OMNI-MAN
BoltBeam BoltBeam (Black Rock Shooter)

Nolan's intuition are as quick as the sudden *click* of change around the tent. From the tied up man to the flickering flames of ever rising stakes, he had noticed it ever since he had eyed Mabel's gaze peering at him in a devious grin. She wanted something from him, something he had been hiding from them this whole time. Or rather, something that had been slowly seeping through his cracks. Eventually, that moment presses by her command. Nolan realized something as she called out to an assortment of names:

She was pitting the team against each another.

But an unpleasant turn of events doesn't sway his senses. The faintest breeze leads Nolan's senses, his eyes turning to a flickering blue flame that had scanned the crowd in a frantic manner. It stopped there, left, right - and eventually - it had stopped moving. Judging by her stone cold glance, had her eyes set on a target;
him. He supposes he shouldn't be surprised. Everyone had their doubts, so estranged from the worlds that they knew most. Nolan himself had attracted a couple of glances beforehand; wary eyes that were perhaps, to some extent, aware of the bloodshed he had done. He didn't exactly know why but neither did he intend on asking too many questions. The young girl in black said nothing as she drew her weapon; an armed cannon that she wields with minimum effort. With her silence and immediate, Nolan had assumed she had the wits of an experienced hunter; an instinct that naturally draws her to dangers nearby.

With the events unfolding into a brawl, Nolan saw the inevitable. Talking wasn't gonna help defuse the situation, but he at least didn't need to resort to extreme measures. His eyes merely close in reconsideration even as a wave of bullets fire ruthlessly at his body. Head to toe, Nolan's form was soon covered in smoke, biding his time until she had wasted her round of plentiful ammo.

As soon as the smoke clears,
Omni-Man had made his decision.

He didn't need to kill her.
He just needed to subdue her long enough.
A threat that he intends to deal with outside.

"... MY TURN."

my-turn-nolan-grayson.gif

In the mere blink of an eye, Black Rock Shooter is suddenly taken through the tent, a red blur zooming past many people before she could do any harm elsewhere inside. Once they were outside, Omni-Man delivers a swift punch to her face, lightly pushing her away in a great distance far from the entrance.

"If it's me you're looking for, here I am." Nolan slightly descends, slowly leveraging himself to Rock. His voice is stern, but not overtly fierce.

"I'm ready when you are."

He had just finished his counter-attack and gotten back onto his feet when he noticed his fellow scholar had decided to pitch into the fight. Despite what one would expect, the duke's expression became sterner as he turned towards his ally
"Now is not the time of that. He is focused on me, not you, go stop toayi- tch!" As he barely finished shouting an order at Orbeck, their reprieve was over, and Hershel could only click his tongue as he faced the oncoming warrior yet again.

With Orbeck so close, Hershel could only grit his teeth as he sprinted onwards to meet Rex. Yet what his opponent was preparing was too powerful to merely deflect or dodge without risk. And as the duke's face became grimmer for a moment, it grow back to his serious glare. His resolve was made.

As the swordsman pivoted and swung two blades at him, the holy man lowered his body mid-dash, practically hugging the ground, and slid on the dirt under the first set of blows-
Yet no fighter worth their salt dares expose their back unless they have a follow-up, and that Rex did. The sheer momentum of the fiery blades made Hershel break out into a cold sweat, yet there was no time to hesitation.

From his lowered posture, every single muscle within his body, tensed, adrenaline pumped, every fiber screamed as they were pushed to their limits in an instant, and bones began creaking as the duke used his entire being to generate momentum. A right armored fist with the power to shatter bones to shards rose with terrifying speed, and aimed at Rex's closest hand as the swings approached.
But that didn't do a thing about the second sword, and the duke knew it. He grit his teeth instinctively as his left hand extended, trying, desperately to dampen the momentum and heat directed towards his chest. But only the gods knew how effective that was

Rex hisses in pain as Hershel's armoured fist collides with his hand at the knuckles. An audible, tangible crunch is felt by both men, pain rockets through Rex's arm but he pays it no mind. The white sword disintegrates into the same red light and, for the moment, Rex's damaged hand simply stays at his side.

The other sword, however, hits its mark and burns. Its flaming blade, swirling red and orange with flickers of green, sears through Hershel's armour as if it isn't even there. Anything the blade touches is burned in an instant, the severity of the burns only compounding with every second of contact. Clothing, armour, skin, muscle, it doesn't matter. Fortunately Hershel's torso and head are spared the brunt of the damage, even as Rex presses his free forearm into the back of the sword to force the blade closer, leveraging his height and strength against his opponent.

Hershel sees Rex flex his fingers, gritting his teeth and attempting to will his second sword into corporeality, but the movement isn't quite as snappy as before, giving Hershel a chance to react.

I5nZz18.png

The sickening crunch meant he had achieved his objective, yet- The red sword didn't stop. As its fiery edge approached the duke, his eyes seemed to see the scene in slow motion as the momentum disregards his left hand, the weapon digs into his hand, gauntlet, arm, shoulder, everything. Nothing could truly stop the blazing sun directed at his vitals. A sickening sizzling had started to bubble from his skin as the blade imbedded itself further into him, only stopped by his left arm tighly packed against his torso, barely stopping the infernal blaze.

