Smoke from the now dead cooking fire rose high into the air. Raime and Chloe had not heard the gunshot over the crackling of the flames, their chewing, and the laughter from a joke, which they both considered stupid, but funny.
Now, the two girls laid on a makeshift bed, fast asleep. Chloe laid sprawled out, limbs hanging over Raime while Raime's long, silver hair covered Chloe's face. The only sounds were the crackling embers and the blue haired punk's loud snoring.
