Axolotl be back
In this world, the paper mario series, super mario rpg, and the mario and luigi series are all combined into one universe (excluding paper jam from the cannon)
Sir grodus, leader of the X-nauts is back on his feet and has rejuvenated his army. He has decided to go after a distant seemingly lifeless planet in which he so heard of so that he can rule something after he failed so miserably opening the thousand year door. He needed a new place to hold his base after the one on the moon exploded anyway.
On this planet, he quickly discovered that it was not as lifeless as it seemed. It was inhabited by a strange creature that somewhat resemble purple mushrooms. They spoke a different language, but with a translator that he made he could understand every word they said.
They spoke of the mushroom Kingdom and their failed attempt of a hostile takeover even though it seemed like they had it in the bag.
Grodus remembered this from ages ago he was just a young boy at the time. Credit for their defeat had been given to a duo from the future. They were plastered all over the news. Thinking back he knew at least one of the two responsible. Mario. The man who trampled his plans.
Together, Grodus and the shroobs made an alliance. Combining their armies together to they may take over the mushroom kingdom, and then the whole world to rule under the name of Sir Grodus.
Meanwhile at the mushroom kingdom, mario and bowser have settled their differences and have chosen a life of parties to celebrate an alliance between the mushroom kingdom and the Koopa Monarchy.
Suddenly from the skies came a giant UFO, abducting princess peaches entire castle and taking it up to space. Thinking bowser has gone rouge, mario and luigi journeyed together to attack Bowser’s castle. Bowser being innocent, is enraged that the mario bros would do such a thing, he fights them until luigi gets a word in accusing bowser of taking the castle. Bowser, filled with confusion, stops the battle and explains that he had no part in it.
Mario and luigi explain what the ufo looked like, and bowser remembers the shroobs in his freezer. He then unfreezes them and interrogates them with his own translator.
They of course don’t know what’s happening but can vouch that there are more shroobs back home, and they likely would still be angry over an unsuccessful takeover.
So bowser readies his airship armada for space travel, attempting to get help from anyone who will enlist. (Including the partners from the older paper mario games and super mario rpg)