"!!!" it hurt, it hurt so much. Hershel jaw had clenched so strongly to try and supress noises that his gums had started bleeding. And as his torso started recuperating with the classic green glow of his magic, the holy man didn't remain idle-

His feet were digging and sliding against the dirt, putting his all to resist the push even as the edge dug into his arm and bones even further, charring them black.

Through the pain, an uncomfortably familiar sensation for him, the armored right hand moved, winding up backwards as far as the shoulder socket would let it. He stared at the face of his opponent's face for an instant, puppeteered by abominable individuals. The next moment, Hershel turned his body subtly, letting the edge slice and slide from his arm and body, leaving an open and dry gash surrounded by charred blackened skin as the barely distinguishable lump of coal that was his arm began to dangle at the mercy of gravity and his movement.

This opportunity was his only one. Using his rotation and movement, the prepared strike gained even more momentum as Hershel put his all into his next attack.
"HAAAAAAAAAA!!!" A desperate yet resolute battle cry resonated around the warriors.

A right hook sliced through the wind, the blackened armor closing in to Rex's peripherical vision as it attempted to connect with his cheek, and mercilessly drag and slam the man's face onto the dirt, with all the strength the injured cleric could muster.

Blake.png
Lightless golden eyes met Reverentia's own as Blakes name was spoken. It was the sole sign that the woman within remained; Otherwise, it as like looking at a corpse, a body puppeteered by a force beyond comprehension. Her face was completely, unnaturally still.

As much as Blake's thoughts raged, as much as she tried to force her body to cooperate with her will, there was no sign of her struggle within. Not a motion, a hint of hesitation or fear or worry. As if she had become incapable of such expressions.

As Reverentia attempted to calm Blake, to dissuade her with words, Blake only reached for Gambol Shroud on her back, drawing her weapon with vacant eyes. Trained instinct took over as Blake activated her semblance in the instant before Reverentia's fist could make contact with her, her fist meeting the Shadow of where she'd once stood. In the very next, Blake set upon the hobgoblin with fury and dexterity, swinging Gambol Shroud at her exposed back in a diagonal arc. She drew the thinner sword from within the larger cleaver of Gambol Shroud to follow up with another pair of rapid slashes.

rex_banner.png

The strike finds its mark, and Rex's sword clatters to the floor as he staggers back, unsteady on his own two feet -- but not yet fallen. Eventually, the shock of the blow forces him to a knee. Hershel can about make out his face, splotches of red flowering in the white of his eye, a thin line of blood trickling from the corner of his mouth. He plants his palm on the ground and pushes against it, spitting a wad of blood with an errant tooth or two mixed in as he heaves himself to a standing position. He clenches his fists, steps forward...

Leans to the right, wraps his hand around a chair's leg, and hurls it Hershel's way. Quick to follow through, Hershel finds Rex mere moments behind the chair, a right hook of his own bound straight for Hershel's jaw.

Thexcentrichilean Thexcentrichilean

I5nZz18.png

The hook had been effective, the swordman was disarmed fully now... yet, his instincts were telling the cleric to not remain idle.

He stared down at his collapsed opponent, teeth still grit from the pain of his seared nerves being restored where they could. His left arm still remained charred charcoal, dangling powerlessly, but the life in Hershel's eyes was far from gone. His posture readjusted, lowering his stance, his right arm forward, feet firmly planted on the dirt, staring down Rex.

A metal chair, a distraction first. The duke wordlessly stuck it with a backhanded fist as he kept alert. Yet, as Rex came into view again, the other's intentions were clear. Hershel's right arm's trajectory changed subtly upwards, fist clenching even harder as the holy man flexed his body and his good arm. Without hesitation, the cleric's whole body moved downwards with his arm. An elbow strike was aimed at the center of Rex's fist mid-uppercut

By the time her opponent would have acted, the torrential downpour of rounds that she had fired at the titan of a man had buried him in a cloud of smoke and dust - it was perhaps a bit overkill on that regard, but it had worked against her. With that resulting cloud, she could not see if she had even managed to dent her priority target at all. That is, until the smoke did clear out, and he was literally just standing there, eyes closed, as if he just stood there and withstood every single shot she just fired.

She quickly realised the sheer magnitude of trouble she had just gotten herself into, just in time for his counterattack.

"MY TURN."

Before she could begin to move, she feels herself being practically dragged through the air - and quickly finds herself outside of the tent in a one-to-one situation against her target. She stumbles and staggers as she quickly tries to readjust to this sudden shift in position, and quickly gets introduced to one of his two fits - which only threw off her positioning even more. She seemed dazed from his blinding speed as she was pushed back from the force of his attack before she slapped herself to her senses with her free hand - allowing her to regain her focus of the current situation. Now outside of the tent, she gritted her teeth as the fire in eye continues to shine its blazing blue.

