The year is 2803
Marswfuin is a Type 1 Terran Ocean Planet with more than 90% of the planetary surface covered by water. It has a single moon a little smaller than our Moon. The Tellurian Federation discovered the planet about 7 years ago - several hundred light years from Tellus. (Tellus is essentially Earth.) The small land mass had a geology much like that of New Zealand, Japan, Hawaii, and the South Seas Islands. But precious resources were discovered on the planet, including water. So the military decided to establish an orbital fortress. The planet became an overnight tourist resort.
Unfortunately the natives are getting the raw end of the deal. They are human with an amphibious adaptation. But the Tellurian Survey Service found them to be primitive and not much of a threat. They are highly empathic and peaceful by nature. There is a treaty in place that limits mining operations. But smugglers are always getting past Customs. The natives always protest - often by sabotage of mining operations.
Characters
Tellurian - Military, Settler, Civilian Scientist, Mining Oceanographer, Smuggler. This list is far from complete. Settlers have numerous sub types. You might run a fishing company, a bar, or just be a retiree. Use your imagination.
Native: If you want to roleplay a native, PM me. But they are essentially similar to Aquaman (minus all the superpowers). They can live on land or sea. They have webbed hands and feet, nictitating eyelids, and gills. But they also have fully functional lungs. They otherwise appear human.
Alien: There are aliens in the setting. But Tellurians are on very poor diplomatic terms with them. Only a handful of races can travel to Marswfuin safely.
Yes, you may run more than one character.

I shouldn’t have to say this, but stick to the story. It revolves around this planet.
Technology
Technology will be covered in Lore. Personal equipment is similar to Star Wars. (Light sabers are NOT available though.) Interstellar travel used Jump drives comparable to Battletech. Interplanetary travel uses drives similar to Expanse.
