"Argh- two thirty get the heck offa' me!?" A guard squirmed as a pale white skinned lizard like being clung to his shoulders and suits helmet, trying to grab her off with no success by the hands. Her long red tongue poking and flickering out like a snake as she looked around innocent and wide eyed, pupils slit and retracting like a predator seeking its prey, tail trailing behind a little with most clinging around the males body tightly as he stumbled forwards towards the cafeteria zone down the hall from their rooms.

With a sigh he began to slump forwards, another guard jeering and chuckling at the man, a smirk over his scarred and cracked lips. "Ay' Brian! I think she likes ya~" he mocked, the officer currently captured gave a glare from his visor, muttering something needless to say not child friendly under his breath as he once again tried to pull her off, as one of the more sensitive experiments being excessively violent was a strict no go, and the scientists even encouraged her clingy behaviour towards others in a study orientated manner, trying to explain the behaviour, wether mind based something to do with genetic instincts, after all she was well- different, from the other experiments in more ways than one, most prominently being that to almost everyones lack of knowledge, she wasn't a part of this program at all. Not that it mattered, she blended with the other teens perfectly and her temperament, although carefully monitored seemed rather timid and anti hostile.

Once arrived she looked up and around at the large metal walled chamber with a few blinks from the powerful artificial lights, now sitting on sergeant Brian's shoulders before he gave a final shove getting her off, dusting his hands as he locked the door firmly behind and very briskly bolted for it before she snapped out of her daze.

Aileel turned around slowly, quickly standing and rushing to the window of the heavy duty door, at first seeming desperate before grumpy at her 'friends' escape, tongue lulling out slightly as usual, she could fit it all in her jaw easily, but she seemed to prefer it this way. Waiting like a lost puppy for the door to open once again, long tail stretched out as her fluffy feather like eyebrows furrowed in annoyance, making a short yet loud 'yeep' noise at the door, as though hoping it would open again with enough persistence on her command.

".… It-…. hurts-" The stuttered breaths came out of the heaving chest entrapped within the large metal chains and restraints, flaming red hair a stark contrast to the dull greys and glistening silvers. "Good. That means it's working then, doesn't it?~" A voice called out from the darker corner of the large heavily fortified room, words sharp and dripping with held in chuckles and smugness, full of poison dribbling out within.

A loud scream echoed through the halls at the next strike, raspy and pained it barely reached out into the hallways, but nether the less the few guards newer to the area tensed, not daring to look behind and into the situation.

"I think that's enough for today~ anymore and we'll begin to worry people now won't we? We'll have to work on making you more…. responsive and quiet in these new tests. It'll be a pain if you're other little monstrosities think we're harming you too much, after all, this is for them as well, hopefully thanks to you we'll perfect it…. with time, lots and lots of time." The words trickled out with a chuckle afterwards.

Everything felt blank, numb. The world seemed black around her blurred vision, muscles sore and aching from struggling, heart rate still beating what felt like a thousand times a second, it was one of the few times she remembered what pain was like, what feeling anything could be like, and no matter how much it cut deep into her nerves- it never hurt as much as back then, nothing could.

panting she felt the chains slowly be released, she was dizzy and her head spun, her vision continued to fail her as she was finally unchained, the guards letting her limp body drop to the cold, hard ground with a thud. "Should we give her a hand?…." "Naah. Don't bother, she can heal anything with time, it ain't like she's one of us, she's the worst of the lot- at least the others ar-" her hearing faded at their words, loosing consciousness the next moment. All she could hear was the sound of footsteps leaving, knowing they'd be back soon to let her out, restrained in enough pieces to make anyone feel tired just looking at the weight.

#00023 - Jay
Cosmos Cosmos

Staring up at the ceiling from his bed, Jay was already deciding that today would be a bad day, and he'd much like to stay where he was, thank you. Already he should probably be up, but he'd been awake all night with his legs aching and his back sending sharp pains through him. But, staring at the ceiling with his one good eye was getting boring, and he was starting to get restless in the way he'd always been. He'd always wondered if it had anything to do with his powers, but he always shrugged it off as his mere personality. Slowly, biting his lip, he shifted onto his feet, gasping softly. No, it definitely wasn't a good day, and he definitely wouldn't be running to the cafeteria as he usually would.

Pain thundered through his legs as he took careful steps, straight up his spine. He'd much rather stay in bed, but his issues with his blood sugar, and his powers draining that from him, meant he knew he had to get food. Which meant leaving for the cafeteria. He had no idea if Aidyn was even in their room, he didn't have the energy to look toward the other bed to check on his roommate, instead staggering for the door.

He ignored the guards remark about how terrible Jay looked, instead staying silent as he moved off toward the cafeteria. He forced himself to stand straighter as he was led toward the door, wondering why the guard even followed him. Jay wasn't dangerous, certainly not in this state. Maybe it was in case he fell over. Or not. He let the man open the door, moving slowly inside, blinking as he noticed Alieel right by the door. He hid the pain on his face immediately, giving a warm smile to her, "Good morning, Alieel." He hummed to her, glancing around. No one else was here yet, but he knew they would be soon.

Wacław Nowak #00024

Waclaw awakens from his deep slumber, his first movements were running his hands over his helmeted head, carefully checking the tube and plate for any signs of frost. As he searched, his ears picked up the wheezing sound he is so famous for, he couldn't do anything to stop it so Waclaw just had to live with it but the wish for it to be gone is second to only his wish for freedom.

Waclaw's self inspection continued to his arms and shoulders, he noted that the canisters on his shoulders had built up some outer frost but it was small alongside it being obvious the frost had not come from within the canisters. Sadly, this was were Waclaw's self inspection stopped as the scientists forbade him from inspecting his torso and leg segments for what reason he isn't entirely certain.

His legs swung from the bed, making contact with the ground in a noiseless elegance and his upper body lifted its' 100kg weight from the bed. He began his morning by tilting his head left, right, left right, he repeated this action and then began circling his arms for 10 seconds. His usual torso rotation was met a strong sting of pain, he doesn't let out a grunt. He started his squats painless, a small blessing as his legs usually were the most brutal when it came to the pain caused by the suit. After the last squat he didn't raise his body up, instead Waclaw tilted it forward as he entered into a push up stance, the push ups were slow at first but picked up speed after the 10th, unfortunately while Waclaw was on his 37th push up, his stomach began to growl in pain, his body recoiled itself into a fetal position on the floor as the gastric acids were chipping away at him. His saving grace was when his visor received a message.
"Antacids released, neutralizing acid"
Waclaw wasn't religious but if there was a God, he wanted to thank him for making the scientists install a mechanism to help relieve of him of one pain, at least briefly.
"Message, message!"
The suit's visor blinked the green message, Waclaw found it taunting as he knew the scientist know he can't distinguish the color green, the message informed Waclaw that he had a new stealth course to run today at 1900 hours.
Waclaw was still on the ground as he read the message, his arms moved with haste as he planted his palms on the ground and shifted his feet to touch the ground in an upright manner, his soles in the air. His body rolled forward, his feet hit the floor and extended his body upright, some frost fell from the canisters on his shoulders.
His footstep were silent, as they gracefully traveled to the room's door but before the door could slide open, Waclaw grabbed it, keeping it from opening, the sounds these things make were so loud they could wake up comatose patients. Nowak slowly began nudging his hands back as the door opened steadily and then went through the door frame, his hands were still pushing on it as he passed through, carefully releasing his push on the door it began to slide back into its' original closed position. His lungs let out a very strong wheeze, rattling Waclaw from the inside.
"Rest some more."
Nowak started travelling toward the cafeteria, his shoulders held upright and his wheezing sound echoed through the halls.

