Tanaka had been skimming through books for awhile, and had only found vague references to what he was looking for. Vague in the sense they were similar beings, but not the one he was hoping for. Thankfully he did get one clue; his suspicions on what exactly Selkis was were confirmed. It was a mix of both a Demonic and a Ghostly being. It seems Selkis managed to become strong enough to consume a few weaker Demons, integrating their power into it's own. Well, these were still suspicions, but the beings in the books were quite similar to what Selkis' powers were like.

After reading a couple more lines, he heard Marnie call out to him. He figured he'd better escort her home. After all, he preferred living, and not escorting Marnie home was counterproductive to that... He shivered a bit at what Avalyn would do if he let Marnie walk home by herself... Avalyn would easily use the excuse that Tanaka was right there when she left and so could have prevented it if anything happened. "I most definitely prefer living thank you very much." He mumble this to himself as he put the book back on the shelf and caught up with Marnie.

"Hold up, I'm heading out too. I'll take you home before heading over to visit my parents. Actually if I didn't, my mom would scold me while watching Avalyn cut me into little pieces..." He sighs and grabs his coat and gloves before opening the door open for Marnie and gave a small smirk, bowing and acting as if he was a butler escorting his lady.

Marnie:
Marnie laughed at Tanaka and stepped out the door flushing a slight shade of pink.
"Why thankyou" she chimed in a fake posh voice before spluttering a little on a giggle. As they walked Marnie distractedly pulled at the wool on her jumper.
"You'll be at mine tomorrow morning right?" She looked up at him with wide doe eyes that reflected the fear she haboured that she'd have to go about this task on her own.
"Kel is coming and I should have some places to look at." As they reached the door she stopped,
"I am sorry for keeping you from seeing your mum on christmas day...you should go and be with her" she looked at her feet and pulled on a smile "I'm just going to research. No adventures tonight I promise!" She declared before opening the door to the apartment. Before stepping through though she turned and flung her arms around Tanaka "Merry Christmas you two!" She chimed before pulling away and waving Tanaka and Shar off.

Once Marnie had finally sat down at her laptop she rubbed her eyes and yawned. Her fingers stayed poised at the keyboard for a second before clicking open her browser the light from the screen illuminating her face.
The next couple of hours were spent scrolling through page after page of search results for haunted locations which every now and again prompted her to scrawl something down on a napkin before throwing it down on the table with the growing pile.
At somepoint once the night had fully settled Marnie was pulled from her task by the ring of her mobile which she picked up before checking the caller ID.
"Hello?"
"Marissa Daaaarling" the shrill voice of her mother caused her to wince and briefly extend the phone away from her ear, "Merry Christmas!"
"What?" She was genuinely shocked. Never in her life had her mother cared for christmas. No matter how much she begged and whined as a child there was never a tree and never present. Christmas just didn't exsist period. "You can't be serious..." she heard and exasperated sigh on the end of the phone and then her mother clear her throat slightly like she was offended.
"Avalyn said you're still having issues manifesting any abilities and I...." her mother paused before continuing, "Mariss- Marnie... I may not believe in Christmas but if I had not been so dismissive of your emotional needs..." she didn't need to finish her sentence. "So I... I bought a Turkey!" Marnie nearly dropped her phone and gwaffed.
"You what?!" She laughed "oh that's a good one!"
"No... I did, why don't you come over and we can spend part of christmas together?"
Marnie agreed, despite it sounding too good to be true her spirits were on cloud nine as she floated around her appartment picking out a little black dress and some Christmas ribbon to half tie her hair back. She didn't want to over do the attire and scare her mum off the idea of Christmas for good. Before leaving she wrapped a jar of some weird potions ingredient up neatly and set foot into the night.

