About me? You can call me Neon. I'm a 21 year old woman who likes cute romance themed plots, and this thread was created to find a few partners for a few plots I'd like to write about. It's mixing classic fairytales into a sci-fi/futuristic setting. Simple enough right?

<ul><li style="text-align:center;">

1I will not write smut, or borderline smut, or write with anyone who writes smut/borderline smut, including time-skipping/fading to black.

</li>

<li style="text-align:center;">

Dark themes are a no go for me , although I am talking about extremely dark subjects such as rape pedophilia extreme gore/torture, abuse, things that I normally wouldn't even mention. I've just seen some stuff, and am naturally cautious. On that note, PG-13 is the rating for this thread, so if it wouldn't be in a movie with that rating, you can generally consider it a no go.

</li>

<li style="text-align:center;">

 Regarding the above, murder and such are okay.

</li>

<li style="text-align:center;">

 I am 21 so I'd like my partners to be 18+.

</li>

<li style="text-align:center;">

 Be able to post at least a few times a week, and be honest; if you've lost interest, that's cool, just tell me before you quit.

</li>

<li style="text-align:center;">

If you read this, paste ✎  in your reply, and understand that I'm assuming with that response you fit the requirements.

<ul><li style="text-align:center;">

I am looking solely for MxF/FxM/Hetero pairings, and to write female characters. I will throw in a couple of side characters if it bothers you that much though.

</li>

<li style="text-align:center;">

Anthros, the kind with fur and a tail I will not use in a romance themed plot. Alien-esque creatures, elves, robots, etc, however are fine.

</li>

<li style="text-align:center;">

I like cheesey plots and moments, but things like love at first sight and such have to work with the particular plot we're writing about.

</li>

<li style="text-align:center;">

Elements of sci-fi, adventure, action, are all welcome components in one of my RPs.

Based off of Cendrillon (vocaloid). 'Cinderella', is an ordinary woman struggling to make a living in a dead end job. Her flat is small and not the best, but it did the job, and was as cheap as you can get. Her in-laws had refused to let her move into their house, despite her working at their mansion as a cleaner. She worked a simple office job during the day, and cleaned for most of the evening to make ends meet. Cinders was known for being hard-working, and grateful for what she had, and for also being skilled at the jobs she did, even if they were minimum wage every-day jobs. But then, the economy changed, and it was even harder than before to make ends meet. One particularly manipulative landlord insisted that he needed more money from the town if he was ever to improve it, but in reality just wanted as much coin as he could have. But then, there was the mayor's son, who as his father was getting older, was planning to take his father's place and had made a point of saying he would stamp out such activity. The landlord wanted him dead; and who better to take up the role other than a poor yet skilled woman? Promised wealth, and even convinced that the Mayor and his family was just as bad as the rest of the money leeching wealthy citizens of the town, 'Cinderella' was on the scene. (this will be moved to a futuristic setting).

'Beauty' being an average citizen of the future, and 'Beast' really being a very powerful rich man who a poor woman lashed out at because of the way the poor are mistreated in the future. The richest get the best medication, and generally live up to be up to two hundred years old, their ageing slowed and stopped in their mid-twenties, whereas the middle/working class live to a comfortable life of around one hundred years. The poor live for as long as they can, and that is that. The 'Beast', is an average rich man, who hasn't had to work for much, although he takes great pride in his heritage. His job is simple, to talk to clients who needed medication and life prolonging care. He couldn't help having to turn down a poor lady who offered him a 'precious' medicine in a syringe, in exchange for one round of treatment, but the way he looked down on her and his attitude cost him dearly. She simply took out another syringe and attacked him, and every night since, he morphed into an animal, a beast. And the beast locked himself away, believing there was no 'cure' to his disease. The poor woman had rambled on about 'true love' being the only savior for him, but he had dismissed it. He had been attacked by a mad woman with a syringe; 'true love' curing a disease was scientifically impossible, everyone knew that. (This plot can be reverted back to the original medieval setting, so if you want something like that don't be afraid to ask, although I am looking for sci-fi here.)

