Beginning Date: Friday January 7th, 2350. First full week of the second semester

Vivian: I wake up with a start as the teacher slams her ruler onto my desk and I blink my eyes rapidly. I had fallen asleep again in class and I could feel the eyes turn to me. The teacher gave me a glare and slowly walks away but I ignore her. I couldn't help it, I didn't care about any of this stuff and I rest my head into my hands to try to stay awake. I look over to the clock. Oh god. Fifteen achingly slow minutes before lunch began. Could this day go any slower? At least today was Friday and I might actually be able to have a life for once. The teacher droned on and on about boring statistics. Who cared? You would think it wouldn't be relevant anymore but that was only my hopes.

Xavier: I could hear the sound of my own heartbeat pounding into my ears. It was getting harder to breathe with every passing moment but I couldn't stop, I wasn't allowed to stop. My drill sergeant was yelling at me to go harder, faster, longer. I really wanted to watch him try to do this, just to wipe that smug look off his face. Finally, I reach my goal and I pant on the track, my arms hanging loose, and my legs like jello. I finished first, as always. I was the top of my class but to my coach, I know I still wasn't good enough. At least he let me take a break as the others caught up to me. Poor bastards, the ones in last place, had no chance to catch their breath before moving onto the next task.

Grace: "Your parents abandoned you," I hear a soft warm voice whisper to me as I watch a bright light slowly revolve around my head. The voice sounded thick and milky, it was tempting to just follow the voice. But then I start to panic, realizing that this wasn't right. I just saw my parents a few days ago, how could they just leave me like this? My arms are restrained as well as my legs and I start to kick. I open my mouth to scream but someone shoves a gag into my mouth. "Grace, we were making such good progress with you. It's a shame really," a woman's voice speaks above my head somewhere. Her voice is sharp and cold, the silkiness gone. I was terrified, I feel a sharp pain in my head and all of my muscles lock up before I black out.

Kathleen: "I can't believe I have to duel Lewis again." She thinks as she blocks a quick thrust from her opponent. "He must still be upset at the last time I beat him." Lewis slashes at her but she dodges and moves in close grabs his wrist and twists it forcing him to release his Saber. "Do you give up yet." she yells. He shakes his head in defeat and raises both hands signaling the end of the match. Kathleen walks away annoyed she had to deal with that nuisance more than once in the week. She sits back at the stadium seating waiting to see the next match begin.

Seamus: Seamus absolutely hates statistics and his face shows it. It was a cheerful sight to see that he wasn't alone when he sees Vivian asleep in class. He was so wrapped up looking at Vivian that he was startled when the professor tried to wake her up. He notices the tired and annoyed look on Vivian's face. "Hey V, do you want to head down to the pizzeria in the city for lunch. I'll pay, you look like you could use a deep dish." He says, fully knowing he is trying to ask her out on a date.

Cardin: "Why in the world do I have to be in this useless class?" Cardin thinks in history class learning about the election of 2016. "Like who gives a damn about some dick bag who was elected as president." Cardin wasn't much for his Gen Ed Classes but he was still top in that as well. He only was excited to go to his next class after lunch, Naval tactics, it was what he was best at.

Vivian: The teacher turns around when Seamus begins talking to me and she raises her finger to her lips, giving a sharp hiss and I had to hide my laughter. I quickly write a note, agreeing to Seamus offer and as soon as the teacher turned her back I flick the paper back to him. This teacher talked nonstop, I never bothered remembering names, but she was so slow and dragged out every second. She would try to teach us to the very last second. I roll my eyes and jump up immediately when the bell rings even though she was in the middle of the sentence and glared at me. But I wasn't the only one, some people were already out the door and I smiled smugly, about to head out myself when she called my name. I head over to her desk, pretending to listen attentively to her lecture about me sleeping in class. "Sorry Mrs. Harvy, I'll try to go to sleep earlier next time," I head out of the room before she could scream at me some more, intentionally messing up her name. I didn't bring anything to class, never did, and I wait for Seamus to catch up to me. I lean outside of the classroom door, my arms crossed, and a scowl placed back on my face.

Xavier: I only got a few minutes of rest before the drill sergeant gave us more exercise tasks to do even though I was still out of breath. I hated this career but I didn't have a choice. I would much rather become a painter or something but that wasn't even an option in this academy. I wanted to do anything but this right now, unfortunately I had to be good at it. Just because I was good at it didn't mean that it was easy. My birthday was coming up, I would turn 21 before the semester was over, which meant I was part of the first group to graduate this hell. Maybe then I could have some real freedom, maybe then I could finally go into the outside world, at least that is what they said when you finish your training here. I could only hope what the rumors said about escaping out of here was true.

