"Good to know!" Drew called to Lucas. He blasted another incoming robot. Out the corner of his eye, he noticed a most terrifying sight. His fist clenched. The monster had Isaac, Drew's brother, cornered. Isaac looked terrified, like he was about to die. "Isaac!" He shouted.

"Blue, Yellow, keep these things distracted! The big guy is mine!" He called, charging off to rescue his brother. The monster was just about to strike. "Now, pitiful human...time to die!" It said. But before it could strike, Drew tackled it with bone shattering force. The monster cried out and rolled away. Isaac just froze up. Drew stood up and made his way to him. "You're okay now...please, get to safety. I've got this." He said under the helmet. Isaac nodded. "Th..thank you." He said and ran off to hide. Drew...the red ranger, nodded.

The monster snarled and stood up once again. "Ah! Fool! Red ranger, you're mine!" It said, waving its large weapon around and charging for him. Drew clenched his fists and charged back at the monster. "You don't mess with my family! With my city!" He said, punching the monster square in the face. He delivered more punches, kicks, chops, and whacks. Then the monster managed to land a couple of blows on Drew, causing sparks to extrude from his suit. "Ah!" He cried out.

Thankfully, the suit protects whoever wears it. Pain is felt, but not for long. Drew got back up and started attacking again.

(I might pass out in a bit. but I wanted to post before I did)

"Got ya covered!" Jane shouted on Drew's order. She didn't know if he was the leader, but he seemed to be going after the boy to save him. She didn't know of the connection between him and the kid, but she didn't question it. Jane round housed a small group of robots, flipping away and quickly blasting another one. She jumped, using the suits power to scale the nearby wall on a building. She started running up by about 30 feet, being shot at by the robots. She took out her blaster and flipped off of the wall, shooting the ground beneath her, small explosions following each blast. She landed in a circle of defeated enemies. She then looked at Lucas. "Hey, let's go help Red!" She suggested, noting that he was taking a few hits, himself. People were safe and hiding, so now would be a good time to strike.

Lucas watched as Drew dashed off towards the kid with the soda he had had to dodge when hurrying to his bike. The monster had him cornered, and the poor kid looked terrified. Lucas took care of the last robots around him and saw Jane landing in the group of enemies she had just so nicely defeated. Those two were definitely better suited as Rangers than him...

"Yeah," He replied. "It looks like Dr-... Red could use our help." better not use their actual names around this monster.

(eh, what the heck. I typed fast enough to post this before the train xD )

"Alright. Let's go!" She said, dashing off to Red's location by the monster. "Yellow, I'll give him a swift kick, you go in for a punch!" She called to Lucas. "Hey, ugly!" She called to the monster as it readied itself for another attack on Drew. She jumped high up in the air, landing a swift kick in its ugly face. The impact of her kick caused her to flip backwards, landing by Drew's side. She took a stance for combat. "You okay?" She asked him.

"I prefer blasting it in the face," Lucas said. "Keeping my distance from ugly things with large weapons."

He blasted the monster as Jane distracted him with her kick, shot it in the face, and then tried dashing past it, hoping the monster was blinded by the blast and not able to attack him. Or at least miss.

@marorda @Lady Insanity

The monster screamed after being shot by Lucas, falling back and rolling around. "Nice kick...Nice shot." Drew commented on Jane's kick and Lucas' shot. When Jane landed beside him, he nodded. "Yeah, I'm okay. Just a few scratches." At that moment, his morpher beeped. He lifted it up to his face. "Rangers, now, while the monster is weak, use your blasters to finish him with a Tri-Bio Blast." Dr. Wilson patched in.

Drew nodded. "Right!" He replied and drew his blaster again. His helmet's visor, on the inside, gave him instructions on what to do, so he did everything as if it were second nature. He pulled a lever on the top of the blaster back, causing the barrel of the blaster to extend. He aimed it forward to the monster, expecting Jane and Lucas to follow suit on wither side of him. "Tri-Bio Blast, Initiate!" He called.

