Hey, everyone! I'm pretty new around here, but I thought I'd throw out a line and see what happens. Fair warning: I talk a lot so feel free to just skim this, I won't feel too bad, lol.
I roleplay a lot of different genres, and am generally willing to try anything except 99.99% of fandoms. (If you're really, really good, you might convince me to do something set in Harry Potterverse, Pokemon, or a Temeraire-like world, but I have to be in the mood.)
I do not roleplay sex or incredibly graphic violence. The only time I'll do romance is if I trust you and/or it grows organically within the roleplay. I do enjoy lots and lots of action though. I feed off of conflict.
I have some characters here that I enjoy roleplaying and make regular plots for, but I also enjoy making up new characters on the spot, and I also often end up doubling or tripling characters during the roleplay, as needed (and would ask that you either do the same, or tell me straight up that we won't be doubling at all).
My roleplaying style is on the casual side of detailed. I generally manage two or more paragraphs per post, but will usually do more, or sometimes less, depending on what needs to be written. I just ask that every post has enough information and action to progress the roleplay, especially right at the start.
I am very active, and will generally reply several times a day. If either of us lose interest in the roleplay, then just say so; we can either put it on hold or try something else!
I'll put down a (maybe not so) brief list of genres and characters or plots I have for them. Feel free to post or pm me about any of them!

Superpowers
> Winn Yale is a twenty-something superthief who came to the US from Wales. His power, in a nutshell, is the ability to mentally map out his surroundings with enough precision that he can generally find anything. Pre-prison, he worked as a part of a three-person crew stealing things for corporations and mafias. Post-prison, he is on an indefinite probation until he's been "reformed." His restlessness, ill judgment, and kleptomania make this difficult. He spends a lot of time helping the local police find missing people and kids as a part of his mandated community service. (In prison, he mostly sulks in solitary confinement because he mouths off to everyone and keeps getting beat up as a result.)
> Eliseo Montoya is former military who now works for a private security company called Mercury Independent. MI do a lot of jobs for sketchy people that may or may not be supervillains, but they have a fantastic team of lawyers that keep them from being implicated in any schemes. Eli has two daughters and approximately twenty rabbits. His power is the ability to turn into various kinds of metal and metal alloys.
> Marley Veselovsky is a wheelchair-using woman who works at a weapons and technology development company. Her power is very minor and allows her to 'see' the inside workings of tech and machinery. She moonlights as a superhero in a metal suit named Bayonet. Marley is very protective of her secret identity, to the point that instead of registering with the government, she let herself be classified as a vigilante instead and breaks the law every time she goes out as Bayonet.
> Rhiot Archer & Loula - see Military heading.
> I have so many other characters for this genre that it is not even funny. Feel free to ask about them! I would've added a couple more but this post is already hecka long.
Medieval / fantasy
> Banner Tadsson is a soldier from a magic-hating country called Eola. His rank as first lieutenant puts him in charge of thirty or so soldiers, and when his country isn't at war, he's helping to chase down bandits.
> Prince Broderick of Eola is the youngest son and biggest disappointment in his family. Eola is a country known for its military prowess and intense disgust for magic. Brody, unfortunately, is both terrible at combat and gifted with a prodigious magical talent for fire and wind. The struggle to hide his gifts from his family and country grows harder and harder with every year.
> Dynnech, Heir of Padrun, is one of the royal children of a sea-faring, extremely manners-conscientious, people. Though they had a small, hidden pocket of land to call their own, most Padrunni spend most of their lives on the sea. They have recently and secretly developed firearms, a secret that any one of them would die to keep from the rest of the world. He is the second-youngest in his family, and plays at being a diplomat while also undertaking the chore of becoming a priest in his country's religion.
DRAGONS
> These characters are generally for our world that is Not Magical Whatsoever, except there are also dragons.
> Leona is a young woman who found a dragon egg when she was sixteen. It hatched and the dragon, Lorelei, imprinted on Leona before they could find the rightful owners. Most dragons are usually reserved for governmental/military purposes, because it costs an enormous amount to keep one fed and happy. Leona didn't want to join the military, though, and instead she and Lorelei moved to a tiny, tiny town in Arizona's mountains. They hunt elk and run a diner and talk about going to college some day. Lorelei may be one of a new, secret breed created by the military, but neither of them care about this. (This is modern day.)
> James Bryant inherited a war-dragon from his grandfather. The dragon, Evander, is a fire-breathing breed who is still grieving over losing his first human partner, which makes it very difficult for his crew to get him back into combat. (This is set in ye olden cowboy days, but usually in a faux-American world because I don't want to deal with Actual History.)
> Honestly I love love love dragons, if you have an idea, then hit me up!
Military
> Rhiot Archer has a superpower that allows him to connect a number of people together on a sort of mental link that allows everyone in the link to hear, feel, see, and otherwise sense what everyone else is feeling. He and his dog, Loula, have been so deeply connected for so long that they have a serious case of separation anxiety. They have been trained in explosives ordinance disposal, but Loula's intelligence is, interestingly enough, increasing as her bond with Rhiot grows. These characters are available for both a modern-day superhero roleplay, and a futuristic, police state sort of setting.
> I love soldier characters so much that it is no longer funny. I am deeply interested in an episodic squad roleplay where they go out on missions and stuff. Pretty much any genre will work for me. I have some more military characters, but most of these deal with the superpowers genre.
Superpowers
> This is a present-day setting. A tiny town in the middle of Utah is invaded one morning by a bunch of strange soldiers who are trying to dig up the church looking for government secrets. Anyone with superpowers is separated from the rest of the town.
> This is a present-day setting. A team of American superheroes are suspected by the government of going rogue. A squad of powered soldiers are dispatched to arrest them, or, if they have to, take the superheroes down.
> This is a futuristic setting. The country is now a police state, with very strict regulations for citizens. Anyone with powers is collected by the government so that they can be brainwashed trained for various purposes, which largely involves military or law enforcement. The country is dealing with a war on its borders, but keeps the details of it secret from the citizenry and instead insists that they are winning. At the same time, a rebellion is growing within its borders.
Dystopia
> The city of Meritum is divided into sections called ranks. At fifteen, everyone must take a yearly exam that places them in a rank that best reflects their intelligence, aptitude, and talents. For example, Rank 1 is considered the highest, and involves much of the top layer of city government, while Rank 9 is basically the slums and people who are considered to have no societal value, who work in factories to create the basic necessities of life. Rank 10 is located out in the wilderness, and is a prison colony responsible for gathering resources to send to the city. Anyone can retake the test as many times as they want to climb or fall down the ranks. The system has become a broke, self-fulfilling prophecy, because the lower ranks don't have proper educational resources, which means it's very difficult for people born and raised their to make it to the higher ranks, while people in higher ranks have better education, so it's easier to maintain their rank.
