Max nodded slowly kissing his cheek and cuddling up to him "I love you babe, I hope you know that." She murmured

Charlie sighed softly cleaning up his mess before he made his way up to her. However he was stopped when he ph9ne started going off. He went over to check who it was and frowned seeing a private number "Hello?" He muttered down the line

“You have no idea what you’re taking to bed every night. She’s a liar and a con! Just remember that next time she plays the cute act.” The voice told him down the line before hanging up.

Jeff smiled and nodded watching her tiredly. “I love you too beautiful.... I was so lost before you came into my life and I know it’s cheesy but it’s true.” He murmured.

Mac gave a soft laugh and smiled happily cupping his cheek gently "You are something else you know that?" She asked sighing happily "Do you ever think you'll marry again?"

Charlie frowned some and hung up as well shaking his head before he made his way up to bed holding Carmen as he layed down falling asleeo quickly

He looked over at her and shrugged. “I don’t know.... I just... I’m not ready to if I will.” Be mumbled sighing quietly as he watched her.

she woke up in the morning yawning some and sitting up, smelling coffee and juice and breakfast already, just smiling to herself a little when she heard him coming upstairs. “Breakfast in bed? What’s the occasion?” She smiled at him.

Max nodded some and gave a soft frown "I understand." She said softly kissing his cheek softly yawning some "I love you Jeff."

Charlie shook his head smiling a bit "No special reason, just wanted to make you something." He said happily kissing the top of her head before he placed the food down

Carmen smiled tiredly at him and shook her head. “You’re too sweet... what are we gonna do for your birthday this year? You got double threes.” She grinned, pecking his cheek, frowning when she noticed his fingers were a little twitchy. “You okay? You struggling?”

Lana got home after her friends mom dropped her off and went into the kitchen, giving Dex love and attention before turning to max. “Hi mommy.”

Charlie shrugged some "Not sure, we'll figure something out though." He murmured sighing heavily when she asked how he was "Someone called you last night....private number."

Max smiled some at her as she made herself a drink "Hey princess, how was Amber's?" She asked sweetly

She shrugged a little and went over hugging her tightly, pulling a chair out and sitting on it. “It was good.... is daddy home?” She asked her.

she frowned looking at him some. “Who’s calling you with a private number?” She asked him quietly.

Max nodded smiling softly "He is, he is feeding the animals their dinner." She said softly ruffling her hair a bit "Ive got some leftover pizza for you."

Charlie shook his head frowning more "They called your phone, I answered and they said you were a liar....and a con. Why would someone say that about you?"

She frowned some and shook her head. “We’ve all done stuff we are t proud of.... I broke a home up once.... I knew I was doing it and I still took that guy away from his kids and ruined his life... and when he turned around and left me for some other woman, I almost got him fired.... so he sued me for defamation and won and I lost everything, ended up on the street because my family wouldn’t take me back in... I ended up with a record for soliciting and dealing because I was doing what I could to get by and eventually I got lucky, I met the right person who was able to get me a job and a roof over my head and took a chance on me and I’ve been finished with that life for a very very long time... I don’t talk about it because I’m not that person anymore.” She explained to him slowly, appreciating that he was just letting her talk and take her time.

she nodded and waited for her dinner. “How come daddy wouldn’t let me stay over at ambers? All the other girls are staying over cause they’ll go to school with amber in the morning.” She grumbled a bit.

Max frowned some and gave a heavy sigh "Oh sweetie, because its a school night and we want to make sure you get to bed." She said softly kissing the top of her head gently

Charlie listened to her intently frowning and giving a heavy sigh nodding a bit "And I believe you, I know you aren't that kind of woman." He said quietly stroking her cheek gently "You aren't in trouble are you?" He asked softly

She smiled at him shaking her head “not anymore.... you can still find my mugshots online somewhere.” She murmured, pouring a little coffee and passed him the mug. “So the private number was possibly my brother still trying to get me to cave and give him money.” She muttered sighing a little and shaking her head.

she crossed her arms and looked at her. “But all the other girls in the xlsss are there. It’s not fair. Daddy’s stupid.” She muttered.

Max frowned shaking her head some as she looked at Lana "No your daddy is not stupid Lana. I agreed with him." She said taking a deep breath

Charlie gave a small nod and sipped at the coffee "Well you let me know if it gets out of hand okay? We can file for harrassment." He muttered

She just nodded, finishing breakfast off and got up to go get ready for the day, her hands shaking badly while she tried to get dressed and she just frowned a little for a minute, eventually making it downstairs and into the study to Charlie, wrapping her arms around him “You ready? What’s this?” She asked him quietly seeing him making notes on a fresh document.

she grumbled some and kept her arms crossed while she waited for dinner and went straight to her rook after, taking Dex with her

Jeff got in after doing the rounds, all hot and sweaty, smiling over at max some. “Come give me w hug.” He grinned chuckling as she dodged him and ran upstairs. “You’re breaking my heart baby.” He called after her but went to take a shower.

Max gasped and got past him before he could hug her laughing happily. She cuddled up close to him when he got in bed and smiled happily "Mmm now you smell good." She murmured kissing him gently "Lana is upset she couldnt spend the night at Amber's."

Charlie smiled softly at her as she came down and quickly closed the document "Just some thoughts for a new book. Got a few ideas I'm throwing around." He murmured softly to her kissing her temple gently "You ready for your appointment?"

