HELLA QUEER

Our story begins in the mountains of Forella. Atop one of the largest, sits the castle of the Royal family Cattaneo. The castle is busy this morning as servants prepare for the arrival of their guests from neighboring kingdom, Scela. (And rivaling might I also add). There was much gossip and chatter about the visiting Royal Family. What were they like? Were they as rough and uncivilized as tale said? Would they show up in old clothes that were in desperate need of washing? And what would they think of Forella? The weather in the Mountains during the summer was pleasant, but could also get rather hot. Would these folk from the valley be able to handle it? So much excitement within the walls had the common folk giddy. Our Royal Families however? Well let's see how they were feeling about the situation.

King Anthony Thomas Cattaneo of Forella

The King found it hard to sleep the night prior. So much ran through his head as the hours ticked by. More than once, Anthony got up from bed to pace around and speak his thoughts aloud. "You mustn't say anything to offend the King. Peace is dependent on this union. But then again, you mustn't let him think he can walk all over you either. And be polite to the Queen...But not too polite you don't want her or the King to get the wrong idea." You get the picture. To say the King did not sleep well would be an understatement. He hoped that his wife Josselyn was able to get better sleep than himself. She was much better in social situations than he was and Andrew needed her to be on her toes for this morning. The Scelans were to show up just before breakfast, and they were all to dine together as a welcome. And as the run rose above the horizon, Anthony knew that after today, nothing would be the same.

He quickly got out of bed and dressed in some of his finest clothes. A fine, velvet red tailcoat with gold embroidery to show off his national pride; nice black slacks accompanied the coat and he finished it off with a very fluffy, and very white cravat. He placed a simple gold crown with rubies atop his head. (As simple as a gold crown with rubies can be). He did not want to intimidate the foreign king with his riches just yet. Although it was common knowledge that the Forellan kingdom was very wealthy and the Canttaneo Family enjoyed flaunting their wealth. Anyways. Once he was dressed, Anthony made his way towards his study to finish up a few documents before the Scelans arrived. Also to calm his nerves so he wouldn't spontaneously combust during breakfast.

Princess Rosaline Miriam Adler of Scela

Rosaline was tired. Tired of riding in the uncomfortable carriage, tired of her annoying translator, but most importantly, tried of thinking about this stupid wedding. It was all that the poor Princess could think about as of the past few weeks. Preparing for the journey to Forella was anything but pleasant. She had servants down her neck every second of the day, and the incessant reminders from her mother to behave herself and make a good impression. All Rosie wanted to do was say "Screw the Prince! I'm adjudicating my throne and moving to Switzerland!" (Whatever Switzerland is) But alas, she could not abandon her family nor her people. It was her duty, as Crown Princess of Scela, to marry this Prince and bring peace to their kingdoms. But how she loathed the thought of it! It made her blood boil and her heart sink to think that for the rest of her life, she'd be stuck in a loveless, arranged marriage to the Prince of a kingdom whom her kingdom has fought with for centuries. And then she thought of her lady in waiting, Aria Mellows. Just the thought of the redhead made Rosie's heart grow soft. How she loved Aria. She loved the way her curly hair framed her face just perfectly. And how beautiful and mysterious her brown eyes were. Rosie loved how Aria's eyes softened when they were alone; when it just the two of them, out of prying eyes and they both could truly be themselves. But reality set back in as the carriage hit a particularly large rock that sent Rosie flying out of her seat, and onto the floor. She groaned in annoyance as she lifted herself up and back onto the bench. She would have a strong word with the footman when this was all done. Soon the carriage came to a stop, and Rosie didn't know if it because the horses needed water, or if they had finally arrived. But when she saw the footman open the door, and the large castle outside, Rosie knew. It was time. And her life would never be the same.

Prince Alaric Callan Dante Reeves of Scela

The days leading up to the Scelan Royal Family's trip were uneventful for Alaric. Sure everyone was busy making sure they had things prepared and the kingdom would be okay while they were away. But none of that involved him, it was mainly just his parents and his sister. He did manage to say farewell to his friends in the town as well as the noble friends he had. It took some persisting to get his parents to agree to bring his favorite stallion, Stormbringer, along with them. The horse was pure black, with a silky looking mane and tail. The hair around its' hooves were alittle long but not too long. Stormbringer was a magnificent beast of a great royal bloodline.

Alaric sighed and looked out the carriage window to watch the scenery as it passed them by. Out of no where the carriage hit something and it sent his sister flying out her seat and onto the floor. He stifled a laughed as she helped herself up. It wasn't like he was making fun of her, it was just the fact how she just suddenly flew out her seat. It was funny. Not long afterwards, the carriage came to a stop and a footman opened the door for them. First Rosaline stepped out, then he stepped out followed by his parents. So this was the kingdom of Forella? Impressive.