She turned up at the abandoned church the coven resided in with its giant gothic stained glass windows and flocks of pidegons nesting in the roof. To Marnie it had been her childhood home but to most humans it didn't even register due to a small cloaking spell. She took two steps inside though and her eyes widened. Her mum had indeed got a turkey.
There were 12 witches including her mother busy lighting candled in their black cermonial robes and finishing off a chalk symbol on the floor. In the centre was a Turkey tied up on a slab for the most part looking serene with a little help from some magic.
She felt sick, tears began to prick her eyes and one of the older ladies was slipping a robe over her shoulders but she didn't hear the urges to hurry because she was being pushed closer and closer to the turkey and her mother who looked so pleased with herself.
"Wha- what is this?" Marnie was now ashamed that the tears were falling freely. Her hands still tightly holding the wrapped present as she stood before the woman she tried so hard to make proud for so long.
"It's a Turkey! You can carve it or stab it... which ever... use this knife though" she waved the glistening ritual knife nonchalantly in front of her,
"I-It's not cooked...." Marnie was shaking "Mum... it's still alive" Marnie scanned the room desperate to see Avalyn running to her in order to intervene but she was nowhere to be seen.
"Well yes. He does like them fresh." The others started to chant in low voices the sound resonating as one as her mum knocked the present to the floor and shoving the knife into Marnies hands. The air started to fill with Arcane magic but the air around Marnie just got damper and heavy like something was trying to resist joining the flow of energy around her. Harsh hands turned her to face the turkey twisting her almost violently. The mother attached to those arms showing bo empathy to her daughters tears and distress as she let her voice join the chorus behind them.

Tonight was the night in which Shaun had spent months preparing for. Between not being at work or getting attacked at random he had been working on a plan to takedown a coven of witches that had been summoning demons unchecked. Unlike all the others he had dealt with they had some good numbers that would easily deal with him if unprepared. For the passed 6 months he hass been sending people to spy on them and all those connected to them. It was definitely getting it to the level of stalker territory for sure and he couldn't wait to end it all. He had the names and information of all 12 who were seen performing the rituals every Friday and any family they might have who could be a problem. His research into them did bring up a lot including someone named Marnie who seemed to be the odd one out. Luckily for him his spies watching her have said she doesn't have any magic nor does she have any interest in summoning a demon. There was so more personal information he got but that wasn't important so he didn't focus on it. He was able to ask Luke, a warlock he knows, what was the best way to handle this. As it happened he had the perfect solution but it would take time and a lot of foot work.

Luke had suggested that he perform a ritual that would siphon the magic out of a target and place it in an object or person. Shaun set the plan in motion by sending people after them to place an invisible marker on each one of them so to make sure he gets the right people. It wasn't so easy since they didn't all always go out but a few package deliveries later they all were marked. To prevent any last minute escapes every night during the week he placed parts of a magical circle that would negate anyone but him from teleporting out and would lock everyone in u til he was done. He had to apply it slowly so it wouldn't be easily detected until the last minute. And lastly he needed a vessel to contain the magic of 12 witches. Not just anything would do so Luke had down him the honor of making something strong enough and it jist happened to had been done on christmas morning.

Most of the day he had just relaxed himself getting mentally prepared for this endeavor. He did the normal stuff like playing some games and watching christmas movies like he did every year. It was nice but once Luke came around to bring him his "present" he got serious by grabbing the disguise he made just for this job. After a quick chant of an incantation he was outside the church waiting everyone to arrive. After an hour of patently waiting they all had arrived and went to work finishing the magic circle. Not wasting time he grabbed the vessel and teleported inside. He was a bit shocked to see Marnie there but that didn't change the plan. He blasted a wave of force knocking them all off their feet then put up a barrier so he couldn't be stopped. He started chanting the spell Luke gave him hoping that in the next minute no one can stop him.

Marnie:
Marnie was knocked of her feet and emitted a sharp yelp knocking her head off the floor and dropping the knife. The chanting had stopped and taking a deep breath Marnie bustled onto her feet and pressed a hand to the back of her head unaware of the chaos around her.
The witches were dashing to their feet and some were bolting to the doors but unable to leave with threw them further into hysteria. A couple thought the ritual had been a success and were bowing to their new "demon". A few were getting ready to attack Shaun. Marnies mother however got up slowly and glared at her daughter.
"You're good for nothing look at you." She spat.
Marnie was dazed she didnt have the best constitution and her head had hit a rough piece of floor that had been in dire need of repair but she didnt notice the slight trickle of blood on her hand and just stared at her mother...
"You will never amount to anything" Marnies vision was a touch blurry but she got on the floor and picked up the knife before turning away from her mother and picking up the screaming turkey that was now in distress. It calmed down instantly and Marnie cut the ties off gently before dropping the knife again. Her mother lunged at her but a patch of ice stuck her in place her mothers face was one of shock and anger all at once. Marnie now satisfied she was in no danger from those closest turned to look at Shaun,fear showing in her eyes as she clutched the quiet but alert turkey to her chest. She didn't know why he'd stopped her mum in her tracks like that. She didn't know that actually he hadn't. She also didn't know what he was doing, in this second she didn't know if he was friend or foe.

