Realistic or Modern Shattered GLASS [A Modern Superhuman Story] (Always Open)

Aneta Wójcik
G.L.A.S.S. HQ

@ Eternal_Cookie

“Oh, it’s nothing special.” Aneta looked down, feigning an almost pouting expression. “All I can do is speak every language I come across” She smiled at Addie, thinking back on how the girl vanished and reappeared in a matter of moments.

Not nearly as wicked cool as yours” She beamed. She was a little jealous, but at the same time she loved being herself. There wasn’t anyone better, and no one would she rather be.

She thought about showing off the other side of her gifts, but Aneta was one to always hold her cards close to her chest. Besides, it wouldn’t do very well for her new budding romance if she were to mute Addie, or switch her English to only Japanese.

The thought was a bit tempting, but she resisted the desire.

Maybe later she’d be able to have a little fun on the job.

Addie Bishop
G.L.A.S.S.
Addie thought about that for a second wondering how it would be to speak another language, Addie herself could only speak English not knowing any other languages. Personally, Addie didn't think that teleporting was all that cool considering she had a problem with randomly teleporting in her youth and only up until recently she learned to control herself. Addie stood up straight not being that tall but taller than Aneta sitting down "Well, I'll see you later at out dinner date" Addie let out cheerfully she was looking forward to it now and she made sure to make a graceful exit carefully making sure not to trip on anything and she was in the clear until she tripped on the doorway of the cubicle stumbling down the hallway like a goof.

GLASS convoy back to HQ
Ecto could tolerate most of what Cinder was yelling. What really annoyed him was when she said something that made no sense at all, even from her perspective.

"If you don't want us to remove the mask, then why the hell did you give us the idea?!" he quipped back at her before saying to himself,
"It's not like we'd willingly want to see that ugly face of yours anyway.."

Alexis Morton "Pura" - Enroute to GLASS HQ

Alexis fumbled her way into the back of one of the convoy vehicles, staying concious for only a few seconds longer as he vision once again began to fade away. Soon enough, she was passed out entirely, sprawled out unconscious over the back seats of the truck. This definitely wasn't normal.

...by the time she woke up, they'd almost arrived at their destination. GLASS HQ. A towering skyscraper, the front of which was almost entirely glass - aside from the obvious pun, there'd been some political influence for such a glaring defense risk. It'd been felt, in light of their already weak public image, that being able to 'see' what was going on inside the building would be great for making people feel safer. A metaphor for transparency or whatever. Of course, all the more important stuff happened either in the surrounding, more combat-ready buildings, or in the fairly expansive underground section, so the point was mostly moot.

The vehicle came to stop, and Alexis, now a little more lucid, stepped out to see if they'd actually managed to capture the two ARK members.

Alexis Morton "Pura" - GLASS Warehouse 17

Alexis rested under Delilah's support for a few moments, just long enough for her legs to gain back their strength, and for her vision to pull back into focus. Now back in real world, she was able to fully process what was going on front of her.

Manuel had successfully pinned down Cinder, and a small explosion had appeared several feet above them. It looked like the battle was all but over... at least for today. Still, it didn't hurt to be safe - if anything went wrong, she didn't doubt they'd have another rage-induced slaughter on their hands.

"Go... go help the Lieutenant," she said to Delilah, pulling herself away from her. "I'll be... fine. Don't let her get free again..."

And with that, she began to stumble off back towards the vehicles they'd arrived in, moving slowly to conserve her energy.

Renae Hopson - ARK Hideaway, Locations Unknown

She sat there in confusion for a moment, before the link to Cinder was momentarily re-established. She didn't get much that was very reassuring - feelings of anger, of stubborn defiance, and finally the strong intention to pull the pin from a grenade. And then... nothing.

"Oh, shit..."

Cinder had hardly been the most profitable member of the organisation, being more likely to destroy things than worry about selling them. But she'd certainly given them a reputation, a fair warning about what they were really capable of if they didn't get their way. Without her... well, she'd have to find some psychopath to fill the role of destructive maniac.

She switched off the machine, and unplugged herself. She was going to some time to think about all this. Some time alone.

Squit No. 19272809192 "Jeremiah" - Annabel's House

He hung on tight for the rest of the journey, still using the girl's hair as a shelter to keep out of sight. The others were long gone now - most had died in the initial purge, and the rest had fallen off while she'd been travelling. He was the only one left. And it wasn't exactly out of choice.