"If it's me you're looking for, here I am."

She stares ahead at her opponent as he speaks, only realising now he was floating - only to see him descend. That blinding speed was not a mere act of human performance - it was superhuman, plain and simple. There was no wonder he had dazed her - his flight speed had thrown her for a loop, well and truly. She once more aims her ballistic weapon towards him as the barrel continues to revolve and spin - but she does not shoot until he finishes talking.

"I'm ready when you are."

At his borderline invitation for her to attack him, she pauses for a moment - and though she is mind controlled, she has a determined smile on her face with a confident nod of her head following then after.

She feels an adrenaline rush conquer her entire system as the magnitude of this situation sets in - even if she is mind controlled, she is up against a superhuman entity unlike anything she has ever seen or fought before - and the thought of being able to even battle such a being is filling her with an unyielding thrill to give it everything she's got.

As a result, she then continues to fire at him - resuming the barrage of projectiles to try and shoot the superhuman out of the sky. Even though it is clear she cannot dent him with such a means, a flying target is much more exposed than a grounded one - and even if it does not hurt him, perhaps the unyielding pressure can bring him to the ground.

It was almost all too quick. One second, questioning the purpose of purposely setting them up to prevent some crazy murder trap. On the other... "Of course, Mabel. Right away."

A thoughtless acceptance brought by an empty response.

Sprig plucks one of his (and currently only) trusty slingshot out from his jacket, jumping over a chair to better visualize the area. He has to keep these guys away from the show, they can't ruin it just yet. What would Mabel think! It'd be really bad. If he has to stop them getting that flame out, then he should get someone who's actively trying to get the flames out. It'd only make sense.

And that's when the enemy was found. Grabbing a pinecone he had picked up to serve as ammo some time ago, Sprig aims towards his target with one eye closed. Soon enough, Raz would have one projectile heading towards his head with as much precision as possible.

"Think fast, water boy!"

Unaware of Sprig targeting him, Raz is hit by the pinecone!

"Ow- hey!" Razputin exclaims, almost letting the water drop to the floor - though with a few quick motions of his hand, he keeps it from falling to the ground at the last second!

The Junior Psychonaut eyes the pinecone's shooter, his brows furrowing as he grits his teeth. Okay, with Frazie he could take it... sort of, it was a bit annoying - but this was a dangerous situation here!

Keeping part of his focus on collecting water, Raz manifests an orange telekinetic hand. It picks up the pinecone and chucks it right back at Sprig! "You think fast, frog boy!"

The stage was unraveling. The players unveiled—notably the dreadful Lobo who gave him and his friends plenty of headaches in Blood Gulch. As the Gleeful Twins kept talking, Corvo's gut told him something terrible was about to happen. He couldn't have known, though, what it was.

Names came from her mouth. And one by one, they turned against their friends. Corvo's Mark glowed a bright blue as he readied a spell against the twins. Then his name came out. The glow faded.

He saw her again. Emily Kaldwin. His daughter. The only blood left of Jessamine. Twice; their kingdom almost tore itself apart twice. By power-hungry rats hiding behind curtains of intrigue and politics. And, as 'Emily' stood on stage, Corvo turned to his allies. "I won't let Her Majesty's rule fall." Corvo's sword unfolded, flipping around his palm when he snatched its handle. The Mark on his hand glowed once more. "Never again."

The Lord Protector vanished in a plume of smoke.

Corvo materialized behind Kassandra. He drove the blade towards her neck.

Compared to any normal person, Reverentia was fast. Blindingly so. Compared to Reverentia, Blake was a blur. It was abundantly clear in the first few moments of the fight, as Reverentia felt the tip of a sword find purchase at a weak point in her armor's back through her cloak, that she was not fighting a normal opponent. In an instant, her rapier, drawn for the first time since this adventure's start was in her hand. It was everything she could do to turn around and deflect the flurry of slashes and stabs that the Faunus launched her way, taking a half-step back under the onslaught as she parried Blake's strikes with her own dark-metal, flaming blade and weaved through the blows she couldn't quite match. All the while, she felt the warmth of her own crimson dripping down her back from the wound, staining the ground behind her. It hurt, but there was no way to judge its severity.

Yet, despite the tenuous survivability and desperation of her circumstances, Reverentia's expression remained almost as dead neutral as Blake's. Just as with Blake, there was no anger, no hate, no fear. That simply was not how she fought. Outward dispassion, while disingenuous, was her strength, in that it hid her weakness. Which was good, because if she did outwardly display what she was thinking as she continued to backpedal, she would've seemed even more grim than usual. Things were not looking great for her, after all. With each parried blow, her options became more distinct, and all the more bleak as such. If she couldn't nonlethally disarm and subdue Blake, there were only two. The first was to kill this potentially innocent woman who was being mindcontrolled and not, as such, responsible for her own actions. That wasn't going to happen. The second was to let Blake kill her. Which...