One witch started to attack the barrier around him with her bare hands and another with a candlestick screaming blood curdling cries at him as the others continued trying to cast spells but a few more tried to flee again.

Throughout speak the incantation Shaun kept his eye shut not out of fear but to maintain absolute focus. If he let up for even one second his whole plan would fail and he would be forced to retreat after all the prep work he put into this. Of course he heard screaming and had the vague since that a few of them were trying to break his barrier to stop him. He couldn't stop to deal with that as he was nearing the end of the spell. Once the final words passed his lips he pulled the top off the vessel the opened his eyes. Everyone accept for him and Marnie started to glow with a radiant light and started to float in the air. They all of course tried to struggle but it was too late anything they could of done was impossible to do now. Some of them begged and pleaded for him to stop and not do what he was doing to them but their words word not make him falter. With a wave of his hand like someone beckoning another the light that glowed from them burst forth from their bodies and flew towards him landing inside the vessel. Once their magic was fully drain the fell back to the ground gasping for air as if the wind had been knocked out of them. Once the final last vestiges of magic passed into the vessel he placed the top back on it sealing it away with him being the only one who can unleash it back into the world. Proud of his work and confident that he had everything under control he dropped his barrier.

"From now on there will no longer be any demon summoning from any of you. As punishment for your crimes you have been stripped all your power and left with no way of ever getting it back." He looked over at Marnie and finally noticed that she was bleeding a little bit. Not wanting any reason for her to be upset he walked right up to her while pulling something out of his pocket. "Sorry about that I wasn't expecting you to be here tonight but this should fix that." He had pulled out a glass bottle with some kind of bright red liquid or more common known as a healing potion. He uncorked the bottle and let it drip a little on her wound then put it away. In less than 5 seconds she was completely healed from her admittedly mi or injury.

Tanaka | Sharounna


Tanaka dropped Marnie off at her apartment before heading back to his own to shower and change before heading over to his parents house. As he was heading out, he felt a slight chill down his neck but couldn’t place why. He decided to be on guard on the way there. He knew such a chill wasn’t something to ignore, his mom had drilled that into him. She had taught him that even if that feeling turned out to be nothing, ignoring it once could end up with him regretting it.
After arriving at a Japanese style manor, he turned and walked through the large gateway before arriving at the front door. He knocked, and what appeared to be a young girl opened the door. The voice that followed however, gave the impression of a mature woman. “Tanaka dear, your a bit late. Did something happen on your way here? Or perhaps you were with someone earlier?” Smiling mischievously, the small figure looked up at Tanaka with a knowing look. “I know better than that Mom, you know exactly what I was doing, even without the texts I sent.” Sighing, he steps inside as his mother giggles and opens the door further. As he takes off his coat, another chill, stronger than the earlier one, runs down his back. His mother notices it but doesn’t let it show. Tanaka however begins showing a bit of worry on his face. That chill was not one he’d ignore even without his mothers teachings. Something was either going to, or was already happening. He and his mother learned early on that when Tanaka had one of these “chills”, it was never wrong, but at the same time, it could be caused by something a mile away and have nothing to do with him. In reality, all he knew was that something was going down.
He followed his mother to the kitchen where his dad was finishing up dinner. He was about to greet his son, until he noticed his wife’s look. Tanaka wasn’t as bothered as you’d think by the chill he just had. While these chills never meant anything good, they also didn’t always mean something bad, just something abnormal or big was going down. For instance, there could be a massive pileup of cars on the nearby highway, or it could just be a police raid on some nearby house.
After a few minutes, Tanaka took a deep breathe and decided to worry about it later. He hugged his dad and sat down to eat and just enjoyed being with his family.​

Marnie:
Marnie flinched a little as the man came towards her and a small and weak gust of wind enough for him to feel tried to expel from her without her knowledge or consent. To shaun it would feel like a pathetic attempt to push him away. Her wide eyes looked at the healing potion then her hand. She hadn't even realised she was hurt. She tried to say thankyou but the words didn't come out.
"I... shouldn't of believed her" Marnie flushed and inwardly cursed herself before registering what happened a few minutes prior. The witches including her mum were all retreating in a ramble rather chaotically. Marnie knew they were retreating to a meeting place to process what just went down.
"Is it true? You've taken all their powers? Because you wanted to punish us?" Although she hadn't been willing she suffered from the same guilt "if that's the case i should have another punishment." Her face was tear stained and she put the turkey at her feet before starting to slide off the cloak her hand getting stuck causing her to painc and try to get it off by tugging violently at it. She was hit by a tidal wave of shock and confusion she didn't understand any of it, "I don't have any power for you to take... I... I don't understand. Who are you... who" she tried to take a deep breathe then closed her eyes shaking her head "I need air or a smoke or a drink... I don't understand." It was a lot for her to process, lots of flying people and lots of anger. The turkey wandered around her feet every now and then stopping to look up at Marnie.

