injured to move. Hopefully they had fire magic or a source of fire that could operate even if buried under snow, like a fire or thunder weapon. If not, well..........they'd be frozen by the time the fight was over. Even those veterans never experienced this before. Those orcs were more level headed at this moment than they've probably ever been on a battlefield in their lives. The camp was wiped off the face of the mountain and now it was just silent. Absolutely silent..........

"OVERWHELMING FORCE!!" Evelyn's lone voice pierced the ears of everyone on the battlefield. In the vision of every ally, the dragon became visible in red. Even though the dragon was pretty far away, they could see the red through any solid object. Overwhelming force was never exaggerated. Evelyn was thoroughly spooked. Her voice was one of that looking at an enemy they couldn't possibly defeat. Low and defeated. "A dark force rivaling that of a demigod is approaching. ETA 5 minutes."

The orcs began to fall back and regroup closer to their stronghold. Even they seemed fearful in their movements. There was only one Dragon with a power level high enough to rival Willow. It dawned on Ari at that moment where they were located, where this fight was taking place........ Or what it USED to be before becoming the Frozen Plains. "We're right above Death Valley....... I guess I meet my match here." Ari said, causing some of the soldiers to panic. Before it became an orc territory and fell into an Ice Age, the humans held this land and called it Death Valley for it's 85% death rate for those trying to traverse the valley below. They were about to take on a force seen only once in a lifetime. About 200 years ago, an Ice Dragon was slain in that valley and never buried. Its spirit poured all over the valley below, cursing it and sending the area into an Ice Age from a desert, turning it into the Frozen Plains. They were about to face........the guardian of death valley, somehow falling under Orc command.

An undead Ice Dragon.

This is the Ravinian Crusaders's battle against Semala, the Titan of Death. They have 5 minutes to prepare. If it wasn't in Ari's ship, it was lying in Death Valley.

Arabelle ran across the deck towards Ari and took his hand. “Ari, what’s happening? What is that thing!?” She was incredibly anxious. “Is there any way we can retreat so whatever that is just attacks the Orcs and not us?” She had a couple small cuts.

Cross realizing how far in he was made him decide to let all of the magical energy out. But then an avalanche happened and he had to use it to protect himself. If the Orcs had managed to survive they would have found themselves in a large circle where the avalance had landed on him and the Orcs. "Well how abou \t we call you guys the winnrs. We have something big to deal with."

Ari laughed, but this was a laugh more of despair than anything. "We can't get back to Faylen in 5 minutes. Plus, we have far too many troops to put on this ship, even if we pack in like sardines. Either we fight this thing or we leave behind those not on the ship." Obviously Ari wasn't gonna leave soldiers behind. Ari pulled out a mana potion and a stamina potion and drained them both, feeling his body filling up with energy again. His intent was obvious after that. "This may very well be our last stand. This is unlike Khan's Army, where it was just a bunch of enemies. This is one enemy capable of killing us all." Ari sighed. Ryan could kill this dragon. Willow could take control of in a best case scenario. Elaina would be a powerhouse capable of dealing insane damage to it............but they were all at the castle. Ari looked out. It was 5:30 now and the sun would start peeking over the horizon soon, but it was still fairly dark. By sunrise, they would either conquer their greatest enemy, or be found dead

The orcs ran off, but not without a parting shot. "Semala is going to kill you all. Luckily for us, we kept the Frozen Plains protected." Semala was apparently about to come fight on behalf of the Orcs. "Good luck." the orc said with a laugh as he disappeared in the trees. They feared Semala, but were leaving to prevent their own death and establish plans for if the Elven Army somehow survived the encounter with her. Semala wouldn't attack the Orcs, but wouldn't bat an eye if her breath attack killed a few friendlies. She didn't give a fuck.

