Fantasy Hotel California

The elevator Kieran was on went to a stop. It wasn't his wanted floor though. The elevator door slowly opened, an unknown girl appearing as it opened. She walked in. The door closing behind her.

Misaki was only focused onto her book, which was in her hands. Thick rimmed glasses was on her eyes as she read, as if scanning, the book. Misaki did not speak, only elevator music accompanying them. Misaki sends a tiny glance to Kieran but then adverts her eyes back on her book. Thoughts form in her mind, giving her paranoia. Who is he? I don't know. He might be a rapist. Misaki sends a glance at Kieran, she takes a quite bit of time of scanning his face to see if he looks like a rapist. Misaki was too fumbled into her thoughts and her books, forgetting to press the button to go to the lobby.

"I'm Sawyer. I was just on my way to find some water but then this name plate caught my eye. You wouldn't happen to know somewhere to relax here would you?"

Celeste couldn't help but smirk. The name plate always did exactly as intended; Catch eyes, get guys. And every guy that stopped here always seemed to be putty in her hands, though she didn't like to think of things that way. "A place to relax, huh? How about my room?" Celeste put on her best smile - Which seemed to differentiate from her smirk of pride greatly. "Or maybe you'd prefer the roof... It's got a nicer view. You can see the desert hills from there... It's beautiful."

Something seemed a bit wrong about mentioning the desert there. Maybe she should have said the road?

Tskuni & Tai

Tskuni bounced out of the car, his tarantula, Bubbles, standing on his head and an obviously exhausted Tai behind him. "Wow, Tai! Have you seen anything this big and fancy before? I sure haven't!" He said excitedly with a huge grin on his face. "It's a little fancier than I'm used to, but I think I'll manage." He added thoughtfully, taking Bubbles off his head gently. "Hey, Tai? You don't think they'd mind Bubbles, do you?" He asked with a frown as he gently pet the fuzzy arachnid. "It's not as if he's really dangerous."

"I haven't got a clue, Tskuni. I've never been here before." Tai said, replying to the only thing he had actually heard Tskuni say. As he got closer, he took a look at the hotel and stared in awe. "Damn . . . it is fancy." He said in amazement, going to put his arm around Tskuni's shoulders, before remembering Bubbles was in his hands. "Well, c'mon. Let's go inside." He sighed, walking with Tskuni into the large, fancy hotel.

Ari sat in the lobby. She was having no chance of talking to that jerk again. She just wanted to meet new people. She sighed and looked around. Suddenly, the door opened, revealing a guy with bold hair and blue eyes. She smiled. "Sup." She said. She then noticed the large arachnid. "Nice pet" She said, only a tiny bit frightened.

Tskuni & Tai

Tskuni looked up at the girl, "Oh, hello! I just got here obviously. My name's Tskuni." When she mentioned the fuzzy arachnid, a cute beaming smile appeared on his face, "Thanks! Her name is Bubbles." He said, petting her back again. "She's really soft and she's a total sweetie!"

"And only a little bit terrifying and gross." Tai said, walking up behind him with a small smile. "I'm Tai, by the way," he nodded, introducing himself.

Tskuni stuck out his tongue at Tai, "She's not gross or scary, you jerk. She's a cutie." He grumbled before putting out his hands towards Ari, getting Bubbles closer to her. "Do you wanna hold her?" He asked, still beaming at her.

"Hi, Tskuni. Hi Tai." Ari said. When he offered to let her handle here, she shook her head. "I'm fine. Thanks for the offer though." She said. She smiled. "My name's Ari. It's nice to meet you." She said. She looked at Tai. He looked kind of cute. She crossed her arms. "How did you come here with a kid that likes arachnids if you hate them?" She asked.

Walter stood up and walked away towards the hotel lobby after he dressed up. That was enough. That hotel was tearing his hair out, making him go insane. All that people were just making him more mad, and all that he wanted was a little bit of peace and quietude, and all that he got was noise and fake smiles and laughter from the exact kind of people that he hated. This was the most cheap and luxurious hotel he had ever spent half a day in. But now it was time to finish this. It was being a waste of time, and the best was for him to head to Minnesotta as soon as possible. Hopefully he would go out of all of this unpunished, maybe retire, buy a house in Hawaii. Screw this daydreaming. He walked towards the reception and rang the bell. "Excuse me, who do I talk to if I want to make my check-out?"