He sighed heavily and shook his head. “I’m not arguing with her right now. It’s not worth it.” He muttered burying his face into her hair. “Puts me off having anymore kids when she’s like this.” He grumbled a little and reached to turn the light off.

carmen smiled and nodded pecking his cheek heading to the car and staying quiet the whole way, a little nervous but once they arrived and were in the waiting room she was beginning to relax a little when another dizzy spell hit her and she grabbed at his arm, shutting her eyes tight as this one came with a wave of nausea.

Max nodded softly and gave a soft sigh "But would you ever actually want kids again?" She asked softly but sighed heavily hearing him snoring now.

Charlie frowned some and took her hand in his "Breathe babe, just take deep breaths." He murmured softly to her giving a nurse a worried look

It eventually subsided and she leaned into him some more. “I’m ready for this to be over.” She grumbled and watched him carefully til they called her name, following him through to the office and sat down.... she walked out of there with him sighing in relief a little and grabbed at his hand. “See... just an iron deficiency, gotta eat more broccoli and take a couple supplements.... now are you gonna let me ride again?” She asked him.

Charlie sat in his office looking over the script and screenplay for this movie making a few changes here and there so it was to exactly how he could see it happening. Everything had seemed to be going will with it and his professional career had sky rocketed yet again with his new novel having come out. However his home life was much different. Carmen was getting worse and it was scaring him that he could be loosing her just like he lost Laura.

Max sat at home giving a heavy sigh as she thought things over. She needed to talk to Jeff about her job situation for the moment. She didn't feel right still being a 'nanny' to Lana and him pay her for it. She wanted to try and get back into her passion for photography again, she just hoped Jeff wouldn't be mad about it.

He came home from being in a meeting, pulling his tie off and throwing his jacket on the rack, walking straight upstairs and bypassing her, heading to their bathroom and splashed some water on his face, hearing her come in, "Just a minute." He mumbled, pulling his clothes off and getting into just some shorts, sitting on the edge of their bed and managing to relax once he felt her hands on his shoulder, "I'm alright... Just... It didn't go well." He muttered, leaning back some, "How was your morning?"

Carmen wandered in to his study with some carrot sticks and hummus, pushing it towards him, "Don't think I didn't notice that you haven't eaten yet." She smiled. She knew he was stressed and she knew she was a big worry for that stress so she was doing everythign possible to make thigns a little easier for him, downplaying her symptoms being one thing. "I thought maybe we could order in some pizza, they got all the bourne movies on netflix... Or ink master on prime... anything to just kinda.... relax with." She murmured, wrapping her arms around him and sitting in his lap for a minute.

Max frowned when she saw how stressed he looked as he came in. She followed him upstairs and into their room quietly getting on the bed and starting to massage his shoulders as he sat down "You wanna talk about it?" She said softly to him

Charlie gave a small smile and ate one of the carrots nodding some "Mmm that sounds nice, a think a couple of episodes of Ink Master might do the trick." He murmured frowning as he saw her sway slightly "Sit down beautiful, how are you feeling today?"

"No I just.... Wanna forget about it." He muttered tiredly and melted under her touch some, "Part time was meant to be less stress... but it's still a lot." He muttered, "Oh that's the spot." He grunted happily as he felt her fingers really working at a spot of tension. "You have a relaxing start to your day?" He asked her gently, leaning back against the pillows after a bit and pulling her to lay with him, "Lana didn't give you any hassle did she? Casue if she'd giving you hassle that might mean she's finally tired of being rude to me." He grumbled.

Carmen smiled some, "I feel alright.... Charlie I'm fine right now really." She murmured, cupping his face and pecking his nose, "You worry far too much for your own good... You're gonna get grey hairs." She teased, "We got that book launch party in the city this weekend, I'm thinking maybe we make a whole weekend of it, stay in a nice hotel? Get away from work and whatnot, Alice will watch the horses and the house." She murmured. He'd hired Alice to be a groom now so Carmen only did secretarial stuff after he'd found her sitting on the floor in a stable struggling to stand up, almost getting trampled. She'd argued it to begin with but gave in fairly quickly. "Get you to unwind a bit." she murmured.

Max gave a small shrug as she continued to get him relaxed sighing some. She kissed him gently and stroked his cheek some "It was fine, Lana got to school good." she murmured sighing softly as she watched him "Jeff can I talk to you about something?" she asked biting her lip hard and sighing gently "I um...I don't like being her nanny. I feel like I'm more than that now and I just don't want you paying me bits and pieces anymore...I think we're more than that now too." she explained quietly

Charlie gave a heavy sigh and nodded some "I know I'm okay babe I love you." he murmured cuddling her close kissing her gently "Mmm I like the sound of that actually, nice little get away for us both." he said softly stroking her cheek some "You sure you're okay? You look tired."

He frowned some and pulled her into his side gently. “Alright.... you know o haven’t seen you as her nanny for a long time now.” He murmured glancing down at her, keeping her close. “And I can stop the standing order if you want me to.” He mumbled, kissing her head and inhaling her familiar smell. “I love you... more than i think you know.” He murmured to her.

she nodded and smiled. “I’m alright babe, I just... I dunno... they keep telling me there’s nothing wrong and maybe this is just me for the rest of my life now.” She shrugged. She had adjusted quickly to where her limitations now were but it didn’t mean liked it.

Max gave a small smile and kissed him gently "I love you so much Jeff." She murmured stroking his cheek gently "So what do you want to do for our anniversary?" She asked softly

Charlie frowned and gave a small nod "I'm thinking we go to a specialist and look into it further, because this is certainly not nothing." He murmured