Ari looked around. They were on his ship, so they were under his command for the time being and currently on standby waiting for order, even moreso than usual. While they looked down on him for being human, even they had to acknowledge that his battleship coming in when it did prevented their loss. Ari and Bailey both certainly won some respect here, but none of that mattered if they died. Bailey had them recover fairly well and Ari gave them enough support to let them push back. Still, Ari thought. Bailey runs the show. Send them back to Bailey. "Alright. All ground fighters, group up with Bailey on the ground. I got the skies as usual. Mages, I need half of you on the ground and the other here. Archers with magic capabilities, go establish a nest. The rest of the archers? Go get some enchanted supplies and take about 3 mages per nest to enchant. Get all Necromancers on the ground. It's more than likely that the dragon can raise the dead." Ari called out upcoming battle advice. Looks like picking up a book instead of a blade like most of these soldiers would serve him well...........but would it be well enough?

  • Fire and Holy magics were the way to go.
  • Heals from Ice, Dark, Shadow, Demonic, and Death magics
  • Dark Magic-wise, Does everything Willow can with high deliberate and murderous intent
  • If it's not enchanted somehow, it is useless.
  • Cast as much Light Magic as possible because Dark Spells has an obvious advantage in the Dark
  • Since it is a dragon, it may target other dragons over the others
  • May get weaker if it can be stalled until the sun shines
Now for Ari's own crew. "Get those cannons loaded and make sure those shields are at full capacity. Make sure the other shields are on standby, and get the strongest on the loading crew. We need to output more shots per minute than we've been doing. Evelyn, you're here with me aiming this stuff." Once again, they weren't preparing to kill. They were preparing to survive.

His flight pattern caught up slightly as he looked at the outline of the dragon in the distance, already starting to feel a sense of dread that is accompanied with being near an undead dragon none the less. Looking down at the battlefield as he watched the orcs retreat, flying down till he was hovering near the ship with a slight growl for a moment. Taking back off to flight after he got the information he needed about the dragon flying towards them. Making sure to get higher up to have an advantage. His claws at the ready as a fire was being built up in the back of his throat and his mouth.

Arabelle watched Ari nervously and took his hand, squeezing it. She knew she was completely useless in this fight, but she wanted to help. Celia’s words rang out in her head. The war was her fault. She was about to watch her friends die and it would be her fault. She bit her lip and wondered if Celia’s offer would really save them.

Cross decided to try and get a hold of the voice that showed up in his head. "Uh hey whoever you are? I'm assuming you are a telepath of some sort. So I hope you can hear me at the moment. Where is the frontline. And also who in the hell thought this place was a good place to battle in an area where a Ice dragon died? We may as well be desecrating graves while we are at it."

"It's Ari, Cross." Ari said telepathically, annoyed that Cross didn't recognize his voice. "In this case, the frontlines will be towards where Semala comes from..........and if you've been watching people up close, you'd notice that very few of them have human ears. Take that up with Bailey, as I doubt any of the elves did their homework as to the history of Death Valley before it became Orc Territory." When a territory falls under control of a country you have intense tensions with, the last thing you really tend to care about is the human history it fell under before then

"The reason Semala is up and angry is that this ISN'T a grave. Speculation, but there's a chance that that stupid necromancer woke it up with his raising the dead and, him being human, decided to fight on behalf of the Orcs to get rid of us............" Ari shook his head. No need to think about the context, as it was probably false. All Ari knew was that Semala was gonna be laid to rest here, or their dead bodies and souls would be consumed by her.

"You've earned that 500 gold, Cross. I'll multiply it by 10 if you survive this, but I will haunt your ass for the rest of your life if I die since you're in debt for my drink." Ari chuckled as he stood at the helm of his ship. Arabelle came and squeezed his hand and he smiled at her. He grasped something on his neck and took it off. He placed it in her hand and then kissed her. "I'm the Black Assassin. We're the Ravinian Crusaders. We don't go down easy."

When she looked at it, she'd see that she was given Ari's Necklace. Twas made and given to him by Elaina when she was 6. It was his symbol of being the Black Assassin and he absolutely never took it off, not even in the shower or to sleep.........until this moment. It was constantly seen as a woman's necklace, but that never deterred Ari before.

Ari moved to the helm of his ship to confront the beast incoming. There was Arabelle, Bailey, Cross, and himself. "We're missing a member.......... That sucks."