She did not dwell on that thought. The fact that she did not have many great choices was not going to make her give up. Too many were reliant on her. If she could at least stall Blake, that meant the Faunus wasn't attacking other members of their group. If that meant Reverentia fell in the process, then so be it. The vigilante waited for an opening between strikes, the briefest pause in Blake's pace, before launch a kick at her midsection. It was more a spacing attack than a fight-ender, she just needed room to breathe, shoulders rising and falling steadily. Whether or not the attack succeeded, Reverentia lunged after it, striking at Blake's face with her sword. Unfortunately for her own chances, she couldn't bring herself to truly harm the Faunus, and only attacked with the flat of her blade.

Ryuji spots the necklaces from his vantage point, slowly nodding as a big grin splits across his face. It was a nod of understanding. He knew exactly what was going on with those things as soon as they crossed his eyes, and that would be those damn twins' problem. And now that he had that information? He knew pretty much how to prevent them from getting the upper hand, though that would be a lot easier said than done.

Either way, he knows he has a chance now. And by god is he going to take it.

As he grins, blue flames - those different than the twins' - spread across his face and body, settling over him and forming into an entirely different ensemble. This one, giving off a more thug-like vibe, only served to make him appear more confident. The last thing that appears is his mask - meant to resemble a human skull.

Shinji.png

There was no way that anything that was happening could be taken in by him in such a short amount of time. First having his body, mind, and even voice being controlled by the Gleeful Twins without even acknowledging what happened outside of the girl staring at him while he's in despair, to the sudden reveal of a crazed, grey-skinned man who's seemingly committed hundreds of crimes and a weeping blue triangle-creature that can potentially cause the apocalypse! If there was any moment that Shinji would have hoped all of this was a dream...it wouldn't even have been then.

Asuka's outburst wasn't what scared him, he was more than used to her being a loud-mouth by now, and he was definitely thinking the exact same thing: this girl is fucking crazy! What scared him was the quick departure from that attitude and the sudden shift in tone she took, apologizing to the girl before turning her attention towards the doctor, nearly knocking him square in the jaw before that 'Greed' guy caught her punch and knocked her out cold. "Asuka!" Shinji cried out on instinct, leaping from his seat to crouch up to her side, only to look on in horror as the girl on the stage called out the names of their allies, and one-by-one, they all seemed to change.

An all-out brawl had broken out in the tent, and despite the crowd's nonchalant reaction, this madness could get all of them killed at a moment's notice, or if that fire manages to reach Lobo's cage...even worse. An entire frenzy of blue flames spread throughout the entire tent in the blink of an eye as well, making it difficult to discern which flames were the ones caused by the twins, and which of them had been caused by another person in the tent. He ducked down by instinct, cowering behind one of the benches as the sounds of chaos rang around him, horrible thoughts immediately flooding his head:

'This is it...it's over...'

'What can you do here? You never even wanted to come...'
'Asuka was right: You're not a fighter. You'd just get yourself killed...'

The young man slammed his eyes shut, gripping the sides of his head and thrashing it side to side in an attempt to dismiss all of these thoughts. His first day of 'trying to save the multiverse,' and he's already dead weight? What did Red Hood even see in him? if he can't even save Earth from Instrumentality, what makes him think he could've stopped multiversal destruction? He could feel himself slump on the ground as he felt the hope slipping from his being, tears staring to well in his eyes and his hands drooping onto the ground. The only thing he could feel in that moment was the cold, unfeeling shape of a hand...

Asuka's.

That hand really was gone.

It's his fault she doesn't have it any more.

All because he did nothing.

Maybe he wasn't a fighter, but that didn't mean he couldn't help in other ways. Peering up above the bench, Shinji looked over at the twins, trying to take notice of anything important. Their clothes, maybe? Maybe their clothes would have something interesting on them....those necklaces, they both have the same kind, and it looks like they're...glowing? Glowing blue, more specifically, and the color is the same as the fire, and their eyes! Maybe if he can damage one of those somehow, he can make their powers more weak?

In a desperate bout to prove himself somewhat useful, Shinji scoured the ground to try and find something heavy-- Preferably something he could lift with one hand, while trying to stay clear of the embers that were dripping off of the flames surrounding the tent.

A realization made too late, as the duke continued his struggle against Rex. Simply attempting to harass the mind-controlled individuals was never going to suffice, and for that he wasted precus time.

"Bloody Izalith..."

Time that could have been spent keeping Toayi from taking over, as grim as it is. So he started dashing across the whole mess of praticualy hallow audience members towards Sage's location. So as it stood in conjunction with the maddening set of circumstances, not only do we have the twins to face father this, but also one pyromantic obsessed entity of fire. Orbeck has to forcefully take down Toayi regardless of his ill-sustained sorceries. There was one other who was attempting to deal with the onset of blue flames, the one that was called Kassandra. Who appears to be firing a few cold infused arrows. But this course of action, without cover from line of sight, leaves her exposed from behind. It would be too ideal for one such assassin pass up the opportunity.

The Lord Protector vanished in a plume of smoke.