Shaun frowned at Marnie's words because it seemed more afraid than he expected. Although to be fair had he been in her place fear would all that would be on his mind. "You are mistaken I was only here to punish those in your coven who had been summoning demons in the world know full well that they can cause great evil in the world with the contracts they offer mortals. As for who I am..... Well I guess I at least you that much for having to see all that." Shaun kept his arms and hands in full view in front of his body to show he didn't mean her any harm. "I'm Shaun and I stop people from summoning demons into the world that bring harms to others. I've had an eye out for your coven for a while and finally had a way of stopping them without anyone having to die. And I already knew you didn't have any.... Magic." Just for a second he thought he felt power coming from Marnie but it faded just as quickly as it came. It was the strangest thing because that had never happened before so he had no way of understanding what just happened. He didn't know of any way one could mask their power from him so this was new territory for him. Shaking his head he focused back on Marnie. "Anyways I seemed to have added to what was a bad night so I'll just give you this," he said passing her a card with his name and number on it. "As my way of apologizing if there is ever anything you need help with or a favor just call me.... Just not before 6 in the morning please. These late nights can be killer even for a warlock. Anyways I need to go before they realize I have their magic with me." With his final words he quickly uttered a spell and was gone from the church and was laying in bed.

Marnie:
With a shaking hand she took the buisness card and turned it over in her hands and when she looked up Shaun had gone. She looked around and sighed gathering her things up and also pocketing the knife in her clutch bag reckoning she could sell it on. She picked up the small wrapped present and clutched it to her chest.
As she walked home she didn't notice the drunk man she walked into who yelled abuse at her as she knocked into the edge of a building scraping her knee on the brick slightly. She didn't notice the cab driver cat call her and she didn't register that hot on her heels was a turkey. Luckily it was so late that no one was around to notice.
Once at her apartment door she looked down at it wearily and shrugged like nothing else could surprise her, "One night won't hurt, come on Turk."
She emptied her purse out onto the table causing the knife, her phone and any bank cards or money to join the array of napkins before placing the business card on the kitchen counter along with the present.
The turkey had already fallen asleep by the coffee table and Marnie sat on the sofa before laying down. With no pillow and no blanket to cover herself she instantly fell asleep without realising the door was still on the catch.

She grinned dizzily at his concern for her assumption, punctuated by a severe sway when the car suddenly stopped. "Well, you smell like one." Whatever that meant. Without another word, the strange girl turned and pressed her cheek against the cool car window, watching the buildings whipping past. She noticed a few familiar landmarks, however, and stiffened up. "AH- here's fine." She looked over her shoulder at the visibly grumpy man and put her finger on the window to point. It really was a very generic brick building.

"Thanks for the ride Mr. Vampire Guy." She said once the car stopped, stepping out and immediately slipping onto her face. When she stood up she had snow all over her front and another bruise on her forehead. Elika scowled at the ice path and thought about punishing it with fire for making her trip, but she was too tired and also couldn't concentrate. It seemed as though Damien had been all but completely forgotten, because she soon disappeared into the old building. A light about three stories up flickered on after a moment, then flickered off.

After he left his parents house, he had taken a short look around the city. That chill he had felt was concerning. He didn't end up finding anything, but that just meant it wasn't something normal humans caused. Unfortunately, Tanaka had almost no talent for detecting left over magic, or for magic detection in general, the most he could do was detect magic as it was being cast, and only within a few hundred yards. On the plus side, he was able to accurately tell almost exactly what type of magic was being cast.

In the end, he returned back home with nothing on what happened. He hoped it wasn't anything dangerous. Thinking about all of this, he ate breakfast, and headed over to Marnie's apartment. He didn't see that ridiculous car, so he figured the Lich wasn't here yet. As he walked up to the door, he noticed it was stuck on the lock, and wasn't shut. "Really? Is she that absentminded? Or..." He felt a small chill run down his back as he stood there. "Okay, well, let's just hope she's okay at this point..." He knocked on the door a few times, and after getting no answer, he decided to just let himself in.
Immediately he saw the turkey, which surprised him a bit... After that, he saw Marnie on the couch, passed out. He shook his head and closed the door behind him, correctly this time. "Shar, can you wake her up please? I'm going to check around to see if it's safe..." "Mm. Okay." She nods and flits over to Marnie, only to poke her in the face to try and get her up. After a few seconds of this, Shar gets bored and decided to wake the sleeping witch up by making her nose just a tad toasty. Tanaka just happens to get back as Shar does this, and upon seeing this, sighs and resigns himself to hearing a scream early in the morning.