"You have some nerve showing up to my mountain again after leaving me to suffer and die without a burial. You desecrate the graves of those who die here........... with your malicious killing using the magic I gifted to you........Foul............ Filthy!"
A powerful roar that shook even the ship. The dragon was in visual range, but not attack range yet. They didn't need Evelyn's spotting to see it now, as it was surrounded by blue flames. All the vegetation shriveled up and it started to snow hard. The temperature lowered to about 19 degrees from the 30 it was at. This dragon was pretty much only bones and looked absolutely terrifying. Nightmare fuel. Some of the soldiers elected to take their chances with prison time and dishonor by running the hell away. Ari couldn't blame him. The dragon grew closer and the temperature dropped even more. Directly in front of the dragon would be a temperature of about -10 degrees
undead_dragon_by_sigbjornpedersen-d8fb8nn.jpg

Everyone in the area was seeing memories of what happened to cause the dragon's death, memories that weren't altered by textbooks. Pure, raw, uncensored memories. A dragon on good relations with every species, respected as the most powerful source of Ice Magic yet the only dragon willing to share their knowledge. That same dragon being captured, wings tied to around her body to prevent movement. Dread, confusion, and heartache stemmed from the dragon as the species who respected her so much, that she respected herself, were suddenly turning on her. Every stab into her body hurting her more emotionally than physically, each one another heartbreak on its own. Her tears soaked the desert sand as did her blood. Her wings tied and body anchored. "Why........" she could barely say the word as her throat was so caked with blood and her mind so cloudy with pain both physical but far more emotional. "What did I............ do wrong?"

The soldiers parted to let their leader by. The dragon looked into the eyes of King Leon Valerian, Protected with the highest level armor, donning a powerful blade. "Can't have dragons keeping us from expanding." he said. This happened during Leon's campaign to exterminate non-humans.

"I.........gave you equal access.........to my territory." The dragon coughed up blood and closed her eyes in pain as her back scales were shattered and her underbelly was dug into with axes and spears. Benevolent dragons who gave up land to live in harmony and taught the people higher level Ice Magic wasn't excluded from the campaign's blacklist
"Manifest Destiny. I wanted all of it. Half isn't all......." King Leon walked off, leaving the dragon to die
The men all left, leaving the Semala's insides mutilated and her scales shattered all over her back. She was lying in a pool of her own blood that could fill a pond. She was left alone, brewing in her own emotional and physical pain, unable to move or cast any sort of magic to help herself. She closed her eyes. "I was warned about this," she said in her mind as her breathing slowed. "But I didn't listen. You probably think I'm a fool, mother. You're right........"

"I WON'T REST UNTIL YOU SUFFER LIKE I DID!"
The memory dissolved in a sea of spirit flames as an even more powerful roar shook the land. The dragon was recalling the memory herself and it put the memory in the minds of all those on the battle. The members of the Iron Roses were donning gear with Valerian's crest on the armor, the swords, the shields and that only enraged her even more, as people who used to work with Valerian were here yet again. Now in effective attack range, Semala began charging a MASSIVE blue fireball in her mouth and launched it. It split into about 10 only slightly smaller fireballs. The giant fireball in the middle began slowing down, but getting stronger and bigger as it absorbed the mana from all around it, which included from the Holy Fallout. It became much easier to dodge a direct hit from that last one, but harder to get out of blast range. By the time it made it to the ship, it would be able to wipe out everyone

"Leon is fucking with us from beyond the grave!" Ari yelled out

He faltered for a split second as he felt the memories flowing through him, yet they weren't his own. A glare growing on his face before growing somber. This was a fight that could only end in one side falling. A slight sigh escaping him along with flames flicking from his mouth as it opened slightly. Before sending a torrent of flames down onto the undead dragon's back as he dived down. Slamming into her back as he easily resisted the extreme temperatures...Though it was uncomfortable even for him, Clawing slightly as he tried to make the dragon slam down into the ground, then quickly jumping off and taking to the skies once more. He couldn't last in a full on fight of tooth and nail against a true dragon that was larger than him for sure. Quickly spinning around midair as he watched for the dragon's next action, glancing at cross before roaring out to him. "You need to help now! So hurry up and get moving!"