Seamus: He walks out of the class room laughing at Vivian's and the teacher's interaction. he meets her outside the room. "Wow, you look chipper after that train wreck. SOOOO let's go get some pizza." He strides cheerfully towards the school door. As he gets closer to the door he has a thought. He turns around to Vivian. "So Viv, we've been friends for years, right? And you trust me, right?"

Vivian: "Friends? Trust? Sure Seamus, to some extent we have both," I say rather vaguely, not giving him much of an answer. He was too cheerful and it annoyed me sometimes and though I would never truly admit it, he was one of the few friends I have. It was easy for people to make friends here, you had to, these are the people you would see for basically the rest of your schooling here. That was at least 14 years and who know what happened after you graduate this place. I begin walking into the city, feeling hungry, though not too fond of the idea of pizza. Maybe I could convince Seamus otherwise once we got there. I freeze for a brief second, there was a strange sight. A small group of children were following around an adult and I nudge Seamus in the stomach, pointing to the group. "Look, I think they're new students! But the look 12 or 13..don't the only ever get new students at like five so that children can learn at a young age? And they seem rather pale and scared.." I was a bit concerned with this sight and other people seemed to notice the group too. But there were guards with the group and seemed to be keeping others away.

Seamus: "I don't know V, Maybe they're trying something new from the same old style. I mean the vault is an odd place, to begin with." He says just as concerned about the group but trying to keep his mind off of it. They come up to the market district of the city and Seamus spots the pizzeria. He gets excited cause he's going to do what he's wanted to do for years now. "I see the pizzeria lets go get a table."

Vivian: "Hmm..maybe.." I try to keep my mind off the group of children but it was hard to do so. I was so concentrated on the group that I forgot to try to redirect Seamus from the pizzeria. I sigh on the insides, not wanting to disappoint him so I sit down at a table as happy as I could. "I want sausage and peppers on the pizza. And you're paying, you promised me," I look around the pizzeria a bit distractedly. This place was so odd, I couldn't wait to get out of here. I missed Xavier, it was a lot easier when he was around, and now he would be leaving soon. Luckily this was his Saturday off so maybe we could hang out for once.

Seamus: "Of course I'm paying when have I ever gone back on my word. Wait, do answer that. So do you have any plans this weekend?" He says while ordering his own pizza. Seamus is very nervous. Normally when he is talking to girls he has no problem but with V it's completely different. When he gets nervous he doesn't really think and when he doesn't think he does something stupid kind of like what he's about to do now. With out even letting he answer he's other question he blurts it out. "VIREALLYLIKEYOUDOYOUWANTTOGOOUTSOMETIME!!!!!"

Vivian: I stare at him, not really sure what to say, I didn't even get a bite out of my pizza nor did I get to answer his question. I was hoping to hang out with Xavier this weekend. Which brought me to question some things, was Seamus the jealous type? Xavier and Seamus were really the only two friends I had and it made me wonder, did Xavier feel this way about me? Probably not. But did I have the same feelings towards Seamus?I really didn't know. "Aren't I technically going out with you right now? Or do you mean like a date?" I say rather slowly, trying to get a feel for my thoughts.

Seamus: "I mean... we are... I was thinking... I don't know I was thinking more so on like an actual date." He was nervous he feels stupid for just coming out and saying it with no warning. "I'm... I'm sorry" His head sinks. "I should have eased into the confession but... I don't know I got too nervous to think." He is still looking down. "Stupid, you are going to ruin everything." The food arrives at the table.

Vivian: "On an actual date," the words stick to me and I really wasn't sure how to respond. I take an awkward bite out of the pizza even though it was obviously hot and melting into my mouth. I almost chocked it out but instead let it burn my tongue and took a sip of my drink. I never thought anyone would ask me out on a date. I never liked anyone and never thought of liking anyone before. But he was one of my only few friends and I didn't want to turn him down. "Okay, I'll go on a date with you. As long as you're not a sputtering idiot," I could at least give him a real chance before completely shooting him down.

Seamus: He gets really excited and almost chokes on his pizza. he begins coughing and tries to answer through the coughs. "I *cough* *cough* I can't promise I won't be an idiot but I promise I will try." He starts eating his pizza again. "So where would you like to go for the date."

Vivian: I roll my eyes at him when he begins chocking on his pizza. Was he always this blubbering before? "I don't know, there's no where to go in this god forsaken town," I complained, irritated at being stuck here. I was done with the pizza and it was getting late, class was going to start soon but I didn't want to go there. "Come on, we should head back before we are late for class," I stand up and begin to leave the pizzeria.

Seamus: "I mean do we really need to go to class." He says with a smirk "Let's just skip it today. It's not like we are going to be arrested for it." He pays for the pizza and grabs her hand at takes her to downtown. "See this is way better than going to class."