Marnie:
It was a rough nights sleep. She'd tossed and turned a bit. Her hair having toussled up alot.
She hadn't expected to wake up to what she thought was her nose on fire. She screamed and reached for the knife off the table bringing it up in defence. But as she blinked she noticed it was Shar. The turkey had got up and disgruntled at being woken hid under the coffee table.
"Wha?!"
She looked terrible. Her face was pale with baggy eyes and she had a few grazes on her legs still holding the knife she sat up and grumbled.
"How did you get in? I havent made... coffee...". If Tanaka had been able to sense magic he would be able to sense a disruption to how Marnies apartment had felt the day before.

"How? You locked the door before closing it... it never closed. You slept with an open door all night." Tanaka notices how terrible she looks and pushes back onto the couch. "Nope, lay back down. You obviously need sleep. Whatever happened last night obviously took a toll on you. I'll make the coffee. Shar, make sure she stays here." "Mm. Got it." Tanaka heads to the kitchen and decides to ask Avalyn if she knows anything. After sending a message and not getting an immediate response, he figured it was something involving other witches, which wasn't something she could easily tell him about. After the coffee was done, he went back and held out a cup of coffee to Marnie.

Marnie:
Marnie laid back down and rubbed her head a little before groaning, "Nothing happened I was here all night" the turkey borked and Marnie threw it a glare
"I swear. Turk must of walked in during the night."
Tanakas phone pinged and the message from Avalyn appeared, "Nothing concerning Marnie comes to mind... is she okay? x"
Marnie looked at the knife on the floor and kicked it under the table with her dangling foot before peering up at Tanaka holding the coffee. She laughed but it sounded strained and unlike her usual care free laugh. She swallowed and felt everything knotting in her the lying almost killing her as she reached for the coffee cup she whispered, "Thanks... but I swear to you, I was here. All night, must be all that research making me tired"
Her hand brushed against Tanakas hand setting of a reaction between the two of them. The result on Marnies end was one perfectly good coffee dropped on her carpet by a trembling hand.

Tanaka wasn't expecting to suddenly have vague images forced into his head. At least he managed to stay on his fee- "Gah... That was... Well, anyway, is my guess correct on the fact that you doing research all night was bull, and you actually almost got in some pretty big trouble? Though to be honest, the scrape on your knee gave that away awhile ago; just didn't expect THAT." He stands up, grabs another cup of coffee, and sits down on the couch next to her. He decides to set the new cup on the table instead of handing it to her. "So, wanna tell me what really happened? If not, I understand. From whatever it was that happened just than, I can tell it wasn't pleasant, emotionally, mentally, or physically..." He finally checks his phone to see Avalyn's reply. "Not sure, also something else happened, but you should come over to her apartment. Too much to explain in text. btw, before you ask, nothing happened in that vein of things." Tanaka sighs and puts his phone back in his pocket.
He turns back to Marnie as he waits for her answer.

Marnie:
If she could go any more pale she did. As soon as Tanaka sat down next to her she retreated into the corner and grabbed the coffee taking a couple of huge gulps before looking at him. Her mouth opened and closed a few times before she shook her head before laughing. Her laugh sounded a little unhinged but she shrugged,
"Honestly? I'm just a tad shocked..." she pushed her hair behind her ears. "Who in their right mind wants to summon a demon on christmas and sacrifice a turkey?"
As if Turk understood he borked again and started strutting around,
"Don't get comfortable. I can't keep you. Avalyn can come get you this evening or something." Marnie put her hand to her head and groaned, "Ava is going to be so busy... that was over half the coven. With no magic they're going to need her more than ever." Tanaka's phone buzzed,
"The fact you had to assure me makes me not quite believe you."
Marnie started to explain the events from the begining. This time leaving nothing out, although she stayed on the other end of the sofa it was clear by her face she was pained talking about it... once she finished she shrugged.
"I shouldn't be so surprised. She used to lock me in my room for days on end with all the books. I'm the biggest disappoint for a witch, eventually Avalyn would let me out and say I needed a break..."
"No one... no one would be able to unlock any power in those conditions Marnie you can't blame yourself..." Avalyn was stood in the door quietly and for once her icy face looked almost as pained as Marnies as she tried to come over for a hug "you dont need to worry for now your mum... she..."
Marnies eyes widened and she pressed herself further back into the sofa before near on screaming at Avalyn
"D-don't! Don't touch me!" She started shaking slightly and Avalyn recoiled her head turning to Tanaka and her eyes full of immense worry,
"Tanaka?"
Marnie got up and grabbed her coffee, "I-I'm going to shower... get dressed" her heart thudding she walked straight past Avalyn and slammed the door behind her before sliding onto the floor back pressed to the wood and taking her hands out of her pocket with trembling fingers and dialled Shauns number leaving a paniked voicemail,
" It's Marnie... from... anyway I'm sorry but I... I touched someone and I think... I think they saw things from last night... I think I made them see." She took a deep breath feeling confused and out of control, "I don't know what to do. So if you could get back to me..." she sighed and just hung up.