Bakuyoshi Bakuyoshi

Cross was assaulted with the memories of the ice dragon. But he felt everything from them. Even that unending sorrow. "I'm not doing this for any of you. I'm doing this for her sake now. I'm going to give her that burial she deserves." Cross immediately transformed one last time. And shouted to the gold dragon

"We give her the rest she deserves! And I'll work to that goal even if I die!" He shot upwards flying alongside the gold dragon. "You take the lead and bark me orders. We do this together!"

Lucien Lacriox
Battleship
The appearance of the dark dragon sent chills down Lucien. He recognized it as a being of anger and hatred similar to himself, except one that is of a far greater magnitude. It made him feel minuscule in comparison, it made him realize how small he was of an existence, and that did not sit well with him, not at all. However, when the memories came rushing it, when he felt the pain and suffering experienced by the dragon, the heartache felt upon her betrayal, he found it all to be so nostalgic, as if he himself had went through something similar before. A pain began burning within his chest, a pain that may have been always there, and pain that he may have distracted himself from with his own hatred and anger, and the moment he acknowledge the pain, it sudden all came back to him, the memories long buried away.

"Ah... What have I been doing all this time? I wanted them to pay, I wanted them all to pay. But they're all gone now aren't they, they've all left me behind and I never even had a chance. The only thing I had left to blame was the heavens and the heartless gods which resides above, but even then, I see now, I could never have reached them."

Lucien dragged himself over towards the direction the fireball is coming from, and with two hands raised, he created a shield, one made with a multitude of shields layered upon one another, a shield that ended up being 30 centimeters thick by the time he finished.

""These hands were meant to protect and ease the pain of the wounded." I said something like that once didn't I? I thought I had turned away from that a long time ago. To think it would end this way."

His body was breaking apart, all of his being, both body and soul was being converted into magic to fuel his massive shield, a shield that would hopefully defend against the dragon's fire.

"There is no peace for me in this world, the injustice done to me had long passed without judgement and nothing could be done to reverse it. The same is for you as well, no? I realized that for me, the only peace I will find is in oblivion, perhaps it is the same for you, Semala. If so, then I hope someone would send you on your way."

It may be presumptuous, but Lucien saw the dark dragon as a kindred spirit, and having witness the creature and her suffering, it was like looking upon a mirror. In this mirror he saw what he had been ignoring this whole time, the hatred he latched onto for the sake of hatred, the anger he held unto for a justice had long passed its relevance. Lucien was done.

By the time the fireball had come and gone, Lucien would not know if his shield had held, he would not know if everyone aboard is dead, for he was gone, body and soul.

The mages exterminated the flames with a massive outpour of Water Magic. It took far too much to exterminate just half the flames. The ship was rocked as one of the fireballs hit it and the ship projected a shield to protect against another. It cracked. They still had 7 fucking fireballs to go before Big Nasty showed up, and one shield was already cracked. "Aim those cannons!" Ari called out, him and Evelyn giving them the exact spot to fire. "We killed Valerian for you Semala. We'll make up for his sins! FIRE!!" This fight took on a whole new meaning for him. He had to take this dragon down but not just for his own life or for those around him. They took Valerian down because of his campaign against non-humans. Semala was a victim of this, so this was part of their mission, which was now revealed to be incomplete in Ari's mind.

The dragon didn't even falter as Xonrot slammed into Semala's back. She moved, but only slightly. She was ENORMOUS, bigger than both Cross and Xonrot put together. Both Cross and Xonrot were tackled to the ground out of nowhere. When they looked up, they'd see Semala looking right in their faces before disappearing and seeing Semala still in the air with a blue fireball charging in her mouth. Semala had used duplication to knock them both to the ground from above. "You help those who hurt me like they did!? YOU DON'T DESERVE THE NOBLE BLOOD IN YOUR VEINS!!"