The Merfolk, as humans called them, were a result of an unexplained evolution of the human form. Was it the product of an experiment, or a long hidden race? Nobody knew. But they were there, and now that the sea in some parts of the world was nearly uninhabitable, many chose to roam the land of the earth as needed. The humans had shelter, medicine, and wondrous technology, all the more reasons to move onto land, but a few groups of merfolk lived in untouched areas of the world, often those which were where the rich had bought up what was left of the earths former tropical paradises of the earth, or the less pleasant places only the poor claimed as home. If you haven't guessed, the mer-folk can transform to have human legs as they please, but they can only do so for so long before needing intensive re-hydration. Even then, another issue was that the earth was running out of space; now you could see small, bubble-like floating domes on the sea, portable homes for the humans. One of these merfolk, a mermaid, falls in love with a human prince she saved in a chance encounter, a scientist offers her a deal; she would collect deep sea samples of sea-life, and in ex-change, he gave her medication that would allow her to walk on land for days without needing to re-hydrate. If she could get the prince to love her, and successfully steal some of his wealth, he would give her an unlimited supply of that medication, if she couldn't, she was to return to the sea and move far away from the ocean that surrounded this plot of land. It was simple; she would potentially have the chance to go wherever she pleased, loved whoever she pleased, if only she could take a decent portion of the prince's wealth. It seemed deceptively simple; she could use the fact she had saved him as a way to get close to him, and the rest would follow. But there was one problem; how was the prince to fall in love with her, if she barely knew the ways of humans? Better yet, who was that fine lady the prince seemed to be so fond of? It quickly sunk in that it wasn't always that easy to be the star in the castle.(This doesn't have to be tragedy, but I think it has more of a story to it, personally.)

Quick question for you. I'm kind of interested in Thumbelina, but a little different from the actual fairy tale. You see, I would find it interesting, if perhaps the girl in this story was human sized, and the guy is Thumbelina sized. Just a thought to throw out there, but if you're not interested, I understand.

Eh, count me out. Although tbh when I was writing that the first thing that came to mind was something antman esque. And I'm thinking more along the lines of the warner bros movie, say this tiny human was made completely by accident, as a test tube baby, but eventually becomes vital to helping scientists understand parts of the world that they can't see. Still trying to figure out where to go with that one lol...

You seem about as desperate as I am to get a thread response! Let me help you out: I'd like to do Sci-Fi Rapunzel if you're willing to plot with me!

I advise you skim over the rules- I hate to say it, but I'm picky. And yeah, haven't had a RP in a while, but thankfully I also have gaming as my main hobby, so no loss there ( :) )

To expand on the initial ideas I had for Rapunzel there was;

-The hair was being grown for science; it's unnaturally strong, but because it grows so quickly it can be very draining of energy.

-Robots, because well robots. Not sure how I'd fit in the hair element.

-Villains; definitely not the one dimensional 'I'm evil because I'm evil' sort of villains, say maybe it's a good natured scientist that thinks the extra hair being grown would be extremely useful in the real world, but in the end becomes greedy, or is genuinely perhaps overprotective to an extreme.

I'll put that up in the main post in spoilers at some point. I should probably add some more plots as well; lots of opportunities when it comes to old-school fairy-tales. And if anyone wants to ask which particular version of each fairy tale I reference, feel free to ask, btw.

I have read the rules, I am reading on a Windows phone mobile browser and the copy paste doesn't appear to work with that symbol. It just comes up with a blank space...? Or so evidenced by my attempts. Either way, I agree to your terms and conditions. I feel I can meet that which is expected of me as well.

Also the Rapunzel idea sounds like a solid and workable foundation. Care to take this to PM so we might discuss further?

I think you misunderstood; I do not write with those who write smut/crude stuff, or extremely dark subjects/themes (rape/abuse/etc). I should have clarified that in my OP though, so my bad. Feel free to shoot me a message and we can chat there though, and feel free to re-use the rapunzel idea.