Avalyn stood, weary and unsure. "What..." her voice darkened as she focused on Tanaka with a risinf anger "I'd start explaining... sooner rather than later..." Avalyns hands twitched making it evident she distrusted him.

Tanaka sighed as Marnie panicked and Avalyn immediately wanted to accuse him. Well, he understood why... He explained what happened when he handed Marnie a cup of Coffee and their hands touched. Actually, his head was still a bit dizzy from it. He figured it was either because Marnie had no control over it, it was a new power, or something to do with his mind subconsciously having tried to keep it out, or all of the above. He hadn't even noticed Shar was in her combat form; wary of anything Avalyn might do.

Marnie & Avalyn:

As Avalyn listened to Tanaka speak she started to tense more, one eye kept sharply on Shar though who had transformed into her battle form. Avalyn didn't bat an eye lid though. The more Tanaka said the more her hands started to crackle with electricity as she debated wether to shock him.
However before saying anything she walked to the fridge and pulled out two bottles of water .
"Stand down Shar. I know he's too stupid to make this up." She chucked Tanaka the other bottle of water, "Drink. She unscrewed her own bottle and took a sip, her cool exterior returning but couldn't help slip him a coy smile.
"Before we go on. How are you feeling? Honestly?" She sat on the sofa and started rummaging through her handbag picking out a vial of clear liquid and reading the label before pouring it into the bottle of water and placing it rescrewed on the table.

Marnie watched the water go round and round the plug hole. She was still shaking when she stepped out the shower and didn't even look at the clothes she put on as she slid on a pair of tight jeans and pulled a blouse on over her head. Her hair was still dripping as she stepped back into the living room to see both Tanaka and Avalyn.
She felt drained, scared and confused but Avalyn motioned to a bottle of water on the table. Marnie walking around like she'd seen a ghost picked it up and took a sip. It took a few minutes but she gradually stopped shaking and her cheeks tinted rosy. It was clear to anyone who could see that whatever Avalyn had put in there without Marnie's knowledge was calming her nerves and eventually Marnie murmered, "I'm sorry. I don't quite know what came over me."

He looked at Shar when Avalyn finally spoke, surprised she had switched forms... Apparently Avalyn had been just a tad serious this time... Which normally he'd notice, detecting magic being readied was one of his strong points after all. "That mind link must have fried me more than I thought..." He mumbled to himself. Whether Avalyn heard this or not, he didn't care. Once she sat down and he had also taken a sip of water, he answered her question. "Honestly? Like a truck hit me, but going through the process of healing instantly, while the pain stays? Not quite accurate... The pain seems to be be fading quite quick, just not instantly. Hmmm, the equivalent of feeling the soreness from 5 workouts all at once I guess? And now I'm rambling a bit. Wow I'm still a bit fried..." He leans a bit towards Avalyn, as if he was dizzy, before righting himself and lightly holding his head. "Yup, just a bit fried still. Actually, is it getting worse? Kinda seems like it might be..." He notices Marnie walk in and manages to sit upright and look okay for a bit. After a few minutes though, he tried to stand up for some fresh air outside, only for his vision to go blurry and a huge headache to hit. When he came to, he had fallen onto Avalyn. "Crap... Sorry... I should probably head home and take a nap..." He tries to get up, manages it, and attempts to walk to the door. He manages to do this only by using the wall. "Yup, a nap sounds great. Gotta get home first though." He stops for a second, pain flashing across his face, before grabbing his coat.