Both of his legs had been singed off earlier, leaving two little stumps behind. The rest of his body had become tangled up in the hair when he'd dug into it for cover, and now he couldn't get free. At least... not on his own.

Once she'd gotten inside, the action of walking up the stairs was enough to dislodge him somewhat, the grasp of the hairs getting looser and looser. He began to squirm, taking what could have been his only opportunity to get free. And he did, eventually - but it wasn't at a great time.

He fell out of her hair, bounced off her shoulder, and landed on her bed. He was pretty close to the edge - using his arms, he frantically dragged himself along, trying to get out of sight as quickly as possible, not even looking up at the girl to see if she'd seen it or not. As such, he slipped off the edge of the bed, landing with a very tiny thud on the floor.

He looked up towards the door, the way to freedom. But... it was a long journey for a squit, especially with both of his legs missing and how thick the carpet fibres were - it could potentially take hours just to leave the room. But, with little other option, he began dragging himself along in that direction.

Annabell started to undress until she saw something out of the corner of her eyes fall off her bed and onto her floor. Immediately growling she quickly walked over and snatched the little bugger up in her left hand tightly. She smiled mischievously as she carried whatever it was to her desk. Grabing a cup she had in her room from an old drink she had a while ago she set the creature down and quickly set the giant glass cup over him to keep him there. Then she went back to her closet and finished changing in to her pajamas which consisted of a t-shirt and her under wear. Satisfied with her night clothing she pulled the ribbons out of her hair and sat back down at her desk to look at the little guy she had trapped. Her eyes widened a little when she realized, this wasn't a bug... I was a tiny fucking human! "What the hell are you?" Annabel immediately asked mostly her her self as she laid her head on the desk to get a better look at him through the glass of the cup

Lisa Fleming - GLASS HQ

The news about what'd happened at the Warehouse 17 finally reached Lisa. That was the one of the biggest flaws in this organization - information moved slowly, especially to people that were considered 'non-essential' to field operations. And she wasn't happy about it.

She was happy about capturing two ARK members - considering their usual methods, taking any of them alive was a commendable feat. But even so... she feared it wouldn't be as useful as some of the others were hoping. Her and the other Sub-commanders already knew what was in that delivery, so all that was really relevant for them to know was how ARK had learnt about it. And she doubted they'd be able to get that kind of information out of these two - ARK was notoriously good at compartmentalizing at this point.

But what she was least happy about was the unnecessary losses. The loss of equipment, the loss of personnel - C-rank or not, they were still valuable assets. Any of them that had died today could have been a future X-rank, or even a Sub-commander. Perhaps one of them could've found the solution to their problem in Hale.

She stood up from her desk, and started walking around the building. Movement helped her think. It always had. And right now, she was thinking that the rest of the management here just didn't have the guts to do what was necessary. The Head of Field Operations had known that the equipment they'd been moving at that warehouse was both valuable and rare - why was it that only a small team of V-ranks and C-ranks was assigned to such an obvious target? Public image, of course. Didn't want to scare people, they'd said. It'd probably be fine, they'd said. That'd turned out well, hadn't it?

They were all too afraid of the public to deal with this threat. Lisa, on the other hand, was definitely not. She knew that there was other forces for good around this city, forces that were a bit less... morally absolute. GLASS had never really approached any, seeing they didn't fit into the image they had for this city. To work with them would be to justify their existence. But perhaps... but perhaps they were what they really needed right now, just to give them an edge.

All she needed to do was get in contact. The others didn't need to know about this until she was sure she could convince them that it'd work in their favour.

Squit No. 19272809192 "Jeremiah" - Annabel's Room

He'd barely even been able to crawl a few inches across the room before the girl spotted him. The ground shook with every step she took towards him, and he froze, desperately trying to get lost in the carpet. it was no use, though - soon enough, her hand was descending down on him. He closed his eyes, and waited for the end to come.

...It didn't come, though. Rather than immediately being squashed like squits usually were, he instead found himself somewhere dark and warm. The world seemed to be moving around him, though, as if the girl was still walking around nearby. Of course, this didn't last long - the hand opened up, and he fell unceremoniously onto the table.

He tried to crawl away, his arms still pulling his body around, but he wasn't anywhere near fast enough. A huge glass cylinder surrounded him on all sides, killing any hope of escape. A single drop of whatever used to be in the glass dropped down from the sky, landing on him and instantly drenching him. He scratched a little at the glass, but it was no use - it was far, far too thick.