Corvo materialized behind Kassandra. He drove the blade towards her neck.
And that is what is occurring at this moment. There was no guarantee Orbeck could prevent Corvos' attempt at a backstab, but even with those few seconds. He can do something. He casted another spell, one great heavy soul arrow. The most powerful variant of a soul arow. The strength and heft it carried Is more than certain to knock Corvao back, stun him perhaps. Fate will once again be the deciding factor for Orbeck's course of action.

Of course she'd hide behind the others. Of course she'd control them and make the group attack their own. If allowed, if his life was threatened, Clovis would do the something of the same. Yet Mabel being the one to hold the reigns burns him up inside like nothing else. It is he who deserves power over others. But she, someone so undeserving of any of this power, someone who hasn't clawed her way up to where she is like he did, still believes so highly of herself, making this a game for her own personal amusement, smiling all the same... and she taunts him.

No. She will pay for this insolence. She will know what true power is.

"The rest of you, clear a path for me. I'll deal with putting out the flame."

Clovis' voice is strong, demanding. Almost unshaken even when confronted with all the chaos that had broken out within the tent.

A mist begins to come out of Clovis' hand as he raises his palm and aims at Lobo. Stop the flame, they said. He'll do more than that. The mist flies out like a beam of thick fog and sails towards the man, if you could even call him that. If it hits, it would freeze those chains solid, hopefully extinguishing the flame in the process. That's not to say it can't be intercepted, though...

"Y-yeah, uh, actually, I, uh..."

Man, I'm going to feel so guilty for saying this... he's just such a nice guy.

"See, I... kinda..." My eyes start to drift off to the side, because I cannot look him in the eye when I tell him this next part. "...apparently... had my memories erased willingly... it was necessary to save the world and all... and I think I've already met the Pokemon who did it... he's kind of cool, actually... b-but I think you got everything else right..." I look up at him, starting to smile again, and a ding sounds in my mind as I get an idea. "You know what, though... I do have a pretty serious problem going on at the moment. If you really want to help out, stick around. You might get that opportunity eventually."

I glance back at the wall Dib tore a hole through. Seeing the light stream in is certainly welcome and so is the fresh air, but I've got a funny feeling whoever runs this place most likely wouldn't like having a hole in their establishment.

"You know, I should probably go fix that." I turn back to McSkirmish. "Maybe you can come and help me with that?"

Regardless of whether or not the pixelated guy helps, I eventually get that hole boarded up with a bunch of planks. Should be a decent enough fix until someone comes and patches up the wall for real. I proudly step back and admire my work. Always nice to be of assistance. That's the job of an explorer! Well, apart from the whole exploring thing. Speaking of assistance, though...

I look around. Just like I thought, it seems like I'm the only one of the team here. Lana went to go... steal something else, probably. Ugh, I hope she's not getting into trouble. Then there's that pinkish... reddish... thing with the goggles? No idea where they went, either. Well, with the hole patched up, I guess I can go ahead and play catch up. Best to go find the others and do what we set out to do, right? There was a good portion of the group determined to get into that tent even after that lady started beating up on the guard. Maybe I can start there.

I step out the front door into the open air and take a deep breath.

...Huh. Heavy... dusty... but not exactly either of those things. Air almost feels like it does every time something important is going on. As a matter of fact, it feels like I should hurry. I bring my sword, scabbard and all out from my belt.

"Hey, Scarfy," I tell my diamond-patterned scarf. "I'm going for a high-speed flight. Hang on tight."

I use Psychic to make my scarf nod its 'head' at me.

"Haha! Talking to myself again. I'm going insane," I giggle.

With that, I throw my sword up in the air, grab onto the hilt, and use my Psychic to make it fly forward, soaring high above the rest of Gravity Falls.

It's chaos. The group's fighting each other. Weapons are being swung, people are going all out. They need a hero. Someone to save them in their darkest hour. Enter...

"TALLY-HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"

I dive into the tent as a lavender blur! Right through the front entrance, right past the chained up and unconscious guard! I soar to the ground, and...

...tumble over myself like an idiot as soon as I hit the ground. I roll until I come up beside Raz, where I finally stop with my face buried in the dirt.

"...imrphhnr thph..."

I get up on my hind legs and pick up my sword, dusting my face off with my other paw. My eyes scan the whole tent. There's a really weird looking thing tied up in chains with a flame working its way up the chain... there's a lot of battling going on between the group. Something's super wrong here. There's gotta be some kind of mind control at work here. That's the only explanation I can think of. Those Gleeful Twins are standing up on stage looking so calm, even smug. They must be the ones behind this.

"Started the show without the star, huh?" I point my sword at the Gleeful Twins, grinning from ear to ear. "I'm all for seeing neat tricks, but I'm also a pretty big supporter of free will! You ever thought about asking nicely for others to do your bidding?"

I step in front of Raz.

"Hey, handspun milkshake. I just got here, but I think I get what's going on. You concentrate on that flame."

I spin my sword around and hold it in a reverse grip, my scarf flowing behind me.

"I'll handle the rest."