Archie Moll
Cafeteria
Interacting with: Worthlessplebian Worthlessplebian

"That's enough for the day, Archie," the scientist said, looking up from his handwritten notes with a light smile.

The helmeted boy on the other end of the room offered a shallow nod. Slowly, the small, apple-sized lattice formations around him drifted from the air around him to the table in the center of the room. They differed in materiality; one a glistening white, another a deep bronze, several glossy and saturated, gleaming like freshly-waxed, candy-colored cars, and one refracting light as if it were made of pure diamond, the individual struts in the near-spherical construction splitting the observation room's harsh white light into briefly-lived colors of the rainbow. "Okay, Mister Takamura," he said once the last of the lattices had landed lightly upon the brushed metal surface. He remained where he was, arms dangling lightly, aimlessly, at his sides.

The researcher's smile widened. "Thank you Archie," he said, setting his notes upon the table as well. "How are you feeling?"

"Okay," the boy said shyly, though without hesitation. It was little other than a statement of fact, yet its disclosure still felt sensitive, as if the child had realized part-way through that he was in fact betraying some grand secret.

There was a pause. Perhaps the researcher expected more. Perhaps he merely wished to give the boy's feelings their space. "Okay is good," he eventually replied, pulling the various interlaced constructions closer to him as he briefly took stock of their appearances. Each was only afforded a few seconds, but the last one--the diamond lattice--was granted several more than the others. This, it seemed, was a particularly fresh success; time would tell whether the facility would truly be able to get anything out of it.

The man eventually set his attention aside, clasping his hands together atop the table as his eyes turned back to Archie, smile redoubled. "You've been very helpful recently. Did you know that?"

The boy shook his head, yet said nothing.

"Well," continued the man, moving to stand, "I'm saying that because we have something for you as a result of that." The changes in the boy's demeanor were nigh-imperceptible due to his obscured features, yet Takamura could tell from the slight tensing of the boy's form that excitement, restrained and wordless though it may have been, had found him. The lattice objects generated over the course of the day's tests were gathered by the man and walked over to a deep transfer-tray in the testing chamber wall, deposited one by one and carefully, as if the slightest jostle would break them all. "Take these over to integrity testing," he said to the intercom in the wall, unseen figures behind the long pane of mirrored glass taking unknown actions once the tray had receded, becoming flush with the white wall below. Even Archie, sheltered as he was, knew of the concept of the two-way mirror; yet, even seeing one before him, day after day, hour after hour, it was little more than an abstract to him, the figures beyond bearing no greater importance to him than the faceless passerby in a public square.

With a soft click, the tray reversed, pulling out of the wall once more without the doctor's prompting. Smiling, he turned, pulling up a flat, plastic object, the telltale silhouette of a CD case. "Music," Archie exclaimed softly, his nigh-silent, single word carrying with it all of the excitement of a hyperactive child, yet entirely without the matching volume.

"Yes, music," said Takamura, turning the case over in his hands several times, before sliding the item across the table to Archie's waiting, covered fingers. "Classical."

"Classical," the boy repeated in wonderment, looking over the CD, both hands clutching it as if it threatened to disappear were his attention ever to wane. The visor of his helmet remained glued to the item for several moments more, looking it over in silence.

"What do we say, Archie?" prompted the man.

"...Thank you," the boy eventually said, turning back to Takamura, his voice still awash with near-whispered wonderment.

"Very good. You're welcome, Archie." Another smile came as Archie's attention returned to the gift. The man did not turn to go, nor did he move to let Archie out. "There's one more thing that we'd like to give you, but it has to come with a promise." The boy's attention snapped back to Takamura, though he did not speak, instead patiently waiting for more. "Can you promise to twice as many tests next week?"

The boy was silent, yet Takamura's smile remained. Archie shifted in place, anxiety building quietly over the choice. Withholding the nature of the gift only fed the fire; that was the whole idea, after all. "It's a very nice gift Archie. I think you'd really like it."

For a few moments, the boy's demeanor appeared more like a slow, controlled signal that he needed to use the bathroom than anything resembling mulling over a scheduling choice. A slow, silent nod eventually came, at the researcher let out a skeptical hum of thought. "Are you sure Archie? You have to be very certain--it's a lot of tests, after all."

The man's prodding prompted a more serious nod from the boy, along with a muted "Yes, I promise." Takamura's ever-present smile turned out of view as he returned to the open transfer station, pulling free a second, far stranger silhouette. Black plastic, glossy in some places, matte in others; a rather thin yet wide box attached to a multi-segmented cylinder; at the front of it, a dark yet gleaming circle of glass. From both sides of it all, a long strap of fabric dangled lazily in the stale air.

Takamura held up the object for the boy, setting it down on the table carefully. "Do you know what this is, Archie?"

It was the spitting image of one of the most captivating elements of his picture-encyclopedia. The boy was too excited to touch it, his hands wavering inches away from the item as he forced himself to draw no closer. "A camera..."

"Yes, a camera," the man said, pressing his palms down upon the table, "and if you keep your promise, it will remain yours. Okay Archie?" He received another enthusiastic nod for his words. The pact formed, Takamura picked up the item again, circling around the table to Archie. "Now," he said, taking up the strap in one hand before pulling it over Archie's helmet, "tighten it like so, but not too much; you don't want it to be uncomfortable, just keep it from slipping off of your shoulders. There." The strap was adjusted, leaving just enough room for it to pass over Archie's head with little issue.

"Now, take the camera," Takamura instructed, the skin-tight containment suit encasing the boy's hands gingerly reaching for both sides of the device, "here's the switch to turn it on--press it and hold it, there you go." The screen at the front glowed with life, proudly displaying the manufacturer's logo as a few activity lights leapt into existence. "The big button is for taking pictures, and if you want to change the focus..." his hands pulled away, moving to the front of the camera as Archie kept a firm grip, "...then you can turn what we call the aperture, at the front. Okay?"