A massive face then filled its vision, the two eyes of the girl looking directly at him. He scurried back a little, but it didn't make much difference. Normally, it would have been difficult to make out that he had a humanoid form, but the glass magnified him a little. He propped himself up against the other side of the glass, balancing on the stumps that were once his legs. This could only end badly for him.

Daniel Reaving Daniel Reaving

[So, for those of you that don't already know, squits are the ants of this city - they're everywhere, they're attracted to food, and they reproduce super fast. Everyone knows that they exist (because they're usually a massive pest) but not quite everyone has noticed that they look like people yet, mainly because they're really, really small. You can essentially treat them like NPCs - write them in wherever you want, and kill them off whenever you want, and I'll write their perspectives out. See CS for more details.]

Lieutenant Manuel Sharpe, X-Rank

As the convoy made its way back to base, Manuel's adrenaline levels finally subsided, his thundering pulse replaced by a vague sick feeling in his gut. Of course, from experience he knew that intense physical labor or the kind of heavy impacts he had suffered from the flashbang or grenade shockwaves could cause feelings of nausea, but that did little to alleviate the unpleasant sensations. Nor was it helped by the screaming of Cinder, or the dry comments being yelled back from people in his squad. With a sigh, the lieutenant activated his earpiece.

"Soldiers, professionalism. We're here to keep Hale safe and act as a leading example, not to badmouth deranged teens. Remember to keep the high ground." With this simple, if rather unnecessary command over with, he turned towarsa Cinder still next to him, as he made sure to keep a strong grip on her arm out of safety concerns. If she had access to her smoke form, slipping out of this transport would barely be a challenge. So there he was. "Cinder." He finally spoke. "None of this is anything we have not heard from ARK personell such as yourself before, so save us both the time and exercise your right to remain silent, would you?"

Without waiting for a response, Manuel finally heard the convoy stop. He sighed and got to his feet, pulling the girl with him as he did. "Now come on." He told her, moving out of the van and back towards the headquarters. Towering glass and sealed gates... He shook his head. The press was already here, of course. Someone had to address their concerns as soon as possible, most likely him. Still, he could deal with that after taking the two ARK members to custody. With that interest in mind, he instead rounded the building and made his way towards one of the more covert back entrances. As he did, he activated his earpiece again, this time to HQ Control Center.

"This is Lieutenant Manuel Clarke, returning with strike team. Requesting immediate medical attention and transport of two ARK operatives. Over."

"As it turns out, I'm the telekinetic that bamboozled your escape attempt."

He stepped out and went towards the HQ. Hopefully he wouldn't have to talk to her anymore, but he didn't have high hopes. It didn't seem like traditional interrogation attempts would be effective either since she had no fear of death combined with a remarkable resistance to pain, considering that she continued to move and resist with fractured bones. He could only speculate what methods GLASS had access to in order to gain information from her when taking all of this into account.

He shivered and stumbled while walking, but not from the cold and not from his thoughts either. In fact, he had no idea what was happening. Sugar crashes weren't usually that bad for him. Had containing the grenade taken more out of him than he had expected? Was it too much without him realizing? He wouldn't know until after a medical checking. He in fact had damaged a lot of his insides while containing the sudden blast of the grenade.

She wouldn't be anymore relived when they arrived back at HQ.who knew ash could hurt so much. Or even peirce her skin. She had withstood being shot with small calilbut bullets before, about the same size as those ash ones, with nothing more than a bruise. Two sniper rounds managed a few years back, but they were pretty large. With a little support from a C rank, she followed, well, limped after Manuel and the prisoner. This really sucked, pain wasn't something she normally had to deal with.

She heard Manuel call for medical assistance, making her slightly smile. Pain killers were comming, with was awesome. Then she's go home, change clothes, and come back. Deucalion Deucalion CrimsonEclipse CrimsonEclipse Doctor Nope Doctor Nope WhipDing WhipDing

Aneta found herself disturbed from the monitor in front of her by the sound of over a dozen heavy footsteps sprinting down the hallway.

She poked her head over her desk, catching the sight of a few straggling members of what appeared to be a group of medics.

Did something exciting happen? She pondered. Only one way to find out. Cleaning off her desk and locking her computer, she shot off from her suffocating cubicle, waltzing into the hallway to find some adventure in this disturbingly dull office.