Asher Cassius Denvor

Asher would like to see what Princess Rosaline looked like, all he had to go off of was what his good friend, the prince, had told him about her. The Scelan family should be arriving today to have breakfast with Hugo, Miriam and their parents. The young male readjusted his long bows' string and picked up another arrow. He took his time with putting the arrow in it's proper place and aiming. He took a deep breath and let it out before letting the string go. Within moments he heard a loud thud of the arrow striking it's mark. Pleased with himself he looked over at the perch he had built for Dandelion. "See there? I'm getting better at this. How many can boast having a arrow shot in the same spot as the one before it?" He gleamed with pride as his falcon made a noise.

Asher thought if his pal could talk he'd probably tease him and shut him down. But then again he might have agreed...right? He picked up another arrow, but didn't place it in the groove on the bow. "The Scelans should be here by now. I wonder how Hugo is doing?" He paused for a moment, before putting the arrow back in it's pouch. "There should be some time before breakfast is served. I can use it to meet up with Hugo maybe." Asher raised his arm with it's leather glove and whistled for Dandelion to come hither.

After he returned Dandelion to his post (Coop/cage/house), he made his way over to castle.

Queen Josselyn Nerida Cattaneo of Forella
Josselyn went to sleep very late that night. She was taking care of everything regarding the Scelan royal visit and she needed things to be perfect. Nothing less than that simply wouldn't suffice. The food, the decorations, clothing, her children. Everything had its place and order and Josselyn wouldn't have it any other way. She was no strict ruler that the maids were afraid of, not at all. She simply had her way of talking to people that they completed every task, every wish to perfection because they simply didn't want to disappoint their queen. It was the same now, when they were expecting the Scylan royal family. Josselyn took her time with instructions and when she finally got to bed, her husband Anthony was already sleeping. Being tired from all day of preparations, Josselyn fell asleep very fast. When she woke up, Anthony was gone. She knew how nervous and anxious he was about the visit and she decided to give him a bit more time with himself before she went looking for him. She took her sweet time with morning bath and dressing up. She went for Forellan colors, after all, it was an important occasion. Her red and gold dress were complimenting her complexion perfectly and the maid has done an exquisite job on her braided hair. Josselyn gave the girl a smile and took one last look in the mirror. 'The crown for the queen.' she though as she was putting her golden crown with rubies embedded all around, on her head. She and Anthony truly were the perfect couple.

Only then Josselyn went to find her husband. She knew exactly where to go. The Queen entered the study and there he was. Love of her life. Her husband and King. "You have woken up awfully early my dear." she said as she approached him and laid her hands on his shoulders. "Did you even get enough sleep for today? You know how important it is." Josselyn was not really excited about marrying her son to some girl they have never seen. And she fully understood Hugo's distaste to this decision. But the decision has been made and she needed to be the proper Queen and accept it. "I suggest we go get ready. We do want to be there before our guests arrive, isn't that so, my love?" Josselyn was speaking in very soothing tone, hoping her husband would get at least a little bit calmer.

Tianna Odette Gardiner
When she heard she was about to travel to Forella with the royal family, Tianna almost fainted. It has always been her dream to see that kingdom. Sure, she realized that they were the enemies of Scela but Tianna was that kind of very good-natured person and she has always seen the best in everyone. And therefore, she expected the Forellans not to be that awful people as everyone in Scela was describing them. Though the even was not very fortunate. Rosie was her best friend and she only wanted the best for her. And this arranged marriage to a prince from the enemy kingdom was not really the way. But Tia couldn't say anything, it wasn't really her place to do so, even though she has been a part of the royal court of Scela ever since she was a little girl. She was no princess. All she could do was to accompany her best friend and make sure that the stay was as pleasant as it could be.

Tianna had no idea but was dying to know how Rosie felt. The girls were not traveling in the same carriage since Tia was no royal but as soon as the carriages stopped, she was ready to get off. After she did, she saw that Rosie and her parents and brother were already out. Tianna shuddered a little. She underestimated the weather and all she was wearing was light blue dress. And now they were in mountains. Well, for her stupidity, she had to pay now. And most of all, she had to keep the decorum, not rub her arms and shudder. Goosebumps immediately appeared all over her body but Tianna put on her serious face and withstood everything. But inside, she was rejoicing. Finally, for the first time ever, she had the opportunity to see Forella. And despite what everyone said, what Tianna saw was simply magical. It was such a strong experience that she even forgot about her goosebumps and almost giggled. 'Well, once Rosie gets married, I have to ask her to get me some nice husband as well.' Tia giggled in her mind. No, she wasn't stupid, just whimsical. And very much determined to find the love of her life. Maybe even in Forella.

Aria Mellows
(Lady-In-Waiting to princess Rosaline)

DciotrRX0AAMH5w.jpg

Aria let out a half-hearted sigh, resting chin in the palm of her hand, elbow leaning on the window of the carriage as she rolled her eyes and winced at yet another bump in the road, she hated this. This carriage, This marriage, This whole darn thing. The flames of anger flickered in her eyes as she clenched her teeth at the thought before taking in a breath and letting her tensed shoulders relax a little, no- she had to be proper, and hey on the bright side! she'd.... always be Rosaline's lady-in-waiting, no matter what.