The boy nodded briskly. "Thank you," he said again, his hands tightening ever so slightly on his new prize.

"The rest of the kit will be in your room, along with the manual. If you're good, maybe we'll find something that you can put all of your pictures in after you take them." Smiling, he rose to his full height, moving toward the exit. He pressed his hand to the scanner, and with a harsh, biting tone, the door slid open, revealing the hallway beyond, as well as a waiting nurse. "Why don't you go to the cafeteria and try it out?"

Archie nodded. "Okay," he said, hopping toward the exit--though not with too much liveliness, lest his gift somehow break. The other, in his excitement, was nearly left behind; the labcoat-sporting Osakan took up the CD in his own hands, passing it to the nurse by the doorway. "Goodbye Mister Takamura," he said, looking back at the man as he and the nurse started down the hallway.

"Goodbye Archie. See you in a few days," said the scientist, offering a smile before turning off in the opposite direction.

Archie and his escort remained silent for several minutes as they made their way through the facility. "Mrs. Taro," the boy eventually said, looking up at the woman. As she glanced down expectantly, he held up the camera.

"Would you like to take my picture, Archie?" she asked; the boy nodded, as she thought he would. Smiling, she moved over to the wall, brushing her hair back and clasping her hands in front of her waist. "Ready?"

"Yes," came the tame reply. He held up the camera carefully, looking down at the screen as he tried his best to frame the woman's body. His finger went for the button as expected, the quiet click of the shutter coming before confirmation of the image on the screen. One, it seemed, was all he needed. "Thank you," he said as he looked back to the nurse in mild delight.

---

Several of the others had already reached the cafeteria by the time Archie and Nurse Taro had arrived. Even from down the hall, Archie could hear the familiar sound of his roommate approaching from the other end. There were few others present in the room, and their numbers as a whole were rather small; the boy had no trouble carefully darting through the arrangement of tables and chairs toward one of the opposite hallways, passing Jay and Alieel without saying hello--at least not yet--as he waited for the other, older suited figure to emerge from around the corner.

Emerge he did, eventually, steps slowed from his condition and his suit. Archie was patient, a lone, small figure on the far end of the hall as Twenty-Four approached. It was only once the other boy had grown close enough that Archie moved again, raising his arms as the light click of a shutter briefly cut through Nowak's laborious breathing.

"Hello Waclaw. Cheese." Even if one set aside the fact that Archie was the photographer, his lack of proper procedure was made nothing if not more ridiculous by the fact that the picture had already been taken.

Olive Lewis

Olive didn’t want to wake up.

Dreams made her feel safe, untouchable, and - most of all - normal. Well, maybe normal was a bad word for it. After all, everyone she lived with was a bit atypical. But their eyes weren’t “wrong”… That’s how the men in white described it to her. Her eyes were “wrong” and that’s why she saw things that weren’t really there. It made no sense to her. She could make people see whatever she wanted, so how come their eyes were “right”?

She never got an answer.

Some days, Olive would wake up and her eyes were “wronger” than usual. Shadows would loom in the corner and stared at her with their hollow eyes while others would creep around the room. They whispered to her and chatted, making her feel a little less lonely sometimes. All they wanted was for her to be better. Yet they still unnerved her in a way she couldn’t explain.

But, there were only twelve more hours until she could go back to sleep. Twelve more hours until she would dream and see the world like everyone else.

With a huff, Olive sat up from her bed and pushed off the blanket. There were some scratches on her upper arms again. She slid out of bed and combed her hands through her tangled mass of brown hair. She heard someone in the room shift. Ana.

“Morning,” Olive greeted, doing her best to muster up a smile so early in the day, as she glanced over to Ana. Out of all the others that lived here, Ana was probably the one she liked the most. She sort of felt like the sister she never had.

Although there was no physical clock in the room, she knew she woke up later than usual. It was probably around time to eat.

She plopped back down onto her bed. “Did you already get food?” Olive hoped she didn’t. She didn’t like eating alone and most of the other people made her uncomfortable.

A dark room, dormant with no motion to be seen within the confines of its shadows. Dark, darker, yet darker did ones vision slip. It was almost maddening to be confined in such a place, with thoughts of motion in the dark breaking ones mind down piece by piece as their fear consumed their own mind. Blaise Ignium however, had gotten used to it. Ironically despite the fact that he could summon fire as a source of light, ability usage in his cell was prohibited which forever left him in the dark. However, he wasn’t awake to suffer in the darkness, and instead slept soundly upon a crude makeshift bed of a mattress on the floor with red sheets and a black blanket that couldn’t fully fit his frame. Though the temperature was only a cool 60 degrees, he still shivered while his chest rose and fell in a rhythmic cycle.

Peace, as always, could not remain forever though. As the Pyro slept soundly underneath the blanket, a loud electronic buzz echoed throughout the metallic room. It would continue to ring until it was evident that the subject as awake and moving. Should he have his voice, he would’ve called out in a cursing fashion for the jackasses to turn the damn thing off. However, silent as always the boy was, and stood up from the mattress and waved his arms around in the darkness. Finally the buzzer shut off, and the lights came on in the cell.

“Subject Number 00054, Rise and Shine.”

Blaise narrowed his eyes at the camera in the corner in the room, before letting off a literal breath of steam as the machine in his throat sputtered to life, powered by his breathing.

“You know the drill, await your clothes and meal to be presented. You have twenty minutes before we take you in for regular testing.” Blaise turned and walked to wait by the door, “And,” He stopped dead in his tracks, “Should everything go well, you may finally leave Cell Block F.”

Something burned in Blaise’s core, was it joy? Relief? Or fear perhaps? Fear of the new lifestyle he’d have to adjust to, and the new people he’d have to converse with. It was exciting, but nerve wracking all the same. Once his clothes had been delivered, he changed out of the baggy shorts and t shirt he had worn to bed, and dressed in the black compression shorts and skin tight red tee provided for him. Tennis shoes were also available, with an odd logo and a label of ASICS. Afterwards, a tray slid in of a glass of fruit juice, a bowl of bland cereal in the shape of seemingly endless O’s, and a couple tablets of energy supplements to kickstart the energy.

He rate rather ravenously, tearing through the wheat cereal and downing the milk remaining, before gulping down the energy pills with the juice. With his stomach temporarily satisfied, he stood and waited patiently at the door with his arms folded. An impatient look pressed on his face, that would instantly disappear the moment the guards arrived.

It was the same process of being bound at the hands with heavy metal cuffs and taken out of the cell, down a series of corridors and halls, finally into a large chamber designed with an array of devices and machines to test subjects on their abilities. Today it was set up with an array of moving targets, and cannon type objects that would fire a volley of projectiles that Blaise would have to dodge and destroy. Inside he went, and was promptly by a voice that brought chills to his spine. Head Scientist Jonathan White.