Marnie & Avalyn:

Avalyn watched as Tanaka deteroiated in front of her. "Tanaka stay with me..." she tried to support him. "If it was a nasty memory then it's going to hurt..."
Marnie watched as Tanaka got up to go to the door and she glanced at Avalyn, "Did... Did I?"
He looked awful and she was sure he was going to collapse. She was overwhelmed with guilt the moment she saw the pain on his face and without thinking she pulled his hand towards her sending a shot of intense guilt through him before pulling away quickly.
"Avalyn! Shar? Shoot never mind!" Seeing Avalyn stand there like a fish out of water she grabbed him again making sure she only touched fabric her eyes trying to mee his.
"Tanaka?" She smiled as best she could at him "Hey, I can't let you leave..." she pulled him around and slung his arm over her shoulder any skin touchs would send determination through him but each time it would get weaker and weaker as Marnies powers began to retreat back slightly. "It's going to hurt. Im sorry. Avalyn stop acting like a lemon!"
Avalyn was rooting through her bag and pulled out another elixr. "This... this might help but it works slowly.... not instantly and I don't know if it will help with magic like this." She tried to pass it to Marnie who was slightly to preoccupied to take it, "Marnie you need to put him down. Touching him is going to make it worse."
Marnie gritted her teeth and snapped,
"Don't you think I know that!" The moment she dropped him on the sofa she backed up and flushed.
"Why wouldn't you help?" She turned on Avalyn and pushed her. "I can't. Touch. Him. And you just let me?!"
Avalyn opened her mouth, "I... I froze... it shouldn't of been that bad but...." she looked at Shar with a sideways glance, "it's possible that..." she shook her head "Marnie I dont know enough about this" but Marnie was seeing red and screamed, "Fix him!" She grabbed the elixir out of Avalyns hand viciously and sat next to Tanaka, accidently brushing his hair back but there would be no reaction at all this time so she kept her hand on his head now feeling the lack of magic flowing through her. With the other hand she passed the elixer to him, "Here, try this it may help with the pain." Marnie took a couple of deep breaths and waited. "He'll be fine right?"
Avalyn nodded, "Yes. He may need to sleep it off if the elixir is ineffective but you need to stay calm. Getting so worked up will only make you stronger... it seems you've drained yourself out." But Marnie had stopped listening and turned her attention back to the guy laying on the sofa.

Tanaka was pretty sure he was about to leave for home, only to find himself laying down on the couch with Marnie trying to hand him a bottle of something. And a vague sense of determination? He remembered Avalyn doing something with a similar bottle earlier, but thinking kind of hurt. Okay it hurt a lot. He decided napping would be awesome and ignored the random bottle in his hand. "Oh come on Marnie, I know you're flustered, and the not the brigh- haaah... nevermind, He obviously won't drink it himself. Tanaka, hey, stay awake for just a bit longer, okay?" She nudged him a bit to try and keep him awake. "uugh, let me sleep Avie..." Half asleep already, he let the nickname he had for her slip out. Normally, he'd only call her that if no one else was around. She threatened him on that. She knew Marnie would tease her to no end now, at least if she noticed. "Nope, first drink some of this, it should help with the pain, and if not, it will at least help you sleep." She opened the bottle and slowly had him drink it. After that, Tanaka finally fell asleep.
A few minutes later, Avalyn was explaining a theory she had as to why the aftereffects hit Tanaka so hard. "This is all just a guess. But basically, I believe his connection with Shar caused a kind of rebound affect. I think, maybe, when whatever it is he saw, was forced into his mind, it also tried to force itself into Shar's mind. Therein lies the problem. It wasn't able to get there, and instead bounced right back to Tanaka, meaning he got a double dose of the aftereffects, possibly even a bit more than double." She glanced at Shar, who still seemed like she was trying to process things, though she was at least able to kneel on the floor near Tanaka and look worried. Other than that, it seems she and Tanaka were connected in a much closer way than it looked at first glance. It seemed as though their mental states were able to affect each other. This meant that while not to the same degree, Shar was a bit lost right now, and it took a bit longer to process almost everything. Avalyn shook Shar a bit so she would notice her, before suggesting she revert to her small form and get some rest too. Shar looked slightly confused for a second, before nodding and reverting into her fairyesque form. She flitted onto the couch and laid down on Tanaka's chest before falling asleep. Avalyn decided to stay until Tanaka woke up. Marnie still wasn't quite calm enough to be left alone either.