Mr.Chang's House

The Red Devil always leave a red calling card if anything major happened, he left a calling card last time on the crime scene of the Hale national bank and in the card, it's specially designed to only allow people that are as smart or smarter than him to be able to contact him. The card seems like a normal plastic card which is pure red but underneath it is what's interesting. With Alex's massive wealth, he could make these cards which have a security system in them which will make them combust in a fire if not solved correctly. The card needs to be perfectly split in half where then there is a code. It can only be inputted in the Tor browser which makes everyone basically anonymous. If someone did enter the website, it would direct them to a few questions to ensure they're not a bot or somebody that's not supposed to be there. The questions range from the obvious but deceiving to the quick-paced and hard. After that is finished then it will lead them to an anonymous white screen chatroom where they have 5 minutes to talk. Alex was now enjoying himself at the party but he couldn't stop to think about Annabel. The girl has parents, friends but does her friends and family know of her secret life? what will happen IF they knew of her secret life? Will she kill them? Will she disappear? These questions ran through his head... Why were the crazy ones always the youngest? Before suddenly a woman broke him out of his trance. "What's with the long face? Enjoy yourself!" she said. Alex could only laugh nervously.

GLASS Staff - GLASS HQ

The medical staff responded relatively quickly to the call, and within a few minutes, the room they'd entered into was full of people bustling around. They carried away those who were most heavily injured, with some heading outside to collect the few agents who had been physically unable to leave the vehicles they'd arrived in. The remaining medical staff tended to the wounds that were easy to patch up temporarily, just long enough to keep people sated while they dealt with the most critical.

One girl in particular walked up to Delilah, her hands glowing as she held them up front of her. "Do you mind if I...?" Without waiting for a response, she placed both her hands on the wound in Delilah's side, and a bright yellow energy encompassed it. She held them there for a second or two before pulling away - the wound was still there, but had now fully scabbed over, preventing any further bleeding.

Four heavily armoured (and armed) V-ranks eventually walked into the room. Two of them split off to go outside, presumably to collect Booster. The others walked over to Manuel and Cinder. They were obviously intending to haul her off themselves, but upon seeing who was holding her, they seemed to change their minds. Powers like his were far more effective than thick body armour ever would be.

"Uh, if you'd like to follow us, sir, we'll escort you over to the Cell Block."

Lisa Fleming - GLASS HQ > Hale National Bank

Lisa used the commotion to quietly slip out of the building without being questioned. She wasn't really supposed to leave while she was on duty... but it wasn't like she was going to be doing anything today, and with the prisoners being processed, she doubted anyone would notice her absence. And it was all for the good of the city, after all.

A short car journey later, and she'd arrived at the scene of a much less high-profile crime scene. Hale National Bank - the attack on the warehouse has been far, far worse, but this was the one that people would remember from today, of course. It was more obvious when it was a public place, and thanks to them being a little pre-occupied elsewhere, the GLASS response had been abysmally slow. They'd managed to capture a couple of grunts... but they still had no idea who'd orchestrated it all, other than that it likely wasn't ARK.

She wandered over to the investigation team, and quite quickly found the object she was looking for - a bright red plastic card, lumped in with the rest of the evidence. To anyone else, it would be a meaningless, albeit odd, object, but Lisa knew better. She'd noticed the pattern - of how crimes with this card were always less intense than they should of, of how a larger proportion of those crimes ended in an arrest, and how rumours of the appearance of a certain figure seemed to follow them.

This wasn't the first time she'd gotten her hands on one. The last time, though... it'd outsmarted her, bursting into flames before she could even input the code. This time, she was ready. She placed it on the floor, and pulled out a portable, high-powered laser, plugging it into the nearest power outlet. One swipe of her wrist, and the card was perfectly bisected into two, allowing her to safely extract the code. She perched herself on one the more intact chairs in the building, and began the process on her laptop.

A man dressed in all black is walking down a country lane. Suddenly, a large black car without any lights on comes round the corner and screeches to a halt. How did the car know he was there?

A rooster laid an egg on top of the barn roof. Which way did it roll?

An electric train is moving north at 100mph and a wind is blowing to the west at 10mph. Which way does the smoke blow?

"Good luck" the AI said before on the top right corner a 2 minute timer started.