The fireball in her mouth compressed to the size of a basketball (very small considering her size) and she shot a blue laser from her mouth in a sweeping motion, feeding from the fireball. If it made contact, it would pass over their midsection, then explode, slicing them in half through their scales, then exploding their severed bodies apart
97A94530A38AA4A6D242D18F998A8FDA254DAC08

Semala was suddenly knocked to the side by a White Cannonball that exploded in Holy Napalm, actually moving her. Semala roared as her body was covered in the napalm, but she didn't seem all that fazed beyond surprise. What was noticeable though was that red sparks were starting to jump on her body. Semala had her own version of the Rage Spell. One uncommon even among Dragons, but highly feared nontheless. Very few sparks jumped on her body.
"0.5% increase in Semala's Magic power," Evelyn yelled. As health got lower, power gets higher. Unlike the Rage Spell they all could use, it only activated at less than 50% health. The Demon Rage spell though was from full health and then doubled its effects at every quarter with stacking effects. This meant by the time it reached 1% health, Semala would be at 600% power, unlike the 200% used by mortals. A 0.5% increase in a dragon's power wouldn't mean much to fellow dragons, but it WOULD definitely mean something to those that weren't. A spell at 600% power for a dragon at Semala's level would be enough to one-shot any and all beings lying between T'ableilas City and the Orc Stronghold with one spell. Needless to say, it would be a VERY hard battle
For now though, no real changes in the Dragon's Strength.

The middle Fireball was now enormous. "Focus everything on destroying that middle one, or this ship's going down! Hydro rounds, let's go!" Ari yelled out. He would get back to Cross and Xonrot later. Blue Cannonballs were loaded up on the ship to aim at the huge fireball approaching. "Keep stalling, dragons. We will pour out more support after we knock this thing down."

It didn't need to be done though, as one of the young privates stepped forward and put his entire existence into another shield. As the shield took hit after hit and didn't start faltering until the last smaller one was done, Ari was impressed. Who was this Private and what was he in the frontlines. Fuck it. He was a god-send. His shield cracked, but it along with the ship's shield protected against Big Nasty, albeit shattering in the process. "I don't know who you are, Private, but you're getting a Medal of Honor and going in the Ravinian Hall of Heroes for this one."
Dogtags fell from where he disappeared. Ari picked them up and put them in his pocket

Meanwhile, those on the ground were confronted by the dead they fought before. Semala had plenty enough souls from the thousands upon thousands that died in between when she died and when she was awakened, so the Rapture spell didn't affect her at all. These dead though were all very strong and had magic capabilities. They also included the dead orcs, so the ground troops now had to face down the Red Orc Berserkers again.........but this time undead, giving them much more strength and pain immunity, as well as one way to kill them. Go for the brain. Ari wasn't just barking out orders. He took aim with his crossbow and was firing below to take out the newly risen dead

Some of the dead jumped on the ship. Guess who's back? The same orc that Arabelle sliced the arm off of, rage spell in full force since he was undead. The undead orc charged in, throwing a kick at Arabelle's midsection. He wanted revenge for his lost arm

YOU DON'T DESERVE THE NOBLE BLOOD IN YOUR VEINS!!

Semala was suddenly knocked to the side by a White Cannonball that exploded in Holy Napalm, actually moving her. Xonrot.
He let out a slight growl as he was slammed into the ground by a duplicate. Standing before jumping to the side as he noticed the laser moving along the ground from what was once a giant fireball. Instinct haven kicked in at that moment before the explosion went off, causing him to cower slightly. Looking up at Semala with a growl as he heard her words. Taking flight once more as he let his aura flare the best it possibly could. Sending out another torrent of flames at her side as he started to fly over her once more. Slamming into her back before latching on, using the size difference to his advantage. While also waiting for another double to start charging at him. Roaring over to cross during his wait. "Do whatever you can do against this thing, I'm no leader."

Cross dodged to the side with the laser nearly hitting him. "I've cut my ties with them for this battle. I stand here wanting to see that you get the rest that Valerian took from you. And if it means me having to suffer the same I'll go to the afterlife with you!"

Cross then flew to one of her wings using his claws to try and damage her wings. At the moment he knew in an Aerial fight him and Xornot had no chance.

"Hey Goldie aim for the wings. We can't hope to take her on in the air!" He shouted to Xornot hoping the gold dragon could follow.

Arabelle closed her hand around Ari’s necklace and put it on, taking a deep breath. When she saw the dragon’s memories and saw Leon, she gasped. She felt awful for the creature, and even more crushing guilt. Of she had stopped him faster, worked harder. Her fault, her fault, her fault. When the orc came back she groaned. “Fuck, you again?” Arabelle dropped to the deck to avoid being kicked and immediately jumped back up, slicing at the Orc’s throat.