Tskuni & Tai

Tai smiled his charming smile, "A pleasure to meet you." He pondered for a moment on her question, pursing his lips in thought. "It's a long story, but Tskuni's my best friend. I wouldn't ditch him just because he has that." Tai explained, pointing to Bubbles with a look of obvious disdain. "Plus, isn't he just the cutest little one?" He said, leaning his skinny figure over Tskuni from behind and pinching his cheeks with a laugh.

"Hey! Don't do that!" Tskuni said, sticking out his tongue. "Or I'll put Bubbles in your bed tonight!" He threatened with a mischevious grin, knowing that it would scare Tai. "Are you sure you don't want to pet her, Ari?" He asked, his blue eyes wide. "She's almost completely harmless!"

Tai sneered at Bubbles, "Yeah, harmless." He moved so he was beside Tskuni, but still kept one eye trained on Bubbles. "And stop trying to make people hold that thing, it's just, ick!" He shuddered.

Xavier displayed mild surprise at Walter's question. "Already? I'm sorry sir, but it's much too late tonight to allow anyone to leave. The valets that park the cars are all off the clock for now. I'm sure a man of reason such as yourself would understand?" He spoke calmly and truthfully to Walter, maintaining a passive expression. "Regardless, you look rather tired and there isn't a hotel within miles of here. I'd suggest that you spend the night, at the very least. Maybe relax by the pool or grab a drink at the bar..." Xavier paused a moment before adding, with a hint of clever pride, "You're not likely to find any hotel like this one again in this lifetime."

"No, it's fine." Ari said. She smiled and looked at Tai. "Your very loyal." She said. She giggled a bit at there fighting. "You too seem close." Ari said. She wanted to get some positive outlook from this day. At the least they were acquaintances, for now. She was surprised that they hadn't commented on her tattoo yet. Most people were sacred of her.

Tskuni & Tai

Tai smiled again at Ari, "What can I say? The little one grew on me." He chuckled, ruffling the small one's hair, making him stick out his tongue again. "We've known each other for quite some time now." He said, his eyes seeming to stare off before he shook his head.

"Yeah, even though he's kind of a jerk sometimes, he can be pretty cool." Tskuni admitted, tossing blonde hair out of his eyes. "I just don't like that he's constantly ditching me for girls he meets!" He said with a sigh. "And he meets so many-"

Tai clamped a hand over Tskuni's mouth with a nervous laugh, "So many boring women." His smile twitched as Tskuni tried to lick his hand off. "I mean it's so rare that I meet such an interesting one like yourself." He winked, like the charmer he was, and let go of Tskuni's mouth, who looked at the floor and rolled his eyes.

The sound of the voice from the attendant echoed through Walter's mind like a sleeping pill. The voice of the man was soothing... As if all the peace in the world was kept inside that frequency. When he got there, Walter wanted to complain, to say "no" to the world one more time, but something in that man just made him think "why not?". His anger was no longer there, but he knew that coming back to his room was calling out for a nightmare. Going to the pool? As if he was still one of those young dumb kids that would just get wasted and to stupid stuff. He was trying to cut the booze, so going to the bar wasn't an option either. So why was he still wanting to stay? It was like something in that place was calling out for him, seducing him. "I have a flight to Minnesota tomorrow, but I guess I can stay a little bit until the morning". He looked back at the hotel lobby. "This place still gives me the creeps, though. But thanks for the kindness, we'll see each other in the morning".

Ari rolled her eyes slightly. "Nice one smooth moves. What else you got up your sleeve?" Ari said. She sighed. If he started doing more she would flip him over, which probably wouldn't like much. She looked at him. She was testing him, to see how far he wanted to pester her. He was cute, but if he wanted a one night stand, she wasn't going to have it.

"... Oh youve gotta be kidding me." Dante saw the whole thing over his shoulder. He couldnt hear, but based on the actions of that grumpy guy walter.... he knew that dude wanted out. Dantes suspicions were right. Something was off about this place. How can a dude slam his hand on the counter and demand to check out, then the next second be convinced to stay in the lobby. That X guy... he knew that dude was dangerous. Dante shook his head... he was going to sneak out tonight, cross the desert, and get his car. Itd be easier this time, he had plenty of water... so soon it would be sayonara suckers. He knew he wouldnt be able to convince the others, so itd just be him.

Xavier nodded politely to Walter. Convincing him had been easier than expected, but it would take a bit more than that to keep him from leaving. "If you would like, I can have your car ready for you by the time you check out tomorrow morning. What does it look like? Or, if you'd rather I can call for a taxi?" The latter wasn't truly an option, but Xavier was quite certain he'd seen Walter arrive in a car of his own.