Aneta couldn't believe her eyes, the shear volume of people crammed into the tiny room was incredible. She had stayed back most of the way there, choosing to maintain a semi concealed spot behind one of several doors leading to the overcrowded room. Her red-head peaked out from behind it. She thought about trying to stay hidden a bit better, but surely no one would notice her in all this commotion.

Holy shit, they're in really bad shape. Her brow furrowed in concern. Most of the returning members couldn't even walk, while those that could seemed to have been beaten into a wall by Thor's hammer. Whoever GLASS ran into, they certainly weren't a joke. And it looked like a few of the metahumans they encountered were brought back with them. How exciting!

Although, they didn't look like much. One just a small girl no taller than Aneta herself, albeit one with a sincerely malevolent glaze to her eyes. She seemed just about ready to rip the room apart with her teeth alone. The amount of arrogance coming off her in waves was thick enough to taste; combined with her extremely irritating voice the girl really irked Aneta.

She must really hate us.

The other one was a boy, a rather uninteresting one at that. Considering that he was out cold, he didn't seem like a very exceptionally powerful person, certainly not possessing as loud a presence as the punk looking girl. Shame though, he's cute in a bland kind of way. She unwillingly thought.

Lisa Fleming - Hale National Bank

She'd never gotten this far before, and as such was mildly surprised to see her screen turn entirely blank. At first, she thought she'd messed up - maybe it wiped the OS if anything went wrong? But thankfully, a voice began to emanate from it, and a few questions appeared on the screen. She smirked; this was exactly the kind of thing she was good at. She knew trick questions when she saw them.

She kicked it straight up, of course.

It's daytime - why else would it have its lights off?

Roosters don't lay eggs, so nothing rolls anywhere.

The timer halted when she typed her final answer, and she sat there, waiting for what came next. She really was in uncharted territory now.

Lisa's laptop screen would appear blank for a few moments before she is directed into a chatroom. This conversation would be happening on an anonymous website so there is no chance of her to even be able to track him down. He started off the conversation by typing "Greetings and salutations. Who do i owe the pleasure to talk too?"

Jacob "Dandy" Miller
Outside G.L.A.S.S. HQ
Jacob was standing outside the G.L.A.S.S. headquarters for some reason a lot of people were outside of it, Jacob wondering what was going on decided to ask one of the people outside. Immediately she was hit with a barrage of questions and people asking if she was an agent of G.L.A.S.S. Jacob slowly started stepping out of this situation not knowing how to handle it. All Jacob wanted was to join G.L.A.S.S. officially and become a member not be barraged with questions right of the bat, Jacob slowly walked around the building looking it over the high skyscraper of glass touched the sky. Jacob let out a sly smile since the front entrance was surrounded she would take a different approach she assumed there would be a door on the roof of the glass building. A scarlet spark flew out of her left shoe arcing to the ground before disappearing, soon her feet were lighting up with scarlet sparks Jacob crouched down into a sprinting position and in an instant, she was running up the side of the building. Right as she was about to reach the top she lost to much speed and gravity was about to pull her back down before she managed to get a grasp on the ledge of the building, Laughing she pulled herself up onto the building only to get knocked out by a security guard. Jacob awoke in a small concrete room and she was tied to a chair with her hands behind the back of it, instantly a surge of fear filled her body the last thing she remembered was running up the side of G.L.A.S.S. and now she was tied up in what looked to be an interrogation room.

Cinder started her performance, sniffling and sobbing as she was brought out of the van. "P-Please let me go. I-I'm not C-Cinder, y-you have the wrong person." She said, stuttering as se spoke due to fear and confusion. She kept sobbing and her body was trembling, causing her to tip a few times.

It was a decent performance. Of course none of the agents present at Warehouse 17 would believe her bullshit, but those who weren't present would have second thoughts on whether she is actually Cinder or not. What they see is a weirdly dressed teen who was crying, not a murderous ash monster.

However, as she kept trying to convince, she also began to break into fits of giggle and snorts as if she found something very funny. "I-I'm inno-*giggles* I-I'm -Pfft, of fuck I can't take this anymore." She said as her shoulders started to tremble. She suddenly started laughing, which was made all the more creepier by the distorted voice her mask makes.