“Good morning Blaise! Did you sleep well?” There was silence, “Don’t be shy, open your mouth!”

How hilarious, asking someone who can’t speak to defy cruel fate.

‘I slept fine, let’s skip the small talk and get this over with.’ He signed with a bored expression.

“Now now. Let’s not get too demanding here, after all if your results show an unwillingness to comply with tests. I might just have to lock you back up in the freezer again.” The color drained from Blaise’s face, “There it is, the scared little boy so willing to do what I say. Now then, let’s get to work. Dear Michael! What should we listen to today as we test our Pyro?”

“I’m feeling in a classic metal mood, my friend.”

“Perfect! Then let us satisfy our ears, while Blaise satisfies our demands.”

Loud music began playing over the speakers in the testing center, and it was a bittersweet feeling for the Pyro considering he enjoyed the music but hated the testing.

“Aaaaaaaaaaaaand Begin!”

The machines began to move, and flames charged in Blaise’s hands.

A target moved to his left, and was instantly blasted away by a flame projectile. More arose and popped out of the ground, walls, and even ceiling. Each one only had a certain amount of time to be hit, or Blaise would be administered a controlled shock through the device in his throat. Fortunately, he been through training like this enough to know the patterns and the telltale signs of when one might pop up. Target here, Fire blast, Target there, Blue flame charge. It happened over and over again, and grew to be quite boring.

Finally things go interesting, with the cannons roaring to life. The targets ceased arriving and instead mass clumps of metallic molds shot from them, each one with a different combustion point that Blaise would have to match in time. Dodging and weaving through the first volley, the Pyro then retaliated against the next wave of metallic targets with repeated blasts of light blue flames. The numbers increased, and soon simply using his hands weren’t enough. Feeling the flames burn in his throat, Blaise opened his mouth wide to dispel projectiles from the engine within his throat.

Eventually, everything finally shut down, and Blaise knew full well what was to happen next. A test of how far he could push his limits on the temperature of his flames.

“Splendid work Blaise! Now, complete the final test before we finish today!”

A panel In the ceiling opened wide, allowing a rather large cannon to pull down and turn to face Blaise.

“This will be your great challenge yet I hope! Now, let’s see those white flames!”

Blaise felt his stomach drop. This man was absolutely crazy! The temperature to achieve a literal white hot flame was impossible to hold for long enough to fend this off! But he didn’t have time or the option to argue, as a large projectile was already tumbling out of the cannon and heading straight for his position. Pressing his hands together, Blaise unleashed an unholy blast of light blue flames that rushed into the molded sphere. They were good enough to stop the descent, however the combustion temperature was far from reach.

Come on damn you! Just a little more power!
He growled in his mind as steam began spilling from the corners of his mouth.

Tensing his muscles, and gather all of the strength he could, he forced everything out causing the light blue flames to flicker a vivid white. But he could not hold the temperature, no matter how hard he tried, and the sphere came careening down and smashed into Blaise’s right should. With a whimper, the flames died out and the Pyro was thrown to the side as the sphere rolled onward. His strength was gone, and his body was wracked with pain, so he did not move.

“How disappointing, then again that’s not irregular with you is it?”

Blaise grit his teeth, feeling anger boil in his stomach.

“Well.... a promise is a promise, once you get some feeling in your legs the guards will guide you to your new living quarters. You might have a roommate, might not. It’ll be a surprise.”

6 A.M. Holden always woke up a bit earlier than everyone else. The first hour of his day was always dedicated to keeping himself fit. It took a minute before Holden was able to convince himself to get up. With a grunt and stretch, Holden rose from his rough padding of a bed. He took the padding off the bed and started doing verticals on the frame. After satisfied on the work with his legs, he moved to the front door. Holden threw his shirt on the ground and started lifting himself. The only grip he had was the couple inch long extension from the door frame. After building up a sweat, he started loosing the grip on his fingers. While going up, the sweat on his fingers slipped his grip off the frame, sending him back to the ground.

A bit of time passed before Holden came back. There was a searing pain in the back of his head. Holden reached behind to rub it when he noticed his hair was wet. He pulled his hand back to see blood coating it. There was a decently large pool of blood that Holden was occupied in. It was more of an annoyance than anything else. He got up and called down maintenance for cleanup. And more clothes. And maybe a towel.

After getting himself fixed up, he made his way out of his cell and towards the cafeteria. Holden grabs his tray and took a seat, waiting for any of the other kids to show up.

Aidyn|#00067
Location: Cafeteria | Interacting: NPCs, Jay ( WolfOfProphecys WolfOfProphecys ), Alieel ( Cosmos Cosmos )

A complete and total stranger sat before Aidyn. She was a child psychiatrist, he recalled, and she kept glancing over at him from across the table with worried eyes. Undoubtedly, she thought him some kind of monster. Which, in retrospect, he supposed he was. Sure, he wasn't the worst out of all the other test subjects--there were some who were forced to wander around the halls with restraints--but he could no longer consider himself human.

"It's okay, Mrs. Lin. He cannot hurt you in any way. Remember?" came the voice over the radio. The woman nodded although she didn't look fully convinced. "I assure you: nothing bad can happen to you while you're here. You're safe." She nodded again, a little more vivaciously this time, and returned her attention to Aidyn.

The stranger swallowed before taking in a deep breath. "So, uh, I hear you can read people's feelings. A true empath. What's that like?" Aidyn stared up at her with dull, uninterested eyes. He knew she was trying to get words out of him, knew they all were, but he wasn't going to give them that satisfaction. "It must be tough," she continued, smiling gently at him. She was getting more used to his peculiar disposition, it seemed.

Aidyn reached a hand across the table, placing it on top of her own. She jumped, pulling back abruptly, before seeing the innocence in his eyes. There was no ill intent here. Biting her lip, the woman set her hand down back on top of Aidyn's. That was all she needed to do for a quick connection to be made. He could pick up on her nervousness, yes, but also her excitement. He assumed that excitement was caused by the steady heartbeat he picked up on coming from her lower abdomen. She was pregnant.

Retracting his hand, he pointed at her belly and beamed, proud that he'd figured it out. He ignored her surprised stare. That was what they'd wanted to test this time around, he assumed. That and to continue with their futile efforts to get him to speak up again. In any case, he was done now, as the man over the speakers told him.

"That'll be all for today, #00067," Aidyn was told. A few guards came in and pulled out his chair, giving him ample room to stand up and exit. "We'll be taking you to the cafeteria now." He was okay with that. Hopefully, Jay would be there. Aidyn hadn't been able to speak to him before he was dragged off early this morning for this experiment, if it could even be called such.

