The Wandering Storyteller
(Before the starter a few rules)
1. The standard, no godmodding, metagaming, etc.
2. I'm going to reiterate that if your character is a trainer or Crusade agent they cannot catch a wild pokemon character without permission from said pokemon's player, and that Pokemon cannot speak with humans but they can understand each other.
And with that I begin the starter.
The day started like most others for Mayor Arpentough, he pushed himself out of his bed, got dressed in some of fine clothes, and gave his sighting chart a glance. There were multiple blurry photos of monsters strewn around the posterboard, a few notable ones were a large shadow underwater, a small furry something speeding across the small picture, and huge stony mass with little to no distinguishable features standing far from wherever the photo had been taken. Barry poured himself a glass of coffee and examined his schedule the man had a few hours until his daily appointments began. He took a sip of his drink and examined the sunday paper there didn't seem to be anything that could be a monster, but Barry knew better than that, there was a story about farm animals going missing. Some might blame it on some normal predator but Barry was sure it had to be some kind of monster, maybe today would be the day he finally caught one. The man grinned at the happy thought of finally succeeding in quenching his obsession. 1. The standard, no godmodding, metagaming, etc.

With that the tubby man left his large house and got into his modest black car, it wasn't anything special but Barry had owned the car for quite a long time and had a bit of a sentimental attachment to it. He put his key into place and went off on an early morning drive.
Far away in a quiet part of the forest Xavier was having a similar slow and peaceful morning. He sat on his hammock for a minute contemplating his daily chores before pushing himself to his feet. There was a little grunt as Fuzzball scurried after him, bumping into his legs and almost knocking him over as the little ball of fuzz kept up with her master. He normally slept in his clothes it wasn't as if Xavier changed outfits often, so he was ready to head outside to feed the pokemon he'd taken under his care. Only about six of them were his, Ace was probably out on his morning fly, Daisy, and Swagger could be heard still snoozing just out of sight. Bruiser was probably napping outside, Xavier was a tad worried as Lady was usually found inside but he couldn't hear the dragon type, nor hear her anywhere. But he could hear the other pokemon under his care, he opened the door of the cabin and went out to a makeshift pasture he'd constructed in his first year in this new world. There were a few pokemon out in the field a Tauros and Ponyta were racing beside each other on the other side of the fence, and a massive snorlax was sleeping deadcenter of the field. There were others but these pokemon came and went as they pleased it wasn't as if the fence could contain them if they didn't want to be here. Snorlax was the only one who never left and that was because it rarely ever got up except to eat and drink.
The bull and horse pokemon came over to eat the food Xavier had poured into a trough as he walked away. He was still a bit troubled on the whereabouts of Lady, he continued to worry about his partner as patted Bruiser on the nose, causing the Aggron to snuffle a bit, he could spot the silhouette of Ace in the distance returning from his flight, but still no sight of his Dragonair. Xavier supposed he shouldn't worry too much, Lady never went far.
A third soul was not having such a peaceful morning. Hearth had awoken that morning to the sound of a screeching Skarmory, the Charizard had growled awake and taken flight to run this challenger out of his territory after a ferocious and fiery battle the steel bird ran off but Hearth found himself in a place he did not recognize. His territory was long gone as the fire type flew over an oak forest. His emerald eyes scanning the ground for any familiar landmarks, and food. For Hearth had yet to eat that morning. Hearth flapped his wings to gain a bit of height and speed, what he saw with his gained altitude almost made him roar in rage. A human city, Hearth had not been around anything made by humans in an exceptionally long time and if the charizard got his way it would've been even longer. A pair of small plumes of smoke came out of Hearth's nostrils as he turned his tail on the human place and began to fly in the opposite direction, he wouldn't go far. For whatever had taken him away from his territory must be nearby and hopefully whatever had taken him could bring him back.
The charizard landed on a dirt path with a loud thump, his nostrils twitching as he tried to find some form of food. These smells were odd, Hearth could recognize the scent of the trees, and that of humans, but he could not find any scents of pokemon, and there were a myriad of smells unfamiliar to him. Hearth continued on foot, taking advantage of the easy travel the path provided, especially for a creature of his size. His eyes flickered back and forth as he stayed on the alert to food, or danger.