"Oh fuck this and fuck that! I am motherfucking Cinder and you better remember that!" She suddenly shouted. Her pride and ego just couldn't stand pretending like a helpless an patheitc girl een if it meant getting out of this situation. That was too much for her to handle. She doesn't want to be like everyone else, cowering and conforming to not stand out. No, she'd take the stage and bask in the spotlight.

"An I fucking killed your friend, and your friend, and your husband, and your brother, and your grandma, and your momma, and your fuck buddy, and your coworker, and your neighbor, an I fucking loved it!" She shouted as she began to struggle once more. "And I'll fucking enjoy killing you lot as well!"

Hearing Cinder, Ecto was actually...entertained. This was her only opportunity to get what she wanted right now, and she fucked it up while accepting the fact that she fucked it up. It's not like it was ever going work since her mask distorted whatever her innocent persona was saying, but at least it was funny enough to distract him from the rising pain that resulted from the adrenaline wearing off.

Speaking of which, the adrenaline that kept most of the pain at bay was wearing off. He found himself suddenly feeling the burden of fractured ribs and bruised lungs, promptly causing pained groans. No way in hell was he ever stopping a grenade like that ever again, at least not with that method. He was assisted by medical personnel inside where he was treated.

Aneta Wójcik
G.L.A.S.S HQ

Aneta wasn't one to let emotions get the best of her, but when Cinder started going off on killing moms, husbands, and brothers, she didn't think twice about abandoning her hiding spot.

Marching past every medic, every V-rank, every single wounded GLASS member. Her sights solely set on Cinder. Brushing past the lieutenant holding Cinder in place, although not harshly enough to loosen his grip in the slightest, Aneta pointed a finger straight into the maniacal girl's chest.

"Listen here, bitch. You're done killing moms, done killing husbands, and you're done killing brothers. You're done with every pathetic, bloodthirsty thing your rotten heart could ever desire." She hammered her finger into Cinder's chest with every single word. As she finished, she took a step back, raising her arm up to Cinder, palm out. Placing her thumb in the center of her palm, eyes tightly shut, she inhaled and slowly pulled her arm back. Simultaneously, even though the movement was not required for her power to work, she willed herself to reach inside Cinder and steal her voice.

Her eyes shot open. "And now you're done talking".

G.L.A.S.S HQ

" Chirurgeon, report to Medical Bay 5 for immediate treatment of G.L.A.S.S Personnel."

Chirurgeon. Wet-Work. Operator. Doctor Frankenstein. Medic. All of the pseudonyms and nicknames he'd acquired over the years during his stay in G.L.A.S.S HQ. It didn't really matter. Chirurgeon was something that was familiar yet new for him. He'd briefly considered going for M.D or Panacea, the former being too immemorable and the latter being too pretentious for his tastes. There was only so much he could do with his talents.

The man known all G.L.A.S.S operatives as Chirurgeon stepped from his office and began deftly walking towards the medical bay in a fast pace as the announcer sounded for a medical emergency. Numerous employees parted in the hallway for him to walk through, as he turned left. Right. Down the hallway. Through the iron doors and into the blindingly white room, almost blinding him if it weren't for the modifications he made last week to his nervous system. His eyes adjusted immediately to the light levels as he spotted the two A.R.K operatives and G.L.A.S.S operatives needed for treatment. He rolled his eyes as he analysed them from 20 feet away, snapping on plastic gloves and putting on a safety mask, as his eyes twitched between each and everything one of them.

Heavily bruised male. Eyes dilated. Ribs most likely cracked along with exterior contusions. No damage to vital organs.

Female. Signs of bullet wounds among with shoulder along with minor 2nd to 3rd degree burns.

Commander. X-Rank. Most likely hit by a grenade blast. Benign to minor injuries.

And lastly, the deranged female. It would be difficult to do any major operations on her if she was active and she would most likely possess a risk to the entire medical bay if she escaped her bonds.

Chirurgeon signed as he walked towards her, shoving past all the medical personnel and pushing Anita aside, slightly disgusted at her unprofessional behavior as he gave a off-hand comment to her.

" This. Is a medical bay. Not a place to use your powers wantonly on a patient. Please don't do that next time without the permission of a medical personnel such as me or the dozens of other trained professionals in here..."