But how her heart ached at the thought of seeing her beloved every day with some man she knew the other would never really love, how she yearned to be able to take her away from all this, just the two of them, to run away!- but alas, doing that would not only have them hunted down, it would mean a great war between kingdoms... And one Scela was more than likely to fall at. Her father had always served the kingdom with honor, and still would whilst they were away on this trip. The kingdom was his sworn duty, and he'd made her promise before leaving that it was hers too.

However her thoughts were snapped from mind as they suddenly arrived at their destination, almost face-planting at the sudden stop and letting out a loud "oof-" at the jerking movement in the tight, red dress she was being forced to wear, to represent the beauty of their kingdom blah blah blah. It was tight and uncomfortable, that's what she thought it represented.

Stepping out of the carriage after Tianna she looked around quickly for the one thing making this trip worth while, her gaze wide eyed and like a lost child before settling on Rosaline, ignoring the grand spectacle of a place before them almost entirely. Moving forwards with a smirk and hands on hips she chuckled, 'Well, well. If it isn't a sight for sore eyes!- My lady~' she teasingly signed, after all it wasn't exactly the tone she was meant to take in public, but she couldn't help a little mischief, and it wasn't like anyone would know.

However her smirk faded and brows furrowed as she spotting a darkening splotch on the princess's wrist, reaching out she hesitantly grabbed it before reminding herself it was her duty to look after her- in this situation holding a hand would be allowed. 'How did this happen? Are you alright?' she signed, letting go of the others hand to do so. Eyes softening with worry.

King Alexander Reeves II Of Scela

Alexander sat across from his wife in the carriage with a sullen and serious expression, brows furrowed as he stared out the window at the passing landscape. This arrangement meant everything to his kingdom, to protect from war, to gain valuable trade routes, to unite two battling kingdoms once and for all. And it all this heavy decision rested on his and his children's shoulders. For them to marry not for love like himself, but for safety, to fulfill a role most royals would be expected to. But a piece of his heart ached that he was one of the lucky ones.... Looking over at his wife, gaze finally broken he let out a soft smile and hearty chuckle.

Reaching out and grabbing her hand in his own as he lent forwards, "To think they've grown up so fast, and now we're expected to marry them off. Just yesterday I remember learning from the servants how to change them, now this." he let out shaking his head a little in disbelief, "I do hope they will be good." his voice was strong and confident, but something in his expression showed through the worry and guilt inside. Something he knew he'd have to battle for a long, long time. Or at the very least till this whole first meeting was over and done with.

As the carriage arrived he stepped out before waiting a moment and turning back, offering a hand to aid his wife in stepping down with a smile. His gaze focused on Rosaline in the distance, after all, this all rested on her, however- he did hope she'd truly love who she was paired with.

One bump. Two bumps. Several dozen more. For so long she had planned for this day, even down to what she’d wear for the trip, but not once did Isabella take into consideration the discomfort she might feel on the journey. Between the carriage’s constant rocking and the inability to lay down and stretch, she considered this punishment for something she’d done in the past. Perhaps she drank too much one day or was unnecessarily rude to someone. Whatever the reason, she’d been cramped into this carriage with her family for too long. Yet despite her discomfort and her desire to be anywhere else, Isabella never voiced her feelings. Her husband was worried about their eldest child and her future husband. Her daughter was worried over the same things. How could she dare to complain when Rosie had far greater concerns.

As they traveled through the unfamiliar lands, Isabella kept eyes on her holy book. From time to time she parted the pages and read a verse or two, hoping for a long enough distraction that she’d forget about the passage of time. She wanted to converse with her loved ones, but they all seemed preoccupied with their own thoughts. Did Alaric miss his friends in Scela? Was Rosie plotting to runaway? Was the King considering war over peace? It was only the sudden meeting of their eyes and the warmth of his hand that broke her concentration. As her attention went from the old pages to the handsome face, she smiled warmly. Isabella could read Alex like this book. Right away she could see he was worried and as he spoke of times long gone, she was reminded of her duty as his wife and Queen.

As the carriage jostled the royal family around one more time and Rosie fell from her seat, Isabella finally looked up from her book. She sighed heavily and shook her head. Now wasn’t the time to scold or lecture her, she had enough on her plate.

When the sound of hooves upon stone finally stopped, Isabella felt as if she’d been saved, forgiven for whatever wrong she’d committed in the past. One by one she watched her family exit the carriage, until it was her turn. Her soft hand slid into Alexander’s as she stepped out into the light, sun beaming into her brown eyes and illuminating her powdered skin. She stepped down to stand beside her King. “We have raised strong, brilliant children.” Isabella whispered in his ear. “And if they ever need help or have questions, they have one another, and us to come to.” Her lips gently pressed against his cheeks as she continued to hold his hand in her own. They couldn’t go into this meeting with such gloomy expressions and thoughts of doom. Looking around at where they were. Forella was certainly more extravagant than Scela. In some way it reminded her of Osorio.