The Orc took the slash but, being undead, it didn't matter. She needed to go for the brain, not the throat. He took her arm and punched her in the stomach, knocking the wind out of her and likely sending her stomach into turmoil. He then threw her through a wall into a different room with ease. He walked forward, grabbing a splintered plank from the broken wall to use as a weapon.

Only 1 fireball hit as the rest ran into a shield she projected.
"1% increase in power."

Cross clawed at her to damage her wings...........Damage her wings? No Dice. If it wasn't damaged with either Fire or Holy, it was useless since Semala was Undead. Ari told everyone this, so Cross was about to learn the hard way. She grabbed his arm and spun around hard, trying to dislodge Xonrot, then slammed herself back on the ground hard, right on top of Cross. The temperature dropped to even lower and a mist surrounded her, at about -50 degrees, and blocked the visions of anyone outside of the Icy Mist. Small orbs of blue light formed in the mist and turned into sword. They launched at Xonrot from the side and launched at Cross's head and sides between the air gap from him and Semala

"Your intent is obvious. You came here with a war party, not a burial party for neither me nor anyone else who died here. LYING TRAITOR!!" Semala roared in his face and held him down as the swords went for Cross's head. She was beyond reasoning. No one had ever attempted to bury her, leaving her body to decompose and her spirit to walk Death Valley. With them all here befouling the graves of the dead, and the draconians fighting on a side instead of trying to secure the site and bury her, it lumped them in with everyone else. One thing to note was that she was pissed about them fighting on these grounds of those without a burial. She wasn't the only one because she wasn't the only one to die in Death Valley. She wasn't just pissed for her sake. Theirs as well. "This is MY Valley and those who perished here alone are mine to save from all your disrespect!!"

Ari couldn't get a good shot with the ship's cannons. They were all far too close and they could hit a friendly. Ari decided to use his bow. He took aim at the swords going for Cross's head. A shot from his bow using Stillpiercer destroyed both the sword and the arrow. However, with Semala still there holding him down, the swords kept coming. At some point, Ari wouldn't be able to keep up as the swords kept coming faster and faster. What Ari couldn't shoot were the Ice Swords going for Cross's side on Ari's far side that was blocked by their massive bodied. That Icy Mist would severely weaken his fire breath as it sent her body temperature to an extreme low and kept it from warming up easily.

He let out another slight growl as he felt himself spinning around while wrapping his claws around the ribs on her back. Flattening his wings to his sides as he started to build up another flame once more, curing to himself silently at the foolishness from Cross. Shaking his head for a moment as he was jerked around slightly when Semala slammed into the ground finally. Letting another torrent lose into the back of her head, for the best it could do with the cold temperatures. Before realizing and quickly switching to sending the torrent right into the center of her back at point blank range. Trying to get her to rear up even slightly so cross might stand a chance. His body working overtime now as it tried to reheat the air around him to weaken the 'shield' that had formed when she made the temperature plummet. Taking a moment as he finally thought about the words as well.

"I had no knowledge of the history of this land before, I meant no disrespect when I was fighting here, and I mean none now. All I'm trying to do is to help prevent more people from having to walk and share the same fate you did. So if you would please calm down, I may be able to help both your situation, and the thousands if not hundreds of thousands of people here now."

Cross could not believe the hatred he was seeing. He had no idea what to do. If he kept fighting then he would only prove her point. Then he had a small idea. "Then I'll prove it to you." Cross immediately casted his scorching ray and instead of going for her he aimed them at the swords. 5 spears of fire appeared and launched at the swords. "I only came here to give supplies to orcs for a quick gold. And I was just dragged further and further in. Basically get paid or die. As of now I'm only in this fight to calm you. My kind worships the dragons. And I would never dare disrespect you. And as I mentioned I will bury you. Even if it ends up with me sharing it." Cross began to thrash to get out of her grasp. But he seemed to have hardly any fight in him. The orcs had taken a good amount of energy from him. And his current form only worsened the weakness.