(alright guys, just for unity, lady should post first saying "ready", then Marorda goes, saying "aim" somewhere, and then I will finish the sequence xD )

"Got'cha." Jane replied, taking her blaster out again. Her visor demonstrated what need to be done, as well. Jane fluidly pulled the lever on the blaster, watching the barrel extend. She aimed it forward as Drew did. Upon Drew saying 'tri bio blast, initiate', she knelt down beside of him as he stood in the center of the group. She held her weapon out, finger on the trigger. "Ready!" She called to the group to ready themsleves, awaiting Lucas to kneel down on Drew's other side and continue the sequence.

"Thanks, I tried my best," Lucas commented on Drew's compliment. Maybe it was his visor showing instructions, and the suit almost controlling his body for him, but it felt strangely okay to be doing this. And he still felt surprisingly alright, even after being hit, kicked and shot at. All in all this was all going much better than he had expected. Maybe... maybe this wasn't such a bad change at all... He was still afraid, if not terrified, of the robots, the monsters, and the fact that the fate and safety of Inezia now partially rested on his shoulders. And all that while he still felt like an outsider more often than not.

Lucas nodded as well, pulling the lever and extending the barrel, knelt down on Drew's other side. "Aim!" he called as his visor told him to do, despite that they were all already aiming at the monster. Well... part of the sequence, no? He'd have to shrug at least some logics off in this case, he seemed. Same as with the posing. Why the heck was the posing even necessary? But those too were thoughts he needed to shrug off. They needed their focus if they wanted to finish this monster.

The monster moaned and groaned, standing up. "What?!" It shouted, noting they were aiming at him.

Upon the sequence reaching completion, and similar thoughts on all the damn posing, Drew completed it. "Fire!" He called out, squeezing the trigger to his blaster. On the dot, a massive energy blast emitted from all three of the blasters at the same time. A red one, a blue one, and a yellow one individually. Halfway to the monster, the three blasts merged into one, forming a golden blast, striking the monster and causing mass sparks and cries of pain.

"Ahhhhhh! I failed the Armada, and my emperor!" It shouted before falling over in static energy, finally exploding in a wall of flame and smoke. The words "Threat Terminated" appeared on the rangers' visors to alert them the monster had been destroyed. Drew grinned. "Woohoo! Alright!" He cheered, excited that they had actually defeated that thing. But one thing lingered...who was this emperor the monster mentioned? A boss of the Armada? Now they would celebrate, and Drew notice people emerging from the shadows of hiding. They people cheered them on, thankful to be alive and unharmed. An overwhelming feeling of...good, washed over Drew's mind. "Did...did we do that?"

"Booyah!" Lucas cheered, quite a bit louder than intended. He could hardly believe he had just actually helped defeating the monster threatening Inezia. In his excitement, he could hardly even be bothered by the words of this 'emperor'. Right now he just felt happy, relieved and... good, he supposed. And though he was still a bit afraid, this was definitely a feeling he could get used to. Though he did not quite see the meaning behind the professor's words yet.. Sure. He was a nice guy, alright. But sense of right, compassion, and kindness? His sense of right had (at least up until now) been limited to 'run at the sight of danger'. Yes, he knew when he thought something was right or wrong, but he was too cowardly to act on it. And compassion... did that mean babysitting his two year old neighbor? Because that was the closest thing to compassion he had felt as of late. Ah well...

"Looks like we did," he grinned underneath his visor. "Pretty amazing, no?"

"Woah...that totally rocked!" Jane said, holstering her weapon. All of this had seemed like a video game to her. The combat, the power, the weapons, the massive explosion brought on by defeating the enemy. This must be what her dad feels like every day when he is on duty. All her life her dad was this tough, heroic man, and she was just an aspiring little girl. But she felt like this was her opportunity to not only help people, but to be strong like her dad. To be a hero. She looked at Lucas. "More than amazing...incredible." She said, noticing the peoples praise and thankful cheers.

Drew couldn't help but smile. Isaac was safe, the people were safe...nobody got hurt. He and the others did this. He had never felt something like this before. Drew felt...heroic. Something completely new. A new chapter of life had been opened. For all of them.

