Sorry for the late responses. I had a dinner last night for work. Probably the same again tomorrow night. We have German guests. I'm going to get as many posts in tonight that I can.

That said, let's what needs attention here...

First, Epiphany , you don't need to be a Marine book OCC.

Second, Psychie , missions with the Silverback needed, it will be dropped in with the team.

Third:

I would suggest for your MOS packages to go with the Storm Commando Basic Training and the Science Officer ones. The Technical Officer comes with one Pilot skill of choice, and the Storm Commando Basic Training gives you two more and upgrades your HtH to Commando for the extra bonuses. Then, you can use your OCC Related and Other skills to get the MECT for at least one of the flying Veritechs and a Cyclone if you want. Hell, you can even pick up Hover Tank training as one of your MECT skills, since you'll have the Pilot Ground Veritech skill.

WlfSamurai Is the older Valkyrie a option to take in this game, or just the Alpha and Beta?

Yes! The original Valkyries are an option for sure.

Fourth:

WlfSamurai With Epiphany joining us, will she replace one of the npcs or are we going to have a seven man squad? If you want, we can have our EW specialist fly as a passenger with one of the Betas to keep us at three Alphas and three Betas.

I was leaning in the direction of putting Dorsky in one of the Betas as passenger with one of you.

Awesome. It looks like we have our PC's in Alpha/Beta pairs, and our two flying NPCs in a third Alpha/Beta pairing or in a pair of Valkyries. If Soviet Panda joins in, we'll have to juggle around our mecha assignments a bit.

It's been a couple of years since Tales of the RDF (I think literally two years almost to the day) but Soviet Panda was in a long-running (from 2015 to 2017) Robotech game Sherwood ran. Along with most of your players. Man, that was a great game. If you ever get nostalgic, Sherwood, putting the band back together again would be pretty easy to do.

Damn, old memories... now you got me digging through the archives once more, searching for those amazing posts of others that showed me all the great stuff you can do with just a couple of words...

On a side note: Having a passenger in my Beta would be kind of neat - as someone who does not prefer to fly, having a second opinion once in a while could be helpful. Also: If I ever have to get out as a medic, there's still someone on board of the Beta.

It’s only in the Robotech 2e RPG book, as far as I know. Do you have that one?

Besides, there are 8 mecha, but only six pilots, so that basically demands a question if we're not informed.

Sorry! Wasn't clear! That's what I get for rushing a post in this morning. Two are extra mechs. That said, whomever joins and however the team falls in together, we're just going to ret-con that he mentioned them as well for now.

The fourth is a “blue” VF/A-6H “Command Alpha”. The betas are all standard VF/B-9’s.

Am I taking on the Command Alpha then? Alyxis is quite capable of flying it so I wasn't sure if that was supposed to be a Blue Beta or not.

You could go with an Alpha, and have our NPCs in the Betas on our tails. It would work for me.