It wasn't long before Aidyn and his escort reached the cafeteria. There were a few people here, he saw, some of them he knew and some he hadn't been able to meet yet. He made his way over to Jay, who he spotted almost instantly, leaving the guards behind. Jay seemed to be talking to Alieel, a fellow experiment for whom Aidyn had a soft spot for. She was weird and he liked that about her.

As he approached the duo, he waved. It wasn't a grand gesture but it got his point across in the most effective way possible.

Waclaw wasn't caught off guard by Archie's sudden appearance, he was more caught off by the fact of the camera Archie was carrying.
"Archie, that camera; a gift?" Nowak inquired about Archie's new item, the signs of excitement were evident around his younger roommate and he was glad for the kid, he needed something to occupy his time with other than the tests, at least that was Nowak's initial thought process.
While he awaited Archie's answer, he received a most peculiar message on his visor; he still wasn't sure about receiving silent messages, none of his fellow subjects know about that and he pondered on what their reaction could be if he told, he decided he'll tell Archie soon; the kid deserved to know but that would be for later. He opened the message, discreetly thanks to his sneaking talent.
The message read:
"As per agreement, your reward for exceptionally clearing your previous stealth course in under 8 minutes, you have been given the layout of the new course that you will run today at 1900 hours, however the usage of your palm vents shall be limited to 12 oz and a cooldown of 120 seconds. Congratulations, Subject Frosty."
Nowak let out a small grunt accompanied by a wheeze as usual.

Lola sat in a corner of her room writing notes on the back side of her small whiteboard and hummed the notes back to herself, she had been awake for a while now due to her still not used to her own breathing being louder than normal which made her restless when trying to sleep and it was obvious that she hadn't slept well with the bags underneath her eyes despite her smile. Then she heard a buzz in her room and a voice "Food is prepared then you may join the others" The voice said as a guard opened the door to her room and placed a tray of food. Lola sighed to herself after the tray was left and she picked it up, while she was allowed to be out and about with the others she wasn't allowed to eat with everyone else since she's supposed to keep her mouth muzzled at all times when out of her room. She happily ate her food quickly and knocked on the door to let them know that she was finished.

"Subject #00178 has finished their meal and is ready to be escorted to the others" The voice said, as she put down the tray and picked up her whiteboard and marker, several guards came all of them wearing noise-cancelling headphones as two of them grabbed her arms and another forced her muzzle onto her before the other guards let go and escorted her to the cafeteria, as they did she continued to hum the music she had starting writing in her own head and started skipping in between the escort "So whys this one need a muzzle on?" asked one of the guards said behind "You must be new, she's got a ballistic voice, can destroy nearly anything with a screech as long as she also gets the right pitch and needs so she doesn't kill anyone or break anything. More of a precaution than anything else though." The guard said. As she walked into the cafeteria the guards dispersed and she walked over to everyone else that was already here and she sat on a table next to them and waved happily, before she started quickly writing on her board and flipped it over to show everyone "How's everyone going? Also hi Alieel" The board said as her eyes showed happiness and curiosity, as she swung her legs

dcevgd2-d0345098-4641-4173-bebd-249b8953c5c1.jpgAileen sometimes had strange dreams, some her body would be in pain and would cry out, others she was trapped in complete darkness without another soul to talk to. The scary part was they all felt like memories than dreams. Whenever she had this dreams she would wake up in a panic and her head would fill fuzzy. She had just woken up from one of those dreams and she felt strange. Aileen stood up slowly from her bed and looked around something didn't feel right. To shake off the strange feeling she went to take a shower once she was done she put on her suite and got ready to go. Before that though she had to do a daily check on her powers. Faster than you could blink her entire body became electricity. Whenever thing seemed checked out she powered down and a pressed a button that was next to the door. "Ready to leave." She said into the intercom. A scientist's voice answered her back. "Alright, it's unlocked you can go. Remember if things get out of hand shock them till their out." Aileen responded. "Yes sir." And with that she opened the door and headed to the cafeteria.

When Aileen got there she scanned the area before getting the tray. Things seemed pretty normal enough. After grabbing her tray sat in front of Holden at the table. Aileen then stared down at her tray thinking. The dreams were getting annoying and the scientists were never any help. They just kept saying it was nothing to worry about and not let it get to her head. She trusted their judgment but.....She looked up at Holden. "Hey you." It came out more intimidating then she meant to. "I got a question. Can memories come out in your dreams?"

"Yes," the boy responded with a single, yet enthusiastic, nod. His voice was quiet and relatively controlled, yet the ceaseless fidgeting of his hands along the buttons and contours of the object made clear his excitement to those who knew what to look for. It was difficult for most--including many of the scientists--to make proper sense of Archie's faceless moods. For his roommate, one who was in a very similar situation to boot, such miscommunications had greatly eased. Indeed, at times the younger boy had taken up a few mannerisms from the older, mirroring certain expressions that he had not yet developed his own alternatives for.

He shuffled in place where an ordinary, less controlled child might have jumped up and down with joy. "They gave it to me because I was good, and for extra tests." Whether or not the second portion was worrying to the other subject, Archie did not seem to mind. To him, it was worth the exchange, and it likely would have been difficult to convince him otherwise. There was no doubt that the camera was the most complex thing he had ever been given, a stand-out item amongst a small stream of simple books and inert toys. It was also perhaps a triumph, in a way; it was no secret to the nurses and doctors that came for his so-called Conversational Hour that pictures and photography were his latest fascination. The researchers tended to be very careful with what they gave and what they told, yet between books of color photography and a recently-given children's encyclopedia, the helmeted child had managed to put two-and-two together.

So long as they monitored what he was taking pictures of, they likely figured, there was no harm to be done.

Archie looked down, clicking through some of the buttons for a brief time. "Look," he said, turning the device around. There was only one other image on the camera's drive, a picture of one of the nurses assigned to their room. "Mrs. Taro." As he held the camera out, his visor tilted upward ever so slightly, the smallest of tells indicating that he had shifted his attention from the camera itself to the one he now offered it to. He fell silent, listening to Waclaw's wheezing; if there was one thing still difficult to tell about Archie, it was whether or not he was truly capable of picking up on Waclaw's suppressed pains. Sometimes he asked. Sometimes he didn't. All that could be said was that when Nowak's pains were debilitating, Archie's track record was perfect.

Of course, the same could be said for anyone in the facility with a working pair of eyes, colorblind or not.

Even so, the boy's attention returned to the camera quickly, his speech ever-polite--perhaps unnaturally so--as the doctors had taught him. "They said the camera came with other things, and that they are putting them in our room. I hope that there are more lenses. How are you today, Waclaw?"

Every night before she fell asleep, and every morning before the experiments began, there was a game Ana liked to play. The only player was herself however, the sport the unaware passerby. All that was required was quiet and her ears. Her grandmother used to say you only really knew the people in your house when you could tell them apart by their footsteps alone. This house was a little bigger, but the game still stood, and over time she had become exceedingly good at it.