The morphers beeped again. Cheering could be heard on the other end back at HQ. "Excellent work, Rangers! Excellent work indeed! Please report back to base for your debriefing. Again, excellent work!" Captain Scott chimed in. Drew nodded. "Alright team...let's go." He said under his helmet, taking the others back to the cruiser through the crowd of grateful citizens. They were still morphed, on account of their identities.

---

Upon their arrival at the base, Drew led the others down the corridor leading to the conference room from before. Everybody in the base was cheering, clapping, exchanging high fives, and smiling at the team. The Ranger Project has successfully been launched, and proved useful against the Armada. They were thrilled! Drew smiled. He led the others into the conference room, where Captain Scott, Dr. Wilson, Olivia, and several lab techs were standing. They all clapped for the rangers.

"Power down." Drew said, de-morphing back into civilian form, wearing his clothes and his jacket. The Captain smiled. "Good work, Rangers. you've done your city proud. You exceed our expectations, save countless lives...and proved that humanity isn't done yet. How do you feel?" He asked.

"I feel...I feel totally energized. Like I can do anything." Drew replied.

Okay, so the people were happy... Very understandable. But loud cheering into what ended in the speakers in his visor.... It was too loud, but he would probably have to get used to that. Wait.... did that mean his mind made up the decision before he had even truly paid it mind? Well yes, it looked like it did. Curious... interesting... pretty cool... And quite some more things. Generally positive things though. Except that maybe he was going to miss his quiet boring life. He liked it when he knew what to expect and when to expect it. And this was certainly a large change to his life. A new door, a new chapter, whatever one might want to call it. And still, though this far from fitted in with what he deemed normal and absolutely way out of his comfort-zone, he still sort of liked it. Lucas nodded as Drew said they'd best get back to HQ.

"Power down," Lucas too said whilst exchanging some high-fives as well (and horribly missing a few, damn his clumsiness and general awkwardness). The grin which had been on his face ever since defeating the monster still did not fade. As a matter of fact it only seemed to grow bigger and brighter.

"I feel a whole lot of things," he answered, unable to put his feelings into proper words. "I could just nod and say 'like he said'," he nodded at Drew. "But it doesn't quite put it into words for me."

Playing video games had taught Jane one thing: With power comes responsibility. And the ability to take what you want, that only applies when raiding a village in OP armor you looted off of some boss. This was different. She and the others had power to protect and serve people, like true heroes. She was...baffled. "Right behind you." She said to Drew as he escorted them back to base.

Upon entering, the feeling of joy and accomplishment overwhelmed her. Jane had never felt so useful before. She high fived everyone on her way in, smiled and waved. "Power down." She said, following suit of the guys. "Sir...that was the most amazing thing ever. Really, I feel like a hero." She said, minor admiration of heroes in her tone.

"Because you are a hero, Jane." Said the Captain. He looked at the team. "You have all demonstrated your potential. You have proven yourselves to be true heroes. You are exactly what Inezia needs, exactly what humanity needs. Power Rangers Bio Strike...that's what you'll be remembered as in history, as the first ones to rise up and fight the Armada. It may take time, but soon, more weapons and vehicles will be at your disposal. Now...do you accept? Will you remain a Power Ranger and defend the city?" He asked.

Drew nodded. "I'm in, sir. I'll defend this city." Drew said, smiling and giddy to accept his role as the red ranger. The Captain nodded. "Jane? Lucas? What about you?" He asked.

Jane nodded. "Me too. I wanna be the blue ranger. I wanna fight. Be like my dad. Well, secretly, of course." She said, noting that their identities might be best kept a secret. She was eager to do more, to fight again. The power was amazing. She looked onto Lucas, who was the reaming member of the team who hadn't yet confirmed their choice.

