Lexi is trying to seduce the guy into coming upstairs with her, so she can strip for him and make money to pay her and Kaides rent. She has plenty of money in the bank that she decides to keep (due to her greedieness) and so sells he body for money to pay for rent, for her and Kaides house.

Kaide would probably make money for the house through petty drug dealing, stripping and working her ass off at a crappy bakery.