As things quickly erupt into chaos, Mabel watches it all with an all-too-innocent grin. This is everything she had hoped to witness. Simply pushing them all with nothing more than a few threats of genocide and hypnosis magic. For her, it had been as easy as taking candy from a baby, and now she gets to sit back and reap her rewards. As Marisa climbs onto the stage, she watches her. Intervening would ruin the fun, after all. The bottle shatters atop the fire. It disperses, diminishing the flame slightly... but it keeps going despite that. Only now, the flame was spread further across the stage. The tail of the curtain catches fire thanks to it, and very quickly it spreads out.

In Raz's case, there was luckily enough moisture in the tent for him to collect. But he very quickly finds out that it's not water he finds. Gravity Falls isn't a particularly humid town, after all. No... more than just the water he collects, he finds himself gathering the punch from both the bowl and the various plastic red cups of the tent guests. Guests who were still clapping and cheering despite the very real threat and fights surrounding them.

"H-hey!" Toby Determined is one of the guests affected by this. "That wacky child is taking our drinks!"

Only now does the crowd seem angry - and they're not afraid to let Raz know. One by one, they begin hurtling their cups at him, right after he throws the pinecone back at Sprig. Some of them even cheer Sprig on while simultaneously booing Raz. At least Taoyi's fires attack the walls of the tent, rather than Lobo's chains. It's a sight that annoys the war criminal and draws a muffled groan from him... but, well, Raz would probably have a hard time putting that out with non-alcoholic fruit punch. Still, it's enough to diminish her flame a little bit more... but all those cups hitting him at once, unfortunately, scuffed his aim a bit, so a good bit of it just wound up splashing off to the side.

Mabel pays no mind to any of that - other than an ever-growing grin. She eagerly breathes in the smoke and sighs as if it's put her on cloud nine. Her eyes follow the frozen arrows as they land on the stage's smaller flames. She successfully stops the dispersed ones in their entirety (which results in a curtain perfectly charred and burned down the middle), though the one attached to Lobo's chain is only halted a little bit more. His eyes widen and he lets out a disgruntled, muffled snarl as he sees it slow down. Almost desperately, he writhes within his chains, desperately rocking back and forth against the clamps and trying to fall over on top of them. He clearly doubts that they'll reach him in time. The rocking is even enough to outright shatter Clovis' ice. Not that it seemed to matter much. The ice hardly did much to stop the slowed, yet still ascending flame. It simply melted around it so it could keep pushing closer and closer to the monster.

"Uh oh!" Mabel finally speaks as she turns to face the one who had joined her on stage, Ryuji, and the boy who was waving off embers with a cardboard cutout of herself, Shinji. "I certainly hope you two will start speeding things up soon, because our little friend is getting rather impatient~!"

Her pendant shines as bright as her false smile, while the fire around her burns, and the crowd cheers her on.

The two forces collide in the middle of their trajectories, and both are stopped dead in their tracks. Rex grits his teeth as his fist struggles against Hershel's elbow, to no avail -- yet, Hershel's limb is also locked in stalemate.

To break it, Rex simply rears back and slams his head into Hershel's with all the force he can still muster.

When the tent erupted into chaos, Leo could only be thankful that he wasn't one of the ones targeted. Having the All-Seeing Eyes of the Gods fall into hands like that wouldn't bode well for anyone. He quickly dives into the crowd, using everyone's focus on one another and the fire to his advantage. Once he's certain that he's out of sight, he gets to work. His eyes slowly open and immediately take to scanning the stage. Okay... those twins are the source of this, that much is clear. He turns his head slightly to scan the fire. It's magic... putting it out through ordinary means won't work.

As Leo opens his mouth to respond, he's caught off guard by the sound of evil laughter filling the air. Before he knows it, the walls of the tent have erupted, practically trapping them in a burning hellscape. The crowd doesn't seem to react, but more than that, it's the source of this fire that scares him. Sage had been one of the names Mabel had called... but this is different from the others. The others maintained their personalities, or some had been put into almost catatonic, zombie-like states. But Sage... it was like a different person entirely inhabited his body. Someone crazy, someone almost like...

Leo slams his eyes shut and shakes his head as soon as the thought enters his mind. No... he thinks. No, he can't think of them. Not now.

He opens his eyes again, to try and scan Sage to confirm his suspicion. His eyes are met with a horrible light. It's an overwhelming presence - one that rivals some of the worst cases in Hellsalem's Lot. Leo grunts as he stares at him. His teeth grit as his right eye cracks from the pressure. Blood spurts out of his eye and runs down his cheek, coating it in a painfully familiar warmth. He winces, yet he keeps staring, letting his eyes do their work. They burn so terribly that he finds himself damn near panting, but he keeps it up. He just needs to suppress this presence, even a little... let Sage regain some of his control while Orbeck and Hershel keep him busy.

Toayi and Sage can feel it. An otherworldly presence invades the shared mind and begins clamping down around the former like a vice. Internally and externally, it feels like someone is trying to strangle him and drag him away from the forefront of his host's body. The harder Leo focuses, the more Toayi can feel his control slipping.