"I never thought I'd actually ever say this, but..." Lucas said, pausing for a brief moment before cracking a smile once again. "I'm in. Definitely. I might be an outsider, but if Armada isn't stopped, I fear Inezia won't be the only city that will fall." Not that he still had anything to do with his old place. Or anywhere near there. But that did not mean he wanted to see it all destroyed. Humanity needed someone to protect them. And they were the chosen onces to do so.

(Lol. Lady's a split second earlier than me xD )

Captain Scott smiled. "Perfect. Then I hereby dub you, the Power Rangers Bio Strike. The next level in the fight for humanity. Defenders of the people, hope for the world." He said, finalizing their in-statement into the city defense. Everybody, including Wilson and Olivia, clapped and cheered. This was truly a powerful moment for humanity. One for the books! "You training will start soon. For now, you're free to go home. Relax...let today's stay with with you. But know that you can't tell anyone you're a Power Ranger. For their safety." He said.

Drew nodded. He wouldn't tell a soul, especially Isaac...speaking of which, he actually wanted to go home to him. To check on him, especially after today. He nodded to the Captain. "Thank you, sir. I'm honored to be here." He said. The Captain nodded back, agreeing.

"Believe me, Rangers. This is the beginning of something spectacular. I'll have my men escort you back to the city, making sure you get back alright." He said, waving for a few of his men, kind-looking fellows , to walk over. Drew nodded. "Thank you, sir." He said again. He turned to Lucas and Jane. "Can you guys...can you guys believe this?"

Lucas nodded. Of course they wouldn't tell anyone what they were. It would only endanger those around them. And nobody wanted that, of course. One thing was sure: their quiet lives were now most definitely over.

"Not quite yet..." Lucas said. "But we're going to have to get used to it, no?"

And then he took another, to him huge step out of his shell. After all, if they were to work together, they might as well attempt to become friends. "Anyone up for dinner tonight? It's on me." Where would they go though? If they were to accept. Maybe he could invite them to his apartment and cook? Although going somewhere downtown seemed for now more comfortable.

She couldn't tell anyone? Jane was desperate to tell her father...but alas, she couldn't. Oh well. If it meant being safe, she wouldn't tell a soul. Once the group was dismissed, she popped her knuckles. "I can hardly believe it. Really, it's like something out of a video game. A very detailed video game." She said.

"Sorry, Lucas, I can't. I really need to study tonight. Maybe we can all chill sometime, however." She suggested. She really did have to study tonight for school. Also, she wanted alone time to really collect herself after today. Possibly also resort her wardrobe to find more blue clothes to wear.

"Yeah, sorry Lucas. But I have to get to my brother. I need to get him home safe and take care of him. You understand, right? But Jane's right. We should all just chill sometime. Maybe tomorrow." He suggested, genuinely wanting to get to know these people as friends, not just team mates. He thought Lucas seemed like a great guy. He looked forward to becoming good friends with him. And Jane...well, he thought she was cute. In what way, though?

"Yeah, a whole lot more realistic. Game over is game over," Lucas commented softly. "But let's not think of that. It spoils the mood." Probably already too late for that now. Way to go, Lucas... Yeah, he had a thing or two to learn about starting and maintaining friendships....

"Ah well... another time then. Tomorrow? Hmm... I think tomorrow should work yes. I don't have to work anyway. Unless they want me to cover for today's missed shift... But I don't think they will."

In hindsight it wasn't all that bad these two couldn't hang out today. He'd have to get home early anyway. With his canceled shift at work, it only meant he was able to get home earlier, so his neighbors didn't have to wait on him this time. They would have their nice evening out, and Lucas would have time to relax while babysitting Sean, their two year old son.

(woot woot... Already shipping xD )

(xDD) Drew nodded. The escorts then kindly showed the Rangers out of the base. After a long day of fighting, new things, blowing minds, and resurfacing hope, the Power Rangers proved an asset of humanity. Drew returned home, caring for Isaac once finding him among all of people near the college. The escorts had also made sure Jane and Lucas got home, wherever they needed to go. All in all, the Rangers were in for quite a ride. The world was depending on them. But Scoot and Wilson had chose wisely. One can only expect great things from them. And so, this journey, comes to an end for the day.