Waclaw was the easiest, the unforgettable wheezing being a telltale sign of the child of ice. It was rather unfortunate really, he was so light-footed between breaths. Holden was a little harder, though his stance had a sort of lazy confidence to it. He usually got up early and was one of the first out of their pens, unlike the slime girl...? Boy...? Ana wasn't sure if gender really applied to them, but they usually were one of the later ones. Which meant...

Ollie had slept in.

It was unusual, though Ana wasn't so worried about being punctual then she was about her cellmate's sleeping patterns. Were they keeping her up again?

Ana pondered on this troubling thought with hands tucked beneath her head, staring at the ceiling of the dismal living quarters she and Olive called home. Home, what a strange thing to call it. To think that soon she would have lived here, in this cage of concrete and steel, longer than where she had been born. It would be 6 years by now. Olive had been here even longer than her. Eight, if her memory recalled. Exactly half of her existence.

She turned her head to glance at the sleeping girl, wondering if she still missed anyone on the 'outside', or if they missed her. Then Ollie awoke with a huff and Ana went back to her staring contest with the ceiling.

"Morning Ollie." Ana replied, pretending not to notice the fresh scratches on her arms. Again? she thought, the worry never reaching her face. Were they increasing in frequency? She'd have to keep an eye on it.

She didn't want to make Olive feel bad by telling her she had been waiting so she gave a shrug and said, "Nah. Wasn't really hungry." The lie rolled easily off of her tongue. "Besides," she added with a wiry smirk "The quiet's nice." The best lies always had truth in them.

With Olive awake Ana hopped off her bed and walked out into the hallway, turning back to give her cellmate a small wave. "Come on, we don't want the food to get cold."

---

When the two made it to the cafeteria Ana lead the way to their usual table. Her eyes scanned the room for Boris, but her twin was nowhere to be seen. It would seem that Olive had not been the only one to oversleep. Which reminded her...

"You been sleeping alright?" Ana asked Olive, giving her a questioning glance before going back to watching Archie and his camera.

OLIVE LEWIS

“Nah. Wasn’t really hungry. Besides, the quiet is nice.” Olive ate up the lie. She smiled, relieved that she would get to eat with her.

“Come on, we don’t want the food to get cold.”

The girl ambled over to Ana. “I hope they have muffins today. Or are they cupcakes?” Olive paused for a moment, her eyebrows furrowed in thought. Despite their meals being around the same quality as school cafeteria food, she genuinely enjoyed it. But, then again, she didn’t know how expensive dishes tasted or that they even exist. “Mmm, whichever the sweet ones are.”

It was only around Ana that Olive would ramble. She wasn’t comfortable around most people, because she felt like they were silently judging her. The shadows thought so too. But, with Ana, it wasn’t like that.

She walked alongside her roommate, her eyes wandering around the hallways, searching for something new amongst these white walls. Olive knew she wouldn't find anything, but she looked nonetheless.

After a while, she glanced back over to Ana. “What’dya want to eat?” She knew the answer - mainly because there wasn’t much of a selection - but asked out of politeness. The two entered the cafeteria, the metal doors sliding shut behind them. Olive noticed Boris wasn’t here either.

“You been sleeping alright?”

“Huh? Yeah.” She contemplated for a moment, “Well… I’ve been getting some nightmares. El Oscuridad shows up sometimes.” She explained, using a Spanish name she gave to one of the illusions who seemed to stick around the most, “He always tells me something before I wake up. Don’t remember what though.” Olive began to trail off, zoning out in the middle of the conversation. Her eyes fell on the camera. “Woah… did he take that thing off the wall?” She’s never seen a portable camera, only the ones that were fixated on the wall, watching them.

The food was bland. But at least he was getting fed. Holden knew there was much worse in store for those who were considered a high threat. Some others came in and started talking to each other. Holden felt a bit insecure about the others seemingly avoiding him, but didn't dwell on it too much. They seemed pretty up for their situation.

After waiting for a bit, Holden got a guest. It was the electric girl. He rarely talk to her before, so he couldn't place a name on her. "Hey you. I got a question. Can memories come out in your dreams?" The question was a bit sudden. He wasn't sure how to answer it. "Well, I don't really have dreams anymore. Something with my brain being reconstructed so many times. But when I did... yea. There's a lot in my past that I regret, or would like to forget. And I would often be haunted by them in my sleep. Why do you ask?"

Aileel just about jolted out of her skin as another experiment arrived from the opposing door, rushing over straight past his greeting in an attempt to escape back to her guard friend, however failed as a panicked guard shut the door with a quick yelp and sigh of relief. Not out of danger, but each of them had enough latching onto by the odd girl to last them a lifetime, some even working unpaid overtime since she wouldn't detach and even slept with them in her grasp.

Turning back with a disappointed and semi grumpy expression she looked at Jay, sitting on all fours tail curling around slightly and flickering at the base, the far away tip remaining still as her fingertips pressed gently out and against the tiles beneath. The expression would've looked more serious however, if it weren't for her tongue still remaining out. Before another word could be said she crept over to a nearby cool wall and flopped herself upright against it, arms out at side and cheek smooshed against it as she continued to stare at the male with a small gurgle of annoyance. Almost like a child throwing a temper tantrum.

It was just about the most human like position you'd see her in, otherwise possessing a slightly hunched position, shoulders forwards and arms generally down looking well- much like the guards teased a sort of prehistoric lizard.

As more began to arrive however she perked up, tongue flickering in excitement as she bounded over investigating each, tail propelling her forwards as she did her usual rounds of sniffing the air and staring at each new feature and colour, once Lola arrived with her board however she bounded over, tail curved up and behind her legs as she balanced perfectly, staring face to face with the masked girl in curiosity, a hand creeping out towards the mouth device to try and yank it off before the usual "Ay!? Subject 230 step away from the mask!" was yelled in a stern female overseer voice from the loud speakers.

Alieel glancing backwards at the seemingly non existent person with a glare, still balanced on her curved tail as she searched to hunt them down, sudden attacks were her speciality after all, even if you saw it form a mile away there were few but Jay who could really dodge the leaps. Although both angry and happy snuggles seemed just about the same, only one of them involved a lot more tongue wrapping around peoples eyes in a weird and slightly slimy blindfold.

The heavy clanking echoed through the halls loudly at each footsteps, four guards surrounding the girl, masked with heavy metal with hands and legs cuffed, a leg tracker blinking her code number loudly as huffs of breath in the restraining item let out from the small mouth gap, her exposed skin from the black singlet and leggings showing cuts and scarring all over, the more serious patched up, along with a bandage over the recent experimental spot. The doors let out a churning noise as the guards stood at attention for her to enter, shoved in with a stumble before unlocking her mask from behind, cuffs being released to a chain setting allowing small movement, a glowing material surrounding the inner lining, a power nullifier they'd enhanced for her, she could still let out small bursts, but knew the punishment well.