"C-come on..." he grunts through his attempts to suppress Toayi. His eyes continue to crack and split like shattering glass, causing more blood to leak onto his face. "Just... come on, Sage! Fight it...!"

Lana
While Lumi was still busy with the game guy, Lana couldn't help but find herself wandering off. Something compelled her to come back to the tent... She didn't think much of it though as it somehow felt right to her. Once she entered, she saw the commotion going on. People were fighting left and right. What did she miss? Her eyes glanced over at Mable who seemed to be looking right at her in return. At that moment, only one thing was on her mind. Protect that flame. She didn't know why and she didn't really care. She just knew it was something that she had to do... even if she wasn't much of a fighter.

That's when she noticed Lumi enter the tent. Lumi... she started to think of him as a friend at this point. She hasn't known him long, so why? She felt like she had some sort of connection to him... It didn't matter right now. She automatically assumed that he had come to protect the flame... only to see the exact opposite happen. She knows she needs to protect the flame, but still.... she isn't a fighter. Maybe she can convince him to stop? She stumbled over to him. As she stared at him, thoughts were racing through her mind.

Protect the flame. Stop him. Why? Is this what I want? Why does he remind me of him?

Him....

"You're not him..."

She muttered.

It clicked. The reason she felt so connected to Lumi. It was all because of him. She knew it never was... but the feeling of familiarity never left her. Was this friendship a lie? Did she only care because Lumi reminded her of him? Was she that desperate?? Deep down she was devastated just thinking about all this... but this also made things easier.

Her demeanor changed as she approached him. She reached behind her and grabbed the stick in her tail. As she pulled it out, it became clear that it was no ordinary stick. The handle was still that of a stick, but the rest that was hidden in her tail revealed itself to be a bat. Her plan of just talking things out completely left her mind as she ran towards him swinging the bat directly towards his head.

A familiar tendril rises.

It slithers from the ground, before tightly latching onto Blake's leg as Reverentia continues her assault. It doesn't seem to want to hold her entirely -- just make her lose her balance, for just a passing moment, hopefully enough for the strikes to land true.

"...This is not a fight you can win alone."

Even weakened, Veronica cautiously strides forward, approaching the pair with her eyes silver anew.

"It is... important to cooperate, isn't it?"

There is not much she can do -- not like this -- however she knows she cannot simply stand and let things happen around her. That has been the life she led for far too long. If she can be even a little proactive in a way she thinks might matter... how could she not?

Blake.png

Blake's assault is unrelenting, even under Reverentia's attempts at creating space between the two. There's less then a second between the kick and Blake closing the distance oncemore. Its only when her foot is grabbed by the tendril of magic that Blake is halted and finally takes a solid hit. Her aura flashed at the contact, reverberating across her entire body like a pebble dropped in a pond.

Her expression remained unchanged as she quickly changed tactics. Boosting out of the tendril with her Semblance, Blake transformed the thinner blade to its kusarigama form and dropped her grip down to the ribbon, quickly whipping it around her in a wide flurry of blades and bullets that targetted both Veronica and Reverentia.

It's no good. The flame making its way towards the lock can't be put out by way of ice, it seems. Even worse, as of right now, there seems to be an even bigger problem at hand; the whole tent is burning, and everyone inside is at risk of being burnt alive, courtesy of that foolish human pyromancer! Throwing out his fire spells so freely, being so joyful as he does it- has he lost his mind?! Sage, he'd been called. One of the victims of Mabel's mind control, but for some strange reason, it's evident he has no regard for the lives of the magicians, either! Maybe he'd be impressed by the boy's affinity for flame magic- if he wasn't caught in the crossfire! If somebody didn't do something, the boy would sooner end their lives than Mabel and her pet Lobo would!

"Someone deal with that idiot, before he kills us all!"

The mage turns his eyes back to the stage. He'd have to trust this fodder to do what they can to stop Sage, if that's even his name anymore. His eyes home in on the pendants that adorn them. For Mabel, the one in her headband- for Mason, the one on his collar. Are these humans truly getting their power from their surroundings... or are they drawing on another source, like Keidran often do? The half-fox, half-wolf concentrates as he pulls a dagger from the pouch on his hip, hiding it within his cloak. Just one teleport to get in close enough... maybe even an illusion or two. That's all he needs to take them for himself.

Unfortunately, the moment before he teleports is the crucial moment where he can be interrupted...

All the while, I'm still over here with Raz. Seems like he's... taking everyone's drinks? That's actually a genius idea! We could put out the fires with that! Unfortunately, the audience, too transfixed with the show to notice that their lives are in danger, are very unhappy about his plan.

As the cups are thrown Raz's way, the gem on my forehead glows. Every cup that gets close either halts in the air briefly before falling to the ground or circle around the both of us and land harmlessly behind Raz with a pathetic little 'thunk.' A proud smirk crosses my face.

"Please, don't interrupt the performers."

My moment is cut short, though, as a bat gets swung at me. I bring my sword up just in time to catch it, stopping it just short of hitting my head. I look up to find out who the offending party is, and it's...

Lana...?

"So they got you too, huh..."

