Partner Search
Hi, I guess I'm casting the line again and searching for a few RP partners to keep me busy in my off time. Right now I only have a few fandoms, cuz I'm never sure what I'm into is what people would be interested in RPing...
I'm always up for original plotting, though, so feel free to peruse.
Please read my guidelines/preferences before you contact me; I'd appreciate it.
A little introduction: I'm Kasey, I'm 18 years old and I work part-time. I'm a boy and I'm gay. I kind of like more fantasy/experimental/waffy RPs versus ones with consistently darker themes, so that's my disclaimer in advance. Still, look and see if there's anything that suits you?
Guidelines
- I would prefer to RP with people around my age (18-22, say).
Though a little older or younger is fine too. - My post length varies, but is in the realm of 300-600 words on average. I'm flexible depending on the complexity of the RP.
- I try to match the pace of my partner, up to a post or two a day, but sometimes I may only manage two posts a week. It is really dependent on my mood/energy levels/free time. I'd like at least a post or two a week from you, too, but I won't be upset if you're busy sometimes!
- I'd like decent spelling and grammar, and replies with substance. Length isn't a huge concern - a few paragraphs are fine.
- I'm up for playing background characters/'NPCs,' not sure about full-fledged doubling.
- I don't use face claims. I like to draw my own characters if I post any images of them.
- I can role play in PM, thread, or e-mail. I might disclose my Discord tag if I think we vibe well enough.
- I prefer M/M, F/F or other queer pairings, if we're going romance. I don't mind characters of nonbinary genders! I may occasionally RP M/F, but don't count on it unless I specify which pairings I'm okay with.
- I'm not up for pigeonholing characters, so please don't ask me to play the 'dominant' or 'submissive' roles right out of the gate, or request 'only manly men.' My characters aren't all feminine, but some are, and if you have an issue w/ that we may not be compatible!
- Typically: no incest, large age gaps, or unrealistic depictions of mental illness (anything poorly research/stereotyped, basically).
- Not interested in recurring themes of severe abuse/manipulation or any big power imbalances, though relationships that are unhealthy in less graphic ways are fine (i.e. poor communication or bickering/rivalry and so on). So... nothing one-sided. May be weird or specific, but that's my limit.
- I'm fine with writing mature themes, but I abide by the site rules - so within reason.
- I don't like gratuitous violence/'dark' themes, though. Heavy topics can be addressed but I prefer there to be room to breathe (i.e. lighter or less intense scenes in-between).
- If you want to drop, I don't mind. RP is a hobby for me and I'd like for it to be as low-stress for both parties as possible. So also feel free to tell me what you're not feeling/what you'd like to do instead.
- OOC chatter is fine! I like to think I'm decently friendly.
- Hope that covers most things.

Persona 5Akira/Akechi (I will play either!)→ Super craving. We could advance their relationship by doing little confidant vignettes, if you'd like, because Akechi deserved better than the freaken confidant progression he got.In general I'm into the idea of these two 'pretending' to enjoy each other's company, to spy on each other, then they genuinely warm up to each other. In essence, your typical 'fake dating turns into real dating' scenario (though the tension doesn't really fully go away here).
Ryuji/Yusuke→ Maybe Ryuji taking Yusuke out for a beef bowl. :p or Yusuke infodumping about art he likes while Ryuji tries to figure out what he's on about. You know, usual stuff... I could try playing either but I dunno if my Ryuji would be that great.
I also might be up for Ryuji/Akira and Ryuji/Akechi. (apparently some people ship this??) For some reason, I am not that drawn to ShuKita... but throw a plot at me and see if it sticks.
Sorry for all of the boys, I mean basically just the boys... I'm playing the game right now so I'm just not confident about how well I can portray the girls yet! Maybe soon! (I've already spoiled myself pretty heavily, though, so there's that.)However - if you'd like to do something with OCs, then let me know. I might be interested, but I don't typically go for canon/OC pairings.Persona 2Tatsuya/Jun→ I don't have anything specific for these two, but on the off chance anyone would like to RP them... I'll take anything. I like the idea of Jun staying at Tatsuya's house during events of the game and fleshing out his home life more. Just chilling in Tatsuya's room and being gay, character-driven stuff between excursions to dungeons.Though it's not much of a plot, per se, so like I said... I'm open to ideas. I'm also probably a little rusty on my P2 lore.

Uh, I dunno what else. This is another one of those admittedly huge series, so you could try me. Canon characters I've RPed in the past include (BW) Cheren and Barry. I like Cheren/Bianca... and, I dunno what else.The generations I'm most familiar with are 4, 5, 6, and 7.

*I prefer M/M pairings, though I don't mind nonbinary or gender non-conforming characters either. I can try F/F but it's a little out of my depth. Won't do M/F for original plots, sorry. LGBT+ friendly.