Chirurgeon analysed the girl closely. Teenage. Blood smelled of A-, although that was a hunch. He didn't trust the bio-modifications to his olfactory systems yet. She was still squirming in the grip of Lieutenant Sharpe. There was a slight pang of sympathy for the man holding the girl as Chirurgeon took out a syringe he kept in his pocket, loaded with a non-allergen containing sedative that he'd concocted by himself with permission from Command. It was able to be used on people of all ages and he'd no doubt believe it would work on the girl in front of him, unless she had some type of hyper-metabolism. Nevertheless, he looked at the highest ranking personnel at the moment holding Cinder down and spoke towards him in a polite tone.

" Permission to sedate the girl, sir? I don't want her to squirm during the medical analysis and you can't keep holding onto her forever. I'll take her off your hands if you wish so."

GLASS HQ
Lieutenant Manuel Clarke, X-Rank

With some slight surprise, Manuel turned towards the soldier that spoke up. This one, the telekinetic? It only took him a moment, then he realized just who he was talking to. "...Judai?" Manuel asked, partially in disbelief. Why hadn't he said anything? As first contact on the site and the source of the emergency signal, he should have made his whereabouts clear. As long as he was safe, the lieutenant supposed, but still. "...And you did not see it fit to answer to our attempts at contact why, exactly? Ah..." He shook his head, making a sigh. "All well that ends well, I suppose..." He really did not have the energy to argue with his own soldiers right now. Doctor Nope Doctor Nope

Cinder's initial trick when they made it outside prompted furrowed eyebrows and a slight concern from him, meanwhile. What exactly was she playing at? Feigning innocence for the cameras? With at least fifty separate witnesses among the GLASS operatives, not to mention available security cameras, he could not see her ploy for sympathy to work in any aspect. Then, one of the new recruits showed, clearly steaming. He was about to speak but was overvoiced by the C-Rank's angry tirade, after which wait did she just-

"Operative..!" The commander almost lashed out but managed to contain himself, taking a deep breath. Pausing for a moment, he had to deliberate to recall the girl's name exactly, as the recent influx of C-Ranks had greatly increased the number of faces to keep in mind. "...Wójcik, yes?" He decided to ask, feeling like he got it right, but the uncertainty in his voice was clear. "I understand the frustration and the gesture isn't unappreciated, but-" He paused, listening to Chirurgeon speak. "...Yes, precisely what the doctor said." He concluded, shaking his head. "We are not ARK, show some discipline." Matryoshka Gal. Matryoshka Gal.

With Chirurgeon now grabbing his attention, Manuel turned to him. "Thank you, doctor. Permission granted. Her power involves dissolving into a gaseous, smoke-like form. As such, I would recommend keeping her sedated until a more efficient method of power-negation is worked out, considering the high escape risk of such an ability, even within our cells. Can I trust you to administer the daily dosage?" Borkus Lazorus Borkus Lazorus

Though still holding on to Cinder until it was done, Manuel let go of the girl as soon as the sedative was applied and in effect. "Very well. Now, if you excuse me, I need to clean myself up and address the press gathering at our doorstep. Doctor. Privates." The lieutenant gave Chirurgeon and the rest of the GLASS Operatives present a few brief nods before turning around and leaving, limping slightly as he did. Something was with no doubt at the very least bruised there, but there were other soldiers with far more serious wounds present. He would survive.

Ay ay ay, what a day...

Hah, it really was satisfying to let loose like this. Just as she thought, she won't be able to put up that helpless and powerless facade for even just an hour. It's much too disgusting for her to do that, for her to pretend to be one of the lambs when she was in fact a wolf. The temptation to pounce on one of them would be too great for her to resist.

As Cinder went on in her maniacal and frankly nonsensical rant, one of the people in the audience suddenly walked up to her. The woman gave her own angry speech before proceeding to rob Cinder of her voice. Oh no this bitch did not! How dare she interrupt her majestic speech?! No, nuh uh, Cinder won't just stand by as she is being insulted like this.

If one could see beneath her mask, Cinder's mouth was moving at a fast and fierce pace. And if one could read her lips, they'd gasp at the sheer rudeness and cruelty of the words she was saying. Cinder saw the woman get scolded by the doctor and get a half-asses reprimand from the man who captured her. What would you expect from a man with no skills and was also a big cheater?

The doctor was about to inject Cinder with a sedative and Cinder started to struggle once more. Cinder was hoping that she'd somehow be able to, by some miracle, accidentally make the doctor inject the man holding her by mistake. No such luck though as she slowly felt her consciousness fading. 'Fuck all of you.' were the last thought in her mind as the sedative took effect on her.
