"Aaahhh no we're not playing," Victor said. "We're too old. Can't keep up with you youngsters in figure skating, let alone hockey."
Matthew didn't know what Carter was playing at but stayed silent.
"I'll come with you!" Bailey grabbed her bag off the bench and headed after Win and Carter.
"Where's the changing room?" Alex asked and Matthew led him to it.
As they were changing, Matthew checked his phone. The text made him uneasy, but he wasn't sure what to do.
He heard a noise of outrage behind him. "Who's this Elliot guy? Is he the one in the video? I'd like to give him a piece of my mind."
Matthew didn't respond. But shot back a quick thank you before slipping it back into his pocket. "Don't worry about it, I'm sure nothing will happen."
He tightly wound his laces and the two brothers re-entered the rink.
They felt too loose. He wondered if he should just use his regular skates as Bailey had clearly chosen to do.