I use Psychic to try and push her back. The smile remains plastered to my face.

"I really don't want to fight you guys for real, but I'll have to bring you to your senses somehow. And as the only Pokemon in this tent who's in the right state of mind, it's my job to do it!"

I gleefully yank my scarf from my neck, and a telekinetic force causes it to snake around me defensively.

"Ready when you are!"

When the first flame went out, Toayî hadn't been at all surprised that it had. It was always like this after all, always someone fighting back pointlessly. Humans didn't know how to accept the ultimate ending quietly... What an annoying species it was.

BUT THAT'S ALSO WHAT MADE IT oh, SO FUN TO TORMENT!

Uncaring for the fate of either audience or the others, the Concept of Fire seemed to watch the armored Greek like a predator observed prey; Studying the archer, the uncommon brand of arrows she carried... Until eventually, It is sick of merely observing and flaming arrows of Its own begin countering Kassandra's shots one by one, exploding their contents much earlier than their intended targets.

"You didn't think it was going to be
this easy
, did you...?"

The effort is commendable, after all, it would take a while to remove th layers of frost and reclaim lost territory, absolutely... But not impossible. The dent on the fire is not a threat at all to the Entity. My, it might as well just have let it be at the start to make it more interesting... More challenging! But now that the woman had her turn...

Its borrowed eyes glow and in response the spot of the ground right below the ancient warrior flashes in a bright blue light, erupting into a pillar of furious flames seconds later! Of course, it's a weak reaction, a test, if you will. Though it's very likely that such a distraction had only aided Corvo even more at sneaking behind the both of them.

How despicable!! The woman had already made It a challenge, how dare anyone else interrupt and steal ITS TARGET!!!!?

Toayî's outrage and contempt shows as every remaining fire in the area intensfied in accordance. Every.flame, meaning that Raz and company had an even harder time slowing it down for that period, the fragment dancing and flickering wildly; Challenging whichever willpower was attemping to hold it back!

And yet, the fools just kept coming. This time it was, some sort of mage whose Magic was similar enough to make his presence noticed... Barbarians, all of them! Have they not realized that It had been looking forward to a duel with the affronting woman?! Very well, if this is how they wanted it to be, then so it shall!!!

Raising a hand up high for the sake of theatrics, Toayî had attempted to take center-stage of the fight once more, about to make an announcement to the three thst stood in Its way-- And an even bigger nuisance had made themselves known. SOMEONE WAS PROBBING WHERE THEY SHOULDN'T!!!!

"NO!!"
, though easily taken as fear, the raw shout of the Entity was much more feral, possessive. THIS VESSEL WAS ITS AND ITS ALONE!!

More objects erupted as Toayî erratically trying locating the invasor. It is important to note that the Concept little cared for Mabel's commands or games and had been actually purposefully avoiding Lobo in a display of desobedience and jealousy.

That mutt does not deserve to get his way. That is an honor reserved to IT, the first and final flame, NO ONE ELSE!

"I'M NOT UNDERSTIMATING YOU AGAIN...!"

THERE IT WAS, the ant that had the potential to run everything! LEONARDO WATCH, was promptly assaulted with an ornate lance construct coated in even more flames! The aim though, wasn't the best, it was quick and mostly trying to break the boy's focus on whatever it is he was doing! That was dangerous, Toayî grit the vessel's teeth making a note to disrupt that the most as it could...

Too close, too soon.
The next shots would be aimed to impale and kill-!

"My, my... A full menagerie of
playthings
all lined up for the slaughter~"

"THEN
LET'S PLAY A GAME
, SHALL WE?!!

FOR HOW LONG CAN YOU DODGE MY FLAMES?!!!"

All around, as if the group had stepped into a field of geysers, spots of blue light up and then erupt one after the other in random arrangement. If they were watching they might be able to dodge and continue doing so in order, but if not... Well, that wasn't Its problem now, was it?

Oh and It seems to be preparing about twenty more of those lances, all floating overhead behind the vessel. So probably start watching out for those as well~

"AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA DANCE
, YOU MONKEYS!
DANCE FOR ME!!!!!!"

Mentions: ...

"Bullseye!" Sprig pumps his fist up once the pinecone hits Raz, which serves as a good enough distraction to let it hit him back once it was thrown at him. "Hweh-"

This makes him lose his footing and fall backwards from the chair he was on. He rubs a hand on the back of his head once taking a stance again. "Man, these things actually hurt. Who would have guessed."

The frog's thoughts were cut quite short after meeting with the sight of a whole mob cheering him on and fighting against this invader. He blinks at first, dumbfounded, but inevitably decides to embrace it. "Huh. Alrighty then."

Walking forward, he waves to the crowd, bowing every once in a while. He even puts up a little showsman voice to go along with it. "Thank you, thank you, my loving fans." He has no idea who these guys are. "Now, let's get down to business! Hup."

Hopping upwards, along with a little spin, Sprig reaches for even more pinecones that were stored inside his vest, firing them towards Raz to clutter up the cloud of projectiles thrown at him even more.
