Well, that's still pretty impressive that you can do that. I usually get face claims done for me and I have a whole heap of them. If I get invested enough, I may get a commission of my character in whatever kind of uniform we decide to go for.

Outside of that though, I'm going to have to play the game again. I only did it for like a week and that was like 6 months back. So I may have to ask for a refresher on certain things. Like, these girls only have guns and equipment, right? They don't have powers like RWBY or MHA if I remember correctly?

The Students in Kivotos do have their Halos - which grant them a certain level of resistance to bullets and gives them a degree of superhuman strength. During actual game-play, some of the abilities and skills look very much like guns with magic - but the game does try really hard to stick towards 'the halos enhance the girl's guns and abilities' as opposed to 'the halos make the girls magical and capable of casting fireballs or smashing down buildings'.

The game really sticks to it's guns - so to speak.

Noted. I would assume since no one has brought up any specific themes for our squad, that no one has any ideas off the top of their head?

"Tactical Schoolgirls with some form of Cat Ears"?

Or were we talking about story themes?

I meant more outfit themed. I have a face claim in mind, but they have a gown/dress on, not a uniform lol. If we decide on something I might be able to get a commission of that instead.

November Witch November Witch

It's not strictly true that none of the Mystic/halo bearers have exceptional powers, but they tend to be more subtle.

Several students have superhuman strength beyond their peers,to the point of punching through concrete without injury or being able to manhandle motor vehicles.

One student had precognitive dreams and another is speculated to be able to read minds (but is probably untrue).

In gameplay, several are portrayed as being able to use elemental attacks like conjuring stars or shooting fire and ice,but we can assume those to not be literal.

Some can heal and shield others, but that generally comes from medicine or specialized equipment (assisted by the baseline durability and regeneration).

Generally speaking therefore,we can assume that most of the characters (including ours) will only have the gifts of extreme durability and strong regeneration (enough to withstand many bullets or an artillery shell risking unconsciousness but no lasting injury) and slightly improved strength (enough to easily handle manmade weapons up to miniguns,or overpower any trained adult).

On the topic of illustrations/faceclaims,we can probably be a bit loose and say any depictions are them out of uniform, but our squad does have a standard uniform worn on duty.

Sounds good then. Do you guys have anything in mind for possible characters yet?

I was thinking of playing a transfer student from Hyakkiyako (unless we're gonna be first years).

Proper, serious. Assigned to be the squad's electronic warfare specialist which is a role she's not ready for,but sticks to it out of a sense of duty.

Personal weapon not locked in yet,but I'm leaning towards dual Minebea PM-9s.

Because I'm not very familiar with the IP, I'll probably make my character a transfer too, to explain my ignorance in an IC way lol. Not sure on anything else though. I'll probably decide further once I see what you guys pick.

Yeah, I saw that yesterday. I assume it's just going to be us four?

A demolitions expert and an electronic warfare/reconnaissance expert. I like it so far.

Oh boy, it's nice to see everyone so energetic about things!

So anyway, I did have a version of a Character Sheet under draft. This version tried to stick closer to the in-game profiles from the game.
Of course it didn't include details such as halo design and whatnot, but we can always tweak it too.

Here's that draft version: and we can discuss if we should mesh the version in the CS thread and this somehow.

SRT Academy Application Form

Basic Information: ( A Synopsis on who your character is. In the Game, this section was as short as a sentance describing the student's school and club in a single sentance, followed by usually at least a paragraph of information on who they are. )

Date of Birth: ( Month, Day )
Hobbies: ( For Flavor, helps round out your character a little )

Unique Weapon: ( The NAME ONLY, of the firearm your student uses. )

Weapon Modeled After: ( Describes the actual real-world model of the weapon, as well as extreme detail onto how your student customized it from attachments to the color of parts if you so desire. )

Here is a draft version filled out for the character I'm working on and of course I can reformat it to whatever is decided on.

I do like that the information asked, even if someone hasn't played BA before, is still straightforward for the most part.

SRT Academy Application Form

Shiina

Character Name: Manato, Shiina ( 真叶, 志依那 )
District of Residence: Trinity General School
Character Image:
ShiinaRecruitDraft.jpg
Basic Info:

An SRT Recruit who grew up around the Trinity District.

Shiina enjoys the thrill of getting into gunfights with the local gangs. So much so that she became somewhat infamous to a point that she was at odds with the Justice Task Force. She was even unable to get along with the Vigilante Crew as she sometimes didn't even discriminate parties when getting herself tangled into those firefights. Because of her history at Trinity, She chose to apply to the Valkyrie Police Academy in order to straighten herself out. However, the allure of the SRT Academy's prestige ultimately drew her in. She's hoping to test her mettle against the worst Kivotos has to offer, but hopefully not letting her impulsiveness get the better of her this time.

Age: 15 Years Old
Date of Birth: March 8th
Hobbies: Easily getting passionate over things.

Unique Weapon:
Street Reaper
Weapon Classification: AR - Assault Rifle
Colt Monitor.png
Weapon Description: Shiina's Rifle that has faithfully seen her through many skirmishes with other students. It's name actually was inspired by students who've had the misfortune of facing it in battle.
Weapon Modeled After: Shiina's weapon is modeled after the Colt Monitor - a law enforcement variant of the venerable Browning Automatic Rifle.

I'll get on making a character when I can. Meaning in the next 2 or so days hopefully.

What kind of vehicles are around the city? I know there are tanks, so I would assume there are cars, motorcycles, helicopters, etc?

Basically, I'm asking how realistic it would be for my character to have been/currently be a helicopter pilot.

Oh yeah, there's been a lack of helicopter pilots in the game

Other than that, yeah! Your character can realistically be a helicopter pilot

I just noticed my character's name is vastly different than everyone else's. Should I change it to be more Asian sounding? Or is this okay?

I think it's fine,it's not much of a deal for a character to have a Western styled name.

Anyway,in the BA setting a lot of the students are trained to pilot vehicles like tanks,APCs,and helicopters,so it's not a universal skill but an entirely reasonable one to have.

Well I gave her a secondary role in the squad too. So I think being a pilot will be good. Even if we won't have our own helicopter lol

Rabbit Squad managed to hold onto their helicopter despite the disbandment,so we might end up in a similar situation.

In any case,we have an interesting team together,we can probably get started if we're not going to wait for a fifth (or more) participant.