The feet locks were loosened as well before they turned to leave, two remaining posted by the door as the others went back to patrol, "Go on zero one, eat up ya weirdo." he mocked as she glared back, beginning to slowly pace towards a table, sitting well away from the others quietly, she didn't look in pain, not physically. But internally her cheeks seemed to blush and shoulders hunched in light embarrassment, did they always have to make such a big deal of her entering? A few coughs escaping her mouth. Right now she looked weak, like no threat at all. But everyone in that cafeteria knew the instructions from the scientists, the warnings even harsher than their own- that thing was a monster, and capable of destroying them all.

The only who the blurry visioned girl could really looked around to see was coming down the hall, if she'd had the strength she would've smirked, Blaise. One of the few she ever made contact with, the scientists at first had wanted them to train together…. a long, long time ago. They used to be well- what many would consider friends back when- well back when the guy wasn't a bloody mute. The gesture made her chuckle now, it had been what, a week, a month? since viper had let her see anyone. yeesh- one day she was going to punch that bloody scientists teeth out.

Looking back away at the empty tray in front of her she let out a sigh, a small smile curving onto her lips, welp, at least it beat energy injections, physical food, no matter how rancid the taste, was a treat she'd never give up. Didn't she have some stupid medical checkup today? Argh- ever since her all they'd had were quivering wusses, to scared to lay a hand on her without heavy sedation.

Ana Vasiliev (#00076)Ana face.jpg
: n/a

Ana's lips tightened at the name, recognizing it as one of the more reoccurring 'illusions'.

The dark one with the eyes. Hmm, wonder what he's trying to say...or if Olive should hear it or not. I doubt it's good.

"You know, I told you to wake me up if you have trouble sleepi..." she began, only to trail off when she noticed Olive had zoned out. A small smile appeared briefly on her face as she shook her head in a bout of self-humor. It reminded her of the times she tried to nag some sense into Borya.

Instead, Ana followed her line of sight towards the masked kid with the camera. Ah, of course. She could tell the girl was curious because she was too. How could you not be? A speck of normal human life showing up in this god forsaken place was about as bizarre as finding a fish in the middle of the desert. To be honest Ana wanted to join the group of subjects gathered around Archie, though not for the novelty of the device. Photography was an integral part of her tests so a camera was nothing new, but the fact that a subject was the photographer was intriguing. She wanted to see what places he had taken pictures of, and most importantly, who he had taken pictures of. There were bound to be scientists or nurses she hadn't seen yet, and the idea of a new appearance for her to try was thrilling.

"Nah, he doesn't have the strength for that. It's another one of the rewards the Coats give him." Ana said dully, continuing her surveillance of the cafeteria while she spoke. Still no sign of Boris. Based by logic, she knew he was probably just sleeping in or testing the limits of how long it took for the guards to prod him awake but she couldn't help but feel a restless worry.

Her eyes flicked to the cafeteria doors when they flung open, but it wasn't Boris who strode through. The girl didn't even stride, it was more of a half-stumble. The four guards were an easy clue, but she didn't need them to recognize the blazing hair. It was 01, Kasai, and judging by the fresh bandages she had just finished some tests.

Waclaw folded his arms and leaned in to view the picture of Mrs.Taro. "Met her before, don't know enough about her but seems like a nice lady." He leaned back and positioned his back against a wall, he turned his head to look at Archie. "Good, Archie, good." His short answer was firm and honest, he didn't want the kid who had become like a little brother to him to worry about his condition. The mentioning of adding "other things" to their room got Nowak intrigued, he knows the scientists aren't above snatching up the last shred of privacy they had. "Perhaps, the scientists would grace my efforts someday too." Waclaw's sentence was hollow, deep down inside he didn't want the rewards or bonuses of the scientists, no, what he wanted was the stealth, the sneakiness, the covertness that their experiments provided and the benefits were mutual, Waclaw improved his skill and the militaries of the world get to test out their shiny, new toys. "Hungry, Archie?" Nowak spoke as he pointed with his thumb behind him, at the entrance of the cafeteria.

#00178/Lola Rose
Interacting: Alieel, Kasai ( Cosmos Cosmos )

Lola just watched as Alieel looked at her curiously and tried to reach for her mask before an overseer on a speaker yelled at her. It had become routine for Alieel to try and take her mask off before she was yelled at for trying to do so. Before Lola had a chance to talk more with Jay and Aidyn, she watched with silence as Kasai stumble into the cafeteria. She quickly wrote on her board to Jay and Aidyn "I might not be back" it said as she gave Alieel a small pat on the head, hopped off the table and started to discreetly move her way over to the "monster". As she army crawled underneath tables "Hmm, I know most people would see partnering up with the most dangerous person in here just so they can use her but I feel like making a new friend, even if she is a bit dangerous" She thought to herself, as she stopped when she found the legs that had the most bandages on it. She then crawled onto the side opposite them. "Hi" she waved before fervently writing on the board before turning it around to show the girl "I'm Lola Rose. Yours?" The board asked with an arrow pointing towards Lola herself next to her name. She then rubbed it out using her left sleeve and started writing again before turning it around again "Sorry, not allowed to talk, ballistic voice, kill people if too loud" The board said as Lola smiled. "Sorry, if my :) is too much. Need to keep :) lest I go cuckoo" The board said after another round of erasing and writing before she stopped and just waited for a response and hoping not to get seen by any of the guards noticing she had slipped over to the so called "monster" "But hey, aren't all us kids monsters to them" She thought to herself as she started tapping a finger to a tune that had suddenly come into her head

Breathe man..... breathe....

The collapsed Pyro let his chest rise and fall as he took deep and almost painful breaths as a splitting pain went through his side. From what he could tell, he’d either bruised, cracked, or broke a rib, which meant that breathing and moving would be more of a burden than usual because of this. In addition, he knew full well that his muscles would be loaded with lactic acid already, meaning he’d be sore beyond belief. This day was just meant to be painful for him!

After a few short moments, Blaise finally stirred around on the ground before finally posting up on his limbs and crawling his top half backwards so that he was on his hands and knees. Then, he slid a foot under to support himself, and carefully stood up. All the while pain shot through every point in his body where muscles could be had. His large stature stumbled for a moment, but finally he found his footing and stood tall. With how much energy he’d expended on that final burst, it was any wonder how he was even conscious let alone standing. But he’d always had a knack for being a resilient and stubborn bastard, despite how much trouble and pain it always got him in.

After letting the light headed rush blow over his head, he shook his cranium about before finally taking a few light hops in place and shaking his arms out to get his body functioning and blood flowing again. Once satisfied, he walked over to the door to exit the training facility.