Tskuni & Tai

"Do you really want to know?" Tai grinned with a wink before laughing and tossing his hair. "Sorry, sometimes I can't help myself." He explained, his smile not faltering. "By the way, do you know if they mind pets being here? I mean, as much as I don't like that thing, I wouldn't want Tskuni to throw a fit." He said, pointing to Bubbles.

Tskuni frowned, letting Bubbles climb up his arm and onto his shoulder so he could cross his arms. "I do not throw fits." He grumbled, pulling on a piece of Tai's black hair.

"They seem ok with everything. I have seen huge bottles of vodka and now a tarantula so I think there ok with it." Ari said. She looked at his hair. 'It... looks... so... fluffy...' She thought. She resisted the urge to touch in and instead said "Surprised that you haven't noticed the tattoo." She said, raising an eyebrow.

Tskuni & Tai

"Vodka?" Sighed Tai, a grin growing on his face. "Ah, I've gotta find me some of that!" He said giddily. Not noticing another one of Tskuni's eye rolls. "I have some stories of nights with big bottles of vodka."

Tskuni looked up at Ari, "He really does love his vodka and it is funny to watch." He smirked. Once she mentioned her tattoo, he leaned in closer, "I was going to ask about it, but Tai said it's rude to bring up characteristics with new people," he explained with a shrug. "Are they tear drop tattoos? Did you kill someone?" He asked with excited looking eyes, while Bubbles slowly climbed back onto his head.

Ari laughed. She smiled. "Yes, there teardrops but I have never killed anyone." Ari said. She giggled again. "I would love to see your different characteristic. But if it's anything that will lead to a one night stand, I will punch you." Ari said, her face serious. She curved her frown into a smile, the edges of her mouth curling upwards.

Tskuni & Tai

Tai put on his most innocent air, "Me? Try and get a girl in bed? Why, I never heard such a thing! I would never." He fake gasped, putting a hand over his chest. "Not even to a girl as pretty as you." He leaned in, just close enough so Ari could see him flutter his eyelashes. Tskuni giggled quietly, putting a hand over his mouth. Sometimes it was fun to just watch Tai's flirty attitude in action. "Are you sure you haven't killed anyone? Because you're drop-dead gorgeous." He risked one more little flirtatious joke, hoping to at least get a laugh.

"Does Bubbles count as a characteristic? 'Cause if not, I don't think I have any." Tskuni said with a pout, finally thinking of an answer to Ari's question.

Ari shoved his face away, laughing. "You sure are weird. But then again, I'm weird to." She said, smiling. "And maybe. Depends on how you view it." Ari said. She liked this kid, then again, he hadn't seen her other side yet. She had a totally different feel on the inside than she had never showed anyone. Ever.

Tskuni & Tai

"Weird, charming, lovable. It's odd how all those words coincide with each other." Tai grinned charmingly before looking down at Tskuni, who was starting to look tired. "I'm going to have to put him to bed soon..." He said quietly, more to himself than to either of the others. "If you don't mind waiting while I get us a room, would you like to get a drink? Get to know each other a little?" He suggested, smiling in a more friendly way, rather than his usual 'I'm-Going-To-Get-You-In-My-Bed' smile.

"Sure, drink sounds great." Ari said. She smiled. She was over 18, so she though it was fine. She giggled a bit. 'Hope you get one down from mine. I'm on the 8th floor. I am going to change and I will meet you in the bar." Ari said. She smiled, waved and walked towards the elevator. She pressed the button and went up to her room. She opened her closet and chose a long dress.

Ari walked down to the bar, sitting at an empty stool. She felt silly in a dress, but it was kind of fun.

Tskuni & Tai

Tai purchased a room and took Tskuni to it, despite the little one's fussing. "You really do need some sleep, it's been a long day, okay?" He said, putting all their bags in the closet while Tskuni set up Bubbles habitat on the night stand. "And before you say it, no I am not trying to get Ari in bed. She just seems nice." He said, reading Tskuni's face. He got dressed into a pair of comfortable, but nice black jeans and a loose white sweater, knowing his previous outfit was a little bit sloppy. Ruffling Tskuni's hair, he smiled down at him. "Don't be up when I get back, you really do need to sleep." He said, walking towards the door. "Night, Tskuni."

"Good night, Tai. Don't get too drunk." Tskuni smiled, curling up under the covers as Tai went down to the bar to meet Ari.

Ari looked around and spotted Tai. She waved at him and turned back to the front. She was excited. She had never meet anyone who wanted to stick around her this long. She sighed a bit, thinking of what her inner side was. She quickly replaced her momentary frown with a smile and waited for Tai to come over.