Once again the sputtering of a antiquated vehical indicated the arrival of a certain equel antiquated skeleton, surprisingly memory had not failed him and Kel had remember what he was supposed to do today. Parking with the precision of a dog on rollaskates, good thing there wasn't anything else around. Leaving his vehical Kel had not only brought chonk cat but also a top hat and umbrella, along with some donuts that Kel had bought along the way as inevitably Kel got distracted by a donut shop. Gently picking up said rather thick cat in one arms as he made his way cheerfully to the apartment door knocking on it repeatedly, though if it was locked for some reason the door was now open as if it knew standing in the way of Kel would be its destruction. thusly any existing mood was ruined by the door slamming open, a floofy cat trotting it’s way in followed by a familiar skeletal figure. “HELLOOOO MY FRIENDS sorry about being late i found this marvellous little place that served these marvellous little dough circles.” Kel spoke cheerful announcing his presence regardless of the current mood. “Would anyone like to try one?”

Marnie ignored her comment about not being smart but she had to move her hand off of Tanakas head and place it on the top of his leg where his clothing sat as she started to feel a tingle with her irritation. As quickly as she felt it, it disappeared before causing any damage.
Marnie watched as Tanaka drank the elixir and heard him mumble to Ava.
"Avie?" She didn't sound angry or teasing, just confused. She shook her head and looked to Avalyn for an explaination.
Avalyn grimaced but was also flushed, "It was a long time ago," Avalyn moved over to the kitchen and leant agaisnt the counter glancing at the buisness card she'd left there.
"Did you call him? Shaun? Do you know if he'll help you?"
"Mm? I haven't heard back yet... you know him?"
"More like heard of him."
The next thing the girls knew Kel was bursting through the door and Marnie jumped a little.
"Hi! Oh! Kitty! Just make sure he doesnt eat Turk okay?" Marnie was trying to be enthusiastic but was biting her lip in agitation so Avalyn stepped in taking a couple of doughnuts off of him and trying to pass one to Marnie who politely declined.
Avalyn looked at the Lich, "You must be Kel, I'm Avalyn." She reached her hand out to shake his, "apologies for the mess. Tanaka should be fine in a little while,"
Marnie started fidgeting and looked up at Kel not moving from Tanaka and Shars side. "How are you? Excited to go hunting for your belongings?"

That morning for Shaun had been the greatest for him in ages. All his days of waiting and having to be patient had finally paid off. He was far more proud of himself than he had been in years. He was so excited that he actually woke up early to go see Luke and tell him everything and how he was able to takedown the witches. Luke was impressed but warned him to be careful since the vessel and him were are target now for those who might seek its power. Luke wasn't gonna take it off his hands but gave Shaun a magical bag that would hide it from those who can sense magic. And as a congratulations Luke made breakfast for the both of them. Shaun was half way through when he glanced at his phone that he forgot to take off silent mode and saw he had message left from an unknown number. The thing was he knew the number but didn't put it in his phone, it was Marnie. From the sound of it he was gonna have to go see what was going on.

"Sorry man seems something has happened that requires my attention," he said putting the vessel into the bag.

"Alright but remember I had that new shipment coming in later this week. If there is anything you wanna buy from me I can't hold it longer than a day before I have to let all my other buyer's in on it."

"Got you and I'll be there." With that final word he spoke the incantation that teleported himself outside Marnie's place. The moment he got there he could magic as if it was everywhere but it centered inside her home and was coming from three different people. He cautiously knocked on the door hoping to not regret him coming on person.

"Hello it's me Shaun. I jist got your message so I just headed over since I saw you called a while ago."

Marnie & Avalyn:

As the door knocked Marnie walked to it hesistantly. Avalyn had conjured up a slight electrical current and became on guard even when Marnie revealed Shaun.
Before he even got all the words out Marnie grabbed him by the hands and didn't let up even when she felt the relief feeding into him. She yanked him in pulling him to the bedroom and slightly out of breath she called over her shoulder in a non chalant way,
"Private matter, only be a second"
Avalyn stood and glared a little talking over Marnie, "No strange men in the..." the door shut behind Marnie "bedroom." She sighed and smiled awkwardly at the Lich, "Coffee?"

As the door slammed she pushed Shaun up against it her entire body shaking again. "Help me...." she was out of breath and a weariness came over her as she tried to claw back her emotions and failed dramatically. She finally let go of Shaun but didn't move back from him her eyes wild and searching and the magic around her was ebbing and waning showing inconsistant patterns.