Arabelle gasped in pain when she was punched and felt the wind knocked out of her, struggling to breathe as she was thrown through a wall. She groaned and her head was bleeding. She was still gripping her sword and managed to jump up, attacking the orc and attempting to kick his remaining arm away and stab him through his eye.

Semala roared again as her head was burned, albeit not bad. She let Cross up to go for Xonrot. "I tried to be humble, tried to move past the discrimination of my people to get them to see that we could all live in harmony. All you mortal denizens of this planet. I was treated as well as I was treating others. I followed all your golden rules. Humans, Elves, Half-Dragons, orcs alike. I did my best for you all, got all of you out of danger. Stopped mountain blizzards so you don't freeze to death. It wasn't just humans who hurt me. Was all who look like humans working under that........" She roared the loudest she'd done before, shattering all glass on Ari's ship. Tears were falling again "..........That TRAITOROUS SNAKE-TONGUED MONSTER!! You watched what he did, hitting me yourself to stay in favor of his genocide."

The mist expanded to envelop the entire field. Hundreds of orbs appeared and formed into swords. They aimed at the nearest targets. Xonrot, Cross, and the Ship, all from every direction. "I'm not the biggest threat here. YOUR COWARDICE IS!!!"

"SUPER WIND SLAM!!" Misty charged in from the clouds above and slammed into Semala's back, interrupting her spell. This moved perfectly into another Holy Cannonball striking her dead center in her underbelly and unleashing a Holy Explosion. Semala was blasted into the dead trees nearby and hit with a flurry of magic-enchanted arrows from the archer. Another one came from Ari as he used Divide and Conquer centered on her midsection with Mystic-Enchanted arrows

"Cross! WE killed Valerian! If she won't listen to us after avenging her death, she's not listening to you. The only option is to take her down!" Short of running away, Cross wasn't getting out of fighting her, nor were anyone else on the battlefield. Ari didn't want to fight Semala either. He would've elected to bury her bones without the fight, but they didn't really get that option right now, did they?
"15% power increase, Sergeant!" Evelyn yelled. What they did caused a good amount of damage. At 15%, the red sparks were easily visible now and the power increase would be noticeable as well.

The draconian's distraction opened Semala up to a big attack, and Ari took advantage of it

Semala stood up. Her blue flames got stronger. "You made me into this. You did this to me. I won't trust another one of you." She breathed her blue flame breath. All that got hit were immediately frozen solid and turned to ash inside that ice block. She flew up and spun around, turning a frontflip, and smacking Xonrot right out of the air. She shot a fireball in the air right into a magic circle. As it crossed, it split into a bunch of equally sized fireballs. These went into more magic circles and split even more. One final circle and they all froze over into Ice Balls. This effectively turned the field into the grounds for a huge hailstorm. Each one would be in comparison to a Red Orc smacking you at full strength with a warhammer

"GET THOSE SHIE-" The ship was rocked by a hailstone. Then another before the shield got projected. Luckily the floors were remade with metal. There were heavy dents in it and another would bust through, exposing the medical bay and the engine room. They didn't need hail this size hitting their engine. The orc jumped in surprise as the plank was kicked away. He moved his head, Arabelle's blade taking off his ear, and rammed her backwards. He then picked up the plank and charged at her, aiming to knock her unconscious. If he missed, it would shatter the wood. If it hit, that was instant concussion if not knocking her unconscious.

He let out a yelp as he was slammed into before crashing into the ground. Watching Semala for a moment before tensing as he saw each ice ball. Quickly taking to the air once more as he weaved his way between the easily visible orbs to get above them. His flight being slightly labored now as he could feel where each scale was cracked from the impact. Doing his best to gain the height advantage as he had only that to work for him, though upon reaching even just level altitude he growled. Focusing his aura into the torrent of flames that flew from him as he put as much effort as he could spare into it. Sending the equivalent of holy flames at her before going right back to climbing up, his aura now weakened to the point where contact would be needed for it's effects to work.

Semala flew around, the hailstones phazing through her as she did so

Arabelle cursed. She ducked out of the way after he charged and spun behind him. She stabbed him in the back of the head, pulling out her blade and flicking the blood off of it. She saw the chaos outside and knew this was a losing game. She ran downstairs into her and Ari’s room. “Celia! I need you.”