☆ Fantasy/Magic! I've been into magicians (or witches, wizards, and what have you) with familiars lately. Modern magic without any familiars is fine too. I'm not talking just cats, but anything you'd like - birds, snakes, an antelope or something. So, a universe where the use of magic is either rather common or where almost everyone is born with an innate ability for it.
However... I like magic to be sort of weak. At least not as grand or weaponized as it usually is. "Household magic" works for me - stuff that is useful for completing chores or some menial aspects of work. I'm not too hard on the rules, but something along those lines. Stronger, battle-capable magic takes training and discipline.
If you're into shapeshifters then that could be thrown in here too. (I have a dragonkin/dragonborn/whatever-you'd-call-it character that I'd love to use more.)
Plot (1)! Character A has, for whatever reason (made an enemy out of someone, or were just traveling at an inconvenient time, etc), gotten caught in a blizzard. They wake up in Character B's cottage beside the fireplace. B recognizes A as someone vying for the same position on the village's council of magic. Or Something? I haven't thought it out too much. But magicians, familiars, and developing friendship as they cautiously befriend each other and practice magic together.Other plots - fantasy is so much fun. So many possibilities... if you have a universe or an idea in mind, let me know!
☆ Futuristic! Your interplanetary dealings, mega-corporations, robots, cybernetic limbs, and other science-fiction business. Though I'll caution you that I'm gonna have to abstain from hard science-fiction, because I don't have the knowledge suited for it. I like it, but I probably can't write it!
Plot (2)! Character A is of the highest reaches of society, and is sitting on a handsome inheritance after their parent(s)/guardian(s) pass. Despite a rigorously austere upbringing and a fair head on their shoulders, their family seemed incapable of shying away from publicity; everyone in the universe knows who Character A is (except in circumstances where a person may have been living under a rock, or on fringe planets where technology is considered rudimentary for its time, et cetera).This can go several ways -- Character B could attempt to destroy or argue the will so the estate must be more evenly distributed, Character B could attempt to blackmail Character A into sharing their fortune, or Character B (Character C?) could be Character A's Trusty Partner in Intergalactic Travels, Whilst Trying To Protect Their Money. Though I'd love a healthy rivalry between the two main muses in this one. I have a character for either role, so I don't care which you prefer.! Though I actually still have a starter written for Character B (in the role of Character A's secretary)!
☆ Paranormal!
Plot (3)! Any paranormal sorts of creatures, living among humans for whatever reason: it's a job assignment, they wanted to see what it was like, they have never really had a realm of their own, etc. They meet at a party (or something?) and discover they're both nonhuman, and it's a bit awkward at first... but they become fast friends.So, maybe something similar to Good Omens - if you'd want to do an 'angel/demon' pairing, wherein they know they're supposed to be at odds but become casual friends anyway, but it doesn't have to be like that or those creatures specifically. (though every time I pitch it as "like Good Omens" I'm like man, I want to do that so bad... I'm afraid I won't RP Aziraphale or Crowley/canon just cuz I don't know if I could do them justice.)Plot (4)! Vampires or ghouls or something, I don't know. I've never watched Tokyo Ghoul and I don't intend to, but I enjoy the gist of 'creature needs to feed on humans to survive' situations in more 'gritty' RPs. ...this isn't really a plot, ha, but if you have something creatures-of-the-night-esque for me, I'm here for it.Plot (5)! Your typical 'haunting' plot. A paranormal investigator, or maybe just an average and bored twenty-something lurks around a foreclosed house and tries to communicate with the deceased previous owner. The ghost tethered to the place is annoyed by the pestering, but eventually comes to enjoy the company.☆ Modern/Realistic? Modern magic can potentially go here. Your slice-of-life stuff, like roommates scraping by or your cafe plots... I'm not super into college RPs as a focus, but the characters can definitely be enrolled at one. Catch-all for most stuff that doesn't fit in the other categories, I guess!
Plot (6)! An 'accomplices' plot. In the same vein of your typical vigilante or heist story. The two characters commit a crime in the name of delivering True Justice to their victim, or just manage to rob a casino because they want the money... whatever.Pairing? On that tangent: casino dealer/high roller. I dunno why this pairing sticks to me or why I'm so interested in it, but I'd love to do it. I have ideas in mind for either role so I'm impartial.☆ Royalty/wealth, combine with any of the above categories or on its own. For some reason I am an absolute sucker for playing rich-blooded characters. While I have no issue with 'prince/prince' or 'prince/knight' etc pairings, I won't do 'rich/poor' (like, 'massively rich/a person living in poverty') or similar.
☆ Misc, keywords: odd couples (I love characters with complementary personalities, though it doesn't have to be always), childhood friends-to-lovers, (coping with) mental illness, social outcasts, character driven, humor-where-appropriate, thought I'd have more to write here but I'm blanking,... etc
X I won't do: 'student/teacher,' 'slave/master,' 'serial killer/victim,' etc.
Dedicated period RPs (Victorian, 1920s, etc) or intensive military/political RPs. For that matter, no RPF (real person fiction).
