It was finally over. Naraku was defeated and everyone could go back to their lives. Inuyasha, the hanyou who had a hand in defeating the dreaded Naraku, had returned to their little village in Edo, along with his comrades, Miroku and Songo, who upon arriving home had gotten married and started their family and Kagome, whom soon after had also mated. Surprisingly Even little Rin had taken to and stayed with their little group. It was peaceful. Everything was perfect.
At least for them..
"Looord Sesshomaaruuuuu!" the little green imp exclaimed as he scurried down the hall of the great mansion and inevitably tripped over his own little feet.
After Naraku's demise, Sesshomaru had finally returned home to the west lands to claim his place as rightful heir to the thrown and Alpha of his (ever large) pack. Since then, he had been doing nothing but reconstructing and building his lands as he saw fit. Alone. As usual. Well, that is if you count having Jaken in his ear all day.
It had been five years after Naraku's death. Five years that Sesshomaru had claimed his place as alpha and it was about time for him to choose a mate. A alpha female to mate with and rule by his side; and most importantly, to have pups. However, the idea of mating was out of the question for the mighty dog demon. Why? Well..because simply no one was good enough. No one was worthy to be by the side and bare the pups of the great Sesshomaru.
Until...
It was early summer. The sun was high and hot, the grass and trees where lush and green, and the many demons of the land where savage and rambunctious as ever. Sesshomaru was on his monthly patrol of his lands which usually took him a couple of weeks to complete. By nightfall he had decided that everything was in tact when he found a clearing and decided to relax and indulge in one of his favorite activity's...star gazing, followed by a heaping helping of staring off into space(literally) which was common for the great lord. He had sat and gazed for what seemed to be hours when suddenly "Hn.." his eyes swiftly flicked towards the direction of where he smelt.....
'Arrrooooo!!'...