Butch wasn't in class today. He was outside of a local garage in the town, with a toothpick in his mouth and his arms crossed. His blue jeans ripped. He looks around the general premises and checks his watch. He sighs, hoping into his motorbike and driving off towards the school. It was quick drive towards the school, mostly because of the high speeds that Butch was driving in. His luck with the traffic lights also helped. Butch always had a fondness for machines, he was proud of his mostly custom made motorbike. As he arrives towards the parking lot of the Academy, he parks the bike and locks it. He threw the keys into the air and caught the keys as they landed, a wide smirk on his face with his aviators on.

His bike was something special. The sleek metallic design and glossy chrome appearance, the engine had high horsepower and could go at high speeds. The design was very sleek and elite looking. With smooth surfaces and curved parts.

Butch was in the machine shop for a while, then when the bell had rung he decided to hit the town for a couple of hours.

(Please check out the about the rp forum as there is vital information I left out previously)

Vivian:
I look at him, with shock on my face. I had not been expecting him to say this. "Whoa, we got a badass over here. It's like we are on the same wavelength. Honestly, I was about to suggest the same thing.." I laugh and grab his hand eagerly. They could get in a lot of trouble for doing this because the school system was really strict. But everyone knew that "specials" were the untouchables. They had a lot more pressure but got away with doing more since they have a lot of options to choose from. Especially since this my last year before I have to choose a career and I'll make it drag out as long as possible. I get out my communicator and send Xavier a message to meet us when he goes on his lunch break. He should be out soon and it would be nice to see him, even if for a little while.

Grace: My head feels like its in the clouds and it was hard to find my balance and continue moving. The lady with the warm voice was speaking once more, explaining about my new home and how I'll have one week to adjust before having to go to classes again. I get put into a dorm with kids my age who all seem the same to me. Classes? How could anyone focus on school? I wanted my mom and dad, but when I tried to think about them, my brain hurt, and I let out a squeak. The woman gives me a sympathetic smile and I try to smile back but couldn't. I can't believe my parents were dead, I just saw them a few days ago..or was it weeks ago? I couldn't really remember anymore, I feel numb inside. But the lady was nice at least, she promised to take care of us.

Seamus: Seamus notices V message someone on her communicator. He has a perfect idea of who it is. "You text Xav? Hopefully, he won't be too worn out to hang out with us." He's hoping he's wrong on who she texted. "Man I wonder why she always hangs out with him no problem but its a hassle for me to get time with her." He leads her to the park to chill out for a bit.

Vivian: "Yeah, I messaged Xavier. I never get to see him these days. He graduates this year and I'm terrified for that. No one knows what happens..I mean...they say we graduate and find a job in the real world but who really knows what is out there. None of us have been there..not since we were young. I secretly hope that Xavier finds a way to take me with him.." I sit on a swing once we reach the park and brood about the outside world and my unknown future.

Seamus: He gets a little sullen when she says this but he jokes a bit to cheer himself up. "Maybe he will take all of us home." he says with a chuckle. He lays in the grass staring at the ceiling watching robots zoom in the air transporting messages, sending orders for students and teachers.

Butch drives into the park's local parking space. He hops off his motorbike and approaches the two, a strange waltz as he approaches the two. "Are you both supposed to be in school?" his eyes covered by his aviators, his jacket gleams in the artificial light, with a toothpick caught between his lips.

Vivian: "Probably not all of us, that would be too obvious. Then again, they can't stop all of us if we try to leave, can they? I'm sure he would take you with us though.." I didn't catch onto Seamus' words as a joke, I wanted desperately this to happen and I knew Xavier felt the same way about this world. Sure, we were taken care of and the staff was nice if not strict, but sometimes they seem too nice and everyone was nervous about the first graduation. Even some of the teachers were unsure of what was going to happen. I look up at the swing when a guy approaches us. I stare at him, his name not catching to me. Was name Billy? Burt? I couldn't put a name to his face. I knew he was in the Mechanical category though. "You know, one could say the same about you," I say to his comment. Every school was on the same schedule and for the "minors" as we are called, lunch time was over. The lunch break for the specialists would start shortly.

Butch shrugs, looking around at the park. "I don't believe it really matters. I'm Butch." Butch looks at Seamus. He takes out the toothpick and says "Am I interrupting anything?" His right eye brow raises as he looks at the two again. He combs his pomade haircut.

Vivian: "No not really, we are in the same class before lunch and skipped it. We are both from Special Category," I state rather bored of the park already. I check my communication device and send Xavier another question. Seamus was the more friendly and talkative one. He could handle Butch.

Seamus: Not really sure how to handle this guy he just does what he normally does with new people. "Hey man so what category you in."

Butch puts his toothpick back between the lips. "I'm a mechanical." Butch's head turns to face Seamus. "Hopefully we'll pass into service, yeah?"