The guards soon came, and cuffed him as usual before exporting him from the entirety of Cell Block F, hopefully for good. The familiar halls of which he’d gotten used to roaming, granted with the aid of guards, faded behind him as they entered new territory. Doors he didn’t recognize, people he’d never seen, and a promise of a more positive outlook on his time spent in this hellhole. Atleast now, perhaps he’d have people to interact with and take solace with now that he wasn’t alone.

Granted, he hadn’t always been truly alone during his days in cell block F. He’d once had a companion that he trained with regularly, and even considered a friend back then. But one day she just stopped showing up to the daily training. He would’ve asked, but with his voice taken from him questions were an impossibility unless the guards understood sign language (which none of them did). The red headed girl named Kasai simply disappeared, and he was left on his own only to wonder what had happened. With any luck she was hopefully still alive, perhaps even released into Cell Block D. Even the thought of that brought doubt to his mind, knowing that the guards always treated her as a dangerous animal. Truth be told her powers were vicious and almost out of control during the training, and at the time his own fire hailed in comparison to hers. Yet he was never scared of her... that much was certain.

But that was all in the past, and Blaise needed to move on from it. In all reality, as she got older her powers only would’ve gotten stronger. With how wild she already was, they’d probably locked her up tight to keep her contained until they could figure out how to control her. Satisfied with that conclusion, Blaise thought no more on it.

“We’re not going to take you to your new room quite yet. The faculty are still dropping off new possessions of yours, so for now you’re going to be taken to the cafeteria to interact with the other subjects. Do try to play nice, as we’d hate to have to punish you and lock you up again.”

Blaise would hate that too, so he nodded his head in agreement. The facility rolled by with him not paying all too much attention to the details, only looking forward to finally meeting more people with strange abilities like his. For once he wouldn’t feel so strange or alone.

Soon enough, they strode through a set of double doors with a sign above that read “commissary” meaning they’d arrived at their destination. Upon stepping in, he was greeted with the sight of other young teenagers and kids just like himself mingling about and participating in the morning meal. Then, he saw HER. That head of red, and an endless supply of containment locks and restrictions were unmistakable. The very girl he’d thought to be locked away forever, was sitting idly by eating her breakfast. Unsurprisingly, Blaise felt rather awkward and shy, not sure if he should bother her or try and talk to some of the others. That or sit at a table on his own and keep to himself. The latter wasn’t all that appealing, so one of the first two would be more ideal.

The metal cuffs were removed from his wrists and hands, and he was finally allowed to roam about freely as the guards left. In an unnecessarily stressful decision, he slowly began walking toward the one he recognized. He strode until he was right in front of the table she sat at, and he sat down opposite from her. Once he’d made his presence known, he did the only thing he could do to interact with her. Blaise waved.

// #00001 - Kasai //

Kasai had been staring half asleep at the empty plate as a sudden brush of wind against her leg sent her into high alert, eyes widening as she blinked in surprise at a small female clambering up onto the bench beside her, cuffed hands pulling close to her body and legs away in a somewhat fearful and nervous manner, a blank stare coming from her still fiery eyes stared at her with a few blinks, letting out a small and tired chuckle as she relaxed a little more. A sort of derpy half smirk appearing on her face as she stared at the girls frantically moving hand writing upon the small whiteboard, brows furrowing as she tried to focus more.

'I'm Lola Rose. Yours?'

Heh. It'd been a long time since anyone had asked her name, with an eye roll she readjusted to looking in front of herself, giving a short shrug, "Kasai." she let out in a slightly raspy and bland voice, an amused expression lighting up her face, it'd been a while since she'd had a discussion with someone not trying to torture her in training.

She barely caught the next part, the girl quickly writing and erasing,
"yeesh- slow down I can't read that bloody fast." she muttered with an annoyed sigh, her vision wasn't great right now, and her lack of ever being taught more than a little when it came to words didn't help, she had to spell most things out slowly in her head. Something about her v-…. voice? Oh, that would explain the mutt muzzle, she internally chuckled at the term, it was still a hecka lot more comfortable looking than her own, then again she supposed that's what she got for biting people too many times. But hey, they're the ones putting their hands so close to her mouth when she was a kid in the first place, in her mind it was fair game.

She simply gave a nod at the last message, not really understanding much subtly evident by a small squint but pretending to do so anyway, didn't seem that important with those weird faces on it anyway.

It was just when she was about to shoo the kid away to get some peace and quiet. However ironic that would be considering neither had really talked. When a familiar face taking a seat across the table made her eyes widen once again, this time however not through startle, but shock.

"what-…." she mumbled, almost looking as though in complete bewilderment before the two guards on watch suddenly stormed over, two electrically charged volt sticks pressed dangerously close to her throat causing her to straighten and give a vicious glare back to them, letting out a soft growl and cursing under her breath. "I wasn't gonna attack anyone ya bloody idiots!?" she let out with a hiss, the pair visibly tensing despite the heavy visors and suits, giving the girl a hard shove as they left back to their positions. purposely keeping her language more child friendly around the midget that showed up.

Features Blaise once knew of the girl would be different, even she had to acknowledge that as she looked away with an apologetic glare full of anger. Her eyes no longer carried the life and innocence of the young girl he would've knew, her expression no longer determined or full to the brim with eager smiles, she was different, so different if it wasn't for the restraints and unmistakable hair, it'd be hard to think the once burning bright girl was even the same person.

Thinking of back then hurt. Gritting her teeth together tightly as as hands clenched to fists- she missed them all…. so much. But they were never coming back.

The wave faltered as Blaise looked on at Kasai. For a moment her eyes widened and she looked almost happy to see him, but it all turned to anger after the guards standing by fame at her with the electric batons and zapped her in the neck. He felt his emotions flare up but the fear in his heart was too great to look at them or do anything. Idly he sat until they left, his eyes peering into Kasais. She looked angry, hurt, and.... almost like a wild animal with the crazed glaze over her eyes. It wasn’t hard for Blaise to know that the girl he once knew was gone, replaced by this strange amalgamation of metal and rage. His heart fell, and he wanted to reach out and try to comfort her. But his voice could say nothing, and trying to interact with her might get either himself or her stunned.

Looking off to the right, he saw a girl with a whiteboard and a marker, and with a guilty expression on his face he swiped the board before hastily a scribbling something down so that he could talk to his childhood for what would be the first time in years. Once the message had been finished off, he turned it around.

“It’s been a long time Kasai, it’s good and relieving to see that you’re still alive. I’d say okay but, y’know.”

He dropped the board down and erased once more after he gave her enough time to read the first one. A scribble of a marker followed again before showing the board once more. This next message was more simple, but a would probably inspire a lot more emotion from her.

“What did those bastards do to you?”
