Love.
LOO-OOVE.
I wanna see L-O-V-E, hon-ey.

Twelve men find themselves rudely awakened in an idyllic, picture-perfect replica of a 60's Americana town. A booming voice kindly invites them to participate in a dating gameshow.

The rules are simple: participate in the game of love or face the ultimate, ahem, "heartbreak." As the contestants navigate the town's charm, it becomes abundantly clear that this is no ordinary dating show. Cameras lurk behind every picket fence, speakers are hidden in the flower beds, and insidious mechanics are scattered like confetti throughout the town.

a927d261-1868-4dee-a58a-0a62b7ba0baf_609x484.jpgThe Producer, a voyeuristic entity with a penchant for drama, orchestrates the contestants' every move. Need mood lighting for that first date? The Producer's got it covered. Romantic music to set the ambiance? Consider it done. Life or death scenarios that interrupt an otherwise lovely dinner? Well, The Producer has a twisted sense of humor.

As the contestants wade through the dating pool, they soon discover that The Producer's definition of love is as unconventional as a polka-dotted zebra. From a charming stroll in the park to a spontaneous dance-off that could literally be their last, the men quickly realize that the line between romance and survival is blurrier than a bad TV signal from the '60s.

this is so cool !! 😼

Aw, yay! The contestants should each choose the face of a playing card to represent them in the game:

Ace
Two
Three
Four
Five
Six
Seven
Eight
Nine
Ten
Jack
King

I'd be really happy if the contestant's identities reflect their card in some way, for exmple, Ace could be a detective inspired by the phrase, 'ace detective' or Four could be a musician inspired by the four beats of music.

Thanks, this is really helpful.

edit: I'm going with Jack of spades. I appreciate the time you put into this. Is there a character OC page?

BadOmen BadOmen OP hasn't put any links up yet, but I think they might be up at some point since we have a few people interested

By the way, the character sheet isn't a traditional one. The roleplay will be written in third person - but the character sheet should be filled out with dialogue. Your character's backstory should be revealed via IC development.

ufotofu ufotofu Should we let you know about it first, or is everyone blind to every character's backstory but their own?

Hey, this looks very interesting! I'd love to join, but I've been very busy lately so I wanted to check what the posting requirements are?

OK cool! Everyone is welcome, two paragraphs is ideal - I usually write around four.

Cool cool! ^^ That sounds perfect with me, is there a schedule or is this rp lax? Like one post every week, etc.
