Songs for a gothy, ghost-seeing girl -Suggestions, please?

Obsess. Hunt. Manipulate. Repeat.
OK, guys, once again I'm coming to y'all for some musical help.

I'm playing a character named Kara who, as the title says, is a gothy young woman who happens to see ghosts.  She's in a gritty, grungy city (think Gotham, but without the Bats), and she's a fairly cynical kind of person who's more comfortable with the dead than with the living.  I need some music for her-- So far, the only thing I really have that fits is this:

(Rob Zombie's also on the list, but I've only heard a few of his songs, sooooo... Know any?)

Any other suggestions would be great!

Cruxshadows - Winter Born

Dry your eyes and quietly bear this pain with pride
For heaven shall remember the silent and the brave
And promise me they will never see, the fear within our eyes
(my eyes are closed)
We will give strength to those who still remain

So bury fear, for fate draws near
And hide the signs of pain
With noble acts, the bravest souls
Endure the heart's remains
Discard regret, that in this debt
A better world is made
That children of a newer day might remember
And avoid our fate

And in the fury of this darkest hour
We will be your light
You've asked me for my sacrifice
And I am Winterborn
Without denying, a faith is come
That I have never known
I hear the angels call my name
And I am Winterborn

Hold your head up high-for there is no greater love
Think of the faces of the people you defend
(you defend)
And promise me, they will never see the tears within our eyes
(my eyes are closed)
Although we are men, with mortal sins, angels never cry

So bury fear, for fate draws near
And hide the signs of pain
With noble acts, the bravest souls
Endure the heart's remains
Discard regret, that in this debt
A better world is made
That children of a newer day might remember
And avoid our fate

(prepare for battle)

And in the fury of this darkest hour
We will be your light
You've asked me for my sacrifice
And I am Winterborn
Without denying, a faith in God
That I have never known
I hear the angels call my name
And I am Winterborn

And in the fury of this darkest hour
I will be your light
A lifetime for this destiny
For I am Winterborn
And in this moment..I will not run
It is my place to stand
We few shall carry hope
Within our bloodied hands
(bloodied hands)

And in our dying
We're more alive, than we have ever been
I've lived for these few seconds
For I am Winter-born

And in the fury of this darkest hour
We will be the light
You've asked me for my sacrifice
And I am Winter born
Without denying, a faith in man
That I have never known
I hear the angels call my name
And I am Winterborn

Within this moment
I am for you, though better men have failed
I will give my life for love
For I am Winter-born

And in my dying
I'm more alive than I have ever been
I will make this sacrifice
For I am winterborn

Of Monsters and Men - King and Lionheart (I love this music video and think it may fit your character well)

Taking over this town, they should worry
But these problem aside, I think I taught you well
That we won't run, we won't run, we won't run

And in the winter night sky ships are sailing
Looking down on these bright blue city lights
And they won't wait, they won't wait, they won't wait
We're here to stay, we're here to stay, we're here to stay

Howling ghosts they reappear
In mountains that are stacked with fear
But you're a king and I'm a lionheart
A lionheart

His crown lit up the way as we moved slowly
Past the wondering eyes of the ones that were left behind
Though far away, though far away, though far away
We're still the same, we're still the same, we're still the same

Howling ghosts they reappear
In mountains that are stacked with fear
But you're a king and I'm a lionheart

And in the sea that's painted black
Creatures lurk below the deck
But you're a king and I'm a lionheart

And as the world comes to an end
I'll be here to hold your hand
Because you're my king and I'm your lionheart

A lionheart
A lionheart
A lionheart
A lionheart
A lionheart
A lionheart
A lionheart
A lionheart

Howling ghosts they reappear
In mountains that are stacked with fear
But you're a king and I'm a lionheart

And in the sea that's painted black
Creatures lurk below the deck
But you're a king and I'm a lionheart

A lionheart
A lionheart
A lionheart
A lionheart
A lionheart
A lionheart
A lionheart
A lionheart

A bit on the nose, theme wise, but Teagan and Sarah's "I was walking with a ghost" has a fun, grungy sound and the White Stripes cover dirties it up even more. If you want some old school grungy goodness with a bit of a gothic flavour check out Patti Smith <3

You've a lot of metal-y stuff here and a bit of grunge, if you wanted something a bit more ethereal and melodic to counterbalance it "the ghost who walks" by Karen Elson  has the most fantastic spooky keyboard.

I might post links here soon

Oh, and while we're on the jack White train, the dead weather are angry and spooky and they have a cool female singer.

Walking with a ghost:

Patti smith:

karen elson

dead weather (couldn't pick a song, just skip around a bit through this aldum and "sea of cowards", there's a lot of gold. Sea of cowards gets less bluesy. )

Odd, but I noticed you earlier because of your icon, and was going to drop you a line about it, but then never did get around to doing it, and now here you are  offering lovely music for me (that I can't listen to here in the market in public, since I don't have my earphones, but rest assured, I'll listen to it tomorrow).  Thank you!  I had been eyeballing that song, also, very oddly coincidentally enough... but had yet to listen to the White Stripes version of it (the T&S version was a bit too soft for me).

And excuse me for a moment while I have a nosebleed over Karen Elson-- she's a fixture in another RP soundtrack.

I think I love you.

:O  somebody LOVES me!

Hope you enjoy the music, wasn't sure what songs to post exactly, but there are a few artists that say ghost to me.

And yes, the icon is Bosie. Look at his terrible smirk.
